It had been quite a while since I last visited. I ordered ramen for 780 yen, egg ramen for 900 yen, and half fried rice for 360 yen. The fried rice was delicious and the ramen had a flavor that would appeal to everyone. It seemed like they had soy sauce, salt, and miso ramen options, but we chose soy sauce.

During work, I visited for lunch based on a recommendation from a colleague. It was my first time there, and I ordered the Chashu ramen with rice and kimchi set. The ramen was delicious, with a flavorful soup and plenty of lean pork slices. The straight noodles mixed well with the soup, making it a very enjoyable meal. I would like to come back again!

Osaka Business Trip Noodle 3/5: Craving for meat in the aspirational Tsuruhashi! Where did I head for? This place full of tradition! But the times have changed? It's international now! Received service from a Chinese student studying abroad! Chose the ramen with half-boiled egg! Soy sauce flavor! A nostalgic taste that must have supported the high economic growth period! Is the soup based on pork bones? Not sure, but they simmer a large amount of pork chashu in the soup (pot), bringing out the deliciousness of the pork meat! This is the perfect way to end a drink! More pork meat in the toppings! The medium-thin straight noodles give a crunchy Osaka-like old-fashioned feel! Fully enjoyed it! Thank you for the meal!

When I got home late and saw a sign for Osaka ramen, I was drawn in. It was around 11 PM and the restaurant was packed. It seemed to be a popular spot, so I decided to order the soy sauce chashu ramen to go. When I took a sip of the soup, it reminded me of the taste of a ramen shop I used to visit often when I was a child. The ramen was delicious and I also appreciated that they provided wet towels.

During my high school days, I used to visit this restaurant. I had some time to spare during a late-night transfer at Tsuruhashi, so I decided to stop by. I noticed that they had added salt and miso flavors to the menu, in addition to soy sauce. Although I didn't have a clear memory of it, the taste felt nostalgic. I'm glad I went.

I went to Niryohan Tsuruhashi Honten. I ordered the Mini Ramen Set (miso). Half-fried rice was served. The fried rice was consistent and stable. When I had eaten about half of it, the mini ramen arrived. It had a good miso flavor with slightly soft noodles. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant called "Niryouban Tsuru Hashimoto" and arrived around noon when it was slightly empty. I ordered a Char Siu Ramen with extra vegetables (green onions and bean sprouts are free) for 960 yen, my son ordered the Half Chan Fried Rice Set with large noodles and extra vegetables for 1,020 yen, and my wife ordered the Half Chan Fried Rice Set with regular noodles and extra vegetables for 930 yen. Don't you think it's quite affordable? After a while, our dishes arrived. There were plenty of green onions and bean sprouts. Even though it's called Char Siu Ramen, there was a good amount of Char Siu in it. The Char Siu was placed underneath the green onions and bean sprouts, covering almost the entire surface of the bowl. The noodles were slightly soft and thin straight noodles. You can adjust the firmness of the noodles, but my family prefers them soft. I think the noodles from Akira (Daiichi Asahi) go well with a softer texture. We quickly finished the green onions and bean sprouts while enjoying the noodles and Char Siu alternately. I ordered the large Char Siu for a snack with alcohol and went back to the car. The taste was consistent as always. When I got home, I immediately enjoyed some beer with the Char Siu in the afternoon. It turned out to be a great Bon holiday.

I ordered a large serving of cold noodles. This has been a summer staple for me for over 35 years, since I was in elementary school. Every summer, I crave the two and a half servings of cold noodles and visit the restaurant 5-6 times. The noodles are very cold, firm, and have a good texture. The sauce has a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, which stimulates the appetite. To be honest, even the large serving is not enough. As I eat my two and a half servings of cold noodles this year, I reminisce about the time when my parents brought me here when I was in elementary school, feeling nostalgic.

Facing the main street, there is a ramen restaurant called "Niryohan" with a yellow sign that stands out. Despite knowing about this place for a long time, this was my first visit. I sat at the end of the counter, as it was quite crowded due to post-COVID circumstances. I ordered the "Half-chan Fried Rice Set, Regular" for 930 yen. The lunch hours are from 11 am to 6 pm, which is convenient. You can choose from soy sauce, miso, or salt ramen. The restaurant's selling point seems to be its simple Showa-style. After a while, the Half-chan fried rice arrived. It was moist and delicious, with just the right amount of flavor. You can keep eating it endlessly. Since it's in Tsuruhashi, it came with kimchi. The ramen was served next, with 5 slices of thin, dry pork slices. This type of pork slices may be a matter of personal preference. It reminded me of the ramen from the past. The soup was a straightforward soy sauce base, without any additional dashi. It had a gentle flavor. The medium-thick straight noodles with simple soy sauce soup truly embody the Showa style. It must be a taste beloved by the locals in Tsuruhashi.

This is my first time visiting this store, but I just had ramen at the Kyobashi store last month. Whether it's the Fuse store or any other store, the taste is always consistent. The ramen set meal is also the usual reliable one! Of course, with extra green onions! The soup is truly addictive. The chashu is a bit firm, with almost no rare parts, but the solid texture is quite popular with those who like it. In the Fuse store, you could choose between kimchi or menma, but here it was kimchi without asking. The noodles are the usual two and a half servings of smooth, medium-thin noodles, slurping them up with the green onions is a great moment. Mixing it with rice is the best. It was delicious again today. Thank you for the meal.
I often visit the Fusse and Tsuruhashi stores. I have a craving for their ramen which is a classic and I end up liking it. I visited in the early afternoon, so I could sit comfortably in the spacious restaurant. Ordering soy sauce ramen and rice cost only 1,000 yen, and I even got change back, which was much appreciated.

A bit late to the party, but I had a bowl of ramen with extra pork slices. Back in the day, prices used to vary depending on the flavor, but now it's all the same. Well, this place is definitely loved by the locals. There are other ramen shops nearby, but this one wins by staying open late. Personally, I think I'll just stick to getting some pork slices to go (lol). Oh, and the fried rice is delicious too. Thanks for the meal!

Today, my partner went to a drinking party, so I decided to go out for a drink alone. I started at my favorite bar for a relaxing time. On the way back, I felt the urge to eat ramen, so I got off at Tsuruhashi. I headed to a place called Niryo Han, which I had been curious about. It took about 7-8 minutes to walk from Tsuruhashi station. I found a shop with a red curtain that said "ramen" on it - it was Niryo Han. I visited on a Saturday around 22:40, and the place was almost full. Despite the late hour, it was bustling. Since I was alone, I was quickly seated at the counter. I ordered a regular ramen right away. The interior had about four tables for four people each and around 10 counter seats. It was almost full. While waiting, I checked the condiments on the table. I found spicy miso among the gyoza sauce and pepper. This seemed like it would go well with both the ramen and the gyoza sauce. In less than 10 minutes after ordering, the ramen arrived. It had four slices of chashu, a small amount of green onions, and some bean sprouts as toppings. It looked simple. The soy sauce aroma whetted my appetite. I started by tasting the soup. It was a soy sauce-based broth with a hint of pork flavor. It wasn't as rich as it looked and had a light taste. It was delicious. The noodles were medium-thin and had a good firmness that paired well with the soy sauce soup. The portion was quite generous and satisfying. My favorite part was the chashu made from thigh meat - there were four slices in a standard ramen bowl. The meatiness was incredibly delicious and irresistible. Overall, the ramen had a well-balanced combination of soy sauce soup, noodles, and chashu. It reminded me of the old-school Chinese soba and was addictive. The shop is open late, making it perfect for a post-drinking meal. I will definitely crave it again. I look forward to coming back when I have the chance to visit Tsuruhashi. Thank you for the delicious ramen.

I joined the company and there is a shop on the way back that specializes in soy sauce ramen. It's always a good deal to go there during lunchtime. They have various set options for lunch ramen, and I always order the best soy sauce ramen in the shop, the "han-chan" set. During lunchtime, the gyoza set is normally 280 yen for ramen and 100 yen for gyoza. With the "han-chan" set, you can request the amount of bean sprouts and green onions in the ramen, so I ask for extra vegetables and enjoy wrapping the few slices of chashu that come with it. The soy sauce ramen soup is incredibly delicious. This shop was featured in a ramen special in a weekly magazine 30 years ago as one of the top 5 ramen shops to try in Osaka. Even back then, it was considered to be on par with the top 3, and the shop was always full whenever I visited.

Niryohan Tsuruhashi Main Store. It's pretty much like Daiichi Asahi. It's not surprisingly delicious, but it has a nostalgic taste, like the ending of a night out in Tsuruhashi with a bowl of Sanpei or the old Hirudora (Daitsuru), but sometimes I just crave Niryohan. The char siu in the umami meat ramen is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, but I prefer the thin and dry char siu for its nostalgic taste. The fried rice, with its strong saltiness and lard, tastes even better when you're drunk. And it's nostalgic. I wonder if the ramen shop near the house I lived in as a child was Daiichi Asahi? When I asked my mom, she said it was called Ramen Hana. I don't see Ramen Hana around these days, but what did it taste like?

I went to a shop that sometimes has a line, but was empty at night. I had the soy sauce ramen with seasoned egg, their famous roasted pork, and a beer. The roasted pork was perfectly seasoned and went well with the beer. The ramen was light but still had a rich flavor and was incredibly delicious! It was the perfect way to end the meal. I think it's a taste that I would love to have even during the day! I believe they also have salt and miso flavors, so I would like to try other options next time.

This is Tsuruhashi. There is a ramen shop here that I have liked since a long time ago. Its name is "Niryohan". I first tried it over 20 years ago and I remember it being delicious. It's a Kyoto-style chicken broth soy sauce ramen, similar to Ichiraku or Fuji. Trying it again after a long time, the taste is just as I remembered - a light soy sauce broth with thin noodles. It goes down smoothly into my stomach. However, I was a bit disappointed that the soup was lukewarm and there was not enough green onions. I wish the soup was hotter, almost burning, when I ate it.

After a long time, I visited a ramen shop. I ordered the chashu ramen with extra vegetables (bean sprouts, green onions). Even though it was past 1 o'clock, the place was full. I sometimes crave for this ramen. I didn't have to wait long before my bowl arrived. The soup was made from animal broth, with straight thin noodles, and the chashu was made from pork thigh meat with a consistent flavor. It's like the Osaka version of Asahi ramen. The set meal is also very cost-effective. When you order rice, you get kimchi as a side dish. It was delicious again today. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at "Niryouhan" in the yakiniku town Tsuruhashi, Osaka. A ramen shop that has been around for a long time, and speaking of a ramen shop in Tsuruhashi, it was here. I ordered this shop's specialty "set meals of char-siu ramen" (@¥980), and added a seasoned egg (@¥100) as the topping and the lunch limited set of dumplings (@¥120) to it. Although I thought I had too much, this dumplings set was very good value, so I finally decided to order it. The ramen had the soup of pork bones flavor, however, it wasn't so strong and was the nostalgic taste that it was easy to have it. The taste wasn't outstanding, however, I stopped eating it regularly. The soup went well with the rice, and I was also happy that it came with kimchi, probably because of the locality of Tsuruhashi. And the dumplings were so yummy with a thin skin and a condensed taste of garlic. It's a shop that feels like the authentic ramen in Osaka is here.
