On the 83rd cup in 2023, I came to Ikebukuro to watch a movie in the sweltering heat, but I had eaten a bowl of ramen before the screening time, so I did some research and found "Miso Menjo Tasakaya" which caught my interest, so I went there right away. According to Tabelog, the restaurant opened in March 2023 and is located where a long-established ramen shop called "Elbis" used to be. The restaurant's Twitter: https://twitter.com/TASAKAYA_miso It is said that this is the hometown of "Miso Menjo Hanadoan". "Menjo Hanada," a popular restaurant, is also from "Miso Menjo Hanadoan." I arrived at the restaurant before 11:30 and was able to enter immediately, but afterwards it was full and there was a line. According to online information, there is always a line, so I was lucky today as it was during the Bon holiday. Inside the restaurant, there was a ticket machine, and after some consideration, I purchased a ticket for the Chashu Spicy Miso Ramen with extra noodles (1,330 yen). There were only counter seats, so I handed in my ticket and sat down. The seat was near the entrance, so the air conditioning did not reach, but it was hot, but I stopped worrying because I knew I would sweat after eating ramen. Water was self-service, and paper napkins were provided. It seemed that you could get a paper apron if you asked the staff. Looking through the counter, I saw that bean sprouts were stir-fried in a wok and then transferred to a bowl. A large pot was used to cook the soup, and then it was poured into a small pot, warmed, and then poured into a bowl with noodles added. The ingredients were served on top. The amount of bean sprouts was impressive. First, I tried the soup, which had a rich animal-based broth with a strong miso flavor, which was delicious. It was a spicy miso, but it wasn't that spicy. The salt content was quite high, but it was a taste that you could get used to. The noodles were made by "Shinjuku Daruma Seimen" as written on the noodle box in the kitchen, and when I looked it up later, the noodle factory was "Nagi Spirits Japan Co., Ltd." http://shinjuku-darumaseimen.jp/ The flat type noodles had a good texture. I got the extra noodles, but the soup was so rich that I might have been better off getting the "noodle special". The toppings included stir-fried bean sprouts, menma, green onions, and a large slice of chashu. I ate the stir-fried bean sprouts after soaking them in the soup. The chashu was flavorful and delicious. I added chili pepper and garlic from the table halfway through to change the flavor. I couldn't finish the soup, but I was able to finish all the noodles and toppings. The service was polite, and the operation was efficient, making it a pleasant experience. Another popular restaurant has appeared in Ikebukuro, a ramen battleground. I look forward to what's to come... (゜д゜) Delicious!!!
