I used to think that eating one-character bag noodles was delicious. This time, I challenged the salt ramen at the main branch of Yunokawa. When I smelled the aroma after it was served, it smelled delicious. The scent of the light salt ramen intertwines with the aroma of lard. When I tried the thin, low-hydration noodles, the lard and not too strong salt flavor soup mixed together. It's a clear soup base, but with a solid and delicious taste. I see, it's a light but not bland and delicious soup. I wondered if thin noodles were the mainstream in port towns, while enjoying the delicious ramen. There are two types of green onions used, and the bamboo shoots are firm and well-seasoned, with a slightly remaining taste in the core, making them soft and very good. The chashu looks like it falls apart easily, but it still has a good meaty texture and is also delicious. Well, it's a well-made ramen, and it would still be delicious with medium-thick noodles with low hydration. However, the seasoned egg has a slightly strong flavor, making it feel more like a side dish for rice, which I personally find a bit out of place. Nevertheless, it's still a very delicious ramen.

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. I was seated right away without waiting. I ordered salt ramen and half-fried rice. The salt ramen had a clear soup, unlike the traditional Hakodate salt ramen, but it had a rich chicken broth. The chashu and noodles were soft. The interior of the restaurant was clean and had a sense of cleanliness. Thank you for the meal.

I stayed at a hotel nearby, so I visited this restaurant conveniently. Since it's in Hakodate, I tried the salt ramen. The soup was light yet flavorful, and the noodles were just the right thickness, which I personally really enjoyed. There are several famous ramen shops in Hakodate, but definitely stop by when you're in the Yunokawa Onsen area.

I visited the restaurant at 1:00 PM on a weekday. I didn't have to wait and went inside to order the salt ramen. It was served in about 5 minutes. The soup was carefully made with kombu, chicken, and maybe lard, giving it a deep flavor. The noodles were straight and the charred pork chashu and yuzu added a refreshing touch to the soup. The taste was not bland but had depth, making it an interesting dish to eat without getting tired of it. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Hakodate Menya Ichimonji Hakodate Main Store (Hakodate, Hokkaido, Yunokawa-cho) Hakodate Homecoming Series ✈️ I was curious about Ichimonji @ramen_1_monji. Visited by car around 11:30, parking was smooth️ Waited in line for about 20 minutes until entering, but it went by quickly. It's a salt ramen, but the soup has depth, with yuzu peel for a refreshing taste✨ The chashu is soft and delicious~♪ I'm glad I went there ☺️・#IchimonjiRamen #IchimonjiRamenMainStore #HakodateIchimonjiMainStore #HakodateSaltRamen #HakodateSaltRamenTour #Yunokawa-choGourmet #HokkaidoGourmet #HokkaidoSightseeing #HakodateGourmet #HakodateSightseeing #HakodateTravel #HakodateFoodTour #ntm202308Lunch #ntmHokkaido #ntmHakodate #ntmRamen

This is a ramen shop located in the Yunokawa area of Hakodate, known for its hot spring town. It is a popular shop with the backdrop of the Tsugaru Strait, bustling with tourists on this day. In addition to this main store, the shop also has two other locations: "Hakodate Kameda Honcho Goryokaku Station Front Store" and "Hanazono Store" near JR Goryokaku Station. When it comes to Hakodate, salt ramen is the go-to, but at "Ichimonoji," the shoyu and miso ramen are also delicious! I enjoyed all three flavors.
(Ordered)
- Salt Ramen ¥840
- Shoyu Ramen ¥840
- Miso Ramen ¥890
- Large Rice ¥200
First, the salt ramen is light yet has a deep flavor in the soup. The soup is made with whole chicken, chicken bones, and seaweed from Minamikayabe. The very tender chashu had a crispy aroma and soaked up the soup, spreading deliciousness in my mouth. It was irresistible. When I peeked into the kitchen, they were using charcoal fire! They char the chashu topping for the ramen over charcoal! I was convinced by the crispy aroma. The shoyu and miso ramen had different types of noodles and the soup was excellent, making me feel the dedication of "Ichimonoji" to their ramen. Truly a shop aiming to be the No. 1 in Hakodate.

Hokkaido Wandering Trip 12: A popular shop that also participates in the local product exhibition in Hakodate City, a major city. The menu includes light, rich, salt, soy sauce, and miso flavors with a wide variety to choose from. The shop is located along the national highway in Yunokawa Onsen. Arrived 30 minutes before opening and got a seat. Despite being a weekday, there was a line at opening time and it was immediately full. There is a ticket machine, but for some reason, orders are taken verbally. I ordered the light salt ramen for ¥840. The miso ramen I ordered later was served first, and it took 10 minutes from ordering to serving, even though it was the first order. The clean salt ramen was delicious. It comes with a half-cooked boiled egg by default, which is nice. The soup is chicken-based with plenty of umami and a complex flavor enhanced by aromatic oil and yuzu peel. The supple medium-thin noodles were cooked just right. After finishing the soup, the shop owner's words appear, "That's why it's so popular♪" This was the first ramen I had in Hokkaido and it was very delicious.

It has been 3 years since my last visit. I stopped by after having dinner at the inn and sightseeing at Mount Hakodate. Despite calling for a waiter multiple times, they took a long time to come and the food also took around 30 minutes to arrive after being seated. #Hakodate #YunokawaOnsen #Ramen #SaltRamen #FlavoredEgg #TORIGARA #LightBroth

A shop located in the Yubatake Onsen hotel district. I thought there would be a lot of tourists, but there are overwhelmingly more locals. Even on a Friday night before payday, you can't get a seat right away. Arrive early after ordering. The chashu is tender. I finished the soup too. There are words at the bottom of the bowl. Be careful when entering and exiting the parking lot in front of the store as it faces a busy street.

When it comes to Hakodate, salt ramen is a must-try, so I carefully selected this place based on reviews. In conclusion, I wish I had tried somewhere else. It was tasty, but I don't remember it being anything special. Well, at least I can say I had salt ramen in Hakodate!

I arrived at the restaurant around 1:00 PM on Saturday and was able to enter without waiting in line. There were various options like soy sauce ramen, miso ramen, tantanmen, and tsukemen, but I decided to try the famous salt ramen from Hakodate. The soup had a seafood and Japanese flavor, was light, and very delicious! The yuzu added a nice touch. The tender chashu and thin noodles paired perfectly with the soup. The soup remained warm until the end. It was so tasty that I want to try other ramen dishes as well!

I visited this restaurant during a daytime sightseeing trip in Hakodate. The parking space was not very large, but I was lucky to find a spot. Despite it being lunchtime, I was able to enter smoothly. I ordered the recommended salt ramen. It seems that the miso ramen is also popular. I don't usually eat salt ramen outside of Hakodate, but it was very delicious.

I avoided peak hours and was able to get a meal smoothly, despite reviews saying there would be a line. The overall balance was good, and it was so delicious that I felt like I could eat as much as I wanted. The toppings were a bit expensive, but overall satisfaction was high.

When I visited at lunchtime, there was a line outside the shop. It's a popular place. There were a lot of tourists because it's near Yunokawa Onsen, but locals also came by car. The interior has a counter and table seats, not very spacious. The light salt ramen with a refreshing soup was really delicious, and the aftertaste was clean. The soup is light in color but has a strong flavor. I want to go again.

Hakodate ☀️ Yunosawa During Golden Week, there was a wait for 2 groups at 14:30. The ramen was delicious with a rich taste of both salt and soy sauce. There was fresh garlic and a tool to crush it as a condiment, so I tried changing the flavor just before finishing the meal. Personally, I think it's better as it is.

I went on April 23, 2023 (Saturday). There was a bit of a wait, but the ramen was delicious! My family ordered different types of ramen and they all seemed to enjoy it! You can also choose a half serving of each ramen. (I wasn't sure how to order a half serving from the menu, so I asked the staff and placed my order.) Thank you for the meal!

Located at the edge of the Yuno-kawa Onsen town, with the sea right in front, is Ichimonsan. I visited here as a nightcap after a late night of drinking. After relaxing in the hot springs in Yuno-kawa and indulging in all-you-can-drink during dinner, I took a short rest in my room and then felt a bit hungry. So, I decided to head to Ichimonsan right in front of me! I ordered the salt ramen, which had a light yet flavorful soup. Despite having dinner earlier, it slid down my stomach smoothly.笑

The last meal in Hakodate was, of course, ramen. When it comes to Hakodate, it's all about salt ramen, so I chose that here. I had to wait quite a bit because there were a lot of customers before me, but eventually I was able to sit down as the line cleared up. There were various types of ramen available, but I stuck with the salt ramen. The flavor was stronger than it looked, but the thin noodles paired well with the soup. Even though it wasn't a special menu item, the ramen came with an egg and the chashu was probably homemade, incredibly tender, and seemed to have been seared before serving. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I came to Hakodate and decided to try salt ramen at this restaurant. It was the most delicious ramen I've ever had. Eating this made me start liking straight noodles. The best part was having garlic at the table that I could crush myself. This time I ordered salt ramen, but the wonton also looked delicious, so next time I will try the wonton!

During a business trip to Hakodate, I stayed at a hotel in Yunokawa instead of my usual one. I visited Ichimomo-san, a place I had been curious about, near the hotel around 4:30 PM. It was about 60-70% full. I was unsure of what to order but ended up choosing the standard salt ramen. It was light yet flavorful, with a nice blend of richness and umami. The thin noodles were to my liking. I have meetings at the hotel all day tomorrow, so I wonder if I can come back for lunch again.

There are two types of ramen here, one rich and one light. This time, I ordered the light soup tsukemen. It has a slightly spicy flavor, but even if you don't like spicy food, this taste should be fine. I was able to eat it. The toppings include a half-boiled egg, but since I can't eat eggs, I had it without. The char siu pork is grilled slightly each time. The gyoza has plenty of filling, and I ordered five of them. There is also an option to order three gyoza. Finally, I had the waritsuyu soup separately and finished it all.
