Good morning. I am a beauty acupuncture practitioner, Kozue. The other day, I stopped by a tantanmen noodle shop in Akasaka. This time, I visited a shop called Kisurin. The shop is located at a corner of a alley between Akasaka Station and Akasaka Mitsuke Station. There is a ticket machine near the entrance, with towels placed on top for self-service. The interior of the shop is a U-shaped counter with 8 seats, creating an intimate atmosphere. The menu mainly consists of tantanmen noodles, available in mild, medium, or spicy levels, with an option for added pork ribs. There is also a chargeable option for cilantro and complimentary small rice offered when the noodles are served. This time, I ordered the mild tantanmen noodles. The mixture of white sesame sauce and spicy chili oil looked very appetizing. The noodles were thin and coated well with the soup. The mild level had a subtle spiciness, but it seemed like it could be a bit spicier. The sesame flavor paired well with the noodles. The stir-fried minced meat and bean sprouts were cooked perfectly, and I thought the completion of Kisurin's tantanmen was excellent. It was the most delicious tantanmen I had ever eaten. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was tantanmen. It's been a while since I had tantanmen! As I ate, I remembered, "Oh, this is how tantanmen tastes!" The mildly spicy soup was rich and flavorful - delicious! The noodles were also tasty, and the crunchy bean sprouts added a nice texture. This shop always has a long line, but since I went just outside of lunchtime, I was able to get in without waiting. By the time I left, there was a short line forming. It was a delicious meal!

This time I ordered the pork rib tantanmen, and it came with free rice. Before, I think there was cilantro included, but now it only came with stir-fried bean sprouts and chives on top. There were Sichuan pepper and vinegar on the table. The best part of tantanmen is the numbing sensation, so please add Sichuan pepper. It was enjoyable!

Visited after 4 months!! The Spicy Pork Rib Tantanmen was delicious!! Located 4.5 minutes on foot from Akasaka Station and Akasaka-Mitsuke Station! Arrived around 11:10 for lunch to avoid waiting. No wait! But by 11:15, there was a line of 2-3 people. Barely made it in time! I had the impression it would be around 1200 yen, but did the prices go up?! Oh well, can't help it! The Spicy Pork Rib Tantanmen was 1,500 yen. You can choose the spiciness level from 3 options, and I chose medium spice! Rice is complimentary!! Paper apron and wet towel are available on the ticket machine! Waited for about 5-6 minutes and the bowl arrived!! Been looking forward to this!! The soup was rich, creamy, and amazing!! The pork ribs had a curry flavor, crispy and can be eaten on their own or dipped in the soup. The noodles were thin and straight, with a good texture, very tasty! Put the pork ribs and pickled mustard greens on the rice!! It was so delicious that I finished everything! Ate the remaining dried shrimp and meat in the bowl and finished everything! Will visit again in about six months!

*Pork Rib Tantan Men (Medium Spicy) $15
The restaurant only has 9 counter seats! There is no prominent sign at the entrance, so it's easy to miss. But on the other side of the door, there is a stylish space with a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for women to dine alone.
I was torn between getting the Tantan Men without pork ribs or going all out with everything included. While waiting for the ramen, the server asked if I wanted the rice that comes with it, and I spotted pickled vegetables on the table, so I opted for a small portion of rice (which I usually skip).
When the Tantan Men arrived, I was surprised by how red the soup was! It looked like it might be spicy, but the creamy flavor of the soy milk in the soup made it enjoyable. The freshly fried pork ribs were delicious and crispy, and dipping them in the soup added another layer of flavor. There was also a generous amount of bean sprouts! They were probably sautéed in oil, so...
If you start to feel heavy, there is vinegar on the table, so adding some for a flavor boost is a good idea.===========

After sweating it out in the sauna in Tokyo, the spicy tantanmen noodles are exceptional. The elegant rich soup combined with the curry-flavored pork is amazing. They also serve a mini rice to enjoy after the pork bowl, so I recommend adding it to the tantanmen soup and eating it like ochazuke.

It's been more than 10 years since my last visit. I arrived at a somewhat odd time so I was able to get in without waiting in line. That was lucky. I chose the medium-spicy tantanmen at the ticket machine and handed over my food ticket. What arrived was a very visually appealing bowl of tantanmen. I added plenty of pickled mustard greens from the condiments on the table. It's convenient that the pickled mustard greens are free. However, I felt that the taste was somewhat mild, lacking a bit of punch. In the Akasaka area, I think Daruma might take the prize.

This is Kisurin Akasaka. I went there this year as well, feeling the annual tradition. The simple curtain may make it difficult to find the location of the shop. The tantanmen has a rich soup with sesame flavor and is delicious, but personally I think the spare ribs are unnecessary. The person cooking is kind and speaks politely, which is nice. #MealtimeMemories #Kisurin #Akasaka #AkasakaMitsuke #TameikeSanno #Akasuka #Ramen #Tantanmen #Spareribs #SpareribsTantanmen #Cooking #Beauty #Beautiful #Photo #Photooftheday

I visited at 1 pm on a weekday. There were three people lined up in front of the 9-seat counter, so I waited for about 10 minutes. I grabbed an apron and a wet towel from the ticket machine and then took my seat. I ordered the small spicy tantan noodles. The combination of fragrant miso minced meat and sesame is irresistible. The thin straight noodles are a perfect match. There are plenty of bean sprouts, so it's quite filling. The staff mentioned, "You can order extra rice even with just one bite. Feel free to let us know anytime if you want it, even after finishing your meal." I'll try the medium spicy next time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant on Monday at noon. It's a small place with 7 counter seats. When I arrived at 12:05, there were 6-7 people waiting in line. I bought food tickets at the front and picked up a paper apron and a wet towel from the machine. I ordered a small spicy tantanmen, my oldest daughter ordered a small spicy paiko tantanmen, and my youngest daughter ordered a medium spicy tantanmen. We sat at the back table and enjoyed the meal. We were asked if we wanted rice, and all three of us said yes. We added as much pickled veggies as we liked to our rice and tantanmen, and enjoyed the meal. The small spicy tantanmen wasn't very spicy, so next time, I'll try the medium spicy one. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant at night because there is usually a long line during the day. Although it was full, I only had to wait for about 10 minutes to be seated as there was no line. The restaurant is not very large, so it seems like the turnover rate might be low during the day. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles (medium spicy) and received my order fairly quickly after purchasing the meal ticket. They asked if I wanted rice on the side. At first, the Dan Dan noodles didn't seem too spicy, but as I kept eating, it got a bit too much for me. I thought I should have gone for the mild instead. However, by adding some vinegar, it became more mellow and I enjoyed it until the end. If they had toppings like soy milk, they could make soy milk Dan Dan noodles, which I think would be the perfect dish. The price has increased – the Dan Dan noodles are now 1050 yen, while the pork bone Dan Dan noodles are 1500 yen.

- Atmosphere of the shop: Located within walking distance of Akasaka Station, with a calm atmosphere and around 10 seats.
- Ordered dish: Spicy Tan Tan Men with Fried Pork Ribs (¥1,200).
- Details of each dish:
Tan Tan Men: if ordered in medium spice, it is not too spicy for those who are sensitive to spiciness. The topping of bean sprouts and leeks gives it a stir-fry vegetable-like flavor. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The noodles are thin and slippery.
- Overall evaluation: The unforgettable Tan Tan Men that excels in noodles, soup, and toppings.

During a business trip to Tokyo, I visited this place for the first time! I ordered the medium-spicy tantanmen noodles! The sesame flavor was rich, and the broth was creamy and had just the right amount of spice! White rice is also provided for free. The seating is only at the counter, and there was a constant flow of customers coming in. As they operate quickly, there doesn't seem to be much of a wait.

I have heard great things about this place for a while, and finally had the chance to visit for the first time. After just one bite, I couldn't help but let out a sound of delight - the tantanmen noodles here are truly delicious! It might just be one of the best in the city! The rich soup, generous vegetables, and crispy pork ribs all come together perfectly. It's like a masterpiece of tantanmen. Especially the vegetables stir-fried in a Chinese wok add a fantastic balance. I would eat this tantanmen over and over again. The price is a bit high at 1,500 yen, but I believe it's worth every single yen for the quality of the ramen!

I ordered the spicy pork rib tantanmen and a glass of Shaoxing wine on the rocks. I declined the complimentary rice. The sesame flavor of the soup and the wheaty taste of the noodles were amazing. The pork rib tantanmen was elegantly yet wildy prepared, with a homemade spicy sauce that had a great kick of Sichuan pepper, which complemented the soup perfectly.

Paradise for Dan Dan Noodle Enthusiasts
Nestled quietly in Minato Ward, Tokyo, "Kisurin Akasaka" has become a popular destination for dan dan noodle lovers. Located just a 3-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, this hidden gem is worth a visit despite its lack of a large sign. Be careful not to pass it by, as there are nearby Chinese restaurants around. The interior features only counter seating, with a unique display of evenly-spaced grinding rods at the top.
Established in 2005, "Kisurin Akasaka" has been well-regarded in the world of dan dan noodles for its history and dedication. The menu is simple, offering various options such as spiciness levels, broth preferences, spare ribs, and temperature choices within the realm of dan dan noodles. I opted for the "Sparerib Dan Dan Noodles - Slightly Spicy" and added complimentary rice for a fulfilling meal.
"Immerse Yourself in Dan Dan Noodles! Experience the Sweetness of Sesame Paste" - True to its slogan, this dish shines with the rich sweetness of sesame paste. Venturing away from the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line towards the east, you'll find the Espalandor Shopping Street, which was once known as Tamachi Street and is now home to traditional Japanese eateries.
Set aside calorie concerns and enjoy dan dan noodles with spare ribs and free rice at "Kisurin Akasaka." The crispy sautéed bean sprouts and garlic chives will whet your appetite, while the ingredients cooked in a wok offer a delicious depth of flavor.
A dining experience at "Kisurin Akasaka" is a delight for dan dan noodle fans. The wide range of unique dan dan noodles and the prominent flavor of sesame paste are a must-try. Add this culinary experience to your food journey.

After finishing the Bon Festival, Tanaka-kun's death anniversary is approaching. Today, I decided to eat something he loved...so I came to Akasaka-mitsuke. I went to the specialty shop for tantan-men called "Kirisu Hayashi". Since it's Sunday, it shouldn't be too crowded...I thought as I arrived about 10 minutes after opening time. The inside of the shop was packed with customers, and there were a few people waiting. I had to wait outside the shop for a while, and it was hot because of the air conditioner's outdoor unit. I thought of it as a training to eat delicious tantan-men, so I waited patiently and bought a meal ticket. I ordered the spicy dandan noodles with spare ribs and coriander, costing 1700 yen. There was a refrigerator on top of the ticket machine where I could take a moist towel before sitting down. The shop only had a counter with nine seats surrounding the kitchen. Next to the noodle boiling machine, there was a Chinese wok where the vegetables were stir-fried to match the timing of the noodles getting ready. The sound of roaring flame and the clanking of the pot hitting the stove's surface mixed with the sizzle of the iron ladle rubbing against the pot created a lively atmosphere in the kitchen. At the same time, a delicious smell wafted in, and the dish was ready. The generously portioned spare ribs tantan-men was served. Akasaka is a town with many specialty tantan-men shops. There is also "Hashigo" nearby, which I preferred. Tanaka-kun liked this place. We used to decide whether to eat at this shop or Hashigo for the last tantan-men after drinking in Akasaka by playing rock-paper-scissors. For some reason, I could always guess what Tanaka-kun would choose...I used to win every time. I wish I had let him win sometimes and now I regret it. This tantan-men has stir-fried bean sprouts, greens, and wood ear mushrooms on top. I found them a bit intrusive, while Tanaka-kun liked them. It makes sense as they provide some relief between the spiciness of the soup and the interesting crunchy texture. The noodles are thin yet firm with a smooth surface, and the bite is not bad at all. Eating it after a long time, I started to think that it's actually quite delicious...and I smiled. The soup has a pleasant sesame bitterness as an accent. Since it's very spicy, the heat is significant, but there is hardly any numbing sensation. There is Sichuan pepper oil provided separately for adjusting the spiciness to your preference. The crispy spare ribs cut with a big Chinese cleaver are fragrant and break apart nicely, adding a lively touch to your mouth. Adding vinegar enhances the umami while softening the sesame’s bitterness. Eating it with the complimentary rice topped with pickled vegetables made me eat heartily until my stomach was full. Both my stomach and heart were satisfied!

The entrance is a bit hidden by the curtain, but you'll notice the line of people waiting outside. Arrived at 13:30 on a Sunday with 6 people waiting ahead. Ordered chilled tantanmen with spare ribs, large spicy tantanmen with spare ribs, medium spicy tantanmen with coriander topping, and wonton soup. The soup had a delicious vegetable flavor, and the thin noodles, spare ribs, and sautéed vegetables balanced perfectly. The level of spiciness was manageable even on the large spicy option, but it can make you sweat, so it's not recommended for those who are sensitive to spice. If you enjoy numbness, you can opt for medium spicy and add homemade spicy sauce on the table. The chilled version had a slight sourness, while the warm version highlighted the sesame aroma more, so choosing between the two depends on personal preference. If you're looking to eat ramen in the Akasaka area, this is a great choice. Next time, I'd like to try their soup-less tantanmen as well. Don't forget to try the pickled veggies on the table, as they are surprisingly delicious.

I have been there several times and there may be personal preferences, but overall I have been impressed with the richness, vegetables, noodles, and general quality. However, some people may not like the dried shrimp or seasoning. They also offer rice and pickled vegetables, satisfying both the taste and the playful spirit.

Dandan noodles small spicy for 1050 yen. Visited around 8:00 PM on a weekday. As soon as I entered the restaurant, there was a ticket machine on the right where I bought the small spicy dandan noodles. The interior of the restaurant is small with only 8 counter seats. There were 6 customers ahead of me. The dish was served in about 8 minutes. They asked if I wanted rice, so I decided to have some. It was served in a small rice bowl. The noodles were topped with stir-fried bean sprouts and minced meat. The noodles were very thin and straight with a bit firm texture. The combination of the bean sprouts added a nice contrast in texture. The soup had a good sesame and nut flavor with a rich umami taste, complemented by the minced meat. The spiciness level was not too high, so medium spicy might have been a better choice. I tried the rice with the pickled vegetables on the table, which was delicious.

It had been many years since my last visit. I couldn't remember the menu at all because it had been so long! When I arrived for lunch, there was a line of about 6 people outside the restaurant. With only 8 seats inside, I knew I would have to wait. I ordered the extra spicy Tan Tan Men with a topping of coriander and wontons. The Tan Tan Men had a thick and rich sesame soup with stir-fried bean sprouts and minced meat on top. It was supposed to be very spicy, but it wasn't that hot, so I added some chili oil from the table. The chili oil had a refreshing scent of Sichuan pepper, which lightened up the rich soup. The noodles were thin and surprisingly large portion. I ended up feeling quite full from the rich soup and noodles. Thank you for the meal!
