Good evening. This is beauty acupuncturist Kozue. The other day, when I went to Kyoto, I found a rice ball specialty shop. This time, I visited Norimusubi Kyoto Teramachi store. It seems to be a rice ball shop operated by Omoriya, a seaweed shop, and they seem to be particular about seaweed. The menu is as follows: Salt rice ball, Tuna mayonnaise, Kombu okaka, Kishu Nanko Ume, Hakata mentaiko, Red salmon, Ikura, Grilled mackerel, Chicken teriyaki, Cheese cutlet curry set with plenty of ingredients, Miso soup, and side dish set A (Kyoto-style rolled omelette and two side dishes), side dish set B (Kyoto-style rolled omelette, fried chicken, croquette, and two side dishes). This time, I ordered the Kombu and side dish set A, and the Salt rice ball and Bofu pickles ochazuke set. By the way, when you order a rice ball, you can choose from three types of seaweed. Tsuki (Yumigahama-produced roasted seaweed), Setouchi (Setouchi-produced roasted seaweed), Shio (Yumigahama-produced seasoned seaweed). The rice balls are quite small. The Kombu one is full of ingredients. There is less rice and more Kombu, so it tastes delicious, but even when eaten with seaweed, the seaweed flavor is overpowered by the Kombu seasoning, which feels a bit of a waste. The rolled omelette is slightly sweet and well cooked. The side dishes also serve as rice accompaniments, so I wish there was more rice. The Salt rice ball is simply salty, so I think it goes well with seaweed. We also enjoyed it as ochazuke by putting it in a bowl with arare and condiments, pouring dashi over it. The taste is very delicious. Thank you for the meal.
