It's a visit on Saturday afternoon to a stylish cafe located on a narrow road. I had matcha pancakes and dango there. The dango comes in three flavors - aosa, mitarashi, and soy sauce. They were delicious, especially the freshly baked dango with amazing sauces. The matcha pancakes were also tasty, made with rice flour and no butter, yet very light and delicious. All the recipes are made with carefully selected ingredients. The staff were friendly and I left very satisfied.

I visited "MARUFUJI CAFE" in Tennoji-ku, Osaka City, located a 2-3 minute walk east from the north exit of JR Tennoji Station. The cafe has a stylish casual Japanese modern atmosphere, mostly frequented by female customers, but it is also welcoming for solo male customers. I ordered the "Hojicha" (660 yen), which was served in a stylish cup, teapot, and pot. When the first cup was empty, I could refill it by pouring hot water from the pot into the teapot and then into the cup again. The flavor of the hojicha was distinctive with a prominent aroma. It was easy to drink with minimal acidity and bitterness. After about four cups, the tannins started to emerge, shifting the taste from aroma to bitterness, which is the essence of tea. It's rare to experience such a nuanced tea-drinking experience nowadays. The service from the staff was excellent, creating a pleasant tea time. I highly recommend this place to everyone! I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited the store around 6 p.m. on a regular day. There were no customers at first, but after about 15 minutes, people started trickling in, all of them young. I felt a somewhat gloomy atmosphere in the store. I ordered matcha pancakes. I wanted to order coffee as well, but I decided against it because I have trouble sleeping if I drink coffee at night. The pancakes came with matcha sauce, red bean paste, matcha ice cream, and whipped cream. The small pancakes were thin and had a chewy texture, with an elegant and delicious taste. The only downside was that the pancakes were arranged in a way that made the matcha sauce flow off the plate, as the plate was flat with no depth. It was a bit of a mess. I hope to visit again during a less crowded time. On a side note, the restroom had a large and deep washbasin that dispensed a luxurious amount of foamy hand soap when you held your hands under it, and there was a feature where strong air blew out from the front to dry your hands. It was a highly functional washbasin. Laugh.

When I arrived earlier, I gave up because of the long line at this place, but this time there was about 40% of customers at around 12:45. I sat at a table near the entrance, ordered a drink set, and chose dango with mitarashi, yakitori with soy sauce, and takoyaki. I selected the sweetest green tea, Kakegawa tea. Everything arrived in about 13 minutes. The yakitori was so-so, the first cup of tea was okay, the second cup was a bit rushed but still decently strong. The mitarashi dango was not great, and the takoyaki was just average with takoyaki sauce. I had about 5 cups of tea, but it didn't taste sweet at all. The concept of traditional Japanese menu was good, but the taste was lacking. The atmosphere was ordinary and didn't evoke a sense of Japanese style. I paid 930 yen with a card and will now head south to the main restaurant I originally planned to visit.

On a rainy Sunday around 4 pm, I visited the restaurant and found it less crowded than when I passed by earlier. I waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. The seats were very comfortable with cushions on each one. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, making me feel like I could stay there forever without any worries. Most of the customers were groups of women or couples. I ordered the "Manmaru Set" on that day. The dumplings were incredibly delicious, with a chewy texture and a satisfying size that brought me immense happiness. I also enjoyed the anmitsu with matcha jelly, salted kelp (which I love), and matcha. The restaurant also offers lunch options, so I will definitely visit again.

I came to this cafe in Tennoji because I wanted to have a little tea to adjust my time. I wanted to try their rice cakes here. The interior of the shop is stylish and calming. I ordered a set of 3 Marufuji rice cakes and a drink for 930 yen. You can choose from various types of rice cakes. They all looked tempting, so it was hard to choose. I picked Mitarashi, Tsukiyaki, and Takoyaki flavors. The drink I chose was Kakegawa tea. It is a tea produced in Kakegawa City in western Shizuoka, known for its vibrant green color and rich flavor. I don't usually drink green tea, but I found it to be very delicious. The temperature was just right, allowing me to savor the taste. Now, the rice cakes looked delicious, and I was excited to try them. However, the texture was not what I expected. I imagined them to be like mochi, but they were more like shiratama? They were not chewy, but crispy, and they stuck to my teeth a lot. The Tsukiyaki flavor was my favorite, but maybe my expectations were too high. The set price of 930 yen felt a bit expensive, but considering the location and the lovely atmosphere, it was understandable. Many customers around me were eating shaved ice, which looked very voluminous. The cafe was crowded, with a waiting list, so it seems to be a popular spot. Overall, it was a nice experience.

I was recommended by an acquaintance and had some business near Tennoji Station, so I decided to stop by. The place is located very close to the platform of Tennoji Station. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very stylish, and it seemed like a popular spot frequented by groups of friends. There was an 80-minute time limit, but since the service was quick, it wasn't a problem. I ordered a set of dumplings, with three flavors: mitarashi, pizza, and takoyaki. I had never tried the pizza and takoyaki flavors before, and they were quite unique. Personally, I found the pizza flavor to be the most delicious, even more than the classic mitarashi flavor.

Matcha is served in a bowl with the powder, and they bring a small flask of hot water for you to make it yourself. I wish they would have made it for me. The rice cakes were chewy and not like regular ones. The seasoning was average. The sweet red bean soup was also average. It's non-smoking, but the smell of cigarettes lingered in the air, which I didn't like. Even though there were empty seats, they still seated me next to someone else, which made me uncomfortable listening to their conversation, so I ended up wearing headphones to block it out. I won't be going back.

I was curious about the dango (Japanese dumplings) and finally got to go to the shop. I arrived on Sunday at 12:30 and there were 3 groups ahead of me, so I was able to sit on a chair inside the shop and wait for about 30 minutes before being seated. After that, it suddenly got crowded and there were customers waiting outside as well. The service was excellent, even though they were busy, I thought it was wonderful. After paying, they even escorted me outside. The dango was delicious, both the sweet and pizza flavors. Here, you have to order a set of 3, so if you want to try just one, it's better to go to the Kyuusumoori branch. The Kakegawa tea and the Nirancha tea in the set were also delicious. I had a pleasant dining experience. Thank you very much.

I visited around 12:30 on a weekday✨ The restaurant was full so I had to wait a little _( ˙꒳˙ _ )チョコン After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was seated‍♂️ I had planned to order the Marufuji dango set, but due to my hunger and the heat, I decided to order the shaved ice set with Uji white balls topping and iced coffee☕️ It was served in about 10 minutes❕ The shaved ice syrup was not too sweet, and I finished it quickly✨ Next time, I want to try the dango set. When I left, there was a line forming, so I recommend considering waiting when visiting.

On June 11, 2023, my third activity was visiting MARUFUJI CAFE near JR Tennoji Station. I walked a few minutes west from the north exit and easily entered the cafe. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Since I had walked a lot that day, I decided to have a hojicha kakigori with shiratama and sweet potatoes. The staff recommended having it without milk because the hojicha syrup was already sweet. I also considered getting some dango, but it seemed like you had to order at least three, so I passed this time. The kakigori was fluffy and melted smoothly in my mouth, with the hojicha syrup evenly coating every bite, making it quite sweet. I enjoyed the combination of shiratama and anko in between. If I have the chance, I might try it with less syrup next time. The attentive service and being escorted outside were also nice touches. Thank you for the meal! This is a cozy Japanese cafe located conveniently near the north exit of Tennoji Station. I visited for the first time in a while around 2 pm on a weekday. The place was quite busy, with two groups ahead of us waiting for seats. Although there were about three empty tables inside, we were not seated promptly. It seemed like the kitchen and waitstaff were understaffed. We could see dishes piling up in the sink. After my friend got a bit impatient and spoke up, we were finally seated. The food was decent and reasonably priced. I just wish the atmosphere allowed for a more relaxed experience. Sorry for being a bit critical this time!

I had a great time passing the time until meeting up with my friend at this shop. They offer a variety of flavors for their dumplings, which was fun! This time, I chose soy sauce, black honey kinako, and red bean flavors. I also chose Kagoshima tea to go with it. The tea came in a pot with hot water, so I could enjoy several cups. It was just right for passing the time.

I arrived at the restaurant around 13:00 and had to wait for about 2-3 minutes before being seated, but I was quickly shown to a table in the back. I ordered 3 Marufuji dango with a drink set, which came to a total of 970 yen including tax. I chose mitarashi, azuki bean, black honey, and kinako toppings. The tea served was a balanced blend of sweetness and bitterness known as Chiran tea. The dango was surprisingly filling and after eating all three, I was satisfied. The order came out quickly, making it a perfect spot for a quick break when feeling a bit tired.

It's a café located next to the ramen restaurant Wa-nin from my previous post. You can relax and chat with friends here. I tried the Yame tea and it was really delicious. For the tea set, you can choose from Yame, Chiran, or Kakegawa. It can get crowded depending on the time, but I think it's worth a visit! Definitely recommend ♡

At my sister's request, we stopped by this place on the way back from the antiques market at Shitenno-ji Temple. It's tucked away in a back alley, giving off an unexpected vibe. The interior is stylish and has plenty of seating. I tried the matcha pancake made with rice flour and soy milk, giving it a chewy and fluffy texture. The bitterness of the matcha was just right. It also came with red bean paste, matcha ice cream, whipped cream, and matcha syrup for flavor variations. While it was delicious, it was nothing out of the ordinary. Perhaps a little more uniqueness or a special touch would make it stand out. It felt like a trendy Japanese sweets shop catering to tourists in Kyoto. Sorry for being critical.

I love O-Dango-san. If you turn right at the north exit of JR Tennoji Station, it's just a short walk away. Honestly, it's not easy to find because it's not on the main street, but once you go inside, you'll find a spacious and relaxing space with plenty of seats. The O-Dango set allows you to choose from various types of dango and tea. The fondue set comes with a choice of vanilla ice cream or hot milk for dessert. It's conveniently located near the station, so you can easily stop by during your free time. Be sure to come visit! 🍵

The stylish interior of the shop decorated with wisteria flowers and cute dumpling sets made it hard to decide which one to choose, but I ended up getting the assorted round set. The matcha tea was served in a pot with hot water for you to make it yourself, which was fun. The cream anmitsu was cute with a delicious mochi texture, and the dumplings came in mitarashi, black honey kinako, and occasionally with a salted kelp filling for a refreshing touch. I was soothed by the delicious sweets and the pleasant aroma of the matcha tea.

I had delicious curry and I'm full(^^) Satisfied~ But, I decided to have some sweets as well lol Tennoji is so lively! There's even Abeno Harukas! I found a nice Japanese-style cafe near Tennoji Station, so I went there(^^) At first, I thought there was a line, but it was actually for the ramen shop next door lol I'm glad I didn't turn back~ The exterior and interior are stylish, right? It has a Kyoto or Kamakura vibe with cushioned chairs, very cozy~ Now, looking at the menu, hmm, should I go for dumplings or pancakes? It's a tough choice. If you come as a couple, you should order both lol What kind of advice is that lol Today, I decided on the "Marufuji Dumplings Set with Drink"! I chose red bean paste, green tea, and sweet soy sauce flavors for the dumplings(^^) Pizza or takoyaki would be too much lol First, they served tea, then the dumplings arrived. Oh, the dumplings are bigger than I expected! Let's dig in! Wow! Delicious! lol Very chewy and tasty. I was a bit careless because it's a trendy cafe, but this is really good. The sweet soy sauce flavor is not too sweet, the green tea is authentically bitter. The red bean paste is generous and tasty! I had plenty of tea, three cups, and took a breather. Kobe, Osaka curry and sauna trip is now over! It was delicious, thank you for the meal Ψ( 'ч' ☆) ===========

I arrived before 7:00 PM. I had the Matcha Brulee Parfait for 860 yen. It was topped with rich matcha. The layers of matcha ice cream, granola, matcha jelly, red beans, and milk jelly were delicious. When mixed from the bottom, it had various flavors and was delicious. After paying, as I left the store, the young lady who served me thanked me outside the store. A great store has great staff. It was delicious until the end. Thank you for the meal.

During the Obon holiday period, I wanted something with a smooth texture, so I decided to try the parfaits at this shop. - Brulee Parfait Matcha 860 yen This parfait is packed with matcha red bean paste, rice puffs, matcha ice cream, whipped cream, and more. When it is brought to your table, they use a burner to caramelize the top layer of ice cream. It also comes with white rice dumplings, matcha jelly, and matcha sauce to accompany the parfait. - Brulee Parfait Mango 860 yen This parfait is filled with mango fruit, rice puffs, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and more. Just like the matcha parfait, they use a burner to caramelize the top layer of ice cream. It also comes with mango fruit, jelly, and mango sauce to accompany the parfait. The agar on the plate doesn't have much sweetness, so it's best to mix it into the parfait to enjoy a nice texture and flavor. In addition to parfaits, they also offer shaved ice, rice dumplings, and various drinks, making it a place where you can enjoy different treats depending on the season. All prices include tax. The staff were kind and provided good service. It can get crowded, but they operate on an 80-minute time limit to keep things moving, which was much appreciated.
