Tonight, I had a regular meeting with my friends at the restaurant called Hakkai, known for its Chinese cuisine with a spicy twist. This was my first visit to the restaurant, including the previous location, and I have been wanting to go there ever since I saw it on a TV show. The restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk from JR and Kintetsu Kawachi Nagano Station, in a bright and new atmosphere since it moved from Kosaka in Higashi-Osaka City just over a year ago. As a Hakkai beginner, I left the food choices to my regular Milebi friends. Here's what we had: - Stir-fried greens (700 yen, priced per dish but they made enough for everyone) - Fluffy egg spice chicken nanban (1,300 yen, same as above) - Spicy pork tempura (1,050 yen, same as above) - Chinese-style crab and glass noodle stir-fry (1,600 yen, same as above) - Genghis Khan three-variety platter (2,850 yen for 2 people, same as above) - Osamu's special curry (price unknown) For the finale, we had the highly anticipated special spicy curry. It had a strong spice flavor but wasn't too spicy, with a rich umami taste. It was like a soup curry but with a perfect blend of Chinese and spice flavors. The first visit to Hakkai was satisfying and the cost was around 4,000 yen per person, making it a great value for the quality of food. I regret not visiting sooner, as the food was so delicious!

I had always wanted to try Hakkai in Nagoya, ever since the previous shop. I was looking forward to trying the curry that everyone recommends. I started with the Genghis Khan, which the shop also recommended. It was tender with just the right amount of bounce, and had no unpleasant odor. It was delicious. For the main dish, I tried the signature three-curry platter (mapo tofu, lamb keema, and hormone curry). I thought my stomach would burst, but each curry had a different flavor. It was a mystery if it could be called curry, but the unique taste kept me intrigued from start to finish, and I never got tired of it. It was amazing.

This is my second visit this month, and overall, I think it's my 8th visit. I've left reviews 5 times already, so maybe it's around the 8th time? The food is still delicious. Last time, I drank a lot, but this time I was a bit more restrained. From Chinese food to Genghis Khan, and finishing with curry, Hakai-don, lamb rice, and a full course meal. I also enjoyed about 8 Calvados shochu with soda. I left feeling a bit tipsy. No matter how many times I eat here, the food is always delicious! I still want to keep coming back to this restaurant.

Long time no see Hakkai! Ordered the "Spicy Lamb Rice (Basmati version)" as I couldn't handle the usual due to summer fatigue and aging. The volume of the spicy and tender lamb was amazing, so switching to the lighter and high-quality Basmati rice from India was the right choice! The combination of the lamb stir-fry and Basmati rice exceeded my expectations and I was very satisfied! The master made it "extra spicy" as usual, but my weakened body couldn't handle it this time... I ended up sweating twice as much. After a long time, I visited Hakkai-san. Invited those who requested Hakkai and had a beer to relax after skipping lunch and a long day at work. I also brought a stylish wine bottle. - Stir-fried green vegetables 700 yen - Fluffy egg Spice Chicken Nanban 1300 yen - Gyoza 290 yen x2 - Pork tempura 1050 yen - Hormone stir-fried noodles 1400 yen - Boiled dumplings 500 yen - Raw lamb Jingisukan three kinds of platter (chuck roll, mutton, shoulder) 2850 yen x2. You must try the stir-fried green vegetables with stewed meat, and of course, the chicken nanban, right? (laughs) Gotta have the garlic-packed gyoza and bone-in pork tempura for a satisfying Chinese meal at Hakkai. Next is the Jingisukan at Hakkai (laughs). The high-quality raw lamb is irresistible as always, and the delicious onions are a bonus. For the finale, the Morimori Osamu-style curry ♡ with plenty of shrimp tempura, it's Osamu-style! The unchanging deliciousness makes you forget about your full stomach, right? I also ordered a nostalgic sweet potato shochu on the rocks to enjoy. The unchanging smiles of Osamu-san, the landlady, and Matsutouya-san are lovely. I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the meal.

On July 26, 2023, I finally had the opportunity to visit "Taishu Chuyu Kah Shokudo Hakkai," a popular Chinese restaurant that moved near Kawai Nagaoka Station in Higashiosaka City in November 2021. I had been looking forward to this visit with Nara's Myrebi master, and the day finally came. We took the JR Tozai Line Rapid train from Osaka Tenmangu Station, changed at Osakako Station to the JR Osaka Higashi Line, and arrived at Kawai Nagaoka Station just before 6:00 pm. The restaurant is known for its delicious Chinese cuisine, curry, and even a fusion of Chinese and Mongolian cuisine. I was excited to try their dishes. This time, I went with Myrebi master from Nara, his friends, and Myrebi's daughter, a total of four people. We sat at a table by the wall and shared the following dishes and drinks: - Stir-fried green vegetables - Fluffy egg Spice Chicken Nanban - Gyoza x2 - Pork Tempura - Hormone Stir-fried Noodles - Water dumplings - Raw Lamb Genghis Khan (assorted) - Osamu-style Curry (assorted) - Drinks: Draft beer, white wine, red wine, and sweet potato shochu We started with a toast with draft beer and enjoyed the Stir-fried green vegetables, which were a mix of greens and minced meat with spices. The Fluffy egg Spice Chicken Nanban was beautifully presented with colorful cherry tomatoes and herbs, and the flavors were unique and delicious. The Pork Tempura surprised us with its bone-in spare ribs, and the Hormone Stir-fried Noodles had a delightful chewy texture. The highlight of the meal was the Raw Lamb Genghis Khan, a specialty from Hokkaido. The meat was tender and juicy, and the sweet onions from Awaji Island complemented it perfectly. We ended the meal with Osamu-style Curry, which featured four different curry dishes, each with its own distinct flavor. Overall, the dining experience at "Taishu Chuyu Kah Shokudo Hakkai" exceeded my expectations. The food was incredibly delicious, and I would love to visit again in the future.

With that being said, the curry is delicious, and of course, the Chinese food is also delicious, Hakkai-san. The harmony of noodles, broth, and ingredients is excellent. Of course, it's the best when there is curry fried rice. Pair it with wine, and it becomes a fantastic lunch. This is the best choice for hot weather. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

At the company's appreciation party with a large group, even though it wasn't all-you-can-drink, everyone kept drinking and drinking... It must have been expensive~ We drank a lot, but didn't get too drunk thanks to TAKE7. As always, it was well received by the participants and everyone was satisfied. I won't mention the taste because I've written about it many times before (laughs). The only complaint is that only local trains stop at Kawachi-Nagawa (laughs).

Popular Chinese and curry restaurant in Hanoi Eiwa. I visited for lunch and ordered a one-plate set and dumplings. Everything was delicious, but honestly, there didn't seem to be any standout features. The prices are not cheap, so I thought the cost performance was not that great. It's a popular restaurant with lines forming before opening, but the turnover is quite fast so the wait time is not that long, I think.

Today was a food blogger meetup organized by the amazing host, Mr. Rain. The location was Hakkai in Kawachi Nagawa, a restaurant I've been to many times and would gladly visit again. We arrived for our reservation at 6:30 PM and were greeted by Osamu and the hostess. We kicked off the evening with some trivia and ordered the following dishes: 【Food】 - Stir-Fried Greens (generous portion) ? yen (usually 700 yen per serving) - Fluffy Egg Spice Chicken Nanban (generous portion) ? yen (usually 1300 yen per serving) - Pork Tempura (generous portion) ? yen (usually 1050 yen per serving) - Chinese-style Crab and Glass Noodle Stir-Fry with Crab (generous portion) ? yen (usually 1600 yen per serving) - Raw Lamb Genghis Khan Assorted Platter 2850 yen x 2 servings - Osamu's Special Spicy Curry (Chef's choice version, generous portion) ? 【Drinks】 - Sapporo Red Star Beer (medium) 550 yen x 2 - Shochu Highball 400 yen - Sweet Potato Shochu on the Rocks 600 yen We were a group of about 8 people this time, and Osamu generously served us with larger portions of the dishes. The food looked more impressive and tasted incredibly delicious! The classic stir-fried greens had a unique spice blend that added a kick to the dish. Biting into the bone-in pork tempura while sipping on beer was a delightful experience. The fluffy egg spice chicken nanban was also incredibly tasty. The crab and glass noodle stir-fry with crab, which we don't usually order, had a rich crab flavor in the sauce, making it very satisfying. The Genghis Khan raw lamb platter, accompanied by the traditional chant from Osamu, was outstanding! However, the highlight of the evening was Osamu's special spicy curry, which was a mystery blend of lamb keema curry and a rich, flavorful soup. The combination was unlike anything I've ever tasted before, truly a unique and delicious experience. Another fantastic evening at Hakkai! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

On a certain day, a reviewer organized a celebration and I had the pleasure of attending the event. It was a long time since I last visited Hakkai restaurant. The mist was so thick that visibility was poor, so everyone be careful! The chef greeted us, and we were served a variety of dishes including stir-fried greens, fluffy egg spice chicken, pork tempura, crab and glass noodle Chinese-style dish, Genghis Khan three meat platter, and a special curry. The portions were generous and the flavors were amazing. The highlight was the special curry with soup curry on top, which was incredibly delicious. Osaka Kawachi Nagawa popular Chinese food restaurant "Yakai" SPICE Chinese Plate Lunch (1500 yen) Although there was only one group waiting outside before the lunch service ended, we were seated quickly. The a la carte menu is also extensive, making it difficult to choose. Yakai's famous Mapo Curry, as well as dishes like Chicken Chili, Lu Rou Fan, and Tonkatsu, allow you to enjoy a variety of flavors on one plate. The soup is also delicious. I want to try the Pork Tempura and Lamb Curry next time. I need to visit more often.

Restaurant Name: Popular Chinese Dining Hall Hachikai Nearest Station: Kawachi Nagawa Type: Curry This was my first visit to the restaurant. I arrived 30 minutes before opening but there was no wait. I ordered the Spice Chinese Plate (1500 yen) which included mapo tofu curry, pork cutlet, harumaki, chicken chili, and stir-fried pork and bean sprouts. I also got a large portion for an extra 100 yen. I finally had the chance to visit this place. The reviews said it was delicious, so I was curious to see if it was true. And it was! Every dish was high quality and I definitely want to come back again.

I ordered menu items A+B+C for 1650 yen, along with pork tempura for 250 yen and extra spiciness for 100 yen. I had some errands to run in Fuse, so I decided to visit this place that I had been wanting to go to. It is located just a few minutes' walk from Kawachi Nagawa Station, and there is a parking lot nearby which is convenient. I arrived on a Saturday around 1 pm and had to wait for about 30 minutes as there were about 8 people ahead of me. The curry comes in 3 varieties, so I couldn't choose and ended up ordering the mixed plate. It was served in about 30 minutes. The pork cutlet curry had a crispy fried cutlet and a thick, flavorful vegetable curry. The mapo tofu curry had chunks of soft tofu with a satisfying texture, and a blend of spicy mapo flavor and curry spices. The lamb curry had a strong lamb flavor that stood out, with the unique richness of lamb meat combining with the spices. It was delicious on its own, but mixing them together enhanced the flavors even more. The extra spiciness didn't add much heat, so I would like to try the super spicy option next time. The combination of Chinese and spice flavors was deep and unique. Thank you for the meal.

Today I feel like having wine. I'll pair it with a "Sheep Meat and Beef Hormone Plate". I'll go easy on the rice and everything else, for better digestion. Let's dig in. Starting with the white wine. It's really delicious, crisp and dry with a nice finish. Now for the "Sheep Meat and Beef Hormone Plate". The combination with the wine is excellent. It's very easy on my stomach. The spicy minced meat is flavorful and numbing, and the tempura shrimp is always juicy and tasty. The omelette and hormone fry are also delicious. The hormone is chewy and tender. Everything pairs perfectly with the wine. It was incredibly delicious. Very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I have visited this restaurant many times and it is my favorite! Everything is delicious! Especially the Genghis Khan lamb dish imported from Hokkaido is tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I went with friends for the first time and everyone loved it! They all said it's their number one choice to come back again. The Chinese dishes we ordered first, as well as the curry, Hakaisan bowl, lamb rice were all praised. We ended up drinking 5 bottles of wine, so it was a bit pricey, but usually it's within 5,000 yen which is reasonable. All the wines were delicious too.

Today, my wife and I took a trip to Hachikai in Higashi-Osaka, fulfilling our long-awaited visit. After much deliberation, I decided to go all out and ordered the Luro Roast option. The dishes we tried were: soy sauce chicken breast, Sichuan mapo tofu curry, and lamb curry. The combination of Chinese and spices was amazing. It made me crave a beer. Tonight, I was thinking about where to have dinner as I passed Nagoya on the Nozomi train. Hmm, maybe I should head towards Fuse because I'll be taking the JR Osaka Higashi Line? I got off at Kawachinagano Station around 8 PM and headed towards the Fuse area. I noticed a restaurant with an open counter seat, so I decided to check it out. Luckily, they had a seat available without a reservation, which was a bit of a redemption for me. When I visited the restaurant in Nagase before, there was a little incident, so this was a chance to make up for it. I started with a Red Star beer and couldn't decide between Chinese or curry, but ended up choosing the Osamu-style Spice Curry with pork vindaloo and Sichuan mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was not available that day, so I switched to the curry of the month. I ended up ordering a combination of the curry and mapo tofu, adding braised pork as a topping. The curry had a good balance of sweet, spicy, and sour flavors, while the mapo tofu had a nice texture with a hint of star anise. The pork vindaloo was flavorful and paired well with the basmati rice. Overall, the spice level was a bit mild, leaning more towards Chinese flavors. I felt that the curry could have had a stronger spice kick. Before leaving, I noticed the guy next to me eating dumplings with salt, which was a new way of enjoying them for me. I got so caught up in the curry that I missed out on trying the dumplings, but maybe next time!

Here is a popular restaurant in the area of Kawachi Nagawa, where the relocated from Nagase, East Osaka, is known for their Chinese cuisine or curry. I had visited their previous location a few times for lunch and had been wanting to visit for dinner, but due to various reasons like COVID, I didn't get the chance. However, they have now relocated near the station to a convenient location, so I finally visited again. We ordered dishes such as Taiwan century egg, dumplings, stir-fried greens, spring rolls, pork tempura, spare rib sweet and sour pork, crab and glass noodles in Chinese sauce, Sichuan mapo tofu, curry of the month, and sesame dumplings. The Taiwan century egg was cheap but had a strong taste, and the spare rib sweet and sour pork and pork tempura used the same meat, which was disappointing. The mapo tofu was rich and delicious, and we were very full after eating it. The curry at the end was served with a small portion of rice, which was a nice touch. Next time, I look forward to trying their Genghis Khan dish. Unfortunately, I missed a planned gathering at the restaurant, but I hope to visit again soon for some Genghis Khan. A very popular spice Chinese cuisine restaurant in Higashi-Osaka! The Chinese dishes and curry made with spices are delicious, and the Genghis Khan and lamb chops are extremely tasty! The Genghis Khan comes with 3 types of meat and plenty of sweet onions from Awaji Island, seasoned with spicy salt and a garlic-rich sauce, making it an unusually large size. The lamb chops, priced by weight, are generously coated with spicy salt, with a less distinctive lamb aroma, making them easy to eat, incredibly tender, juicy, and overflowing with fat. The perfect match with the spicy salt is just too delicious. When I was worried about the price of one lamb chop, it turned out to be only 1540 yen, which was quite cheap considering the size! All the other Chinese and curry dishes were also delicious, and even after ordering a lot, I was surprised that it only cost around 5000 yen per person! This restaurant offers a high level of menu in the unique genre of spice x Chinese cuisine, and it was truly a fantastic place to dine! It was my first time getting off at Kawachi-Nagawa, but it was closer than I thought, with a direct connection from Shin-Osaka on the Osaka Higashi Line! I definitely want to visit this place again in the future!
