Located about a 5-minute walk north from Hankyu Karasuma / Subway Shijo Station, along Higashi-Tonin Street, is [Benjamin Steakhouse Kyoto], a steakhouse in a fierce battle area inspired by the American NYC. The facade is sophisticated and has a strong presence. The classic modern and luxurious two-story interior features a New York-style bar and casual restaurant on the first floor. The second floor is a formal steakhouse with several private rooms available for special dining occasions. The design exudes a sense of luxury with different room accessories, furnishings, and bold beams, creating a high-quality and timeless atmosphere. The bar counter leads to a luxurious wine cellar with about 400 types of wine from around the world, allowing guests to enjoy the view while dining. The staircase to the second floor is lined with photos of famous people who have visited the New York [Benjamin Steakhouse], creating a stunning sight. The design captures the essence of the New York flagship store, combining luxury and authentic charm.✨✨✨✨✨ This time, we enjoyed dinner on the second floor. First, we were served freshly baked bread with almonds and walnuts. Both were soft, with a delicious wheat aroma, and paired perfectly with fluffy whipped butter. The Benjamin Salad, named after the restaurant, featured plenty of crab meat with baby greens, endive, red onions, and apples, all dressed in a refreshing vinaigrette. The USDA-certified Prime Beef aged for over 28 days is cooked using the same oven as the New York store, a high-temperature deck broiler. The massive T-bone steak, cooked on a large plate, allows you to enjoy both the sirloin and filet at once. The meat is seasoned only with salt to bring out its natural flavor, and cooked at high heat to retain its hot temperature. We chose rare doneness for our steak, and it was served sizzling on the plate, with a rich butter sauce mixing with the meat juices for a gourmet taste. The T-bone steak, weighing about 300g per serving, was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, bursting with the meat's umami flavor with each bite. While delicious on its own with just salt and pepper, we recommend trying the special Old Fashioned Steak Sauce with hints of vegetables and fruits. The side dishes of mashed potatoes and creamless creamed spinach, made with spinach for a slightly chewy texture and a smooth mouthfeel, paired excellently with the steak. The staff served the salad and steak on individual plates, and the high-quality steak, along with the warm hospitality reminiscent of a family member, truly made us feel special. The New York Cheesecake had a smooth texture, rich sweetness, and satisfying heaviness, without being too overwhelming, making it a delightful treat even after enjoying the steak. The red tea served was from the famous tea brand "Mighty Leaf," born in San Francisco, and was generously served in a pot, perfect for pairing with desserts.✨✨✨✨✨ A rare space where you can enjoy aged meat steaks from the authentic source without going to NYC. The unpretentious yet attentive and warm hospitality, along with the high-quality atmosphere, creates the perfect setting to enjoy the top-notch and wild steak.

I used the lunch course and had the T-bone steak as my main dish. With the discount from the food review site, it cost around 6000 yen. It was delicious, satisfying, and had a generous portion. The lunch here doesn't seem to use aged meat, but it was still good enough. In my experience, I can compare it to Wolfgang's dinner, but it's hard to compare prices and cuts directly. However, I was still satisfied with the meal here.

Located on the west side of Daimaru, this restaurant specializes in aged beef. This time, I had the Benjamin Salad, Crab Cake, Lobster Bisque, Black Wagyu Tartar Steak, and Caviar T-Bone Steak. The Crab Cake was filled with plenty of crab and had a crispy texture from being lightly fried, making it delicious. I squeezed some lemon over it. The Lobster Bisque had a slight sweetness and was rich in flavor. The T-Bone Steak was served with sirloin and fillet, and we were instructed to dip each piece in hot butter before eating. I had it rare this time, and I was able to enjoy the unique aroma and texture of the aged beef. The restaurant has a luxurious and elegant atmosphere, allowing for a luxurious dining experience.

I visited this place on a regular night, wanting to satisfy my craving for a hearty meat dish. The restaurant has a casual grill on the first floor and a high-end steakhouse on the second floor. Since the steakhouse offers steaks priced at over 20,000 yen for two people, I opted for the first floor. The sirloin steak I had was meaty and had a satisfying chew to it. The bolognese pasta was also flavorful with a good amount of pepper, but still meaty. Personally, I really enjoyed the side of French fries, which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I would love to try the high-end steakhouse on a special occasion in the future.

#benjaminsteakhousekyoto #BenjaminSteakhouseCelebrating my birthday one year later, it was great just to be in a nice meaty space together. The Porterhouse for two was huge, and we were able to take the leftovers home unexpectedly... #DoggyBag #Takeout We also had the spinach, and the bisque was delicious. The sirloin was so tender that it was hard to tell apart from the filet. Premium beef, aged meat, the good aroma was indeed delightful. #Kyoto #KyotoGourmet #KyotoSteak2023/8/17/17:48

I went to a restaurant where you can enjoy both sirloin and filet at the same time! Located about a 5-minute walk north from Hankyu Karasuma / Subway Shijo Station, along Higashinotoindori Street, Benjamin Steak House Kyoto is a renowned steakhouse from America's NYC, with a sophisticated and imposing facade. Inside, there were photos of famous people who have visited the Benjamin Steak House in NY lined up. This time, we had the luxurious dinner course ¥30,700 + tax (for 2 people). - Welcome drink: Palmer Brut Reserve ¥2,200 - Benjamin Salad: A refreshing salad with plenty of crab meat, baby leaf vegetables, and apple. - T-Bone Steak for two (Porterhouse): A thick-cut aged USDA Prime beef with plenty of flavor, both filet and sirloin, a very satisfying and luxurious steak. - Creamless Creamed Spinach + Mashed Potatoes: I loved this so much that I had seconds. - New York Cheesecake: Rich and delicious, a perfect dessert even after the meat. - Coffee or Tea: I chose Darjeeling and my daughter chose Earl Grey. We had a cozy and elegant time. There is another entrance besides the front entrance, and you can enter directly into a private room. VIPs also use it, but it is available for general reservations as well. The private room is an additional ¥5,000. The staff's service was truly fantastic, providing a high-quality experience. If you want to enjoy delicious aged meat, I highly recommend this restaurant!

I used it on my anniversary. First of all, the service is excellent. We used it with children, and everything from the seating arrangement to the attentive service was perfect. The roast beef sandwich had a satisfying taste, and the meat was tender and juicy. The salad had a great balance of rich cheese and refreshing sauce. All of this was provided for about 2000 yen, and the high-class interior of the restaurant and hospitality were equivalent to a hotel restaurant.

I made a reservation online. The salad that comes before the meat at this steakhouse has a great atmosphere. The main meat dish is large and satisfying, and delicious. I regret not being able to drink wine that day because I had plans to drive. The meat definitely pairs well with wine. The location is very convenient, and the restaurant is spacious. The interior decoration is stylish. I think this restaurant is suitable for celebrations or dates.

Enjoyed roast beef for lunch at the first-floor dining area. The romaine lettuce and cheese salad added a great value to the lunchtime experience. The soup was a light vegetable one with tender grilled bamboo shoots, unexpectedly delicious. The roast beef was served warm, very tender, and the sauce was light, making it a great dish. It wasn't crowded, and the spacious seating made it perfect for a lunch meeting.

Benjamin Steakhouse is a reliable steakhouse where I have visited many times, and the deliciousness is always guaranteed. On this day, I ordered steak, Benjamin soup, bacon Caesar salad, fried potatoes, and red wine. Everything was delicious. I even had a chocolate parfait after the meal and was completely satisfied.

High-end steak restaurant in Manhattan, New York. Their specialty is the aged "dry aging beef". The only Benjamin in Kansai is located in Kyoto. On a Friday at 7 pm, three of us made a reservation online for a rare luxurious dinner after work. It is located on the 2nd floor of the building. The decision was made to have "meat in Kyoto", but I actually wanted to go to the prestigious yakiniku restaurant "Tandan". However, I lost in a majority vote. [Ordered Items] - Benjamin Salad (small size) 1,760 yen - T-bone steak for 3 people 38,500 yen - Mashed potatoes 1,430 yen - Creamed spinach 1,650 yen - Seasonal Kyoto vegetables 1,760 yen - Raspberry champagne x2 1,980 yen each - Celebre non-alcoholic sparkling 1,540 yen - Pecan nut pie (half) 660 yen - Chocolate fudge sundae 1,320 yen - Coffee 880 yen - Chamomile tea x2 1,100 yen each + 10% service charge They offer courses starting from 15,400 yen in the evening, but this time we ordered individual items. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card, and they also accept travel support coupons at the store. First, we were served with sparkling water, salad, and bread, which already filled us up quite a bit. After about 40 minutes, the main steak arrived. Cooked in a 900°C broiler, the outside was crispy and the inside was juicy with a rosy pink center. The seasoning with salt and pepper was just perfect. The T-bone includes both fillet and sirloin. Especially the sirloin made me crave for rice, but they don't serve rice here, including garlic rice. The garlic sautéed Kyoto vegetables, which seem to be exclusive to the Kyoto branch, were deliciously strong! It was Kujo green onion during this visit. The creamy creamed spinach made with broth, flour, and spinach was a nice palate cleanser. Lastly, the dessert. This was what I was looking forward to, and it was very sweet, filling my heart with American pie and sundae. The service was relatively friendly, with detailed explanations of the dishes (portion size and content). They even packed the leftover bread in a bag for us. Satisfied with the price, we left. We spent about 2 hours there, with only about 6 other groups of customers, making it a quiet and pleasant experience. It was also impressive to see solo diners. Thank you for the meal.

It was an elegant restaurant. The service was excellent. The prices are a bit high, but considering the interior and service, it's worth it. It feels like dining at a hotel for lunch. Definitely worth trying out. The flavors are sophisticated at this restaurant!

I used this restaurant for entertaining guests, and it had a picture of Prime Minister Abe displayed. The interior was stylish and luxurious, making it perfect for entertaining. I couldn't take many photos due to the nature of the event, but the all-you-can-drink course menu was great, especially the beer which was delicious! The food was also tasty, and I would definitely want to use this restaurant again for special occasions or entertaining guests.

I want to recommend this restaurant, which is under USA ownership, for hosting important people. Despite being a lover of Kyoto beef, including sukiyaki, yakiniku, and other types of meat cuisine, I chose this place for its theme park-like hospitality reminiscent of Universal or Disney. Everyone can enjoy a moment of special feeling without feeling intimidated, all while savoring prime beef. The accompanying steak fries are also excellent. I worry about the lack of customers, but I hope they continue to thrive!

I used the half private room in room 1F. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and lovely. It was at 7:00 PM but I was able to use it without it being crowded. I had the dice steak and it was amazing in taste and appearance. If I have the chance to go to Kyoto again, I definitely want to use it.

Due to the coronavirus, there were not many people at the restaurant, but it is a place where large groups can gather and have a good time when the economy recovers. The staff were a bit inexperienced due to the pandemic, but they were polite. I look forward to the future. In terms of price, I go for the aged prime rib, so the salad is just greens. All the desserts are sweet.

On this day, we went to Kyoto. There is a steakhouse with its headquarters in New York in Kyoto, so it was a gathering to enjoy aged meat. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 PM. The restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk north from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station and Subway Shijo Station, along Higashinakano-in Street. It seems like a quite large renovated old folk house, with an exterior that resembles a Kyoto townhouse. The interior is divided into the first and second floors, with the first floor having a New York-style bar and a slightly casual restaurant. The second floor is a formal steakhouse with a cross. The first thing that catches your eye when you enter is a very large wine cellar that extends from behind the bar counter to the ceiling (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ It is said to store about 1000 bottles, and I have never seen such a large one before! After seeing this, I couldn't resist having some wine (*≧艸≦) We were guided to a table on the second floor and it took about 20 minutes to place our order with the help of the staff since we were not sure what to choose from the menu. We started with a toast with sparkling wine♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪ The food was more generous than expected, and it was just right for sharing among four people. We paired it with California wines, and they all went really well together and were delicious (*´Д`*) The sirloin part of the T-bone steak was aged, which removed excess moisture and fat, making it not at all heavy and impressively flavorful. It changed my perception of aged meat. Thank you for the meal.<Food>Prices include tax and a separate 10% service charge◎Black Wagyu Tartare Steak with Caviar (13,200 yen)◎Wedge Salad (990 yen)○Veal Short Loin (8,250 yen)○Kyoto Beef Steak (8,580 yen)◎T-Bone Steak for 3 people (32,780 yen)◎Green Asparagus Steam (1,650 yen)○Sautéed Onions (1,210 yen)○Sautéed Mushrooms (1,650 yen)○New York Cheesecake (around 1,650 yen)○Key Lime Pie (around 1,650 yen)<Drinks>Prices include tax and a separate 10% service charge○Sparkling Wine (1,650 yen)◎White Wine (1,870 yen)◎Red Wine ===========

This is a steak restaurant located on Higashinotoindori, one street east of Karasuma-dori in Kyoto's Shijo. The steaks are dry-aged and imported from New York. The menu was a bit confusing, so we asked the staff for recommendations. We ordered a Black Wagyu tartare steak with caviar, a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing, veal short loin, Kyoto beef steak, and a T-bone steak. The T-bone steak was particularly delicious, with a prime grade sirloin and fillet. The side dishes of green asparagus, sautéed onions, and sautéed mushrooms were also tasty. For dessert, we had New York cheesecake and key lime pie. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great with a 3-story wine cellar. I would love to go back for the T-bone steak.

Benjamin, who I was curious about, visited with my family. We ordered a lot of dishes a la carte and laughed a lot. When you want to enjoy hearty meat like in America, I recommend the shrimp cocktail! Potatoes, onions, broccoli, everything comes out in abundance. It's best to go with someone who eats a lot.

I invited four musicians and music industry professionals who I am grateful to, to a private room for a mini party. I reserved the "Benjamin Steakhouse Course" for 17,000 yen. A few days before, I called to confirm and found out that the meat quantity was a bit low at 200g per person, so I added an extra T-bone steak (for 2 people). This would increase the meat to about 300g per person when shared among 5 people, which seemed satisfactory. Since it was a private room, I asked if we could use chopsticks from the beginning, and they kindly agreed. As the meal started, everyone relaxed and enjoyed using chopsticks. The seafood platter included half a lobster, succulent shrimp, fresh oysters, and scallops. Everything was fresh and delicious. Two young women struggled a bit with the lobster as it was their first time trying it. Personally, I usually dislike raw foods, but the oysters and scallops were surprisingly tasty without any fishy taste. The main dish was US Prime Grade beef aged for 28 days, a top-grade American beef. The T-bone steaks were cut into two-bite sizes, arranged on a plate with the bones, and served oval-shaped, American-style. Two plates were served for the 5 of us, making it quite impressive. Unfortunately, one person accidentally burned their finger while trying to take a photo of the dish. I should have warned them, but I got distracted by the meat and forgot. The person who got burned was a professional musician, so their fingers are crucial. Thankfully, it wasn't a severe burn, and they graciously continued to eat while gently cooling their finger with ice water. The beef was delicious, with the sirloin side having a slight chewiness and the filet side being juicy and tasty. Despite the satisfying meal, some leftovers remained, which we took home in doggy bags. The restaurant provided plastic containers and paper bags for the leftovers. With beer and wine, the final bill came to 25,000 yen per person. That's about it. Thank you for the feast.
