Today's sweet treat at Delimmo Mejirodai branch is the Sunset Peach parfait. I visited around 11:30 on a Sunday and was able to get in without waiting. The yellow peach is delicious. The white chocolate whip complements the sweetness, so the acidity is not too overpowering. The sweet aroma, soft texture, and balanced acidity make it delightful. Personally, I found the blood orange a bit strong, so I tackled that first. The chocolate sauce paired with meringue, blancmange, and the final crumble is a nice combination. It could help hide the astringency of the raisins. The parfait includes fresh yellow peach, frozen lychee, white chocolate whip, edible flowers, lychee gelato, blood orange gelato, hazelnut meringue, yellow peach compote, raisins, Sauternes jelly, vanilla blancmange, coconut crumble, and blood orange sauce. The paired drink was the Sunset Mocktail, visually appealing with layers, but the sweetness accumulated at the bottom. Perhaps that's just how it is without a stirrer. The appetizer was mascarpone ice cream, simply delicious. It might be my favorite on the Mejirodai menu so far, even more than recent offerings at the Hibiya branch. The staff were lovely young ladies this time. When I inquired about the famous poem, it turns out it was created by Kaz. Ah, I see now... The exclusive menu at the Mejirodai branch was devised by the manager. #SweetTooth #Dessert #Sweets #SweetTreats #TokyoFoodie #TokyoSweets #MejirodaiSweets #Cafe #CafeHopping #TokyoCafe #MejirodaiCafe #Parfait #ParfaitLover #ParfaitEnthusiast #ClosingParfait #Peach #YellowPeach #PeachLover #PeachSweets
