I decided to stop by a little earlier on a weekday since this place always turns off the lights early. I was a bit skeptical at first, but surprisingly, the chef's skills were quite impressive! The sliced raw squid was seared and had a nice aroma, and the fried fu with sweet miso sauce had a crispy exterior and a soft interior, creating a delightful contrast in textures. The prices are on the higher side for a stand-up restaurant, but it may be worth it for the quality you get.

This is a place in Fukushima where you can drink Japanese sake. I went late at night without a reservation and was able to get in. The interior of the restaurant has a Japanese style with only a counter, and it is very clean. You can enjoy Japanese sake in a nice atmosphere. The closing dish of udon noodles was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Osaka Fukushima Patrol ♪ After having a quick drink at the second floor western clothing store in Fukushima, the second stop was the long-awaited Hirodai Z❗️ @hiroshidai_z. A new-style izakaya with delicious seafood and sake. It's a sister store of the famous Hirodai. Due to the pandemic, it had been almost 4 years since my last visit. The U-shaped counter seats are bright, and the cheerful staff's smiles make the atmosphere lovely. Luckily, there was an available seat when I passed by the front of the store. Wagyu and sea urchin roll for 780 yen, a favorite dish of mine. The perfectly marbled meat and creamy sea urchin melt in your mouth. It's incredibly delicious ❤️ The quality of the meat is high, even though it's a seafood-focused restaurant. Swipe x 5 ⏪ PIC2 Tsukuri Mori for 1,280 yen. The thick slices of fish were impressive, especially the golden eye snapper. PIC3 Natsuzake Sora Junmai Miyamanishiki. They had a good selection of summer sakes. The Kyoto Fushimi sake, Sora, was also available. It has a good sharpness and taste. PIC4 Tohoku Izumi Junmai Ginjo Miyamanishiki. Another Miyamanishiki sake, Tohoku Izumi, with a fine texture and fruity taste. It pairs perfectly as a sake for meals. Being a sister store of a Japanese restaurant, this new-style izakaya is at a high level now. I really liked it ❤️ I recommend it for solo diners as well. It was incredibly delicious. After several years, I visited a restaurant where you can enjoy Japanese sake and delicious food. They have a great selection of various types of Japanese sake, and the food is also delicious, especially the seafood dishes. The uni, sashimi, and mackerel sushi are highly recommended. It's a small restaurant with only a counter, but it's always easy to get a seat even though it's popular. They used to serve oden, but it wasn't available this time. I also didn't see the beautiful female sake sommelier who taught me about different types of sake last time. It's a shame she wasn't there. Damn you, Corona.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. The service was neither good nor bad, with staff lacking enthusiasm and energy. The food was disappointing, with a very limited menu and not many appealing options. The prices were quite high for the quality of the atmosphere and food. I had high expectations but was ultimately let down. I will not be returning.

The inside of the shop has only counter seats in a U-shape. It is always crowded with many customers whenever you go. I usually visit as my second or third stop. There are plenty of small dishes that go well with sake, making it perfect for a second stop. Depending on the timing, you can also compare freshly opened sake with ones that have been sitting at the bottom. I usually order Kazeno Mori. Also, Jyokigen Kyuheiji is good too! Thank you for the meal.

Taste: ★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★☆ Presentation: ★★★☆ Service: ★★★ I made a reservation through DM for about 4 people, which was the best number. The seating is all at the counter, so it might be difficult to talk if there are too many people. However, they set it up so that it feels more private in the corner, which is nice. The taste of the food was great overall, with no disappointments. The tempura was especially delicious. Personally, I felt the seasoning was a bit light, but my friend really enjoyed it, so that was good. The restaurant has a nice, not too noisy atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation before going! A few groups of customers left because they didn't have reservations. The prices can be a bit surprising, so be aware! (laughs)

I had been curious about Hirosaka Z for a while, so I made a reservation for Sunday at 6:00 pm and visited for the first time. The mackerel sushi, salt-steamed spring cabbage, fish with tartar sauce, highball, and white wine were all delicious, but I felt that the cost performance was not great. I had also been drinking in Temma the day before, so that may have influenced my perception. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice and the staff were friendly. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant on Saturday at 6:00 PM with a reservation. I was looking forward to trying the Shinsei sake. When I asked about the selection of Shinsei sake, they had No.6 X-tipe, Cosmos, Viridian, and Ecru available that day. I ordered the No.6 X-tipe. I couldn't really taste the unique aroma of No.6. I was a little disappointed, maybe because the bottle had been opened for a while or the storage conditions were not ideal. Next, I ordered the Myokyo Shisui, which was delicious. I felt that the food menu could use a few more options.

On the way to Yakitori Kokure from Fukushima Station, I had some time so I decided to stop by here. I noticed that there was no Wagyu Uni Maki on the menu. I muttered, "No Wagyu Uni Maki..." and the waitress apologized, saying that it depends on the ingredients they have. I was a bit disappointed as I had been curious about it. - Assorted Seared Sashimi (1680 yen): Includes Kinmedai, Sawara, Densuke, and Anago with salt and soy sauce for Kinmedai, salt for Anago, and soy sauce and salt for Sawara. All were nicely seared and fresh, making them a good accompaniment to alcohol. - Iburi Gakko Cheese (580 yen): A crunchy snack. - Octopus with Sesame Oil (780 yen): Octopus and onions cooked with flavorful sesame oil. I finished here as I had time for Kokure. The selection of alcohol here is great, with Flamingo Orange and Cool Mint from Kokubu Shuzo readily available. They also have four types of Shinsei, and when I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she mentioned that there are some drinks not listed on the menu. I tried Yamakawa Mitsuo for the first time, which is a seasonal item from Tatenogawa. It seems like a place where you can leisurely enjoy food and drinks. Thank you for the meal! (*´▽`*)

Fukushima day drinking second stop (time-shifted post) "If you want to drink sake, this is the place!" or "High-level cuisine!" So, I had high expectations for Hiroo Z even before visiting, as I had been following it on Instagram. But... ⚠️ I only post facts straight, so sorry if it upsets anyone haha---------- What we ate: - Assorted sashimi ¥1,280 x 2 - Wagyu beef and sea urchin roll ¥880 x 2 - Lotus root chips ¥580 - Fried eggplant with grated radish and ponzu sauce ¥780 - Chicken tempura ¥880 Drinks: - Draft beer ¥580 x 2 - Kazeno mori ¥780 - Jikomi nigori sake ¥? - Tatenokawa sake ¥580 x 2 - Shinsei Cosmos ¥? - Shinsei Viridian ¥1,300? - Shinsei No.6 Xtipe ¥1,600? The food seemed quite pricey for a place with a counter-only setup and a casual pub-like atmosphere. The sashimi came in 5 pieces per serving, so we ended up getting 2 servings, and the wagyu beef and sea urchin roll looked nice but could probably be found at a regular sushi restaurant. I was a bit concerned about the pricing of the Shinsei sake since it wasn't listed on the menu. And then came the bill... A little over 25,000 yen Wait, isn't that too expensive? Did they make a mistake in the calculation? Did they accidentally add the bill from the neighboring table? How much was that glass of Jikomi? I was prepared for the fact that a single bill wouldn't be enough with all the sake we drank, but this was way more than I expected! haha By the time we left, the place was packed. Everyone must be rich... *This is just one person's experience haha

During a spontaneous visit to Fukushima with a customer, we stumbled upon Hirota Z without a specific plan. The restaurant was clean and had a sense of cleanliness, with a large counter displaying today's menu. We ordered shirako ponzu, salt-grilled squid, assorted sashimi, assorted seared dishes, and fried chicken. We arrived around 8 pm, and many menu items were sold out, indicating the restaurant's popularity. The seared dishes exceeded our expectations, with the skin being properly seared to enhance the aroma and sweetness of the conger eel, golden eye snapper, and Spanish mackerel. The choice of fish for searing was perfect. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Revisited (September 22nd) for the first time in 4 years as a light snack. The wagyu and sea urchin roll, along with other casual dishes, were delicious. They also have interesting etiquette shochu for a fun drinking experience. Menu for this visit: - Wagyu and sea urchin roll - Corn tempura - Fresh tofu with miso sauce - Octopus with salt and sesame oil - Smoked herring - Cream cheese Drinks: 1 beer, 2 sake, 2 sweet potato shochu (at night) for 4500 yen per person. This place is a popular neo-izakaya known for its delicious snacks and carefully selected sake. The atmosphere is casual and bright, making it easy to enter without any pressure. The staff are friendly and provide pleasant service with a smile.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was friendly. There were various types of Japanese sake available, which made it enjoyable. The food was delicious, and we had a great time eating while sipping on sake. My favorite was the sweet corn tempura. For sashimi, not only soy sauce but also ponzu and salt were provided, which was fun. The staff members were not wearing masks, and the seating was close to each other, so people who are concerned about COVID-19 may find it uncomfortable to dine here. Thank you for the meal.

I finally had the chance to visit the restaurant I had been wanting to go to, Hirosaka Z! I went with a friend and we tried their recommended dishes like mackerel sushi and fish fry with tartar sauce. The fish fry was especially delicious and went well with sake. The only downside was that it was a bit hard to get the attention of the female staff members, maybe because of where we were seated. The restaurant was always full after 7:00 PM, showing how popular it is. The area around the restaurant in Fukushima Ward has many interesting shops and is a fun place to explore. Overall, we had a delicious meal. Thank you!

Good job, everyone! The last stop of July is a rice dish at "Bar Kinari"♡ First, I had a highball and some snacks✨ - boiled edamame - fried figs with a nice texture and excellent broth✨ The gentle sweetness of the figs matched perfectly with the edamame✨ It was a soothing and comforting experience❣️ Finally, I fulfilled my wish and ordered the steamed rice with sea bream (please allow 40 minutes for preparation)✨ The staff member with nail polish matching the color of the edamame mixed it slowly and thoroughly✨ The aroma of the sea bream infused rice was delightful✨ The moist and fluffy sea bream with a slightly firm texture paired perfectly with the freshly cooked rice✨ It was a heavenly bowl of rice‼️ I always envied the customers next to me or across from me enjoying this dish✨ The second helping, with a bit of crispy rice, was even more delicious❣️ I couldn't finish it all, so I had the remaining rice made into onigiri to take home, heated it up, and enjoyed it with delight⛰ Ah, I had a lot of delicious sake as well✨ It was a challenging day, but good job everyone✨ Let's go to "Bar Kinari" in Nishi-Temma‼️‼️‎´•ﻌ•`ワンBringing happiness to you✨Bon appétit('□' )ma

Meat! Meat! Meat! Eating and then drinking sake~~~ I can't eat anymore‼️ I wanted to eat Z's Kamameshi but got scolded, so I had Warabimochi instead✨ I finally arrived after hearing it's delicious (/・ω・)/ Sweet Warabimochi paired with Japanese sake, a delightful combination✨ "Kaishun Kyuka Sanpuku" is a refreshing sake that is perfect for hot summer days, made with natural fermentation. "Hiozakura CANON" is a beautiful sake that will captivate you✨ Summer sakes are often refreshing, making them perfect to pair with summer vegetables. Warabimochi with black honey and kinako is a homemade sweet treat with a perfect balance of starch and moisture, bouncy and sweet with a refreshing aftertaste that complements the sake finish just right! Don't end your meal with ramen! Warabimochi✨ After drinking at Z, head to Nishi-Tenma✨ Bringing happiness to you✨ Bon appétit('□' )ま

Tonight, I took a walk in Osaka in front of Fukushima Station♫ Recently, many people have been visiting the izakayas that I also visited. You really have to experience things yourself to understand them. As soon as the door opened, a male staff member was busy preparing. Inside, there was a spacious area with a counter in the shape of a "C." Inside, there was a female staff member wearing a glossy red T-shirt♫♫♫♫♫ \(^o^)/ ♫♫♫♫♫ \(^o^)/♫♫♫♫♫ "Hmm... Is this opera?" It felt a bit odd to have opera playing in the background rather than classical music♫ In the stifling heat, only a cold beer can soothe me. I ordered a draft beer and gulped it down. Ah, I feel better now. Looking at the menu, there was a great lineup of fresh fish dishes. First up, a sashimi platter with Hirame, Sawara, Densuke Anago, Hirame, and Kensaki Ika. All of them were moderately fresh and delicious. Another draft beer, please♫ Next, Wagyu beef and sea urchin roll. The Wagyu beef had a rich marbling and a strong flavor. I was curious about this dish, and it had been a while since I had Wagyu beef and sea urchin roll. Lately, it has become a common dish in trendy restaurants, but when I first had it at "Kanemasu" in Tsukishima, Tokyo, I was amazed that this was a dish at an izakaya(*☻-☻*) Next, Bai shellfish simmered. Rolling the Bai shellfish around a toothpick and pulling out the meat was fun. Another round of draft beer while enjoying this innocent fun. After the playful antics of the middle-aged men, I chatted with the cheerful female staff member for a while. She was bright and fun, but she seemed to be leaving soon. She recommended a fun new restaurant for the future, so I look forward to visiting it(*^^*) Next, mackerel sushi. The vinegar was well blended with the thinly sliced skin. With more draft beer and some snacks, I was moderately satisfied. By the way, the izakaya's name was derived from the names of the two owners. Oh, and the T-shirt the female staff member was wearing had a caricature of one of the owners on it(*^^*) Thank you for the delicious meal♫

Z's classic! Highly recommended✨・Octopus with sesame oil ¥780Simple yet delicious! It's amazing❗️Octopus and sesame oil, a hint of salt✨The umami of the octopus combined with the aroma of sesame and a pinch of salt is just fantastic (/ ・ω・)/♡The chewy texture of the fresh octopus is absolutely delightful✨✨Reika-san's sake✨・DATE SEVENA wonderful sake project by seven breweries in Miyagi Prefecture✨Each brewery uses the same rice from the same field to create their own sake, allowing you to taste the different variations of sake✨This time, it's a Tanabata special! The Hikoboshi and Orihime bottles together...a beautiful dry sake! Both of them are crisp and you can really feel the passion behind each one, so delicious♡The two lovers who can never meet in real life are united in my mouth, along with the octopus pairing, so delightful (*´ ³ `)ノAfter Z, it's off to Nishitenma...?
