"Shunyacchan" is a ramen shop that opened in February 2021 in Takao. As the name suggests, it operates as a night-only food stall and is closed on rainy days. Located just a 3-4 minute walk from Takao Station South Exit, the stall has a counter for about 3 people, and there are 4 tables on the left side of the shop. The main menu includes "Ramen" for 750 yen, "Chashu Ramen" for 950 yen, and "So Ramen" for 600 yen, along with other toppings and simple side dishes. The ramen is free of additives and chemical seasonings. The "Ramen" for 750 yen features noodles lined up in a dark-colored soup, topped with chashu, menma, blanched green vegetables, grated onion, nori, and other ingredients. The soup has a rich umami flavor without being too oily, with a strong dashi taste that includes chicken and pork. The absence of chemical seasonings allows the gentle flavor to permeate. The generous amount of grated onion pairs well with the soup. The straight, thin noodles are chewy and delicious. The thick slices of shoulder chashu provide a satisfying bite. The shop has a modern feel with nostalgic elements, influenced by the former "Kamiya" in Takao. Operating as a food stall was made possible through connections, as obtaining a permit for a new stall is now difficult. Enjoying Hachioji ramen in the cold winter from a food stall was a great experience.

"I had a delicious meal of Ajitama Ramen, cabbage, and canned beer at a food stall. It had been a while since I had street ramen, the last time being at Nakajima Ramen near Chofu Station! It was located about a 5-minute walk from Takao Station, with a bright red lantern shining. Next to the food stall, there were three sets of tables with roofs, so I quickly took a seat at one of them. I first ordered a canned beer and cabbage, which were marinated in a special sauce and paired well with the beer. Then, I ordered the ramen. The ramen had a thin oil film, a strong soy sauce flavor, and neatly arranged medium-thin straight noodles. It was a very elegant bowl of street ramen with ingredients like a mountain of onions in the center, greens, char siu, menma, and especially flavorful seaweed that added a touch of luxury. Despite being quite drunk, I managed to finish the ramen by adding the leftover cabbage on top. I won't forget the street ramen I had in Takao. Thank you for the delicious meal, it was great!"

【August 17, 2023】Survey report. Let's release all the accumulated reviews at once!! Arrived at 19:15. The place was full at that time. Operating in a corner of the parking lot of "Sogochi Bakery & Cafe Inakoppe". It's a rare street stall style these days. By the way, the stall was apparently made by a former carpenter. ■ Seating Configuration 4 counter seats at the stall 3 wooden tables for 4 people each ■ Operation A young male-female pair. The woman has a cheerful and likable customer service. Ordered "Char Siu Ramen" for 950 yen + "Onion" for 50 yen + "Nori" for 50 yen verbally. Served in 18 minutes. ◆ Visual 4.2 points The noodles are neatly arranged and look beautiful. The ramen is topped generously with onions, which is a characteristic of Hachioji ramen. ◆ Soup 3.9 points The soup has a base of animal stock with a hint of dried fish and bonito. The surface of the soup is covered with plenty of flavored oil, creating a rich taste. The sweet soy sauce base is distinctive. ◆ Noodles 3.8 points There was a box of "Tamura noodles" on display. The noodles are straight and thin, with a slightly firm texture and a strong bite. The default noodle portion felt generous. ◆ Char Siu 3.9 points The char siu is made from pork shoulder meat, roasted to a crispy and fragrant exterior. The meat is flavorful and powerful. I highly recommend trying the Char Siu Ramen. ◆ Menma 3.8 points The menma sliced into strips is slightly thick, providing a crunchy and satisfying texture. ◆ Other Ingredients Komatsuna, Nori 【Overall Evaluation】 While eating, I suddenly felt like having Goemon's ramen haha. It seems my companion had the same thought haha.

I found out that there was a food stall ramen near Takao Station South Exit, so I decided to check it out. This was actually my first time trying food stall ramen! The stall was set up in the parking lot of a bakery, with about three 4-person tables. Despite being a food stall, it seemed to have a decent capacity. They only offered one type of ramen, which was the soy sauce-based Hachioji Ramen. I ordered the regular ramen for 750 yen and added a flavored egg for 100 yen. The ramen arrived in about 10 minutes and had a refined and beautiful presentation, just like what you would expect from a regular restaurant! The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles with a good texture. The Hachioji Ramen's characteristic onions were not too spicy, which was good! The chashu had a bit more fat, but it wasn't too heavy and was quite easy to eat. The seafood-based soup was not too salty, just right. The spinach topping was a nice touch. It was a well-balanced and complete ramen. The only disappointing part was the flavored egg. I prefer slightly sweet soy sauce eggs, but this one was a salty boiled egg. It was really salty! It was quite salty... I had to eat it with the noodles or wash it down with water because of how salty it was. Next time, I will skip the topping.

What is Yatai Ramen Shunyacchan? Yatai Ramen Shunyacchan in Takao opened on February 16, 2021. It is a popular shop often featured on TV and YouTube that I have been curious about for a while. According to a video from "Nippon Television NEWS," the founder of Shunyacchan is the owner of Takao's "Charcoal-grilled Meat Goshichi." Due to the pandemic, the sales at the yakiniku restaurant decreased significantly, leading to a crisis. As a result, the owner decided to open a yatai ramen, which he had wanted to do for a long time. The yatai is handmade by the owner's father, who is a carpenter. The location utilizes the parking space of "Delicatessen Bakery & Cafe Inakoppe," also owned by the owner. The preparation is done at the yakiniku restaurant, allowing for the use of high-quality ingredients. The ramen recipe was taught by the now-closed Hachioji Ramen famous shop "Kamiya." The name of the shop, Shunyacchan, is derived from the owner's name, Toshiya Ochiai. As of July 10, 2023, Yatai Ramen Shunyacchan has a Tabelog rating of 3.37, Ramen DB score of 80.259 points, and Google Map rating of 3.9. 3. How to get to Yatai Ramen Shunyacchan and its business hours Address: 1277-8 Umezawacho, Hachioji, Tokyo 193-0845 About a 3-minute walk from Keio Takao Station South Exit. It is also convenient to use JR Takao Station via Keio Takao Station. You can see the Keio Takao Line running above Shunyacchan from the shop. When you turn right on the street, you will see the yatai. The atmosphere of Takao Shunyacchan's yatai is very welcoming. The shop in the back is "Delicatessen Bakery & Cafe Inakoppe." When I arrived around 7 p.m. on a Saturday, it was not crowded, but there was a line when I left. It seems to be a very popular shop. [Takao Shunyacchan business hours] Tue-Sat: 18:00-23:00 Closed irregularly Closed in case of rain or rain forecast It is actually my second time visiting Shunyacchan, but the first time it was closed due to a rain forecast. Please be careful. 4. Menu and atmosphere of Yatai Ramen Shunyacchan The menu includes Ramen for 750 yen and Char Siu Ramen for 950 yen. I ordered the Char Siu Ramen as the Char Siu seems to be popular. It is clearly stated that there are no additives or chemical seasonings. That's amazing. The table condiments are pepper and vinegar. You can see the owner working from a distance. There was a noodle box labeled "Tamura Noodles." This is from Tamura Shoten. The outdoor setting gives a very open feeling. The large parasol on the seat adds to the nice atmosphere. 5. Char Siu Ramen I had at Yatai Ramen Shunyacchan Wow. The Char Siu Ramen looks impressive, including the Char Siu. It doesn't look like typical yatai ramen. Toppings include seaweed, menma, komatsuna, and the Hachioji Ramen staple, onions. There are four nicely colored slices of Char Siu. The soup has a "gentle" taste that everyone would say is nice. The soy sauce kick is mild. It has a good balance of animal and fish flavors without feeling lacking. However, you don't feel a deep umami flavor much. The straight thin noodles are neatly arranged. They are slightly firm. The noodles are delicious, even though the interaction with the soup is not strong due to the gentle taste of the soup. The komatsuna is crisp. The seasoned menma is crunchy and delicious.

I never thought I could eat delicious street ramen in front of the parking lot of the side dish bakery cafe "Inakoppe" in Takao. The noodles are straight. There are also seasonal toppings like rapeseed blossoms. Eating ramen under the open sky is really refreshing. Thank you for the meal.

I discovered a street ramen stall while zapping through YouTube. In the midst of the tough times caused by the pandemic, the owner decided to start a street ramen stall as a new venture after facing difficulties in their main business. They began learning how to make ramen from the now closed shop called "Kamiya," which used to be in Hachioji. I had visited Kamiya a few times and their ramen had a unique and delicious flavor. The firm noodles were also to my liking. The only downside was that the soup felt slightly lukewarm, probably due to being outdoors. It is a rare find to have a street ramen stall in Hachioji, and I look forward to seeing how they further evolve in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I heard about a delicious ramen shop that only opens at night and doesn't open when it rains, so I planned a night hike to Mt. Takao. I arrived around 8:30 PM on Friday, feeling hungry after work, and hiked up Mt. Takao. The restaurant was packed, but I was told to wait on the premises. Luckily, a seat opened up in front of the kitchen after a short wait. I ordered the Chashu Ramen for 950 yen. The noodles had a nice chewy texture and the soup had a seafood broth, which was what you would call a gentle flavor. It was a gentle flavor but not lacking in any way, and it was very delicious. It was a good restaurant that also provided a good topic of conversation.

Rare nowadays, a food stall ramen. Parked my car at a nearby coin parking and went to the shop. The taste is classic Hachioji ramen. Shiny with oil, and the noodles are neatly arranged. The chashu has a satisfying texture. Personally, I think it could be a bit richer in flavor. As a food stall ramen, it's perfect for a drink to finish off. Next time I drink near Hachioji Station, I want to eat ramen at Shunyacchan. I think it would taste even better in the winter when the cold makes it even more delicious.

I usually don't go to food stalls for ramen, so this was my first try. I ordered a simple soy sauce ramen. I usually can't finish the soup when I eat ramen, but here I was able to drink it all. It was easy to eat and delicious. I added some chrysanthemum leaves as a topping. I love chrysanthemum leaves, and it was my first time having them on ramen, but they were a good match. Delicious. I will definitely go back.

Since it was introduced by Ninomiya-san, it was crowded. I parked my car at a nearby home center and leisurely ate. However, I ended up being locked out as the home center's entrance was closed. I was locked out on a weekday night at 7:30 PM. The tables and counter were full, with a line of 10 people. The appearance was an advantage and stimulated my appetite. Perhaps due to being outdoors, towards the end, the soup became lukewarm and it was a bit disappointing that the chashu had a slight porky smell. Nevertheless, I would go back again.

Five minutes walk from Takao Station. In addition to food stalls, there are a few table seats, so I sat there. I ordered "ramen" from the waiter when I sat down. It arrived in about 4 minutes. It was a delicious soy sauce ramen with thin straight noodles, and eating ramen outside in the cold weather was very enjoyable.

It's a food stall. I went and arrived, waited a bit in line but was seated quickly. The char siu ramen is cooked at the stall, and the cooking space is small so it takes a bit of time. The quality of the food is high for a food stall! The portion of noodles is relatively large. The light soup doesn't seem to be boiled. The onions are finely chopped. It's Hachioji ramen. However, with the outside temperature at 7 degrees, the thick char siu cools quickly. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by a ramen food stall in Takao Station that caught my attention while watching the TV show Ramen Detective on BS Fuji. The stall opens at 6 pm, and by mid-November, it was already night. The parking space was about a 5-minute walk from the station, and there were many students heading home, although the main customers did not seem to be students. The stall owner was a trendy young person. It's interesting to see someone starting a new food stall nowadays, maybe because it's in a parking lot rather than on the street. I ordered the Ajitama Ramen for 850 yen. The thin noodles were neatly folded, and the soup base was soy sauce and fish broth, typical of Hachioji ramen. You can't go wrong with Hachioji ramen. The ajitama egg was slightly runny, and the chashu had a chewy texture, making it quite meaty. Eating ramen under the autumn night sky was a great location that enhanced the flavors.

There is a ramen food stall near Keio Line Takao Station. As a ramen lover, I had to go! I invited my wife and son and we went. There is a supermarket nearby where we parked the car and did some shopping before walking about 3 minutes to the stall. We saw the stall's red lantern in a private parking lot, right under the elevated Keio Takao Line where trains passed by. The seating consisted of a few seats at the stall itself and four 4-person tables under umbrellas. It was crowded, so we waited for about 5 minutes before being seated. I ordered ramen with extra onions and sprouts as toppings, my wife had ramen with a flavored egg, and my son had a large serving of ramen. My wife kindly offered to be the designated driver on the way back. After about 15 minutes, our ramen arrived, looking beautiful with noodles topped with onions, large chashu, spinach, sprouts, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. The soup had a gentle soy sauce base with a rich flavor of dried fish. The noodles were firm and delicious. I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the bamboo shoots the most. It was a delightful experience, and I felt happy and satisfied.

I had never had the chance to visit a restaurant near Takao Station that only operates on weekday nights. After finishing my business at EAS Takao, I decided to wander towards Takao Station. I arrived before 8 pm and was surprised to see only two groups of customers. I had imagined it would be much more crowded. It seemed to have calmed down quite a bit, with a few outdoor stalls and wooden tables and benches reminiscent of a park. Having warm ramen outdoors in the chilly morning and evening weather at this time of year sounded perfect. I thought I would order from the stall owner, but instead, I had to wait at a table for a waitress to take my order, which was a bit unusual for an outdoor ramen stall. I ordered the chashu ramen without any additional toppings. The chashu was thick and had a good chewy texture, but it had a bit too much fat for my liking. The soup was delicious, although I couldn't quite figure out what kind of broth it was. I finished every last drop of the soup. When I was paying at the stall, I noticed a sandwich that looked like a ball with plenty of fillings. I bought one strawberry sandwich, which had a generous amount of cream but was not overly sweet. The bread was sandwiched between two slices of crusty bread. Overall, the outdoor ramen experience was enjoyable and the food was delicious.

The ramen at the food stall was delicious and it had been a while since I last had it. The stall had a combination of food stall and 4-person seating (could possibly fit 6 people if squeezed in) with about 4 tables. The ingredients were carefully prepared, and it was evident that the spinach was not frozen, which was a pleasant surprise. The finely chopped onions blended well with the soup and were also delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I have lived near Takao for almost 20 years, and I was curious about the new food stall that opened up, as there used to be a small ramen stall in front of the south exit of the station. Next to the stall, there are tables and chairs set up, providing a spacious seating area. It seems to open at 6:00 PM, and when I arrived a little after 6:00, all the tables and chairs were full, with everyone enjoying ramen and snacks. There were even children present, creating a nice atmosphere. We sat at the counter of the stall. Paper cups with ice water were provided for us. We ordered the "Ramen with extra noodles and onions" (¥800). Ramen in Hachioji is always reasonably priced. The appearance of the ramen was beautiful. The soy sauce broth was clear, with green vegetables on top giving it a refreshing impression. However, when I took a sip of the soup, I could faintly taste the umami of seafood in the background of the chicken and pork bone broth. Yes, I really liked this ramen. The chashu pork was also quite generous in portion. Despite ordering the large size, I ended up finishing the soup as well. It was a hot day with scorching heat, but I enjoyed the meal. It seems like the stall is competing not only in atmosphere but also in taste. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back again!

Recently, it has suddenly become hot. My daughter's room is directly hit by the setting sun, so it will be hot in midsummer. Therefore, I went to Y Electronics, which is having a sale, to buy an air conditioner for her spacious room with high ceilings. The installation is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. Next week, we had dinner at a food stall for the first time in six months. The ramen here is only 650 yen and my daughter, who loves ramen, found it delicious and affordable. She even said she wants to come here once a week. After eating ramen, we also bought some side dishes for 200 yen, which were also cheap. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I remembered reading an article in a magazine about a delicious ramen stall near Takao Station, so I decided to go check it out. It was mentioned that they only open at night, so I went after an event. When I arrived, the place was full, but after a short wait, I managed to get a table. I ordered the Chashu Ramen for 850 yen, which looked really appetizing when I saw someone else eating it. The ramen had a Chinese noodle soup vibe, with large slices of chashu that looked delicious. The soup had a blend of animal and bonito flavors, creating a subtle umami taste. It was said to be additive-free and no artificial seasonings were used. The noodles were thin and straight, cooked al dente and paired well with the soup. The toppings included chashu, menma, greens, and seaweed. The chashu was thick and satisfying to bite into, while the menma was moist and flavorful. The highlight was the finely chopped and grated onions on top of the ramen, providing a refreshing and crunchy texture. Even after finishing my meal, the line was still long, but I understood why. Although it's not an area I can easily visit again, I would love to come back. Thank you for the delicious meal.

After fishing and enjoying a feast of horse mackerel at a friend's restaurant, we planned to come here next. My daughter wasn't too keen on driving, but we managed to convince her. There was no parking lot here, so we had to park at a nearby coin parking, which was a bit expensive. When we first passed by, there was no line, but when we arrived, there was one person waiting. After about a 10-minute wait, we got seated. My daughter initially said she only wanted a few bites, but in situations like this, she usually ends up eating a whole bowl of ramen. There was a small charcoal grill under the table, which surprisingly kept us warm. Soon, our ramen arrived. It was Hachioji ramen, and my daughter seemed to really enjoy it. The combination of the famous Hachioji ramen, the winter chill, and the street food vibe added to the experience. I think the ramen was delicious, and I would definitely want to visit again if we pass by in the future.
