This place offers amazing value for money. The food is surprisingly delicious for the price. I was a bit drunk and don't remember much, but I was completely satisfied. It would be nice to sit down if it's your first stop, but the true charm of this place shines through when it's your second or later stop.

Every time I visit, I never get tired of Isami-san! Cheers with canned chu-hi and sashimi platter ♡ The bluefin tuna on this day looks so fresh and delicious!! Definitely a high-quality dish!! With high expectations, I take a bite. It's so delicious!! (;´∀`) Sharing snacks with regular customers I've become friends with, we sip on our drinks. Another day enjoying good drinks. Thank you for the meal.

Ms. Isami at Kanoya is unexpectedly not crowded! Lucky. Cheers with a canned chu-hi and sashimi platter! Having a fun time drinking and laughing with regular customers, the owner kindly offers some mantis shrimp as a gift. I used to dislike mantis shrimp, so I was nervous, but when I tried it, it was delicious!!! As expected, anything you eat at Isami is delicious!! On this day, the oysters were extra-large! I couldn't finish them in one bite. The rich oysters make me want to eat about 5 of them. I won't do that for the sake of other customers (;´∀`) The meal ends with eel rolls, and I am completely satisfied again! Thank you for the meal.

During the Obon period, I thought it wouldn't be crowded, but it was actually quite busy haha. Luckily, I managed to get a seat right as someone was leaving. The sashimi platter that day (sorry, it's half-eaten in the picture) had herring which was delicious and fatty! It was boneless and easy to eat. I was a bit hungry, so I ordered shrimp, thinking it would be sushi, but it turned out to be a snack haha. I think the chef saw me as more of a drinker than an eater, which made me happy. Even though I wasn't very full, I ordered some salted fish eggs. They were incredibly tasty! The fish eggs made me drink my alcohol much faster, but since they only serve canned chu-hi here, I managed to control myself. I paid the bill and left. Thank you for the meal.

When I peeked in at the restaurant late at night, to my surprise, it was empty! So lucky! My usual drink was served, and I ordered a sashimi platter. On the whiteboard, it said "Oyster Ponzu." I made a mental note to order it next time! Tonight, I enjoyed delicious fish and drinks while bantering with the regular customers and the chef. After about an hour, the regular customers started to arrive, and before I knew it, the place was packed. The conversation kept flowing, and I ended up staying for over two hours. Even though it's a standing bar, I completely forgot to order the oysters. But when I saw other regulars enjoying them, I quickly ordered some. They were huge and flavorful! And only 300 yen, what a steal! I also enjoyed various other snacks and drinks, and ended up quite drunk. It was a satisfying feast! Now, off to the next place! Thank you for the meal!

It's been about a month since I last visited Isami-san. I managed to squeeze into the last available space and enjoy some delicious fish this day. I started with the sashimi platter, which was quite voluminous for 1,100 yen. I'm not a fan of tuna, but I can eat it deliciously here. Next, I joined in on the nuta that someone else ordered. It had tuna and octopus, similar to the sashimi platter, but eating it with vinegar miso was also good. The seaweed was a nice touch (*´ω`*). Finally, I finished with the rolled sushi with minced tuna. It's usually hand-rolled, but they accommodated with a rolled version. I'm full and pleasantly tipsy tonight, heading to the second bar. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a restaurant that had the best value for money according to the internet. I accidentally arrived early and passed the time by trying out massage chairs at Bic Camera. I got to the restaurant around 5:15 PM, before it opened at 6 PM, and joined the line behind the first person. Around 5:50 PM, I entered the restaurant and ordered a black label beer. I indulged in a sashimi platter and plenty of sushi, including delicious red clam, scallop, medium fatty tuna, horse mackerel, and conger eel. A sumo wrestler came in while I was eating and left after a quick meal, which was a bit sad to see. I had a lot of white mist highballs, so the bill ended up being quite high at 9,000 yen. Despite the rain that day leading to fewer customers, the sushi was very satisfying and worth the trip from Shonan. It seems the restaurant is usually packed with regulars, so be cautious when planning a visit. I plan to go back again this month. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I always visit on weekday nights, but this time it was Saturday at 6pm. According to the information on Tabelog, Saturdays are irregular holidays, so I went with hope in my heart and... the sign was lit up!! (*‘∀‘) Yay! However, it was almost full...! I asked the chef if we could be seated as a last resort, and he asked everyone to make room for us, so we were able to get in! Thank you...! It was our second stop, so we ordered two servings of sashimi platter, one omakase sushi set for each of us. The food was reliably delicious and my friends who came for the first time were satisfied♡ We stayed for about an hour, and more customers came in than those who left, and we were already full, so it was time to pay! Even though we didn't eat and drink much, the bill was surprisingly cheap, less than 2000 yen per person (;´∀`) I feel bad for staying for an hour...! I should have given a drink offering to the chef, I should have done more haha. Thank you for the meal.

Located near the entrance of the Higashikoji drinking and dining district in Oimachi, there is a standing sushi restaurant. This small restaurant can only seat about 6 people, making it quickly fill up when busy. The concept is to provide high-quality sushi at a reasonable price in a standing setting, giving off a deep and authentic Oimachi vibe. The reviewer visited this restaurant after returning from the US and enjoyed a variety of sushi dishes along with beer and sake. The quality of the sushi was impressive, with fresh and generous cuts of fish. The reviewer found the prices reasonable given the quality of the food and enjoyed the experience of dining at this popular spot.

When I entered Higashikoji to visit Toritaka-san, I noticed that there was an empty seat at Isami-san's shop! It sucked me in haha. I greeted some familiar faces and they recommended the scallops today. I obediently ordered the scallops and some ark shells too! I enjoyed my meal while joining in the conversation between the chef and the regular customers. Oh, I'm starting to have so much fun! I added some squid legs, they were huge! I watched as the regular customers came and went, thinking I still want to drink a little more... I tried some salted fish eggs that the person next to me ordered, along with some sake. It was just amazing...! Ended the night with some mackerel wrapped in green onions. Thank you for the feast. It was another fantastic evening!

After going to the butcher's for some meat, I had sushi at a standing sushi bar loved by the locals. The master, who I thought was unfriendly, turned out to be a wonderful person who smiled and chatted with regular customers. The chu-hai and beer come in cans, which is nice. I spent around 3000 yen for food and drinks.

We visited as a rare pair this time. As always, we were served my drink promptly, and we had the omakase nigiri (1 serving), firefly squid (appetizer), scallop strings (appetizer), and horse mackerel liver on top (nigiri). We also had the mackerel and green onion roll. The firefly squid is carefully prepared one by one after receiving the order. The horse mackerel liver is rich and a must-order item. With two drinks each, it came to just over 4000 yen, so we saved quite a bit compared to usual. Another satisfying night at Isami Sushi. Thank you for the meal.

Located just off Higashi-koji Street in Oi-machi, this place is always my first choice when deciding where to drink. It's a popular spot and I like to challenge myself to see if I can get a table. Usually, it's full and I end up failing the challenge. But on this day, I saw on Instagram that they were open, so I took a chance even though I was already full. And to my surprise, I succeeded! It had been about 3 months since my last visit. From the board menu, I ordered the kawahagi (with liver) and hotate mirugai as snacks. The usual drink automatically appeared in front of me. Everything was delicious, but the mirugai was especially impressive! I was so happy to be there. Finally, I had the sabanegi maki and it was a feast! I will definitely be back for another challenge. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was drawn to this place with a fantastic atmosphere! This is the third stop on my drinking tour in Oimachi. The exterior wiring looks a bit chaotic. The interior of the restaurant is very cramped, and a grumpy middle-aged man in a soccer uniform will quickly make sushi for you while puffing on an e-cigarette (what a sight, haha). Sushi can be quite disappointing if the rice isn't to your liking, but the rice here is delicious. The sushi is expertly made, and it just melts in your mouth. They make the sushi quickly, the pieces are small, so you can easily keep eating. Even if you're not very hungry, you can enjoy a variety of sushi for a nice finish to your drinks. The sushi pairs perfectly with the sake. It's hard to know when to stop eating here, haha. I tried a shrimp sushi with blue eggs, a battleship sushi with cod milt (first time trying this, the creamy cod milt and thick seaweed were amazing), a kawahagi liver topping, a tangy konowata typical of the downtown area, a fresh and chewy mackerel, horse mackerel, squid, and fatty tuna roll... I didn't pay for this time, so I'm not sure how much it would cost if you eat like this, haha. But having sushi here as a finish to a drinking tour in Oimachi is enviable. It was a fun and delicious experience at this place. Next time I'm in Oimachi, I want to try new places and finish with sushi here, haha. Thank you for the meal!

It's always crowded and hard to get in here. I asked anyway and surprisingly got a seat. Cheers with a highball first! Served without ice in a can and glass, so it stays strong (laughs). Assorted sashimi with tuna, yellowtail, sardine, saury, and octopus. The sardine was delicious with a nice fatty taste. Next, some nigiri... Small squid salad. The squid was chewy and tasty. Hand-rolled salmon roe. I like salmon roe. Burdock roll. Delicious. This is a good snack. Nori rolls go well with alcohol, right? Another highball. Drank it quickly and moved on to the next place. The chef is working alone but is quick and efficient with the service. This time was short, but next time, I want to order more nigiri. Thank you for the meal.

Concluding my stroll in Oimachi, I visited Isami Sushi again. The small restaurant was crowded with tough-looking regular customers, making it difficult to place an order. The master, dressed in a soccer uniform as usual, seemed preoccupied with the soccer match on TV. Despite the lack of confirmation, the sushi was served promptly, giving some relief. I ordered the fatty tuna and sweet shrimp, which were delicious. The sushi mainly consisted of oily toppings, with the herring sushi being particularly flavorful and thick. Next to me, a man who seemed to work in the nightlife industry was engaged in lively conversation with the master. Later, a middle-aged couple joined in, and the man started speaking loudly to the woman, signaling the end of my visit. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. There was no offering of cuttlefish for 30 yen this time.

I arrived at the standing sushi bar "Isami Sushi" that was introduced on the whiteboard in the shared space of the satellite office "Jizai Oimachi 2" before 6 pm. When I visited the restaurant, I had already decided on the sushi I wanted to order after taking a photo of the whiteboard in front of the restaurant during lunch at the Higashikojiro dining area. When I told the master all the sushi I wanted in one go, he advised me to limit it to about three types at a time. As a result, I ended up ordering uni, toro, hamachi, ebi, thickly grilled sushi, and geso, along with a canned beer. I was surprised when each type of sushi was served in pairs instead of one at a time. I ended up not ordering some of the items I had planned to, but the bill was more than double what I had calculated. The sushi, such as uni, hamachi, thickly grilled sushi, and geso, was good, but I felt that the quality was better at the revolving sushi restaurant near my home, even though it was not as luxurious.

Today, I decided to end the day here. After having a drink nearby, I thought I'd stop by for some sushi to take home. This small shop is located in a narrow alley with izakayas. It opens at 6 pm and I arrived just before 6:30 pm. The shop only has a counter and it's not particularly clean, but it's popular for its reasonably priced standing sushi. During my 30-minute stay, the place was packed with 2-3 groups waiting to get in. I decided to go for the omakase option. The owner seemed a bit grumpy, but was normal when talking to regulars. They serve beer and highballs in cans. I asked for oolong tea, but they didn't have it, so I settled for warm tea. The omakase nigiri set for 1,500 yen included shrimp, mackerel, yellowtail, bonito, lean tuna, red meat, mantis shrimp, scallop, squid, and bonito belly. The rice was warm with a slightly chewy texture and the freshness of the toppings was good. The mackerel and mantis shrimp from Kanagawa Prefecture were particularly delicious. The portion size was good for the price. I also tried a single piece of sea eel liver for 180 yen, which was the highlight of the meal with its moist texture and rich flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I skipped the popular 30 yen squid legs due to stomach constraints. This kind of place is great for casually bringing friends along.

Although I was curious, I couldn't get in because this shop was always crowded. It only has a counter and can fit about 6 people. Sometimes you have to muster up the courage to enter and call out to be allowed in. If you wait outside, you may not be called, so you have to be proactive. The chef seems a bit intimidating, but if you order, he will listen. However, if you say everything at once, he might get mad. Honestly, there was a huge difference in taste between the delicious and not-so-delicious sushi. The shrimp and sea urchin were really delicious. The rice was small and not too vinegary. I prefer rice with a strong vinegar taste, so I found it lacking. I had about 24 pieces and ended up paying more than I expected. I wanted to pay around 3,000 yen, but it ended up being around 4,500 yen. So, it's not as cheap as you might think! The squid legs are incredibly cheap, so I recommend ordering them. I didn't like that the chef was smoking an electronic cigarette. I hate smoking, so that bothered me. But it's my fault for going without knowing, so for those who plan to go, please be aware.

After a series of twists and turns, I finally managed to get into Isami Sushi, the place I was aiming for. The restaurant was so packed that it was standing room only with 6 people inside. There were a young couple, a group of two young men, and a big, tough-looking man as customers. I somehow squeezed in between the young man and the tough man to get a seat. The tough man seemed to be a regular customer, chatting with the sushi chef about fishing. The chef would take a break after making sushi and smoke a cigarette inside the restaurant. In the midst of all this, I ordered a highball, squid, conger eel, and yellowtail. The sushi came in pairs, with small portions of rice, perfect for snacking while drinking. The soy sauce on the table had been simmered down to a rich flavor. The squid was only 30 yen, but the quality was good. The conger eel had a perfect balance of vinegar, refreshing and light. The yellowtail and squid were both fatty and delicious. The conger eel had a thick glaze of sauce, making it a mammoth piece. The flesh was tender and melted in the mouth along with the rice. I stayed for about 25 minutes and then finished my meal. I paid with two thousand yen bills and received my change. I would recommend this place for a standing date.
