Today was my third visit to OCOMO, and it was my first time visiting at night! The atmosphere was nice for a weekend night out. I forgot to take a photo of the entrance, but I managed to snap a picture of the back seats before they filled up, giving you a glimpse of the cozy vibe.
We ordered the "All-You-Can-Eat (Premium Course) / 2,680 yen" for two people, along with two "Black Oolong Teas / 350 yen" each. From the premium course, we tried the following:
1. Mentaiko Mochi Cheese Monja (regular price 1,350 yen)
2. Tuna Monja (regular price 900 yen)
3. Shitamachi Monja (regular price 950 yen)
4. Asari Monja (regular price 1,000 yen)
5. Three Cheese Monja (regular price 1,150 yen)
In total, we had 5 sets of Monja, which came to 5,350 yen. The portions were similar to a regular order, but depending on your appetite, it's definitely worth it. The Mentaiko Mochi Cheese Monja was a favorite, and the Three Cheese Monja was a revolutionary mix of cheese that was incredibly delicious when topped with coarse pepper.
Overall, I highly recommend OCOMO for their fresh seafood and innovative Monja variations. Despite being stuffed, I already want to go back for more Monja soon. It was a satisfying first night visit to OCOMO, and I look forward to enjoying it again soon!

I had been curious about this place for a while. The entrance was stylish and I couldn't help but take a picture. The mentaiko cheese mochi monja, the oyster butter grilled, and the pork okonomiyaki monja were all huge in portion! The okonomiyaki was cooked by the staff and it was fluffy and delicious! It was difficult to get the right heat on the teppan grill...

The fresh seafood series is delivered every morning at Tsukiji Market! The second stage of OCOMO Koiwa store has been open since the other day! I arrived a bit late for lunch around 13:30, and this time my partner, my mother, joined me again. My mother loves shellfish, shrimp, squid, and okonomiyaki, so we ordered seafood dishes as before. The seafood ingredients at OCOMO are so fresh and delicious, so I highly recommend ordering seafood dishes. This time, we ordered 2 cups of black oolong tea for 350 yen each to start. For the main dishes, we ordered three options: 1) base tempura for 750 yen + sakura shrimp for 150 yen + egg for 150 yen, 2) seafood tempura for 1150 yen + corn for 100 yen, and 3) clam okonomiyaki for 1000 yen. We tried option 1 with an extra order of egg. The egg was cooked separately and placed on top of the okonomiyaki, adding a nice flavor. We finished it in no time. Option 2, the seafood tempura, was loaded with fresh seafood like scallops, shrimp, and squid. We added corn as a topping, which complemented the dish perfectly. My mother's stomach was getting full, but she suggested trying the clam okonomiyaki, so we ordered it. It was my second time trying okonomiyaki, and it turned out delicious, especially with the plump clams. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch experience, and I look forward to visiting OCOMO again soon!

Today, I visited a new okonomiyaki restaurant in Asakusa that I had been wanting to try for a while. This was actually my fourth time visiting an okonomiyaki restaurant in my life. I brought my mother along, who is in her 70s and this was her second time at an okonomiyaki restaurant. She had some specific requests like wanting the okonomiyaki to be cooked lightly, not liking monjayaki, and not being able to eat meat. So, we ordered the following: 1) Homemade pickled vegetables for 400 yen, 2) Orange juice for my mother for 300 yen, black oolong tea for me for 350 yen, 3) Seafood okonomiyaki for 1150 yen, 4) Okonomiyaki base for 750 yen, 5) Clam butter yaki for 850 yen. We chose the seafood option since my mother can eat seafood. The okonomiyaki was cooked for us in a thin and crispy style, which was delicious. The seafood ingredients looked fresh and appetizing. The owner mentioned that they source their seafood daily from Tsukiji Market, which explained the quality. The seafood was plump and flavorful, and we really enjoyed it. The price was reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. The okonomiyaki sauce was standard, but they also had other sauces like mustard mayo and tartar sauce, as well as condiments like seaweed and bonito flakes on the table. We mixed the clam butter yaki with the okonomiyaki base and it was a delightful combination. We also enjoyed the homemade pickled vegetables and refreshing water they served. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and service, and I look forward to trying their monjayaki next time.

Hidden Bali-style restaurant serving okonomiyaki
Today, I visited a hidden Bali-style restaurant that I had mistaken for a Singaporean cuisine place. Walking through a path lined with lit pebbles, I reached my seat. The entire interior was Balinese, with Balinese music playing and even Nasi Goreng on the menu. But it was actually an okonomiyaki restaurant! It felt strange to eat okonomiyaki while listening to Balinese music, but the delicious food soon made me forget about it. The menu was intriguing, so I ended up ordering a variety of dishes. The mixed okonomiyaki had large shrimp and scallops, along with flavorful juicy meat. The hormone okonomiyaki was well-seasoned and fluffy. The oyster okonomiyaki had an abundance of fresh oysters, which made this oyster lover very happy. The monjayaki with green curry was spicy but delicious - a recommended dish for those who enjoy spicy food. The Nasi Goreng with wagyu beef and seafood was flavorful, but after trying the wagyu beef fried rice, it lacked impact. The wagyu beef fried rice with sauce was a perfect ending to the meal, with a delicious taste. The matcha red bean roll with cream and black honey was satisfying on its own. I was curious why a Bali-style restaurant was serving okonomiyaki, so I asked a waitress who was making the red bean roll. She said, "I wonder why? Maybe because the owner loves Bali." The exterior of the restaurant is quite deceiving. It wouldn't be strange to find a place like this in Meguro or Ebisu, attracting adult customers. The all-you-can-eat option with drinks added cost around 2500 yen per person, making it a great value. I hope to visit again soon.

I visited around 6 pm on a weekday. It was raining heavily and early, so there was only one group of customers already there. Three more groups arrived after me. I had lamb and hormone teppanyaki, oyster teppanyaki, two types of monjayaki, and salt yakisoba. The monjayaki was a self-seasoning type, allowing you to adjust the flavor to your liking, which I thought was great for those who want to customize their seasoning. The lamb and hormone dishes had delicious seasoning, and the salt yakisoba had thick noodles with great flavor. I would like to visit again.

Both the okonomiyaki and monjayaki were really delicious! I will definitely choose this place again when I crave okonomiyaki. The taste and atmosphere were both excellent. Although it's a bit on the pricier side for okonomiyaki, the flavor is worth it! I couldn't resist having another one!

I had dinner in KoIwa for the first time. A friend had made a reservation for us, and I must say, this place is one of the happiest powder-based restaurants I've been to! The staff were all very kind and good-looking. They were efficient and I really liked that. The food was delicious and went well with the drinks. Everything we ate sparked great conversations. The monja was especially tasty. The dish with avocado and octopus mixed together was also endless and enjoyable. The atmosphere inside was open and perfect for a lively group. Even though our party grew larger later on, the owner kindly rearranged our seats and we ended up staying longer than planned, but it was a happy time. The conversation flowed and as usual, I forgot to take photos. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was not like a typical okonomiyaki place, it was stylish and they made okonomiyaki like latte art. I also tried both okonomiyaki and monjayaki, and they were very delicious.

It didn't quite suit my taste... I wonder if everyone else finds it delicious? It's a good value because it's big. I probably won't go again.

I went to the restaurant with my mother and niece for the first time in a while during the New Year. The staff informed us in advance that there might be a delay in ordering due to the shortage of staff, but we didn't mind waiting at all. We had a good time, and my niece was happy, so it was great.

I can't think of any other great shops in Koiwa. The interior of this shop is really nice, isn't it? I occasionally get taken here. On this day, we didn't have okonomiyaki because there was another shop to go to. The scallop carpaccio, hormone yaki, pork shabu salad, fried chicken liver, and sausage were all delicious. We went with two people, but I pretty much ate everything myself. It was gone in no time. Thank you for the meal.
