Monte Rosa? I'm not sure, but it seems to be part of the same chain as Shirakiya. If you're on a budget, this place is a good option! Fishman is a good choice too! Although not all items are 300 yen, most are around that price, including the fish dishes which are quite affordable. My favorite is definitely the grilled mackerel! It's thick and oily, really delicious! They also have a variety of menu options, including skewers which are popular at izakayas nowadays.

Hmm... I can't decide where to go for drinks today. I wandered around but couldn't make up my mind. When in doubt, chain izakayas like Uotami in Komae are helpful. As I entered, on the right side were teppanyaki/grilled meat stations, while on the left was the izakaya section, a unique layout. I remembered eating grilled meat on the right side before, but today I chose the left side. I took off my shoes and proceeded to the back. It was still early, so the place was empty, giving a calm and cozy atmosphere. I immediately ordered using the touch panel, starting with a bottle of beer for a toast. Looking at the touch panel, I noticed the light-colored menu items, indicating sold out or discontinued items, a convenient feature. Oh, they have Ice Lemon (sugar-free) here! So I ordered that too. I also tried the Ukrainian-style Dorniki, which was interesting. It was delicious but a bit difficult to eat. I think it would be easier to eat if paired with something like a hamburger on top of the thin fried potatoes. Other dishes like the fried oysters were delicious, the harami steak was okay when hot but got tough when cold, and the extra-large seared mackerel was a bit too fatty for my taste. Overall, it's a good place with a variety of dishes, semi-private seating, and decent value for money, but there are some drawbacks as well. Bon appétit!

Well, the service is slow here. The staff are not bad, but they seem to be understaffed. Waiting for food is a hassle, especially during busy times. Also, the pictures on the menu don't always match the actual dishes. The quantity of the fried chicken, for example, can be different. The taste is average, typical of a chain restaurant. The fried chicken has a crispy coating and is a bit tough, but the seasoning is not bad. The beef tripe in the hot pot was quite fatty. The deep-fried cartilage was a bit too breaded.

In the end, chain restaurants are reliable. I made a reservation and visited. I requested a private room, but it was more like a semi-private room. I could see a little bit of the private room behind, so it wasn't completely private. The stingray fin was quite tender. The chicken cartilage had a good crunchy texture. The spring rolls with cheese inside were delicious as always. The yakitori had a good flavor, but it felt like the typical taste you would expect from a chain restaurant. The sashimi was similar. The frozen lemon slices were a nice touch for an Instagram-worthy presentation. The castella cake dessert we had at the end was surprisingly tasty.

I wanted to drink late into the night near Komae Station, and after searching, it seemed like this was the only place open. I was thrilled to find out they were open until 3 am! The mackerel was delicious! I probably spent more than I intended because I ordered too many drinks for myself. The alcohol was good quality and didn't give me any shoulder stiffness (I tend to get stiff shoulders from bad alcohol). After leaving Uotami at 3 am, I found a nearby karaoke place that was open and continued the night without any problems.笑

All-you-can-eat takoyaki for 680 yen! It's the best deal ever. Totally satisfied! 😆👍

I usually enter around 6 o'clock, so I was able to enjoy it leisurely because it was not crowded. The food is reliably delicious like a chain restaurant, neither good nor bad. It's strange that there are chicken thigh skewers and scallion skewers separately, but no scallions. The veteran staff at the entrance is very considerate and polite, but there were many new staff members, so it was a bit chaotic.

A chain izakaya near Komae Station. It's open until 3 am on weekdays, so it's a good place to go if you miss the last train. This time, it's our third stop so we're just looking for a light snack and drinks. The crispy fried Shinshu soba is 322 yen including tax. It's thinly sliced soba fried crispy in oil. It has just the right amount of saltiness, and it's surprisingly addictive, but it might not be the best choice for a drinking snack. The tamagoyaki is average, with a balance of sweetness and saltiness.

This is a chain izakaya restaurant located in a narrow alley near Komae Station on the Odakyu Line. I really wanted to drink, so I just entered this chain izakaya near Komae Station with two other people. This Uotami is connected to the neighboring "Komae Horumon" restaurant. Uotami seems to be more popular though. I didn't have high expectations because it's a low-priced chain izakaya, but there were some decent dishes and the taste wasn't bad either. However, when I thought it would cost around 7,000-8,000 yen for three people, the bill ended up exceeding 11,000 yen. I drank too much... Of course, I paid more than others for the bill, but ordering too many drinks can make it more expensive. Do you think it's obvious? Well, I tend to order more alcohol when I think it's a cheap place... Drinkers tend to do that. The menu includes unique sours like those made with fruits from Kumamoto, which suffered greatly in the earthquake. It makes you want to support them, right? So you feel like ordering them. Well, be careful not to drink too much! This restaurant also offers set meals, so you can even order a tonkatsu set meal after drinking. I'm not sure if you can just order the tonkatsu set meal and settle the bill at an izakaya, but it's a place that can be effectively used depending on how you use it.

A chain izakaya located a little away from the south exit of Komae Station. It is in the same building as a hormone shop, but while the hormone shop had no customers, the izakaya was quite busy with customers even on a weekday. According to Tabelog, it has 196 seats, but from the outside, it didn't look that spacious, although the inside was fairly large. As it was autumn, they were having an oyster fair, and I chose grilled oysters and oyster okonomiyaki from the various oyster menu options. The small oysters with shells were surprisingly good quality. The okonomiyaki had about 2 and a half oysters in it, and while the okonomiyaki flavor stood out, it did have the distinct taste of oysters. It was actually a surprisingly good combination. We also ordered a dish with crispy capelin on top of green onions, and the capelin was a nice accent. Highly recommended dish! [Revisited on 2014.12.25] Can't they do something about the messiness of the three small appetizer dishes? (^_^;)

On July 14, 2012, there was a meeting at Ecorma starting at 7 pm, and I was in Komae. Since it was a Saturday and my day off, I couldn't drink until 7 pm, so I decided to kill time by having a drink somewhere. I saw a sign in front of the station that said "Uotami, all-you-can-drink for 1,200 yen." I asked the staff and found out it was for 2 hours. It was a little past 5 pm. With 2 hours, I could kill time until 7 pm. So, I asked for directions and headed to the restaurant. We entered and took off our shoes at the shoebox, then went to a private table. Since it was hot outside, we immediately ordered all-you-can-drink draft beer. The staff mentioned that for all-you-can-drink, each person needed to order 2 items. I ordered edamame and pickled eggplant, while my companion ordered vinegar tripe and potato fries. We could easily order more beer using the touch panel. The display showed "Kirin Ichiban Shibori (draft) medium glass, quantity 2, total 0 yen." It was indeed included in the all-you-can-drink deal. We just nibbled on snacks and drank lots of beer. We had a fun conversation and by around 6:40 pm, although it hadn't been 2 hours yet, we decided to move to the venue. The bill, including cover charge, was a little over 2,000 yen per person. It was my first experience with all-you-can-drink alone, and I thought it was reasonable and a fun way to drink. (*) Currently practicing the "Koda-style health method" which excludes meat, dairy, eggs, and sweets.

I often go there on weekends because it's in my neighborhood. The place is like a semi-private room with mostly sunken kotatsu seats. It's a great place to relax and enjoy food and drinks with family. The dishes are consistently delicious. Personally, I recommend the grilled skewers. However, in some seats, the air conditioning is too strong and it can feel cold.

I am not a big fan of famous chain izakayas. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is lonely and the service is poor. I understand that it's cheap, but if I'm paying the same price, I'd rather go to a different restaurant. I didn't feel any sense of hospitality. Perhaps the system at the Komae branch is not good. If the manager changes, the atmosphere of the restaurant may change too, so it's hard to say. Maybe the manager has already changed. I ordered a beer and drank it, but I wonder if it was really beer... it remains a mystery.

This place in Komae seems to have jumped on the recent trend of fried chicken. With options like fish, hormone, okonomiyaki, and now fried chicken, it's hard to tell what this restaurant specializes in. The staff is still unfriendly as always. They offer a secret special soy sauce and natural salt with premium dashi for 150 yen each. The soy sauce is quite strong in flavor, maybe a bit too intense to eat on its own. The meat is not too tough and the coating is crispy, which is nice. The premium dashi, on the other hand, is light and refreshing. I preferred the taste of the premium dashi over the soy sauce.
