This is a Chinese restaurant facing Skip Street at the north exit of Musashisakai Station. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a building across from the post office. Inside, it has a slightly authentic atmosphere different from typical Chinese restaurants in town. There are 4-seater tables and round tables lined up, with a space at the back for parties as well. Despite the authentic Chinese atmosphere, the lunch prices are around 1,100 yen, which is quite reasonable. The menu includes Cantonese noodles and moyashi soba, but there is no "ramen" listed. Some customers were seen enjoying Shaoxing wine with their lunch. After disinfecting hands, we were seated at a 4-seater table, and my partner ordered ankake yakisoba (1,100 yen) while I ordered the recommended lunch of the day (1,100 yen). The ankake yakisoba arrived in about 7-8 minutes, followed by the recommended lunch. Today's special consisted of spicy fried shrimp and steamed chicken salad, served with soup, rice, and zasai. The ankake yakisoba was said to be tastier than those at local Chinese restaurants. It included various ingredients such as shrimp, squid, pork, bamboo shoots, Chinese cabbage, and wood ear mushrooms. The portion size was a bit on the smaller side. As for my order, it included about 8 shrimp coated in flour and deep-fried, along with vegetables like bell peppers, scallions, enoki mushrooms, paprika, and bamboo shoots. The soy sauce-based flavor had a kick from the spiciness of chili peppers and the numbing sensation of whole peppercorns. The steamed chicken with sesame sauce was enhanced by the presence of pink peppercorns, giving it a refined taste. The soup, with ingredients like Chinese cabbage, had an elegant flavor. While the portion size could be a bit larger, this place is great for when you want a step up from regular Chinese restaurants in town. It might be more suitable for enjoying various dishes with a few people at night while having drinks.
