I was able to visit the Rebechi Chinese restaurant in Kanamecho, where you can encounter new flavors every time you visit. For dinner today, I visited this place. There are more staff members, and they are wearing T-shirts with the restaurant's logo. "Fukumanen Korou" There is no appetizer, so I ordered some appetizers. I have tried it several times, so I didn't order it today, but the 6 or 9 types of appetizers are definitely recommended. "Sapporo Red Star Medium Bottle (780 yen)" First, I moisten my throat with Red Star. "Steamed Eggplant with Green Chili Sauce (550 yen)" Steamed eggplant with a soy sauce base and a salty and spicy green chili sauce. It's refreshing and spicy, and delicious. "Salt-boiled Lamb with 2 Types of Sauce (1500 yen)" The lamb boiled in salt has a simple seasoning, with a chewy and juicy texture. Even without the sauce, it can be enjoyed deliciously. The sauce is a mixture of salt and green herb paste, similar to Genovese sauce. I enjoyed the remaining salt-boiled soup seasoned with Ajishio. "Seafood Ankake Yakisoba (1030 yen)" For the final dish of the day, I ordered seafood ankake yakisoba. The ingredients include shrimp, squid, scallops, as well as vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, komatsuna, lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, carrots, broccoli, and wood ear mushrooms. The ankake sauce is made with a sesame oil-scented salt sauce with a gentle thickness. When you drink this sauce as a soup, it's incredibly delicious. It has a rich and milky flavor reminiscent of champon soup. It was delicious!!! Thank you for the meal!!! #025

Visited around 11:45 am on a weekday in September. There were about 3 groups of customers before me, but there were empty seats and I was seated immediately. Ordered the Braised Pork Belly in Stone Pot for 900 yen (tax included) and it was served in about 10 minutes. The dish had a distinctive aroma of spices like star anise. I was expecting a thicker consistency, but it looked like a vegetable soup with thick slices of pork on top. Out of the three slices of pork, the one at the bottom was tender and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture, but the other two had a slightly tough texture. The soup had a flavor of vegetables, pork, and spices. Under the meat, there were ingredients like Chinese cabbage. The slightly sweet taste reminded me of Taiwanese cuisine, and surprisingly, it went well with rice. Also, the braised egg was delicious. I really enjoyed that part.

This is my second visit. The restaurant doesn't display lunch menus outside, so it may be a bit confusing. I ordered mapo tofu and grilled dumplings (850+720). The mapo tofu was delicious as expected. It's hard to describe, but it had a different taste from the usual mapo tofu. The floating chili oil was very tasty, and the garlic chives added a nice touch. The soup and pickled vegetables were also delicious. As for the dumplings, they were decent, although I felt they were a bit pricey.

This is a Chinese restaurant located in Yomemachi, just one station away from Ikebukuro on the Yurakucho Line. The name of the restaurant is "Guroo." It has a casual atmosphere where you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. The menu mainly focuses on Sichuan dishes, offering a wide variety of options. On Saturdays, the restaurant opens at 11:30 am and only allows 3 groups of customers to enter at opening time. Although there were customers coming in and out, the restaurant did not reach full capacity or have a waiting line outside. The reviewer tried the Hot and Sour Soup first, which was delicious with its hot temperature, pleasant sourness, crunchy bamboo shoots, and a good balance of spiciness. They also enjoyed the Mapo Tofu, which was hot and spicy with a burst of umami flavor from Sichuan pepper and garlic. The reviewer mentioned that other dishes like hot pot, appetizers, and meat dishes seemed delicious as well, so they would like to visit again with friends for dinner next time.

Authentic Chinese cuisine in Yomachi. Despite its small appearance, the dishes are authentic. The shrimp wonton noodles remind me of the noodles I had at a noodle shop in Hong Kong. The tofu salad, mapo tofu, steamed chicken, and other dishes never disappoint. Especially the spring rolls, with a soft and crispy skin and a fluffy interior, are amazing.

I revisited the restaurant because I didn't like the mapo tofu last time. This time I ordered the shrimp and egg in chili sauce. It came relatively quickly since it was past 1:30. The shrimp was small but delicious and hot. Quite tasty. The almond jelly was light and good. For lunch, there are various set meals to choose from.

I had been thinking of visiting someday, but finally managed to go. Since it was a weekday, they had a lunch menu which seemed like a good deal. I tried the mapo tofu, wondering if it was authentic, but it didn't quite suit my taste. They have a variety of dishes, so next time I'll try something else.

The fried rice was light and refreshing, and it was delicious even at the end. The mapo tofu was quite salty. However, everything I ate was good and I thought it was Sichuan cuisine that suits Japanese people. There are many other dishes I want to try, so I would like to visit again.

I had been interested in Kuro-san from before, so I extended my visit to Ikebukuro where I had some business to attend to. It seems that they don't offer a lunch menu on Sundays, so I ordered the tantanmen for 920 yen. The soup had a rich sesame flavor that became spicier as I ate it. The noodles were very thin, and personally, I would have preferred them a bit thicker. The sweet miso added a nice touch, with small pieces of minced meat instead of ground meat. The crunchy bean sprouts and the half-cooked seasoned egg made the meal even more enjoyable. Thank you for the delicious meal. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or for enjoying some drinks in the evening.

A Sichuan cuisine restaurant located in a residential area about a 3-minute walk from the station. It has been selected as a new Chinese cuisine top 100 restaurant. When I visited on Sunday after 1 pm, there were a few empty seats. I was seated near the entrance, so I couldn't see the back, but there seemed to be more seating beyond what was visible. I had planned to have the lunch menu, but unfortunately, they only offered a la carte on weekends. I had to rethink my order. Although I usually like to try fried rice at a new restaurant, this time I opted for Sichuan dishes. I started with a beer to wet my throat and ordered spring rolls as an appetizer.
- Spring Rolls -
The spring rolls are uniquely long and thin, with a slightly thicker skin due to being double-wrapped. They have a crispy texture and good oil control. The filling is simple but fragrant and well-seasoned, making it a great match with beer.
- Dan Dan Noodles -
The noodles are topped with plenty of sesame seeds and drizzled with spicy oil. The toppings include meat miso, green onions, eggs, and an unusual addition of bean sprouts. The soup has a gentle and mild flavor with a rich depth. The spiciness from the chili oil wasn't as strong as expected, but it gradually builds up as you eat. The noodles are thin like Hakata ramen, and they complement the soup well. The crunchy texture of the bean sprouts adds a nice touch, and the half-cooked eggs are perfectly done. If I have the chance to visit the area again, I would definitely like to try their lunch menu that I missed this time.

This is a Chinese restaurant in a small town. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was able to enter without waiting. The dish of stir-fried lamb was very delicious. The fried rice was also to my liking. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for a banquet. The hall staff noticed me well and it was very helpful. It's a famous restaurant!!! The taste was "just delicious", maybe because my expectations were high. The lamb skewers were not too strong in flavor and remained soft even when cold! The interior of the restaurant was also clean. I want to check out more must-eat menu items and have a rematch.

This is a Sichuan cuisine restaurant near the station in Yomachi. I tried to go before but it was full, so I decided to give it another shot for lunch on a holiday. The service was still cool, but I was relieved to be able to get a table for lunch. There are no set menus on holidays, so you have to order dishes individually.
- Spring Rolls x2: $5
I struggled to pick up the spring rolls with chopsticks and ended up laughing. The skin of the spring rolls was crispy and had a great texture. I couldn't tell what was inside, but it was delicious.
- Mapo Tofu: $9
I ordered the Mapo Tofu as it is a classic Sichuan dish. It was spicy and flavorful with a slight tanginess, probably from the finely chopped pickled vegetables. It also had chives, and there seemed to be many secrets to its deliciousness. I will definitely order this again.
- Seafood Fried Rice: $10.30
I couldn't decide between white rice and fried rice, so I went with the seafood fried rice. It was good with fluffy rice and seafood, but it was overshadowed by the Mapo Tofu. My dining partner mentioned that preferences may vary depending on the menu, but the Mapo Tofu might be better than the famous restaurant in Nagatacho.

I visited "Fukumanyuan Kuro" which was newly selected as one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants, just a 2-minute walk from Tomachi Station. I arrived 10 minutes before the opening on a holiday and there was no waiting line. I could enter as soon as they opened. The restaurant quickly became full. I ordered the seafood fried rice for 1,030 yen. It was served in about 10 minutes. The fried rice is moist but also fluffy. It contains shrimp, squid, and scallops, with the scallop flavor seeping into the fried rice making it delicious. The squid is perfectly cooked and very tasty. I enjoyed it until the last bite.

Visited the Chinese restaurant in Yomemachi on a non-working day at GW. Chose the spicy hot pot stew based on reviews. My wife had the classic seafood yakisoba with thick sauce. The dish was a delicious and spicy combination of lamb, Chinese cabbage, lotus root, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms cooked in a spicy soup! Finished it off by adding white rice. It was so tasty! 😄

Today, I visited Fukumansen Korou in Toshima-ku, Tokyo, right near Yurakucho Line's Yotsubashi Station. I am truly delighted that this place has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. It is hard to find a Chinese restaurant in the city that is both affordable and delicious like this one. I have tried a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. Their lunch menu, which is all under 1000 yen, offers a full range of authentic Chinese dishes. The cooking style is tailored to suit Japanese tastes, using good Chinese spices and ingredients, and the portions are generous. I had the fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce and seafood yakisoba. The set menu includes rice, pickles, egg soup, and almond jelly. The rice was tasty and the overall quality of the food was excellent. I will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

The sweet and sour pork was quite delicious. When I visited around 1 pm, the restaurant was full, so I shared a table with someone dining alone. Most people were eating a lamb hot pot-like dish. After a bad experience with pork at a Chinese restaurant in Ishigami Park last month, I decided to try the sweet and sour pork for 850 yen, which turned out to be the right choice. There were no carrots, but plenty of cabbage. It was a long time since I had such tasty sweet and sour pork. The soup had a corn flavor, which was also good.

I finished work in Yomachi and came here to visit. Luckily, it was a late lunch so I was seated right away. The restaurant was packed. The food was very delicious, and it's clear that this is a popular spot. If it were closer, I would definitely be a regular customer. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat something spicy, so I ordered the lamb tendon mala hot pot set meal for 900 yen and also a Sapporo Red Star beer for 780 yen. The hot pot dish had lots of finely chopped garlic in it, which I love, but be careful if you're sensitive to the smell of garlic. It wasn't as spicy as I expected, but I added some chili peppers to make it spicier. The black vinegar on the table paired well with the dish. The egg soup and almond jelly that came with the lunch set for less than 1000 yen were of high quality, making me feel like I got a good deal. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a unique Chinese restaurant called Fukumatsu-en in Tokyo, Yoyomachi, known for its game meat dishes. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a spicy aroma that made me a bit nervous. I decided to try their most popular dish, the spicy hot pot stew with lamb tendons. It was not the usual fatty meat, but rather the tendons of the lamb. The dish was cooked with a generous amount of chili peppers, making it very spicy and authentic. The aroma was wild and intense. It may be too spicy for those who are not fans of game meat, but for those who enjoy it, this dish is irresistible. It may be best enjoyed with some alcohol. I must say, it was really spicy.

Visited "Fukumansen Korou" in Yomemachi. It is a Chinese restaurant in Yomemachi that also serves game meat. The exterior of the restaurant gives off a vibe of authentic Chinese cuisine, and upon entering, the interior is also in line with that image. I was seated at a table and looked through the menu to place my order. I decided to try a menu item that had caught my attention from other reviews. The lunch rice comes with a free large serving option, but I decided to go easy on it today. Inside the restaurant, you could hear the sizzling sound of frying oil and the pleasant aroma of Chinese spices. The atmosphere was complemented by Chinese-style background music. The dish arrived, and it looked appetizing.
- Lamb muscle mapo hot pot (900 yen including tax)
The aroma of the spices was enticing even while it was being cooked. The bright red color was also intriguing! I took a bite, and it was spicy! The heat was strong enough to make me break a sweat while eating. The unique flavor of the lamb meat blended well with the spices. The dish also contained vegetables like Chinese cabbage, lotus root, and bamboo shoots, with wood ear mushrooms adding a nice touch. It paired well with rice! The egg soup had a rich umami flavor, and the pickled mustard greens served as a good side dish. Lastly, I had almond jelly for dessert, which was a traditional and sweet way to end the meal. I paid with PayPay, and the price was quite reasonable for a delicious meal. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.
