Visited "Takayama Coffee" in Awajicho. It is a popular cafe established in 1994 in Awajicho. Every time I have visited this place, I have been turned away by the long line in front of the store. Today, I had some time as I had business in Kanda, so I decided to take a look, and to my surprise, there was no line! I entered the store through the lush green entrance and found one empty seat. Feeling lucky, I entered without hesitation. The interior had a calming atmosphere, with soothing background music playing. A friendly staff member handed me the menu, and I placed my order. Here is what I ordered:
- New York Cheesecake (550 yen tax included): A New York Cheesecake with plenty of whipped cream elegantly presented on the plate. It looked beautiful, and when I took a bite, the creamy cheese and rich whipped cream paired perfectly. A very delicious cheesecake.
- Blage Blend (600 yen tax included): Each cafe has its own unique blend of coffee. This blend had a well-balanced acidity, and personally, I really enjoyed it. It paired well with the New York Cheesecake. Both items were delicious. The option to order a refill of the blend for 250 yen (tax included) was available, but due to time constraints, I did not order it this time. Overall, I found this to be a very nice cafe, with a great ambiance and friendly staff. Payment is cash only, and the total for the cake set I ordered was 1000 yen (tax included), which made me quite happy. It was very delicious. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

High in between Ogawamachi and Kanda, just off Yasukuni Street, surrounded by greenery, is the cozy cafe High Mountain Coffee. Inside, the space is illuminated by soft lighting and adorned with potted plants, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The cafe offers two original coffee blends chosen by the owner: the mild Plage and the rich Mael. On this visit, I enjoyed the Plage with a generous serving of whipped cream on thick slices of cinnamon toast. I look forward to returning to this charming cafe. Thank you for the meal. Business hours are limited to Monday to Thursday, closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays.

I fell in love with a cafe... I love it too much... It's so painful... (I couldn't help it, I really wanted to go to Takayama Coffee in Kanda, so I took a day off and went there the other day! I think it might be my favorite place in Tokyo now. That wonderful atmosphere. I arrived around 12:30 and waited for about 20 minutes before being seated. The exterior of the shop feels like an oasis suddenly appearing in the building district of Kanda, with a great atmosphere. Inside, it's dark with indirect lighting giving a warm glow. It's calm, and while no one is speaking loudly, it's not uncomfortably quiet either, everyone seems relaxed. The staff are very friendly and welcomed me with a smile. I was seated at the counter. The tables are nice too, but the counter seats are the best when you're alone. It's amazing... so calming... the lighting is lovely... I heard the cheesecake is delicious, but I went for my favorite, cinnamon toast...! When it arrived, I was surprised. It's a huge portion... thick slices of toast generously covered in cinnamon, with lots of whipped cream on the side. I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" It was delicious. They really put effort into making it. I also ordered a mild coffee, and it had a smooth taste and was very delicious. Everything is well-balanced, a delicious coffee that I would like to savor black. Truly, is this heaven? It's like a cafe in heaven haha It's a bit challenging that they're not open on my days off, but I want to take another day off and come here on a weekday! It has become my stress-free haven haha And I highly recommend coming here alone! Of course, it's fun with friends too, but personally, I strongly recommend this as a great place to visit alone.)

This is a popular old-fashioned café where you write your name and wait for your turn. Despite being an old-fashioned café, it was nice to see that it is non-smoking. The place is old but clean and cozy. I ordered a cheesecake and a café au lait glacé. The cheesecake was much bigger than I had imagined from the picture! It had a lot of cream, so the cake itself seemed small, but it was actually quite large. It was a traditional baked cheesecake, not the modern Basque style, and it had a nostalgic taste that I enjoyed. After paying the bill, the master who had been cooking in the back for a long time thanked us very politely, and I understood why this place is so popular. I definitely want to go back again.

After eating curry, I headed to this place nearby. I had a rough idea of its location on the map and found it a bit tricky to locate as there were some plant pots in front of the shop that partially obscured it. When I arrived, it was full so I signed in and waited. Surprisingly, the turnover was quite fast, and I was able to enter after about 5 minutes. The place continued to be busy, but everyone seemed to be seated fairly quickly. The service from the waitress was cheerful and very likable. I ordered a slice of rare cheesecake and a cafe au lait, which cost 1050 yen. The interior of the shop was dimly lit, even during the day, but it was cozy enough to read comfortably. The set was brought to me in about 5 minutes. I'm not a big coffee fan, but they also had Irish coffee on the menu, which I wanted to try, but this time I went with iced cafe au lait. The rare cheesecake had a firm texture, not the melt-in-your-mouth type. The cream with Cointreau served alongside was delicious. It was probably high in calories, but I didn't want to waste it, so I finished it all. The atmosphere was really nice, so next time I'll try the Irish coffee.

I arrived at the shop around 8:10 on a regular day. As I entered through the entrance covered with plants, the atmosphere inside was dimly lit with jazz music playing, creating a great ambiance. Behind the counter at the back of the shop, there was a man who seemed to be the cool shop owner. A young female staff member brought the menu and guided me to a table near the entrance. There were many coffee options on the menu, but I ordered the cake set for 1050 yen (cheesecake and iced café au lait). It was served in about 5 minutes. I put cream on the cheesecake and took a bite with a fork - it was sweet, without any strong taste, and delicious. The café au lait had a beautiful gradient of white and coffee colors, rich and aromatic, and it was also very good. It was a fantastic café with a great atmosphere, and both the coffee and cake were incredibly delicious.

In 2021 and 2022, a list of the top 100 cafes. On a weekday evening, there was one group waiting outside. I was lucky to enter right away as it was their turn and I was the only one waiting. The interior of the cafe was a bit dark, with seating available on the first and second floors. I ordered the "Plage" coffee blend and the New York cheesecake (homemade). The "Plage" coffee was a mild blend with a slight acidity, while the New York cheesecake was rich and creamy, with more cream than cake. The cheesecake was described as being baked in a water bath. The combination of the rich cheesecake and the coffee was excellent. Since there were others waiting to enter, it's best not to linger too long in this cozy cafe.

I had some time on my way from Kanda Station to Jimbocho, so I decided to relax and have a nice time at a lovely cafe. It was selected as one of the top 100 shops, and seeing the handwritten words of joy and gratitude framed on the wall was very impressive to me. It conveyed the kindness and elegance of the staff, which was wonderful. As I ventured a little further, I found charming shops and a mix of old-fashioned and modern buildings lining the streets. This area in the heart of Tokyo has a rich history, with old and new coexisting beautifully. I visited Takayama Coffee, which opened in 1994, around 12:20 pm. It was quite crowded, but I managed to find a seat just as one became available. I ordered a cake set, which included coffee and New York cheesecake with a generous dollop of whipped cream. The combination was perfect, and for 1000 yen, I enjoyed the carefully selected coffee and homemade cheesecake. The plates were from Wedgwood, a British company established in 1759, adding to the charming atmosphere of the cafe. The smooth, rich cheesecake with just the right amount of sweetness paired wonderfully with the aromatic, deep coffee, creating a truly relaxing and delightful experience. I look forward to visiting again when I have the time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

A café in the middle of a business district that feels like an oasis. The owner looks just like a café owner, and the staff are very polite and likeable. Their toast and cakes seem to be popular, but I was full so I just had coffee. The coffee I ordered was great, with a slightly bitter taste just how I like it. Plus, the cup was really cute. Drinking coffee in a cozy atmosphere with a nice cup is pure bliss. I want to try their cinnamon toast next time.

A quietly standing coffee shop in a place where working people come and go. Stylish interior, a reserved master craftsman. What else could be needed? The homemade cheesecake was rich and delicious. Depending on my mood, I ordered a hot dog. The bittersweet coffee hidden under the sweet cream could have been good even black. It was a very cozy coffee shop.

I visited the café in the afternoon. I had cinnamon toast and iced coffee, which served as a light meal. The atmosphere of the café was reminiscent of a traditional coffee shop, with a calming ambience. The soft jazz music playing in the background was a perfect match for the setting. The cinnamon toast came with apple juice, a nice touch of service. The thick slices of toast covered in cinnamon sugar, topped with whipped cream, were delicious. The bread was soft, and the combination of cinnamon's spiciness and sweetness was perfect. It felt like I was indulging in a cake. The portion was generous, so it felt like a satisfying meal. The iced coffee was mild with a hint of bitterness, which paired well with the cinnamon toast.

A popular café with a nice atmosphere known for its homemade cakes and sandwiches. It is only open on weekdays, and when I visited at 11:50 am, there was only enough space for one group. The entrance, hidden in an alley like a forest, leads to a cozy but somewhat slow-paced interior. The dimly lit and well-maintained atmosphere inside is excellent. I ordered a set with their homemade New York cheesecake, which comes with a mild coffee called "Blanc." The cheesecake is decorated with a touch of whipped cream around the edges, giving it a lovely appearance. The taste was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's a quiet morning before lunch in the back alley. Surprisingly, there is a café here! Upon entering, I was surprised again by the lovely atmosphere inside. The dimly lit interior gives off a hidden, adult café vibe. Another surprise was the beautiful plant pots on each table. The café owner seems to love greenery. I ordered the cake set for 1,050 yen. The set included an iced café au lait and a homemade New York cheesecake. The iced coffee was delicious with a perfect balance of bitterness and acidity. The cheesecake was not only beautifully presented but also very tasty. What a wonderful café! It feels like my heart is being healed. Thank you for the meal!

There were orders for cake sets, cinnamon toast, sandwiches, and various other items. I imagine that all the menu items are delicious. Due to the atmosphere inside the restaurant, there were no loud voices, and we were able to quietly enjoy our coffee. Payment is cash only.

A small café located between Akihabara and Kanda. The seating is limited, and the atmosphere inside is relaxed, with time flowing slowly. During lunchtime, there were salarymen visiting. Both the coffee and light meals were delicious, and the menu includes information on the origin, brewing methods, and flavors of the coffee and tea, which is very helpful. They have a 90-minute time limit for infection prevention. I would like to visit again.

Payment is cash only. The atmosphere is charming, very nice. With so much greenery in this space, it feels 3 degrees cooler. The front of the shop is perfect for photos. The creamy latte goes perfectly with the coffee and is very appealing. The walk from the station might be a bit far if you consider walking. I definitely want to try the hot coffee next time.

I visited the renowned coffee shop, Takayama Coffee, with a rating of 3.86 on Tabelog in 2022. The location is around the midpoint between Ogawa-cho and Kanda. The exterior is stylish with lots of greenery, while the interior mainly consists of table seats with jazz music playing. This long-established coffee shop operates from Monday to Thursday and has been selected as one of the top 100 coffee shops. In addition to delicious coffee, their sandwiches and cakes are also popular, often causing long queues in the afternoon. I dropped by after a business meeting nearby and ordered an iced cafe au lait, an egg and cheddar cheese sandwich, and a New York cheesecake. The dim lighting, jazz music, tasty coffee, sandwiches, and cheesecake make it a great place to visit, don't you think?

I visited the restaurant right after it opened on a regular day. There were about three other groups of customers. I ordered a sandwich and iced coffee. The sandwich was simply delicious. I especially liked the iced coffee. The interior of the restaurant was very calming, and I had a great time from the morning. I would like to visit again.

In the afternoon on a regular day, there is a 1-hour wait for 5 groups, and you have to sign up and wait in front of the store. It's a well-known coffee shop with many customers carrying big bags. The atmosphere inside the shop lives up to its reputation, with a pleasant aroma and polite service. They use high-quality beans that have been aged for 2-3 years. A refill of their blend costs 250 yen. The New York cheesecake has a perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness.

On a regular weekday morning, I was lucky to find no waiting at all. As usual, the place wasn't empty... If it's full, you can write your name on the waiting sheet next to the entrance and wait. The atmosphere inside the restaurant, the demeanor of the staff, the tone of the people and the space - everything was just right. The coffee and cake were delicious, with no flaws in my opinion. If possible, I would love to visit more frequently. It's better to go alone as the space is limited. It had been a while since I had a cake set. The homemade "New York Cheesecake" is made using Danish cream cheese and sour cream, baked in a water bath. The moist and rich texture of the cake, along with the refreshing hint of lemon peel, left a lasting impression. You can choose between a "bitter" or "mild" blend for your drink in the set. Opting for "bitter" creates a nice contrast with the cheesecake. The coffee enhances the light cheesecake with its roasted flavor. If you feel like having another cup of coffee, you can get a refill for an additional 250 yen. It's a good idea to enjoy a different taste with your second cup. Situation: Visited on a weekday in July 2023 at around 10:11 am, no waiting, seated at a table for two closest to the entrance. Service: The female staff members were polite, soft-spoken, and had lovely smiles. The master focused on the kitchen but still maintained excellent service. Order: Cake set for 1,000 yen tax included - New York Cheesecake (homemade) - Blend coffee (bitter) Photography: Nikon Z7II with NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8, iPhone 12 mini
