On the second day in Osaka, before returning to the accommodation, I got off at Sakai-machi station and visited the Ebisubashi Center Building. I was surprised by the number of morning cafes I visited before, so I thought there must be a lot of coffee shops around, so I came to investigate. One place that caught my eye right away was this pure coffee shop called Hiro. I was really intrigued by the pudding lined up in the glass case outside, and the "original Osaka specialty fluffy egg sandwich" that was featured on TV was spot on! After checking, it seemed like they didn't have morning service, so I knew this was my only chance and decided to go in. Despite the impression at the entrance, the inside of the shop is surprisingly spacious. On the left side, there is a slightly elevated area with a counter and tables, and on the right side, there are sofas along the wall with tables lined up. The copper tables with wooden chairs, and the counter made of bricks with stylish lamp lighting. There is also a cold brew coffee device displayed (I wonder if it's still in use). After consulting with the staff, I ordered the egg sandwich set first (950 yen). The coffee had a refreshing taste despite its dark appearance. The egg sandwich was piping hot, with a thickness of 3-4 centimeters in some places (just the egg sandwich!). I was told they use 3 eggs for it. The flavor is not too strong, with tomato, cucumber, and mayonnaise. The bread was soft and delicious. Alright, I still had room for more, so I ordered the homemade golden baked pudding (650 yen). It was softer than it looked. The sweetness was mild, and the bitterness of the caramel stood out. It came with whipped cream, ice cream, banana, and strawberry, and they all went well together. And most importantly, it paired perfectly with the coffee. I should have ordered a second cup. It's a shame they don't have morning service, but I definitely want to come back again.
