Café hopping in Kyoto. I visited a cafe that caught my eye with its delicious-looking sweets and stylish atmosphere. The café is located between Kyoto Station and Gojo Station. The exterior and interior are both predominantly white, giving off a serene vibe. The first floor is where you can purchase sweets and drinks, then you head up to the second floor. There are no chairs or tables, just a spacious area with steps along the edge where you can sit. I was worried about not being able to relax, but it turned out to be quite cozy. I ordered: - Matcha Latte 650 yen - Iced Cafe Latte 600 yen - Lemon Canele 300 yen The Lemon Canele had a sugar-coated exterior and a moist, soft interior, reminiscent of a financier. It had a refreshing lemon flavor with a pleasant sweetness, making it very delicious. It paired well with the sweet Matcha Latte. Taking a breather with the Canele and drinks was a nice break. The beautiful space made me want to take stylish photos and I was able to relax for a bit. (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)⁠✧⁠*⁠.

Located a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city near Gojo Kawaramachi, it offers a calm atmosphere. I tried the iced matcha latte and canelé. The matcha latte was not too sweet and very easy to drink. It had a creamy texture without being too heavy, which I really enjoyed. The canelé had a sweetness that helped me relax and was simply delicious. Surprisingly, I was the only one there on a weekday, so I had this luxurious space all to myself! Being alone, I moved seats several times to take photos.

This is a shop that serves incredibly delicious vanilla canelés! It was the best canelé I have ever had. You can also get them for takeout. The interior of the shop is stylish with all-white decor. There is a seating area on the second floor that you can use freely. There were many university students and foreigners there.

Columbia 600 yen. The first floor is the ordering area, and the second floor is the café area. The entire room is white, with a white wooden structure in the center surrounded by three concrete steps where you can sit and enjoy your drink. The place was almost full, but the atmosphere inside was calm. The closing time is not 7:00 PM as listed on Tabelog, but 6:00 PM.

I ordered a chai latte and stayed for about 10 minutes. The chai had a strong spice flavor, perfect for the slightly warm spring weather! The cafe latte had a cute heart latte art, perfect for Instagram photos. It's a recommended spot for a relaxing break while exploring the Gojo area.

I heard about this cafe as a recommended place to have lunch nearby, so I decided to come and check it out. The building is square-shaped, with the first floor housing the order counter and their own roastery, and the second floor serving as the cafe space. There are no tables, which was a bit confusing at first for me, but the design of the space is unique. The seating is like a stepped platform with chairs that double as tables. Most people sit on the lower step, but when it gets crowded, some also sit on the upper step. If you don't mind sitting where someone else might have stepped, then the lower step is fine. It's an interesting design concept, but I found myself a bit conscious about where to sit at first. However, as I stayed longer, I got used to it and surprisingly found it quite relaxing. The design seems to be Instagram-worthy, as many people were taking photos inside the cafe. I also took a few photos of the food and the interior, being mindful of not disturbing others. Oh, and the cafe latte I had was delicious, of course. I will definitely visit again.

Wolf Blend for 500 yen. White Soft for 700 yen. The second floor has no seats, so you have to sit on a staircase-like area. It's packed with young people. The deep-roasted Wolf Blend is slightly American and very generous. The Soft Cream comes with a firm, subtly sweet shortbread-like cookie. There's a dense custard pudding at the bottom. Quite filling.

It's located about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station, towards Higashi Honganji Temple. Inside the shop, they have a variety of baked goods like cookies and canelés. I ordered coffee and a canelé, opting for the standard flavor. The seating area is on the second floor, with a different atmosphere from the first floor. It was quiet and serene, almost like being in a tranquil forest. The coffee, made from single-origin beans and roasted in-house using a vintage Probat from the 1960s, was unique in flavor. The canelé was moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Enjoying them in the peaceful setting with lanterns lighting up the room was a truly blissful experience.

A very stylish cafe with a cafe au lait, chocolate canelé, and white theme ☕️ Order on the 1st floor and take it to the 2nd floor yourself ◎ There are no tables, and it was made like a sauna!
