Tokyo Station!! This time, for the second installment of my Shinkansen day trip, I arrived in "Tokyo" with a schedule as tight as a businessman, just an hour and a half from Sendai. The capital of flowers, Tokyo! First things first, feeling a bit peckish, I decided to try the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at "Denkosekka" in Tokyo Station. As a fan of Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, I didn't hesitate to choose this place as my first stop! With over 10 locations nationwide, it's a popular spot. Conveniently located inside the station and open from 10 am, which is great! I bought my ticket from the machine and entered the restaurant... Unfortunately, I didn't get a seat at the counter where you can watch the teppanyaki show, a bit disappointing. - Aroma Ale (draft beer) 590 yen - Denkosekka (most popular dish) 1270 yen (with pork, double egg, noodles, squid tempura, shiso, and green onions) First, a toast with a refreshing draft beer. Ah, I've been wanting to have a beer like this! After about 15 minutes, the most popular dish, "Denkosekka," arrived... Its unique dome shape is also known as the "Mokkori hyoutan island style." The theme of Denkosekka's okonomiyaki is "softness." That's why they don't press down on the cabbage and create this dome shape. With the double egg covering the entire dish, it looks great! When you split it in half, it's soft and delicious. The noodles are slightly thick and chewy, the vegetables are perfectly tender, and the flavor of shiso and plenty of green onions add a nice touch. Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is the best! The "Otafuku sauce" from Hiroshima that locals love is a must-have at home, it's an essential part of the dish. I wish I could have ordered an extra serving like with tonkotsu ramen. Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki in Tokyo Station, what a treat! Thank you for the meal! [Food Review] - Tabelog rating: 3.49 - Tanuki rating (lunch): - Overall: 40 points - Atmosphere: 7 points - Food: 8 points - Menu variety: 9 points - Value for money: 8 points - Likelihood to revisit: 8 points

It wasn't a quick process with the image of lightning speed. Waited in line for 30 minutes. Waited at the table for another 30 minutes. Finally, the okonomiyaki arrived. Perhaps they have a particular attachment to the dome shape that other Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki restaurants don't have? Inside, there is rolled-up noodles prepared. The noodles tasted bland, like they were just steamed. Maybe they made an effort to allow customers to adjust the intensity of the flavor with the Otafuku sauce? The layers of egg, cabbage, and ingredients on top seemed separate, lacking a sense of unity as a dish.

I enjoyed sightseeing and gourmet food in the Kansai region, then took an early morning flight from Itami Airport to Haneda Airport. I thought about going to Tsukiji for an early lunch, but I was tired from walking around in Kansai, so I searched for a place at Tokyo Station and decided to visit a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki restaurant that I hadn't been to in a while. I bought a meal ticket and waited to be called by the staff to enter the restaurant. I ordered the "Yume" okonomiyaki with plenty of green onions and egg. When asked if I wanted soba or udon, I chose soba. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, the okonomiyaki arrived. It looked amazing, and I topped it generously with Otafuku sauce. It had a good amount of squid in it, which was a plus. The only downsides were that there was only one chef (apparently short-staffed), so the service was a bit slow, and the restaurant was a bit hot. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Being located inside Tokyo Station, it's no surprise that there was a long line. I was amazed by the size of the dishes being served to other customers. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I could finish it all. I had plenty of cheese and two glasses of ginger soda. It was amazing. There were also plenty of vegetables, so I was able to eat more than I expected. I even sneaked in some shichimi spice...lol.

Today, for some reason, I felt like eating Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, so I visited this place. Last time I had yakisoba, so this time I went for udon. Udon is quite rare to find in Tokyo, so it's a treat. Personally, I think I still prefer yakisoba. The restaurant is fairly busy, but it has a decent capacity so the wait isn't too bad. There were two salarymen drinking next to me, and a woman drinking on the other side. Everyone seems to be enjoying their drinks. The food here never disappoints, it's consistently delicious.

Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki in the basement of Tokyo Station! I bought a meal ticket, entered the shop, and was asked if I wanted soba or udon. I chose to have plenty of mayonnaise, and it was really loaded with mayo, haha. As expected, the Otafuku sauce was delicious. I always used to struggle with what to eat at Tokyo Station, but from now on, this place is the only choice! Haha

It tastes good, but I feel like something is missing.---------Points to Note: To ensure that people reading the review do not make mistakes in judgment, I try to write down my thoughts as honestly as possible. I will provide additional information such as whether it is Instagrammable or the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the rating is mainly based on whether the food is delicious or not, and whether it is worth the price.---------

Today's lunch plan was to go to Nihonbashi, but it started drizzling, so I ended up going to a place connected underground. Since it was my first time on this side, being directionally challenged, I was surprised to find out that these two places were connected. The restaurant "Denkosekka" is close if you go straight, but I ended up going in circles before finally finding it. It's a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki restaurant that is also a big fan of Hiroshima, using ingredients from there, even sourcing their fresh noodles from Hiroshima-based Iso Men. The okonomiyaki is dome-shaped and looks great with toppings like green onions and eggs. I ordered the cheapest option, the "Nikutama" for 1070 yen, which is surprisingly affordable for okonomiyaki in Tokyo. The other options are mostly over 1500 yen, which is a bit pricey, but understandable given the location at Tokyo Station. I enjoyed the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with cabbage, thin batter, eggs, and more. You can choose soba or udon as a side dish. I bought a meal ticket first and sat at the counter, which was a bit hot during this season. Overall, I prefer Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki over Osaka-style. #Okonomiyaki #Hiroshima #TokyoStationGourmet #YaesuGourmet #YaesuOLunch Denkosekka Tokyo Station 050-5457-5818 Marunouchi 1-9-1, Tokyo Station Ichibangai B1F.

This is a conveniently located okonomiyaki restaurant in Tokyo Station. It was bustling with people until early afternoon. As soon as I entered, the food came out quickly and I was able to eat right away. The portion size is generous and fills you up. I wish there were more topping options to choose from.

The appearance is great! There are fried snacks with pork and squid inside. Bonito flakes are not used. It includes green onions, eggs, udon noodles, cabbage, shiso, pork, fried squid, and otafuku sauce. It tastes good, but for the price of 1590 yen, the udon lacks flavor and stands out for its monotony.

It had been a while since I enjoyed Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. Surprisingly, despite waiting outside, we were seated in about 10 minutes and our order arrived in another 10 minutes. My wife and I used coupons from Tabelog, and one of us ordered one with a fried egg on top, while the other ordered one with plenty of mayonnaise and cheese on top. The one with the fried egg had a nice touch of shiso and was surprisingly refreshing. The one with plenty of mayonnaise and cheese was rich and delicious, and we enjoyed it while adding extra sauce. I would like to revisit when I feel like having Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki again.

I visited around 4:30 on Saturday and the place was empty! Sitting at the counter in front of the teppan grill, they serve the dishes on the hot plate, so it stays hot and gives a great sense of excitement. I chose the udon with mentaiko mayo, and it tasted just like the street food I was looking for. I prefer the mentaiko over the teppanyaki, which is also the name of the restaurant! However, the air conditioning in the restaurant was not very effective, and the service for drinks was quite slow, which was a bit disappointing. I wanted to eat the hot dish while it was still hot.

One day, my son and I arrived at Tokyo Station in the evening after a trip. We decided to have dinner at a restaurant that seemed quite popular, but we were able to get in without waiting, probably because it was early (after 5 pm). This restaurant operates by purchasing meal tickets from a machine at the entrance. I find it a bit challenging because I like to take my time choosing my meal, but it's difficult to do so here. I also struggle with estimating portion sizes and end up feeling unsure about whether I can finish my meal. Unfortunately, this time was no different, and I found myself conflicted during the meal. The first photo is of a meatball dish (1,070 yen), and the second photo is of a dish called "Be Kind to Others" (1,890 yen). Unless you have a big appetite, one dish might be too much for one person.

I felt like eating Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki for the first time in a while, so I visited this restaurant. This place can get crowded during peak hours, but if you go a little earlier, you can get in smoothly. The okonomiyaki cooked on the hot plate in the restaurant is delicious and piping hot! Today, I treated myself to a luxurious topping. It's delicious, but nothing beats the excitement of eating it in Hiroshima, where it's from. Both the taste and the price are best in the local area.

I have only ever eaten Osaka-style okonomiyaki before, where we all have fun cooking it ourselves and it's okay even if it doesn't turn out perfectly. It's delicious and filling. But when I tried the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, I was amazed by its complexity!

Well!! I decided to quickly prepare and head to Tokyo Station to catch the Shinkansen before my vacation starts. I feel like having a drink and something to eat. Tokyo Station is a gourmet town with many restaurants and of course, it's crowded with people and many popular shops have long lines. But being alone has its advantages, I was able to get in without much of a wait! Lucky me! I had okonomiyaki and beer when I visited before, so today I'm thinking of going for the classic option. This is THE Denkosekka! Enjoy the tenderness! It comes with meat, double eggs, soba or udon, squid tempura, large leaves, and green onions. The name of the dish is correct, right? Denkosekka (1,590 yen) and a draft beer (690 yen) were ordered. The beer was served quickly! First, I took a sip of the Premium Malt's beer. It's refreshing and delicious. Now, the main event, the okonomiyaki! I cut it with a spatula, poured on the sauce, and decided to eat with chopsticks this time. It's delicious! I added more sauce a few times while eating. The not too strong flavor of the yakisoba is nice. Should I add more beer or stop here? I finished eating, feeling satisfied. Since it's a ticket system, I wasn't sure how to order more or get some snacks. Anyway, my stomach is full now! Time to buy some alcohol and catch the Shinkansen. Thank you for the meal!

I happened to have the opportunity to visit Tokyo Station. Normally, I only see this restaurant when there is a long line, but it happened to be empty this time, so I thought it was a chance and quickly went in. I used to travel to Hiroshima for work a lot, and I often had the chance to eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at my destination or at Hiroshima Station. Even though I'm from Kansai, I secretly thought it was delicious. I ordered the one with plenty of cheese. In conclusion, it was delicious. It had ingredients like squid tempura and encompassed the basics of Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. However, I'm not sure if it's at the Michelin level. It's just delicious in a normal way, nothing particularly special. When they say "plenty of cheese," it's not really that much. Of course, there is cheese in it. Also, if they are going to use a ticket machine system, it might be better to simplify the menu names and reduce the number of items. I end up thinking about various things in front of the ticket machine. I would rather take my time to order at the table. Well, maybe only Japanese people think about these things. Also, the service is a bit rough. Perhaps Japan should consider switching to a tipping system.

I wanted to eat okonomiyaki in Marunouchi, but couldn't make it in time, so I visited Denkosekka for the first time in a while. After watching the episode of "Ma-tsuko no Shiranai Sekai" about okonomiyaki, I was happy to be able to eat it. *For those ordering a draft beer, the medium size (690 yen) is a bit small, so I recommend starting with the large size (1,000 yen)! Today's order: - Large + Medium draft beer - Kimchi as a side dish Thank you for the delicious meal!

I was wandering around Tokyo Station looking for something to eat when I came across this restaurant, Denkosekka Tokyo Station branch. I've never tried Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki before, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Denkosekka, which seemed like a standard choice for a first-time visitor. When the dish arrived, it was a big and hearty okonomiyaki with lots of green onions on top. The texture was fluffy, the cabbage was soft, and the noodles were chewy. I chose soba noodles, which paired well with the sweet sauce. Despite initially thinking it was a lot of food, I finished it all easily. It was delicious, and I might try a different topping next time. Thank you for the meal!

Good evening, this is Kameji. I visited the Denkosekka Tokyo Station store in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. This restaurant specializes in Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. It is located on the B1 floor of Tokyo Station's First Avenue. The menu mainly consists of various types of okonomiyaki. This time, I ordered the Denkosekka okonomiyaki, which includes meat, double eggs, soba noodles, tempura squid, shiso leaves, and green onions. I also added a fried egg on top using the Tabelog service. The sauce was quite sweet, almost too much for my liking. The noodles seemed a bit too firm, which was different from what I expected. The taste was not bad overall. I have never tried authentic Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, so I can't really compare. Thank you for the meal.

I finally visited Denkosekka, a delicious okonomiyaki restaurant from Hiroshima that I had been wanting to try at Tokyo Station. I arrived early in the evening, so luckily there was no wait. I ordered their signature dish, Denkosekka, which comes with meat, double eggs, choice of soba or udon, squid tempura, shiso leaves, and green onions. I also showed a coupon from Tabelog for a free topping, so I got a sunny-side-up egg added to my okonomiyaki. I also ordered the meat and kimchi dish, along with a soft drink. The Denkosekka exceeded my expectations and was incredibly delicious! It was light and easy to eat with plenty of green onions and shiso leaves. The meat and kimchi dish was also very tasty, with the spicy kimchi adding a nice kick. Both dishes were satisfying, and I enjoyed trying both soba and udon noodles. Overall, this was the best okonomiyaki I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank you for the delicious meal!
