I visited a gyoza restaurant that was selected as a Michelin Bib Gourmand, so I will share my review. The gyoza at this place was truly delicious and exceeded my expectations! The exterior of the restaurant is stylish with a chic curtain, creating a great atmosphere. Inside, there are counter seats in a clean and beautiful setting. Today, I tried the following: - Tateyama Gyoza (6 pieces) ¥460 - Vegetable Gyoza (6 pieces) ¥460 - Shrimp Gyoza (5 pieces) ¥620 - Ume Shiso Gyoza (5 pieces) ¥570 - Chicken Gyoza (5 pieces) ¥540 - Pizza Gyoza (4 pieces) ¥580 - Char Siu (Roast Pork) ¥1050 (half size) - Spicy Cucumber ¥450 - Soup Noodles (Red) ¥580 - Ebisu Draft Beer (medium) ¥620 The gyoza kept coming one after another, each with a slightly different appearance but all delicious in their own way. The differences in the gyoza skin, filling, and even how to eat them were noticeable and made each gyoza unique and tasty. The Tateyama Gyoza, with a special sauce, was a standard gyoza with garlic, using Aomori garlic. The Vegetable Gyoza, with a miso sauce, was full of vegetable texture and sweetness. The Shrimp Gyoza, with lemon and salt, had a big, juicy shrimp inside. The Ume Shiso Gyoza had a refreshing taste of plum and perilla. The Chicken Gyoza, with yuzu pepper, was healthy and light. The Pizza Gyoza was a unique dish that looked great for Instagram, with a crispy gyoza skin and a savory filling. Each gyoza had its own charm and deliciousness. Not only the gyoza but also the other dishes were top-notch. The Char Siu was tender and flavorful, and the Spicy Cucumber had a crunchy texture with a delicious kick. The Spicy Noodles had a addictive spicy soup and chewy noodles. Everything paired perfectly with beer or sake. Overall, this gyoza restaurant is truly a gem. The gyoza, as well as other dishes, were delicious and well-crafted. I highly recommend visiting this place to experience the variety of flavors and enjoy a delightful meal.

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and the teppan grill is sparkling clean. The gyoza was delicious, and since it was not crowded, I was able to chat with the staff. I had a pleasant experience in every aspect. During this time of year, if you watch the sunset from Sky Building and then visit the restaurant, it will be just about opening time.

It was excellent. The restaurant is small so it can't fit many people. There were many types of dumplings, and I tried all of them without getting tired. They were all delicious, but the regular dumplings with a punch of garlic were my favorite. I definitely want to go back again.

I want to eat delicious dumplings! So I went to Tachiyama. I have stayed at The Westin Osaka many times, but I had no idea this restaurant existed. First, I ordered a draft beer, Tachiyama dumplings, and plum shiso dumplings. The Tachiyama dumplings were just ordinary dumplings. They were delicious. The plum shiso dumplings were a bit salty for my taste. I thought, this is not what I expected! So I ordered shrimp dumplings. They were a big hit! They were crunchy and juicy, and incredibly delicious. Eating them with salt was also a good idea. They reminded me of the shrimp water dumplings at Tachikichi Gyoza in Shibuya, or maybe even better... Next time I stay at The Westin Osaka, I will try other dumplings as well. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious! I will come back again.

Introduced by Maruji Gyoza, I visited another gyoza restaurant called Gyoza Tateyama, located on the opposite side of the Symphony Hall. The place was packed, but the friendly staff at the counter told us to wait for 15 minutes. I later realized that I had ordered from this place before, but it was my first time dining in. It's a gyoza specialty shop run by a very cheerful and kind owner. Each gyoza was made with great care and attention, cooked perfectly to bring out the love put into them. They were bite-sized, with a cute and plump shape, and the filling was soft and gentle in flavor. The meticulous preparation and the delicious taste made it a truly delightful experience.

Tateyama Umeda branch! I went to a dumpling restaurant near the Umeda Sky Building after a long time! The dumpling skins are still chewy and delicious! This time, I tried a variety of dumplings and they were all delicious! The Aomori garlic used in Tateyama dumplings is really good! The shiso dumplings are refreshing and tasty! Personally, I still love the shrimp dumplings the most! They are filled with plenty of shrimp and very tasty!! The pizza dumplings are just like pizza, it's funny! The char siu dumplings are a must-order, they are so tender and delicious! Beer goes well with everything! Thank you for the delicious meal!

On this day, after having fresh pasta at the neighboring Al Tortellino for dinner, I still had room in my stomach so I went to Tachiyama Gyoza, which is also selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand. Last time I visited, it was either after Al Tortellino, and at that time, it was not yet listed in the Michelin guide, but the entrance exuded a delicious aura, so I couldn't help but enter. The classic Tachiyama Gyoza that I ordered was juicy and full of umami, and I remember it hitting the spot despite being a random visit. The following year, I was a little surprised that gyoza would be listed in the Michelin guide, but I was convinced that it was a gyoza that deserved such recognition. It was delicious again this time. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular day at 1915, I had the Tateyama Gyoza (¥460) and Ebisu Draft Beer (¥620) without waiting. This gyoza restaurant is one I visit quite often. It's usually pretty crowded, but as luck would have it, it was empty when I passed by, so I decided to have a light gyoza and beer session. The gyoza was the usual Tateyama Gyoza. Among the 7 types available, this is the restaurant's recommended one, and it's actually my favorite. It has a strong garlic flavor that really enhances the gyoza-eating experience. The other gyoza options are garlic-free, but I wonder if a gyoza specialty restaurant really needs to cater to customers who can't eat garlic. If it were up to me, I'd prefer the restaurant to confidently specialize in gyoza with a strong garlic flavor. However, the owner doesn't seem to be that assertive. In reality, many customers order gyoza other than the Tateyama Gyoza, but in my mind, I'm thinking, "Just enjoy the garlic!" If you can't eat garlic or have plans after this that prevent you from eating gyoza, then maybe it's best to give up on coming to a gyoza specialty restaurant. Come to enjoy the Tateyama Gyoza to your heart's content in a state where you can eat gyoza without any worries! Oh, and I forgot to take a photo of the gyoza while I was thinking about all this.

Located about a 10-minute walk from Umeda Station (at the foot of the Sky Building), this restaurant has been winning Michelin stars for many years in a row. They have a variety of dumplings to enjoy! Personally, I love the plum and shiso dumplings. They are refreshing and have a tangy flavor. This is something new and exciting!

I am traveling around the country in search of truly delicious food. I love everything from high-end cuisine to casual dishes. 【Area】Umeda area, Osaka City 【Genre】Gyoza (dumplings) 【Awards】None in particular 【Number of visits】First visit 【Crowdedness】No wait, was able to get in right away 【Food】Primarily gyoza, more like a snack than a meal. Seems like a good option for after drinking. 【Ambiance/Facilities】Casual establishment. Eat quickly at the counter. 【Customer Service】Nothing in particular 【Overall Evaluation】Located right in front of The Westin Osaka, so it's a good choice for after drinking. Thank you for the meal.

About 10 minutes from JR Osaka Station, Osaka Metro Umeda Station, and Hankyu Umeda Station in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. You can find this restaurant by cutting through the vast UR development site and heading towards the northwest side of Osaka Station. I thought the owner might be from Toyama based on the restaurant's name, but it turns out they are from Osaka haha. I sat at the counter and ordered a bottle of Kirin beer for 650 yen, 6 pieces of Tateyama Gyoza for 460 yen, and 5 pieces of Chicken Gyoza for 540 yen. The Tateyama Gyoza contains garlic and is larger than the bite-sized gyoza commonly found in Osaka. The balance of meat and vegetables was good, and the gyoza was well seasoned. The Chicken Gyoza was also well seasoned with a focus on chicken, although it was slightly dry compared to the Tateyama Gyoza which was the best of the two. The gyoza seemed to be made with great care. The Chicken Gyoza came with yuzu pepper, which was very delicious and fresh. I would like to come back and try all the varieties of gyoza in a relaxed setting. Thank you for the meal.

The dumplings have a nice texture with a good balance of crunchiness from the vegetables and sweetness from the filling. They are small but packed with delicious filling. The restaurant is clean and cozy, but I'm not sure why it's awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand. It's conveniently located near the Westin Hotel in Osaka, so maybe it's a favorite among the judges. It's a bit far from the station, but I would definitely visit again when staying at the Westin.

I visited the gyoza specialty restaurant "Tateyama," which has been featured in the Michelin guide for 4 consecutive years☺︎ The cozy restaurant has only counter seats. This time, I tried 6 out of the 8 types of gyoza they offer✨ ① Tateyama Gyoza - A standard gyoza made with carefully selected domestic ingredients and Aomori garlic. Despite containing garlic, it is surprisingly light and easy to eat. ② Vegetable Gyoza - I enjoyed this with Kobe-style miso sauce. ③ Shiso Gyoza - The refreshing taste of shiso was nice✨ ④ Shrimp Gyoza - I topped it with lemon and salt. The skin is slightly thicker compared to other gyoza, but the chewy texture and juicy shrimp are irresistible. ⑤ Chicken Gyoza - I had it with yuzu pepper. It was as juicy as the standard gyoza✨ ⑥ Pizza Gyoza - The only one with a different appearance (lol). The cute cherry tomato adds a burst of flavor and makes you crave for more. Aside from gyoza, I also had char siu, cucumber, and the soup noodles as a finishing dish. The "Red Soup Noodles" in particular had a perfect balance of spiciness and umami, making it delicious. Overall, the gyoza were light and addictive, making it hard to know when to stop. If you're curious about these gyoza, be sure to visit the restaurant☺︎

I visited a dumpling specialty store. The dumplings arrived in about 5 minutes. The taste was similar to homemade dumplings, with ingredients and flavors that could be made at home. The dumplings were on the smaller side. The ramen, however, may not have been that great. It's a place where you can sit at the counter like a bar, eat without worrying about the taste, and drink.

I went for a stroll from Osaka Station to a famous gyoza restaurant recognized by Michelin. It's a small gyoza shop with only a counter. The customer service was excellent, and the staff warmly welcomed me. I started with a glass of Ebisu draft beer (580 yen), which was very cold and had a creamy foam that was delicious. I quickly finished it and ordered another one. There were various gyoza options on the menu, but I decided to try all the gyoza recommended by the staff. I tried the Tateyama gyoza (430 yen), shiso gyoza (510 yen), and shrimp gyoza (570 yen), which were all so delicious that I ended up ordering the pizza gyoza (550 yen) as well. The Tateyama gyoza, a pan-fried gyoza, had an amazing filling. It crumbled like high-end sushi rice, and the texture of the vegetables was distinct, with each piece of meat standing out. The skin was not too thick but had a chewy texture. The shiso gyoza had a filling with more vegetables wrapped in shiso leaves and then neatly wrapped in dough before being baked. The Tateyama and shiso gyoza had a subtle seasoning that made them delicious on their own. The shrimp gyoza, eaten with lemon and salt, had a strong shrimp flavor and a firm texture. It was one of the best shrimp gyoza I've ever had. The pizza gyoza was like a mini pizza with the skin simulating the dough. It was an interesting gyoza that you could hold in your hand, but it didn't exceed my expectations like the other three. It was a fantastic gyoza night, and I will definitely visit again.

I ordered from a popular dumpling restaurant located right near Umeda Sky Building: - Tateyama Gyoza (6 pieces) for 430 yen: These dumplings are the only ones with garlic in them, they are light and easy to eat with just the right amount of garlic flavor. - Shrimp Gyoza (5 pieces) for 570 yen: I ate these with salt and lemon instead of sauce, the plump shrimp was irresistible. - Soup Gyoza for 510 yen: Contains three types of dumplings - vegetable, shrimp, and Tateyama. All the dishes were delicious! There are many other menu items like pizza, plum and shiso, and chicken dumplings that I am curious to try. This is definitely a restaurant I must visit again.

4 consecutive years Michelin Bib Gourmand winner. In Osaka, there are only 2 gyoza restaurants listed in Michelin. Not particularly bad, but personally, these gyoza didn't leave a strong impression. If I had to choose, the vegetable gyoza was light and I felt like I could eat endless amounts. Thank you for the meal.

It seems that this place was also featured in the Michelin guide. The reservation was full, but luckily we were able to get in without waiting as a few groups were turned away at the door. We ordered bottled beer, gyoza, and half portion of char siu. If you order alcohol, you get complimentary kimchi. The char siu was juicy and flavorful, they even warmed it up in the microwave. The gyoza was also delicious, with a sweet and juicy meat filling. Despite not being very big, they were satisfying to eat. The owner and the veteran lady, along with a new staff member who seemed inexperienced, were running the place. The overall service was warm and welcoming, making it a pleasant dining experience.

On weekends and holidays around 6:30 PM, this gyoza specialty counter-only restaurant near Osaka's Sky Building is always packed. It's a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognized place. The menu mainly consists of gyoza, with 8 different types available along with a few side dishes. The gyoza here are generally light in flavor and of average size. The Tatesan Gyoza is gentle and light, while the Shrimp Gyoza has a nice texture with a mix of shrimp meat and paste. The Vegetable Gyoza is even lighter than the Tatesan Gyoza. The Chicken Gyoza is also light in flavor. The Pizza Gyoza is the richest in flavor, with gyoza skin as pizza dough and toppings on top, although it can be a bit difficult to eat. The Char Siu Gyoza and Spicy Cucumber are also available. In terms of cost performance, it may be a bit on the expensive side. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Unknowingly, we entered a shop that has won the Michelin Bib Gourmand award! In addition, completely in the mood for gyoza, we ordered beer and gyoza right away. "Ah, delicious! Perfect match." Moreover, being able to enjoy various types of gyoza in bite-sized portions all at once made us even happier. By the way, they don't serve white rice. I thought about eating rice with it, but it seems to be the restaurant's policy. We ate a lot of gyoza, had about 2 drinks, and the bill was 4,500 yen. Wow, affordable!! Good cost performance and high satisfaction. Thank you for the feast. *Since it's far from the station, there is a risk of not being able to enter if you go there casually. Around 10:30 PM, I visited a small dumpling restaurant located just south of Umeda Sky Building. It is the dumpling shop "Gyoza Tatesan," which won the Bib Gourmand award in 2021. The interior of the restaurant is small with only counter seats. The Bib Gourmand is an evaluation system used by the Michelin Guide to recognize high-quality restaurants with good value for money. Generally, restaurants with a budget of less than 5,000 yen are eligible for this award. Menu: - Tatesan Gyoza (6 pieces) - 430 yen - Vegetable Gyoza (6 pieces) - 430 yen - Shiso Gyoza (6 pieces) - 510 yen - Shrimp Gyoza (5 pieces) - 570 yen - Ume Shiso Gyoza (5 pieces) - 540 yen - Chicken Gyoza (5 pieces) - 510 yen - Pizza Gyoza (4 pieces) - 550 yen - Soup Gyoza - 510 yen - Soup Noodles - 550 yen - Chashu (half/full) - 550/990 yen - Spicy Cucumber Drinks: - Draft beer, bottled beer, highball, sake, shochu, green tea plum wine, awamori, soft drinks Dishes Tried: - Tatesan Gyoza: A standard and popular choice with a slightly chewy texture and a light taste. - Chicken Gyoza: Juicy and flavorful. - Shrimp Gyoza: Recommended for its firm texture and delicious aroma. - Ume Shiso Gyoza: Refreshing taste with the accent of plum flavor. - Chashu (half): A delicious and satisfying dish with a generous portion. Overall, the dumplings were light and enjoyable, with different varieties complemented by various condiments. The unique menu items like Pizza Gyoza added to the dining experience. Despite slightly overeating as a solo diner, the total cost of around 4,000 yen felt reasonable for the high-quality food. Thank you for the meal.
