You can enjoy a variety of skewers and exquisite dishes at Hakata Kushiyaki Ippon. The quality of Hakata skewers here is truly unmatched. You don't have to go to Roppongi or Shibuya, you can enjoy them in Machida, which is really convenient. I highly recommend everyone to try it out! Especially if you're in a good mood! The master and staff are very cheerful and energetic, you'll definitely feel uplifted. Even if you're dining alone, you won't feel bored at all. For just 350 yen, you get a free refill of cabbage and 3 small side dishes! It's so generous! Moreover, I had two celebrations, so I received 2 extra dishes for free, a total of 5 dishes! Unbelievable! Each dish has a unique flavor and is incredibly delicious! This time, I tried the autumn menu with a skewer of mushrooms wrapped in saury for 400 yen, and a skewer of persimmon cream cheese for 350 yen. Both were exquisite and really captured the essence of autumn. The saury was perfectly grilled, and the persimmon had the right amount of firmness, blending well with the cheese. The lettuce cheese skewer with pork belly is also a favorite of mine. The crispiness of the lettuce, the gooey cheese, and the juicy pork belly make a perfect combination. The Sukiyaki skewer for 500 yen is a classic! It's impossible not to enjoy it with the egg yolk, enoki mushrooms, and spring onions. It's a hearty and satisfying dish. I also received a complimentary smoked cheese, which was a great snack! It was delicious! I actually ordered the Gorgonzola honey, but before that, they prepared a cheese for me, anticipating that I love cheese. That level of consideration was truly appreciated! The Gorgonzola honey with tortilla and honey is a must-try for cheese lovers. It's a great dessert option as well! And finally, the Umaki was a luxurious treat with a harmonious blend of meat and eel fat. It has a rich flavor. When you settle the bill, you can choose between a complimentary ice cream or miso soup! Since it was cold, I chose the miso soup to warm up. It was delightful! The service at this place is amazing, and you can enjoy delicious Hakata skewers with a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I went to Ichippon, a Hakata-style yakitori restaurant in Machida, with a friend who recommended it. I originally liked Joymon in Roppongi, so I was excited to try Ichippon since they are from the same lineage. We arrived slightly early for the opening time but were able to make a reservation. It was nice to be seated at the counter right in front of the grilling station. They had skewers lined up in a showcase and also recommended skewers served in a bucket. The white liver was cooked at a low temperature and delicious. The skewers were also tasty and served hot. The sesame mackerel was a favorite of mine, and the spicy noodles for the finishing touch were also great. Ichippon did not disappoint as it stayed true to the Joymon legacy. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Happy 2nd anniversary on June 12, 2023! I visited after a long time! I arrived at the counter alone on Wednesday after 6 pm. I started with a draft beer! The appetizer was cabbage and three small dishes. The small dishes were cucumber and okra with plum dressing, tomato and zucchini marinated, and sautéed burdock root! I was happy with the vegetables. For the main dish, I ordered shiso pork rolls for 350 yen and bamboo shoot pork rolls for 400 yen. They were juicy and delicious without being too heavy! I wish I could have eaten more if I wasn't on a diet. When I offered a drink to each of the staff members, they kindly gave me asparagus rolls as a thank you gift! I appreciate this kind gesture. I had two chu-hi drinks, and the total bill was around 5,000 yen. Thank you for the meal!

Delicious skewers with a variety of options and a solid texture. This was my fifth time here, I think. You can enjoy eating comfortably at a table or at the counter. The central counter has the grill right in front of you, so it can get a little hot, haha. The number of seats is not that many, so it's better to make a reservation even on the day.

I visited the restaurant after being recommended by a friend. I almost passed by it, but I'm glad I didn't. The grilled skewers were not too heavy and easy to eat. The yakisoba meat roll with pickled ginger on top was a strange but delicious skewer. It's surprising but tasty. It's not common to find a place where you can have ramen as a final dish at an izakaya.

I'm sorry I don't have a photo of the delicious skewers, but they were really tasty! Especially the simple salt-grilled Sakura beef was amazing. The skewers overall were high quality, and the thick and juicy ham cutlet we ordered on the side was also great. The staff seemed friendly. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that all the staff members were not wearing masks. Again, the food was excellent.

I thought I was in front of an eel restaurant, but where is it?! The chicken thigh was delicious!!! I also had liver, soft boiled egg, lettuce, etc. Is it just by chance?! The staff were all guys, but they were very attentive, so there were a lot of girls in the restaurant! I want to go back to eat chicken thighs again!

It is located in a small alley a short walk from Machida Station. You might get a little lost at first (especially if you're directionally challenged like me haha), but once you enter the alley, you'll see a nice exterior! The cabbage and konjac appetizers are delicious! A place with delicious appetizers is always a good sign! I ordered chicken tenderloin, liver, thigh, quail wrapped in pork belly, and a yakisoba skewer that caught my eye. I had the chicken tenderloin, liver, and thigh with salt! They are grilled over charcoal right in front of you, so the smell is amazing and really builds your appetite. The quail wrapped in pork belly was also delicious! The yakisoba that I was curious about was neatly wrapped in pork belly. It was incredibly tasty, so I highly recommend trying it! I also ordered some shrimp as an extra, and the shrimp with plenty of tartar sauce was juicy and very delicious! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very nice.

Celebrating the 6th anniversary of the restaurant with 100 yen drinks like draft beer, highball, and green gin! We made a reservation for two at 9 pm and headed there. The draft beer was a steal at 100 yen. The cabbage appetizer was free-flowing and the three side dishes were delicious. My favorite was the crunchy cartilage with wasabi. For food, we ordered Zabuton x2 for 500 yen each, Unatama x3 for 400 yen each, Pork belly and lotus root rolls for 350 yen, Pork belly and shiso rolls for 350 yen, Eggplant miso for 350 yen, and Gorgonzola honey for 350 yen. The Unatama was amazing, juicy and a perfect combination of eel, egg, and pork belly. We initially ordered one each but ended up getting an extra one. The manager already knows I'm a "Unatama lover" and offered it before we even decided. The Gorgonzola honey was a new taste for me, sweet and salty with a nice kick from the Gorgonzola, and the crunchy texture of the tortilla was interesting and delicious. We had 5 draft beers and 5 highballs between the two of us, and the total bill was 5500 yen. The service was great and we had a pleasant drinking experience. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to drink alcohol in Machida and found this restaurant with low ratings on Tabelog but very good reviews. I wish I had found this place sooner, it was that good. The menu items I had this time were: - Goma Kanpachi (980 yen) - Unatama (one for 350 yen) - Momo (one for 250 yen) - Hatsu (one for 200 yen) - Shiso (one for 350 yen) - Man Negi (one for 400 yen) - Yanaka ginger (two for 300 yen) - Avocado Cheese (one for 400 yen) - Beef Sagari (one for 450 yen) - Potato fry (780 yen) Everything was delicious, but I want to highlight the Goma Kanpachi and Unatama. The Goma Kanpachi had a lot of condiments which I personally loved. For those who enjoy condiments, this is a treat. The Kanpachi itself was quite fatty, but the condiments made it refreshing and easy to keep eating, making it hard to stop with the alcohol flowing. Even with extra wasabi, I didn't feel the spiciness, so I think the fatty texture is excellent. Next is the Unatama, which is obviously delicious. Eel and egg wrapped in pork belly is bound to be tasty. What's amazing is the price - considering the amount of eel, it could easily be more expensive, but at 350 yen per piece, it's very reasonable. Both the price and taste are fantastic. All the skewers here are quite large, so it's better to be cautious not to order too much! I highly recommend this place, so if you're in Machida, definitely give it a try!

I heard good reviews and quickly made a reservation on Tabelog. I arrived earlier than the opening time, but the staff kindly let me wait inside. They explained the recommended menu and all the grilled skewers, and we started with a cold beer and a stylish appetizer. I ordered the recommended chicken thigh tartare and a selection of 7 skewers, and enjoyed them with a highball while waiting for them to be grilled. The chicken tartare was chewy and flavorful, and it was even better with a little more seaweed. All the skewers, including the harami, were delicious, but the avocado cheese and scallion skewers were outstanding. I would like to visit this restaurant again soon. Thank you for the meal.

I used it after work. It is about a 5-minute walk from Machida Station. There are no typical large signboards or conspicuous signs often seen in izakayas, making the location of the shop slightly difficult to find, but the elegant atmosphere at the storefront is very impressive. The interior of the shop is small with both table and counter seats, accommodating no more than 30 people, creating a calm atmosphere. There are many types of skewers, such as yakitori, pork belly, beef skewers, etc. I ordered pork belly, chicken thigh, seseri, heart, quail egg wrapped in pork belly, shrimp with shiso, and tomato skewers that caught my eye. I also ordered horse sashimi. Cheers with beer! I tried a type of beer called Suntory Master's Dream, which is not often heard of. The fine bubbles and richness were delicious. I had the horse sashimi with recommended dipping soy sauce with green onions and garlic. I didn't feel a strong unique smell, and the combination with the dipping soy sauce was good, with a good flavor. The skewer dishes kept coming. The yakitori had a slightly strong salty taste, but the texture and juiciness of the chicken meat were very good. Especially the seseri had a memorable texture, so I highly recommend it. The tomato wrapped in pork belly had a good balance of the sweetness of the tomato and the sweetness of the pork belly, which was also delicious! Overall, the skewers were of high quality, so I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity. Thank you for the meal!

I heard that you can do a sake tasting here! This time, I just had a light meal because I had already eaten a lot at the first place, but I want to come back and properly enjoy it next time! I hadn't eaten properly until lunchtime on February 11, 2022, and I was hungry~! So I went to this place. Around 6:30 pm, I didn't have a reservation but managed to get a table. Cheers with a lemon sour and a highball! The appetizer was a refillable cabbage and a 3-kind platter! The spicy konjac and garlic-flavored carrots were delicious♪ For dishes, we ordered the following: Grilled pork belly wrapped with eel and egg (350 yen x 2), Sakura beef spicy mapo tofu (680 yen), Sand liver (200 yen), Chicken tenderloin (250 yen), Chicken cartilage (200 yen), Chicken neck meat (250 yen), Beef kalbi (450 yen). I repeated the delicious grilled pork belly wrapped with eel and egg that I had last time! It's still delicious~♪ The combination of eel, egg, and pork belly is excellent! And the sauce is not too sweet and delicious...! The spicy mapo tofu that I was curious about from Instagram was spicy for me, but the aroma of chili peppers was good and tasty! The tofu was thick-fried tofu! The beef was also tender and flavorful from being stewed♪ I asked for the cilantro to be served on a separate plate. All the skewers are delicious, so I highly recommend trying them! I particularly liked the fluffy chicken tenderloin and the sweet fatty beef kalbi! They also gave me a complimentary chicken thigh and skin! I had about 4 drinks per person and the total bill was around 8,000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Opened in June last year, this is a Hakata-style grilled skewers restaurant! I tried to visit without a reservation around October, but it was fully booked, so I managed to get a table by contacting them on the same day. The clean and stylish interior of the restaurant gives the impression that they will serve delicious dishes. First, I toasted with a draft beer (Masters Dream for 680 yen)! It's quite rare to have Masters Dream as a draft beer. The complimentary cabbage is refillable, and they also served a complimentary appetizer platter with three dishes: potato namul, dried radish, and pickled turnip. The dried radish with dashi flavor was delicious. For the dishes, I ordered the Seafood Potato Salad with Ankimo (monkfish liver) for 780 yen. The salad had tatami iwashi (dried baby sardines) sticking out, but luckily it was not finely chopped, which I appreciated as I'm not a fan of shirasu (baby sardines). The potato salad with crab miso sauce made me crave for sake as mentioned in the menu! So, I requested a sake tasting set (1380 yen). The special junmai sake from Imada was particularly delicious! The Goma Kanpachi for 980 yen was thickly sliced and had a surprisingly refreshing flavor with plenty of garnishes. The Unatama Maki for 350 yen each was absolutely amazing! The texture was so juicy and the scent of sansho pepper was delightful. I can't wait to have it again! The Omakase set of 7 skewers for 1800 yen was customized with avocado cheese. Starting from the flavorful zabuton, the pork belly was not too fatty, and the chicken thigh was tender... everything was delicious! I had a lemon sour, while my companion had a plum sour (not on the menu) for 3-4 glasses each, and the total bill was around 12,000 yen. For dessert, we chose between a mandarin orange and miso soup, and we chose the mandarin orange, which was cute and small. Everything we ate that day was delicious, so I would love to try other items on the menu. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

A certain alley in Machida. A new restaurant called "Hakata Kushiyaki Ippon" has opened on this street where you can enjoy food and drinks. The spot had been vacant for a while, so I was curious about what kind of restaurant would open there. On the last weekend of June, I visited with a friend. At their request, we sat at the special seat in front of the grill to enjoy our meal. When you hear "Hakata Kushiyaki," you might think of a place like "Goryon-san" in Tokyo, where you can enjoy skewers of pork belly and various vegetables wrapped in sauce. According to the owner, they also offer skewers made with specialty "Abekodori" chicken from Iwate Prefecture and A5 grade "Sakura beef" from Kyushu, providing a variety of grilled items. We started with a toast and then ordered a selection of skewers. There were so many options to choose from, so we decided to go with the chef's choice of 7 skewers. - Chef's choice of 7 skewers: 1. Sirloin: Packed with flavor and delicious. 2. Chicken liver: Grilled to perfection with a nice texture. 3. Chicken thigh meat: Simple but tasty. 4. Pork belly: Juicy and flavorful. 5. Sukiyaki: Beef wrapped with enoki mushrooms and chrysanthemum leaves. Dip in egg yolk to enjoy. 6. Tsukune: Salt-flavored tsukune with a satisfying texture. 7. Ginkgo nuts: A rare treat that was surprisingly delicious. We also tried some other dishes that showcased the flavors of Kyushu. Overall, the restaurant focuses on quality rather than low prices. There were various types of skewers and they were delicious. The zubuton (beef) skewer is especially recommended! You shouldn't miss it! The fried yam with tartar sauce was also delicious. The tartar sauce that came with it had a Japanese-style taste which was great. I was satisfied with every dish! The staff were all polite and the atmosphere was nice! The drinks were also delicious and I was completely satisfied! I want to go again! I'm already thinking about what to eat next time! I also want to hear recommendations from other people!

I made a reservation on Tabelog for Friday at 7:00 PM and visited the restaurant. The staff were attentive, the restroom was very clean, and the charcoal fire for grilling was perfect, resulting in delicious food. The sesame amberjack was especially amazing. My friend who had just returned from overseas was pleasantly surprised. I definitely want to go back again.
