The atmosphere had a retro feel which was nice! I had the cheesecake, but I thought the cheese flavor was too strong and it could have been a bit sweeter. Honestly, it wasn't very delicious. The price seemed a bit high for the taste. It's a cafe with good access being close to the station. Luckily, there were few people, so I was able to get in without waiting in line!

On Saturday at 11:00, I entered the shop and found that the first floor was full, so I went up to the second floor, which is a specialty shop for light roasted coffee. It's a bit expensive... I ordered a Kenya Rivien Osieemo for 650 yen and took a seat on the second floor. The seats by the window along the river offer a great view, so they were quickly taken. I sat near the stairs where there was a power outlet nearby. Even though I didn't use it, the staff brought my order to my seat at 11:15. They use unique cups here. The coffee is delicious! It has a sweet and sour berry-like taste with a refreshing lemon-like acidity. There is also a natural sweetness and a long-lasting, tea-like elegant aftertaste. Rivien Osieemo seems to be the name of a coffee farmer. This place emphasizes atmosphere, so I think the experience greatly depends on whether you can secure a window seat. Thank you for the meal!

Looking out at Nakanoshima, I enjoyed a cafe time with a comforting hot drink☕ It was freezing outside, so it was a relief✨ I was able to enjoy a substantial dessert and spend time in a historical building, which was great. It used to be possible to travel between here and Tossabori through an underground passage⁉️ I could go down to the underground area when using the restroom, so it would be nice if that space could be utilized for seating or something. The building itself was lovely and had a nice atmosphere◎

There is a popular cafe near Keihan Kitahama Station, located along the Tosabori River in an important cultural property Western-style building. The view is picturesque and on sunny days, the coffee tastes even better. They only serve lightly roasted coffee beans, and I had a latte which was incredibly flavorful. Personally, I prefer dark roast but I learned to appreciate the light roast here. Osaka seems to be popular for light roast coffee. The baked goods were also delicious, especially the moist carrot cake. The Kitahama area is becoming even trendier with more stylish shops popping up. I marked a few places to visit next time while walking around. Osaka is great as always.

The area around Kitahama has many cafes along the river, and Embankment Coffee also offers a relaxing window-side experience! The weather was nice, although a bit chilly. I ordered a cafe au lait, cinnamon cheesecake, and banana cake. The hot cafe au lait surprised me by being served in a glass, and it cooled down quickly due to the cold outside. The cinnamon cheesecake was a new experience for me, with a nice cinnamon aroma. It was a stylish combination! The texture made me think it had a higher ratio of flour in the cheesecake. The banana cake was moist and delicious, with a great balance of banana sweetness. Highly recommended! The view of the river with Aqua Liner passing by and the rose garden in Nakanoshima on the other side was delightful. Although the cafe recommends staying for no more than an hour, I had a great time!

It is recommended to visit in the morning on weekends as it is relatively quiet with available seating, before it gets crowded in the afternoon. I ordered the popular items, an iced cafe latte and a buttercream cake. The rich cream made with plenty of butter has a thick and buttery texture, allowing you to savor the deliciousness. The cafe latte, which pairs perfectly with the cake, gradually melts the ice as you drink, allowing you to enjoy the changing temperature and milk flavor. This cafe is popular among women for its Instagram-worthy ambiance, so be sure to visit. Bon appétit!

When asked for a recommended cafe, I almost always introduce this shop. That's how much I love this place. Although Kitahama is a fiercely competitive area for cafes, the atmosphere here is more relaxed, perhaps because coffee is the main focus. I highly recommend the drip coffee, iced Americano, and espresso tonic. While it's nice in the winter, I feel like it really shines in the summer due to its wide selection of light-roast coffees.

There were also cozy semi-private booths for two people. I had cake and coffee. The carrot cake had lots of nuts and was delicious. The cinnamon cheesecake didn't have a strong cheese flavor, and the cinnamon was subtle. It was a unique taste. The restaurant operates on a one-hour time limit, which is good for a short visit.

It pairs well with the lightly roasted coffee. The Ethiopian aroma is quite refreshing, making me feel like I've become a beautiful woman (which is not good). It's more of a fragrance than a scent, closer to the description of tea. It's a gentle, slightly tea-like cup of coffee with a subtle plum sweetness and a hint of bitterness. It's an elegant and refined cup, not something to drink when you're in a rush. It was a good experience this time too (and it wasn't crowded).
