Visited "Juubar" in Iidabashi, a Chinese bar in Kagurazaka. This was my first visit to a Chinese bar, a rare type of establishment for me. Finding Juubar was a bit of a challenge as there was no sign and it was located on the third floor of a building. But once inside, it felt like entering a different world with a stylish counter and a sense of a great dining experience. We sat at the counter and ordered the following dishes in order:
- Juubar Meatballs (880 yen tax included): A specialty dish with a kick of Sichuan pepper and spices, perfect with alcohol or as a standalone dish.
- Let's! Char Siu (1080 yen tax included): Thick slices of flavorful char siu that pairs well with alcohol.
- Plenty of Sesame Boiled Wontons (880 yen tax included): Wontons filled with meat, served with black vinegar sauce and sesame.
- Tomato and Egg Stir-Fry (1180 yen tax included): A simple but delicious dish of egg and tomato stir-fry with Chinese broth.
- Youlin Pork (1380 yen tax included): Crispy pork in a sweet and sour sauce, with a delicious texture and flavor.
- Eggplant and Pork Belly Stir-Fry with Sichuan Pepper (1580 yen tax included): A spicy stir-fry dish with eggplant, pork belly, and Sichuan pepper.
- Cilantro and Chewy Glass Noodle Stir-Fry (1180 yen tax included): A dish of chewy glass noodles with plenty of cilantro, recommended for cilantro lovers.
- Chinese Curry (880 yen tax included): A simple yet flavorful curry cooked in a Chinese wok.
Overall, Juubar offers high-quality Chinese dishes with a creative twist. Each dish was delicious and paired well with alcohol. The service was efficient and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I was highly satisfied with the experience and will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I finally had the chance to visit Juuba, a place that I've been curious about for a while. The restaurant has a counter and table seating, making it suitable for small gatherings. We tried a variety of dishes at the counter, each with a unique twist and a rich flavor that pairs well with drinks. Personally, I really enjoyed the meatballs, vermicelli noodles, and curry for dessert. They have a great selection of drinks as well, making it a great spot for a second round. Overall, I think this place deserves the high ratings and I look forward to visiting again!

Located in a quiet corner of a modest building, this restaurant's interior is quite unexpected from its entrance. The staircase leading up to it lacks any stylish touches, but once you open the door, you'll find a lively yet not too loud atmosphere. It's perfect for a casual date without any pretentiousness. The flavors lean towards a slightly spicy Chinese and Sichuan influence, which may be hit or miss depending on personal taste.

I visited without a reservation around 17:00 on Saturday, and they kindly saved a table for me until 18:45. Everything I ordered was delicious and had a unique touch to it. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the bill was. The famous meatballs had a smooth acidity and a rich flavor of fish sauce and Sichuan pepper, which I regret not ordering one plate for myself. The food was delicious, the service was polite, and the interior of the restaurant was clean. It was a wonderful dining experience, and I definitely want to visit again.

Located quietly on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building along Kagurazaka Street, this Chinese bar is a bit of a secret spot that can be challenging to find even with a map. Most customers who stumble upon it without knowing about it beforehand are not the target audience. I visited at 7:00 PM on a weekday after making a reservation. The stylish and spacious counter seats offer a great view of the kitchen, making it easy to place orders. Reservations seem to be a must, as a few groups were turned away due to the place being fully booked. The atmosphere inside is relaxed, with a mix of customers of all ages and genders. The staff work silently and diligently in contrast. The dishes all feature unique cooking methods and combinations, offering a deliciousness that is hard to find elsewhere. And with most dishes priced around 1,000 yen, it feels like a great deal. As expected from a place with "bar" in its name, the drink menu is extensive. When I saw the bill at the end, I was once again pleased. Overall, it was a strong and satisfying dining experience.

A wonderful creative Chinese restaurant with a cozy hideaway feel. The drinks and dishes have originality and attention to detail, and the atmosphere is not overly pretentious, making it fantastic. The curry comes in half sizes, but it's so delicious that I recommend getting the full size even for a finale. It seems like a great place to come with friends or for a date. I'd love to come back soon if I can get a reservation. They really emphasize the use of Sichuan pepper.

I heard that the Juubar will temporarily close in October due to a rental contract, so I finally visited the restaurant with some friends. Although it was difficult to get a reservation and we could only book a table after 9:30 PM, the food was delicious. We ordered Juubar meatballs, cilantro and potato salad, beef tongue with purple cabbage and tomato in Sichuan pepper sauce, and spicy tripe stew. The flavors were strong and salty, with a hint of fish sauce and Sichuan pepper. Overall, it was a great experience and I would like to visit again before the restaurant closes.

I visited a popular izakaya with a hundred seats. It was quite crowded, as expected of a popular spot! I appreciate that they accept same-day reservations for both a la carte and course meals. The course meal included famous meatballs and curry, which were very satisfying! The beef noodles and yakisoba were also delicious!

The meatballs and sesame dumplings at Juuba were delicious, and the curry with plenty of cilantro and mint at the end was a unique experience that I found addictive. It wasn't exactly my preferred flavor, but it was a wonderful restaurant! We used a private room for 5 people, and the ambiance was also fantastic!

I entered the restaurant before 9 PM without a reservation on a weekday. The menu had changed slightly since my last visit a few months ago. The potato salad was delicious, with eggplant and pork belly stir-fried with green pepper, Sichuan pepper, and rosemary. Ordering around 5 dishes for two people was just the right amount.

First time visiting. Excitement from the entrance of this hidden gem for adults. When I opened the door, the stylish interior was really cozy. Every item on the menu was appealing. The famous meatballs were delicious, and the liver and leek stir-fry was also tasty. Alcohol goes down easily too, haha. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

Cheers with Taiwanese beer. Since it's the second stop, I order a small amount of food. However, when I came to Juuba, I wanted to try the menu I had in mind. The meatballs at Juuba arrived with a strong sour aroma and firm texture. When you bite into them, you can taste a lot of ginger. The boiled wontons with plenty of sesame seeds had a slightly bitter sauce. The pan-fried beef noodles were rich in flavor. Overall, the dishes had a strong taste. The restaurant is not very big, with a cozy atmosphere. It was always crowded, with all seats occupied. The restaurant is located on the second floor, so it's unlikely that random people will walk in, but it was still bustling.

I went to a hidden gem in Kagurazaka near Iidabashi. The atmosphere was amazing! The meatballs were so delicious, they were more like hamburgers. The juicy meat and onion mixed perfectly with the Chinese mountain pepper sauce, giving it a Chinese flavor. The char siu was also delicious, especially when covered in sauce - it went perfectly with beer. I had Suntory's Premium Malt beer here. The stir-fried vermicelli noodles with green onions were also delicious. I think they might have used sakura shrimp as a secret ingredient. The tomato and egg stir-fry was refreshing and easy to eat. I also ordered curry from the Chinese restaurant, which was highly recommended. Delicious!

First visit. Reserved a course meal for 4 people. Although we didn't request a private room, they provided one for us. We were able to relax in a private room for 6 people and had a great time. The food was delicious, especially the meatballs, boiled dumplings, and sweet and sour pork which had good reviews. The course meal was reasonably priced at 3,500 yen. The location is a bit hard to find.

I searched for a good restaurant that stays open late for my second stop, and stumbled upon this place. It's a hidden gem that you wouldn't find just by wandering around. The menu isn't extensive, but everything is delicious and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant, making it a perfect choice for a second stop. I would definitely like to visit again.

I randomly went to Juubar in Kagurazaka around 9:30 pm and was able to get a seat! The meatballs and sesame sauce wontons were as good as always, and the Motsu Mala I ordered for the first time was a huge hit. The combination of Sichuan pepper and coriander added a nice touch, and I was able to finish the soup as well. #Juubar #Kagurazaka #KagurazakaGourmet #Iidabashi #IidabashiGourmet #SaikagohanKagurazaka #SaikagohanIidabashi #SaikagohanTokyo

Order: Juba's meatballs with homemade bacon and aromatic vegetables salad, stir-fried greens and garlic
Sweet and sour pork with sparkling wine
Price: Around 3000 yen per person
Rating: Located a 3-minute walk from Iidabashi Station. Visited on a weekday evening with a reservation. The restaurant was fully booked. There is no sign outside, but once you go up the stairs and open the door, you enter a charming atmosphere. The evaluation is listed above with symbols. The standout dishes were the recommended meatballs by the owner. The combination of fish fragrance and green Sichuan pepper is appetizing. The sweet and sour pork was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I tried using it for a casual dining experience. It was a bit hard to find, located up a hill in Kagurazaka. After navigating through a small mixed-use building and narrow staircase, I finally reached the "seemingly door" which led to an office-like entrance that didn't give away the cozy interior of the restaurant. The place had a nice atmosphere with decent space. I ordered a drink at the bar and was pleasantly surprised to find Kavalan whiskey from Hong Kong available. The meatballs with a hint of sansho pepper were a perfect accompaniment to my drink. Other dishes like century egg with pork and eggplant, garlic-flavored stir-fried greens, spicy tripe stew, and meat dumplings similar to shumai were all delicious, albeit in small portions. It may not be ideal for a hearty dinner, but it's a great spot for a light meal while enjoying drinks. Thank you for the meal!
