On my birthday, I had a reservation at 19:00, so I arrived 15 minutes early. I was grateful to be upgraded to the most expensive course, the "Caviar Course". At 29,000 yen per person, it was the most expensive meal I've ever had. Scary. However, this price only includes the course, so I decided not to think too deeply about it.
-----Taste Impressions-----
First, three types of bread were served. This was my third visit to the restaurant, so I already knew how delicious the bread was. My favorite was the onion bread in the front. It was sweet and delicious. I wish they sold the bread separately. I also ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail, the "Yuzu Sparkling Lemonade", which arrived while I was eating. It cost 1,500 yen. I drank it with gratitude. The taste was distinctly yuzu, not too sour, and very delicious.
For the appetizer, I had the "Fresh Caviar Plate". It was labeled as Beluga caviar, which showed their attention to detail. I learned that there are three main types of caviar: Beluga, Osetra, and Sevruga. The caviar was served with various condiments like egg yolks, whites, onions, sour cream, and some spicy ones. I was puzzled about how to eat it, but I used a spoon and found the taste to be too luxurious for my palate. The amount of caviar served was quite generous, even for two people. There was also a lemon wrapped in black paper with a blue ribbon, which turned out to be an elegant way to serve lemon.
Next, I had the "Beverly Hills Chopped Salad", which was colorful and tasty. The waiter offered to add pepper, but the salad was finely chopped, so I only used a fork.
I then had the "Cinderella" cocktail, a non-alcoholic drink. My partner ordered the "Seasonal Fruit Martini", which was mango-flavored. It was delicious but too strong for me. The martini cost 2,200 yen.
The "Lobster Bisque" was flavorful and easy to eat. I started to crave bread to dip in the soup.
The highlight of the meal was the "Prime Aged T-Bone Steak". The fillet and sirloin were both delicious, with the fillet being more tender. The steak was served with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach as sides. The meat was cooked medium-rare and was incredibly tasty.
For dessert, I had the "Assorted Dessert Plate", which was birthday-themed with four pieces of cake.
