"I want to go eat churrasco after a long time," said my wife. We decided to visit Barbacoa, a churrasco restaurant located on the 5th floor of the upscale shopping zone, Herbis Ent, in Osaka Umeda. This is our second visit, the last time was in 2018. I remembered that Costco sells discount coupons for this restaurant, so I went to Costco in Amagasaki to purchase a 10,000 yen worth ticket at around 20% off. However, due to busy weekends and my wife suddenly declaring a diet, we couldn't go for a while. The ticket expires next month, so I hurriedly made an online reservation for the restaurant. Lunchtime is cheaper, so I aimed for that, but most of the slots for weekends were already filled. Luckily, I managed to secure the last slot for lunch at 2 pm next month. The area around Herbis in the east of Umeda still has a luxurious feel. My wife even dressed a bit better for the occasion. After informing the staff about our reservation, we were seated. The salad buffet was the first stop, and my wife was particularly looking forward to it. The variety of vegetables and salads was impressive. We were given a round card on the table, green side up means more meat, red side up means stop. I eagerly waited for the meat to arrive, starting with lean cuts like rump. It was delicious even without any seasoning. Next came chicken and sausages, which were crispy and tasty. Then, they served Picanha, which is a must-have at a churrasco restaurant. It was sliced and served, and the taste was fantastic. We also tried cuts like sirloin, filet mignon, pepper steak, and garlic steak, each one delicious. Surprisingly, they even brought out sirloin, which is usually only available during dinner. The lamb that followed was flavorful, and I couldn't resist getting a couple of slices. The grilled cheese was also a highlight. Towards the end, they kept bringing more meat, and we were getting full. I flipped the card to red, indicating we couldn't eat anymore. Despite the tempting salads, we couldn't eat much more. We ended the meal with a small soft-serve ice cream for dessert. We also had the drink bar option, but at 2,500 yen, it was a bit expensive. We managed to have a few drinks before giving up. We returned home feeling full and skipped dinner and drinks that night. The next morning, we still didn't feel hungry. The meal was so satisfying that we didn't need to eat much for a while. The salty meat made us very thirsty, and we drank a lot of water afterwards."
