I had the Misomiso Ramen with boiled egg. It had been a while since I last visited. I started by eating the bean sprouts and then focused on the noodles, just like in Jiro-style ramen. The soup, noodles, and chashu were all delicious. The amount you get for 800 yen is amazing. Next time, I want to try the special miso ramen.

I have been to Rokugo Gatts in Norbesa many times, and it seems to be the original. It is located on the way to Seita from Subway Nango 18-chome. I ordered the miso vegetable garlic with extra pork fat. As usual, it tastes like eating bean sprouts. And all this for 900 yen, which is very cost-effective nowadays.

Due to work holidays, I stopped by Harukago-ya after the circus. I had the soy sauce ramen with extra garlic and extra oil. It cost 800 yen. Despite being soy sauce based, the flavor was mild and smooth compared to other places.

I had the Miso Ramen at Rokkyo Miso Ramen. I have been curious about this Jiro-inspired style for a while. The miso soup was rich and tasty when mixed with bean sprouts. The thick straight noodles were delicious. The chashu was firm and thick. Since it was my first visit, I ordered it without extra toppings, so it was a regular miso ramen with plenty of bean sprouts, without garlic or back fat. The owner was quiet, the restaurant was warm, but I guess it's expected for a Jiro-style place.

Lugyo Shio Ramen (800 yen) with extra pork fat and garlic, and grilled pork loin. There are many Jiro-style ramen shops in the city, but this one is the most gentle and mild tonkotsu salt ramen. It has a moderate saltiness, plenty of bean sprouts, and might be considered healthy (lol). The grilled pork loin chashu is cut to about 8 millimeters thick, resembling the firm chashu of Showa era ramen. It's like half-cooked pork jerky and quite enjoyable. Next time, I'll try the miso ramen. Thank you for the meal.

During a break from work, I visited this shop for the first time. I had the miso ramen with egg topping for 900 yen. It had plenty of bean sprouts and thick slices of chashu. The soup was relatively light. The noodles were thick, so a stronger flavor might be better. They also had an option for double meat, so extra oil might be good. I'll try that next time. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain weekday, I went to a ramen shop in Kita-no, Kiyota-ku, which is inspired by Jiro-style ramen with lots of vegetables. When I arrived, everyone seemed surprisingly calm, as if they were all caught up in the baseball game. But soon after, more and more customers started coming in. That day, I decided to try the "Fumoto Shoyu Ramen (800 yen)" with extra vegetables and back fat, and less garlic. It was finally ready after a while. Oh, I completely forgot, but were there always this many vegetables in their ramen? Anyway, I took a bite... The noodles were thick and white, with a crunchy texture that softened nicely towards the end. I heard they also have thin noodles, which piqued my interest. The soup was a pork bone-based broth with a strong umami flavor from the pork, and at first, the soy sauce was quite prominent, making it slightly salty. But as the noodles absorbed the moisture from the bean sprouts, it mellowed out. I couldn't really taste the typical back fat on the surface, which was both good and disappointing. The garlic was also barely noticeable, which was a bit of a letdown. The generous amount of bean sprouts I had after a long time surprisingly didn't affect my stomach later on, and the meat, whether it was loin or pork belly, had a nice chewy texture and wasn't overly salty. Interestingly, most of the customers who came in later ordered pork belly. I was worried if I could finish the ramen with extra vegetables, but I managed to eat it all without any problems, which was a relief. Also, I found that this ramen tasted just right when eaten slowly. Thank you for the meal.

I noticed this sign on the way to my favorite supermarket, Lucy. I've loved this place since it opened about 10 years ago and have visited many times, but as I've gotten older, I rarely eat ramen anymore. However, as soon as I remembered it, I had a sudden craving and decided to visit! It was around 3 pm, and most ramen shops are closed during this time, so I was happy to see that this place was open all day. I ordered the "Fumoto Mis" ramen (750 yen), which I used to love. It was served in about 6 minutes, and it brought back nostalgic memories with its mountain of vegetables! It was loaded with bean sprouts and cabbage, making it healthy. I chose the grilled pork chashu, which was delicious. The soup had a mild miso flavor that was emulsified. The thick wheat noodles had a chewy texture and a hint of sweetness when thoroughly chewed. Despite the current trend of price increases, getting this large portion for 750 yen was a great deal! Plus, the extra vegetables, lard, and garlic were free of charge, which was fantastic! Since it had been a while since my last visit, I didn't ask for extra toppings this time, but I'll definitely ask for extra vegetables next time! Thank you, "Fumoto-sha," for the delicious meal!

November 2022, San (half noodles) for 700 yen. Located along Kiyota-dori in Nango 18-chome, this place offers the best cost performance, filling you up at a great price! A ramen shop with a nostalgic atmosphere, serving Jiro-style ramen as always. I ordered the usual salt flavor, opting for half noodles to save 50 yen. I declined all additional toppings, including the free extra. Wow... the mountain of noodles is still impressive even with half portions. The mild pork bone broth has just the right amount of saltiness, making it easy to enjoy. The thick noodles provide a satisfying chew, although a bit difficult to slurp. There's an abundance of bean sprouts, probably more than a whole bag's worth. The cabbage slices are a bit thick, and you can choose between two types of chashu, with the "seared roast" being tender and free of any unpleasant flavors. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the food!

"Lokusouya" It's been a long time since I last visited. I think it's been about 15 years since I last went there. I remember going there a long time ago, but I don't remember the taste at all. It's an old shop. I think it's the kind of place where people either love it or hate it. They offer extra vegetables, lard, and garlic for free since it's a Jiro-style ramen. I decided to play it safe and ordered a regular bowl without any extras. I ordered the "Spicy Soy Sauce Ramen @850 yen" because I saw a spicy option. You can choose from miso, soy sauce, or salt for the flavor, so I chose soy sauce. It was served in about 5 minutes. Even the regular size had a lot of bean sprouts!! There must have been about a whole bag of them. The soup is pork bone-based but relatively light. The mild soy sauce with a hint of spiciness was a good combination. The firm noodles also balanced well with the soup. The bean sprouts were crunchy. I chose pork belly for the chashu, and it was tender and delicious! I managed to finish it all, but maybe a half portion would have been enough... It had been a while since I last went, but it's no surprise that it's still a popular shop. Thank you for the meal~

The restaurant seems quite different from when it first opened. Some people may think of it as a Jiro-style ramen place, but it's actually quite different, with a lot of bean sprouts and a different ordering system. When ordering, it seems you should mention if you want extra chashu or any other options. I just asked for the special miso flavor, but I wasn't asked any further questions and got the standard roast chashu. I wonder how it differs from the mountain village miso. The chashu is thick but a bit tough, seems like it's pre-made. The soup doesn't seem like it's made in the shop, and there's no smell of meat at all. The taste itself is not bad, it's just like the taste of this type of ramen. It might be popular with students or big eaters. Sometimes I feel like having Jiro ramen.

When I researched ramen shops to have lunch around Nango, I found a Jiro-style ramen shop and decided to visit! However, the exterior doesn't look like Jiro and the interior is quite clean. I ordered the recommended miso ramen with extra toppings according to Jiro's rules, where extra lard, vegetables, and garlic are free. The taste was average, but the crunchy bean sprouts were nice. Next time, I want to try the curry ramen!

Arrived at the restaurant right after it opened on Sunday at 11 am. I was the first customer, with two more groups arriving later. Located near the South 18th Station on the subway, just across the Tohoku Street, with the address in Kitano. It is one of the older establishments among Sapporo's Jiro-style ramen restaurants. "Rokugo Guts" in Norbesa and "Daifumoto Ramen" along Route 12 are affiliated shops. This area is a fierce battleground for ramen, with "Takezo" right next door across the alley. This was my second visit in 7 years. The owner was running the shop alone, with a wide show on TV. I ordered the "Fumoto Miso" (700 yen) without hesitation. While it is a Jiro-style ramen, there is no call system, but you can request extra toppings when ordering. This time, I didn't say anything and had it "as is." It arrived in about 4 minutes, with plenty of bean sprouts and a little cabbage. The soup was reminiscent of old-fashioned pork bone miso, slightly on the lighter side. It seemed a bit salty last time, but this time it was just right and mellow. The thick noodles were chewy. You can choose between roasted loin and belly for the chashu. I didn't specify, but it seems it was loin from comparing with others' photos. It didn't seem seared, but it was juicy and delicious! As for the miso ramen only... it left a normal impression as before. The soup was too strong and monotonous, making it a bit "boring" towards the end. I finished it, but maybe I should have added extra lard and garlic... "Rokugo Guts" is delicious as it is, though. However, the cost performance is excellent!!! I was completely full. Next time, I will try the "Special Miso" and maybe have it with half noodles and a "Small Curry Rice."

On this day off, I visited Fumoto Koya for the first time in years. I ordered the ramen with pork bone soy sauce broth and chashu without fat. The pork chashu was tender and delicious, paired with thick noodles and a normal amount of bean sprouts for a satisfying meal. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

2020☆57th cup, Miso ramen for 700 yen, cheap (laughs). My son got Shio ramen for 700 yen, also cheap (laughs). We both chose extra pork chashu. I was hesitant to go with my child because I didn't want to leave any leftovers, but I finally decided to go since it's been a while and it should be fine. The weather feels like it's about to snow, so I hope it doesn't. We arrived around 2 pm to avoid the crowd. There was one group before us, then we entered, and soon after another group left and a new one came in. I've been here several times before, but never noticed that pattern (laughs). We sat at the counter and waited for a few minutes. The ramen arrived faster than expected, just like a ramen king. It looked delicious. The first sip of the soup was amazing. I added garlic and extra fat, but it wasn't too heavy. The garlic was strong, but not as strong as in a ramen king, which made me happy. My son mixed everything up, and I could tell it was too much for him, so I ate some of his bean sprouts. I don't mix mine because I don't like leftover vegetables at the end (laughs). I like the crunchy texture of the vegetables in the soup. It was so delicious. Some people have mixed opinions, but I realized that I really like Jiro-style ramen. I wonder if the owner is shy because he doesn't really look at us or say much, which is a bit disappointing. I hope it doesn't snow this weekend because I don't like driving in the snow. That's just my personal preference. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I visited Fumoto Koya. There is parking space for about 5 cars on the left side of the store. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, but it might be a bit difficult for those with small children. Unlike other Jiro-style ramen places, you don't order from a vending machine here. Instead, the owner takes your order directly. I ordered the special miso ramen, without any extra toppings. When the food arrived, I was surprised by the portion size - it seemed like a lot to finish! However, once I started eating, I found the balance of soup, noodles, and vegetables to be perfect, and I didn't get tired of the taste until the end. It's not too rich, but somehow you can keep eating. My stomach felt like it was going to burst, but it was worth it. Thank you for the meal!

Around Nango 18-chome station. I had some work in this area, so on my way back, I decided to stop by for some ramen as an appetizer before heading home. I was walking towards the subway station, thinking of just going into any ramen shop I come across, when I stumbled upon Rokugosha! It's been a while since I had some Jiro-style ramen, so I decided to give it a try. There were no other customers when I entered, just three young guys ordering similar dishes. I went for a lighter option since I'm trying to watch my weight - I ordered the Meat Double, Extra Vegetables, Extra Oil for 950 yen. I skipped the garlic this time to avoid giving away that I've had it before. The bowl arrived in about 15 minutes. Jiro-style ramen always looks impressive! While it didn't seem as big as I expected, it's just an appetizer after all. First, you need to dig out the noodles. The noodles are thick and firm, giving a good chewy texture. The noodles are great! Next, I tried the bean sprouts and noodles. The bean sprouts were crunchy and added a nice balance to the dish. The broth was infused with the fat, and all that was left was to slurp it all up. Moving on to the chashu, there were slices of pork loin and belly meat surrounding the bowl. I should have ordered rice to go with it, but the chashu was quite filling. The pork loin had a good chew, while the belly meat was especially tasty. After savoring the flavors, I quickly finished the whole bowl like a beast. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you! Ramen review number 66 for this year.

This is my second visit. Last time I had curry ramen. This time I had salt ramen. I chose half noodles and did not add any extra toppings. My husband added garlic and back fat to his miso ramen, and it was definitely tastier with the garlic. I prefer thicker noodles, but even with this thickness, there is a nice chewiness and it's delicious. I think I'll try the miso ramen next time. It's like a refreshing Jiro-style ramen, easy to eat and tasty. I will definitely go back.

We brought a friend to this place and ordered the Fumoto Miso for 700 yen. When it arrived, I was surprised by the portion size. Later, I noticed another customer's order, which was a double portion of meat! Is this a Jiro-style ramen place? I had no idea beforehand. Looking at reviews, it seems like it is. The customer managed to finish the super-sized portion, which was impressive. Jiro-style ramen has huge portions of vegetables and noodles, making it a challenge to finish. Everyone has different preferences, right? It's amazing to see someone finish such a large meal!

I found this place unexpectedly when I was craving something to eat. Based on the reviews I read, I was surprised by how many vegetables there were! I wish I had taken a side photo to show the height of the bowl, it's about 10 centimeters from the rim. You have to eat the crunchy bean sprouts diligently to reach the noodles, haha. When the noodles arrived, I was surprised by how thick and chewy they were! Delicious~ I love it! This might be a dish that some people love and some people don't. But one thing for sure, it's a lot of food. My stomach was so full! I didn't realize you could choose to have less noodles. I'll do that next time. Thank you for the meal!
