On the first day of my business trip in Fukuoka, I visited Gyutan Yakiniku Tsuruha Hakata Station for lunch as soon as I arrived. The restaurant is located on the 9th floor of JR Hakata City, directly connected to Hakata Station. Tsuruha is a popular restaurant known for their delicious beef tongue dishes. I arrived around 1:00 PM and although there was no line, the restaurant was almost full with around 50 seats at the counter and tables. I chose to sit at the counter by myself. The table was equipped with soy sauce, pepper, shichimi spice, toothpicks, and disinfectant alcohol, along with chopsticks and wet towels. I ordered the Special Seafood Bowl and Beef Tongue Yakiniku Set for 2,288 yen, with extra rice. The set included beef tongue yakiniku and beef tongue salt-grilled, each with 2 slices. The extra rice was complimentary. The dishes and sweet soy sauce for the seafood bowl arrived within 5 minutes. The presentation was excellent, with a colorful seafood bowl, beef tongue yakiniku, beef tongue salt-grilled, nanban miso, pickles, tail soup, and a Japanese sweet (matcha warabi mochi). The seafood bowl had a variety of seafood and was of decent quality. The beef tongue dishes were delicious and the nanban miso, pickles, and tail soup were also great. Overall, my first meal in Fukuoka was a big success! I highly recommend this set meal. Be sure to give it a try!

After shopping at Hankyu, I went to my favorite restaurant, "Gyutan Sumiyaki Toku Hisa Hakata Station Store". I ordered the Gyutan Yaki for 2552 yen and a handsome highball for 429 yen. The 700ml highball for 429 yen is cheap! The Gyutan was tender and delicious! Thank you for the meal! (^人^)

I had dinner here on my way back from shopping. I sat at a table and ordered the beef tongue set with 4 pieces of 8 slices for ¥3047, and also added an extra order of egg and grated yam. It was reliably delicious *\(^o^)/* The tail soup that came with the set was also delicious♪ Thank you for the meal!

Located in Hakata Station, "Gyutan Yakiniku Rikyu" is a must-visit. I started with a Handsome Highball (429 yen) for a toast. The grilled beef tongue (2552 yen) paired perfectly with the highball. The meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. I even had to order another highball to go with it! I'm already looking forward to trying the Gyutan Stew next time.

The thick cut of meat is amazing! It's also tender and delicious! The thinly sliced meat has a nice chewy texture and is tasty. It's always packed during lunchtime. The price varies depending on the amount of meat. The set meals are reasonably priced. It was also featured on YouTube Mie Channel.

9th floor of Hakata Station building. I went to eat beef tongue but got distracted by the seafood bowl and ended up getting a set. I didn't notice when taking the photo, but the main dish, the beef tongue, is not visible - what a mistake! Other reviews have plenty of delicious-looking photos, so it's okay. The seafood bowl was neither good nor bad.

Since moving to Fukuoka, I had only eaten gyutan at Tokiwa in Higashiyama. Even though I wasn't very hungry, I ordered a hearty set meal with tororo. I prefer to eat it with spicy miso. Once I started eating, I couldn't stop. I finished it all in no time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had a delicious beef tongue lunch at Kuten in the sky. It's always a popular spot with long lines, but today we were able to get in after about 10 minutes. It was my first visit, so I was unsure what to order, but based on my companion's recommendation, I went with the beef tongue and grated yam set meal. It came with barley rice and beef tongue on top of grated yam, which was amazing. You could choose between oxtail soup or a hearty soup with lots of ingredients (miso or soy sauce flavor). I chose the oxtail soup, which had a strong oxtail flavor. Additionally, a cute dessert that looked like matcha mochi was served. I was completely satisfied with my lunch and it was a great experience. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Beef tongue set meal. In Hakata, finally had the beef tongue that Child B likes. It's located in a building at Hakata Station. Surprisingly crowded. Mostly women. I had the beef tongue set meal. B had the beef tongue and skirt steak set meal. It arrived. Lots of pickles. Lots of tail soup. Sweet! Thick beef tongue. Delicious. The simmered dish is a bit strong in flavor. I like the green chili miso pickles. The rice keeps coming. Thank you for the meal. B, do your best.

Gyutan Yakiniku Tsurukyu Hakata Station branch located in the Kuuten at Hakata Station. It is a popular restaurant with long lines during lunchtime. The lunch set menu offers good value for money. The thickly sliced beef tongue has a great texture. The seasoning is just right, making the rice even more delicious. The perfect seasoning makes you want to have a beer with it!

I had a meeting near Hakata Station and was unsure where to have lunch. I was debating between KITTE Hakata and Kuuten, but ended up going to Kuuten. I wanted to have yakiniku so I tried going to Yakiniku Champion, but it was closed for lunch. Too bad. So, I decided to try out Rikyu for their famous beef tongue. I ordered the specialty, beef tongue, and it had a nice chewy texture. The beef tongue marinated in miso was even better. Next time, I'll try the beef tongue karaage that caught my eye.

On this day, my family went shopping at Hakata Station. The kids were looking for Valentine's chocolates. By early afternoon, they said they were hungry and suggested going to "Kuuten" to eat something. We first went up to the 10th floor, but were surprised to find many shops closed or on break. So we went down to the 9th floor, where we also found some shops closed or on break. It seems like "Kuuten" is also struggling due to the coronavirus. The seafood bowl shop we wanted to eat at was closed, so we reluctantly went to the "beef tongue" shop in front of us. When we entered the shop and looked at the menu, we were surprised to see a set of "seafood bowl" and "beef tongue". Of course, we ordered this set. The "seafood bowl" was quite expensive, but it came with beef tongue, so it seemed worth it. The "seafood bowl" from "Hinode," "Kisuiran," and "Shirasukujira" was delicious as always. Ah, I also had some sesame mackerel.

Before going to this shop, I was wandering around "Kuuten" in Hakata Station. Due to the "state of emergency" being declared, many shops were either operating with reduced hours or closed. Especially on the 10th floor, I noticed a lot of shops were closed or on break. I decided to try "Rikyu" this time. When I looked at the menu inside the shop, I saw a "seafood bowl" but felt like trying something different, so I ordered the "seafood bowl set" with beef tongue. Seafood bowl from a beef tongue shop was just okay. Next time, I want to try eating a lot of beef tongue.

I visited this restaurant because I felt like eating beef tongue that I saw in a movie before coming here. I have been here a few times, and it seems like the menu has changed quite a bit. There used to be long lines, but this time I was able to get in without waiting, probably because it was in the evening. I ordered a set meal that included seafood bowl, simmered dish, and beef tongue. The beef tongue was so delicious that one bite could fill several mouthfuls of rice. It was flavorful and satisfying. The seafood bowl was also quite generous in portion, and I was satisfied. The salmon and sweet shrimp were fresh.

I visited with a friend for lunch on a holiday. By 11:30, there were about 5 groups waiting. I wonder how many years it has been since I last had beef tongue at Rikyu-san. I didn't even know that Rikyu-san had opened a branch in Fukuoka. The menu has become more diverse compared to the past. We ordered the Tan-Toro set meal and the Beef Tongue & Imo-Ni set meal. Both beef tongues were thick and satisfying to eat. I sprinkle some shichimi for a spicy kick. Of course, I also enjoy the red chili miso paste. The spiciness seems to have softened compared to the past. The tail soup tastes the same as always. I like to sprinkle a lot of pepper for an extra accent and punch. You can choose between Yamagata-style and Sendai-style Imo-Ni. The ingredients are the same, but the Yamagata-style is soy sauce-based while the Sendai-style is miso-based. I chose the Yamagata-style to remember the taste from my trip to Yamagata. It was light and delicious. The grated yam goes well with the barley rice. The soy sauce also seems to be different from the regular one. The barley rice slides down smoothly. Beef tongue from a yakiniku restaurant is also delicious, but Rikyu-san's beef tongue may be on a different level. I recommend those who live in the western part of Japan to stop by when using Hakata Station.

- Menchi katsu (breaded and deep-fried ground meat cutlet) - Gyutan don (beef tongue rice bowl) - Gyutan (salt, miso flavored beef tongue) - Gyutan stew, highly praised by my wife. She said she wants to come back again. I used to eat this a lot when I was in Sendai, so I'm already familiar with the taste and wasn't particularly impressed. However, the beef tongue was very tender and delicious, and my personal favorite is the Gyutan don, which is very easy to eat. It was a good choice for our last dining out of the year. My wife said she wants to come back again, so we plan to visit again soon. Thank you for the meal.

I always see a long line, but I was able to get in quickly. The beef tongue is delicious, but the presentation of the dishes is lacking. The stew is rich and tasty, but the beef tongue meat is slightly dry, which can happen with simmered dishes. Perhaps using a pressure cooker to quickly simmer could help reduce the dryness?

It was a day trip to Hakata for a business meeting. One of my colleagues requested to eat beef tongue, so we went to Ikkaku. I often go to the one near Haneda Airport, but it was my first time at the one near Hakata Station. The thick-cut beef tongue was delicious! I wanted to go all out with extra rice, but considering work in the afternoon, I held back. The oxtail soup was also tasty! The texture and flavor of the beef tongue were both delicious, it was a great experience.

Located on the 9th floor of JR Hakata City, 1-1 Hakataekichuogai, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, is Gyutan Charcoal Grill Tsuru Hisa Hakata Station store. I remember how amazing it was when they first opened. I visited this place at the request of a friend. We had lunch here. The beef tongue had a great texture and tasted delicious. Located inside the Hakata Station Building, this restaurant is called "Kuuten." Among the various delicious eateries in Kuuten, this one specializes in beef tongue, which is rare in Fukuoka. Originating from Miyagi, it's the real deal. Despite going slightly off peak hours, there was still a line. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were finally able to get in. While only the kitchen counter was visible from the outside, the restaurant surprisingly had plenty of table seating further inside. For my first visit, I tried the classic beef tongue set meal. It consisted of grilled beef tongue, beef tongue simmered in soy sauce, beef tongue soup, and barley rice. Each dish featured their prized beef tongue, offering a mini feast of beef tongue variations. The grilled beef tongue arrived piping hot and was incredibly tender with a bouncy texture, making it a fun eating experience. The simmered beef tongue was flavorful and paired well with the rice, making it extremely delicious. The beef tongue soup initially seemed ordinary, but at the bottom of the bowl, there were chunks of beef tongue that were tender and fell off the bone easily. With the beef tongue set meal, I was completely satisfied and full after enjoying a delightful beef tongue feast. Thank you for the meal.

On a day off, feeling like having "beer in the afternoon", I visited this restaurant with the intention of pairing draft beer with beef tongue. It was late lunchtime, so the restaurant was still filled with customers having their meals. I opted for draft beer and beef tongue on its own. The thick beef tongue was tender yet had a good chewy texture, making it the perfect accompaniment to beer. The spicy miso served as a side dish worked really well. Towards the end, I started craving for some white rice, so next time I would like to try the set meal.
