The rain has stopped, and in the majestic light and shadow, the sky reveals a crescent moon and faint stars twinkling. Venus shines brightly, asserting itself in the night sky. Despite the forecast for light rain until 5 pm, it continued until 7 pm, causing concern for those attending the party at Yamari. The party started early, but I managed to arrive in time to enjoy the food and drinks. On my way there, I found solace in the fragments of stars, receiving a glimmer of light and courage to overcome any obstacles in reaching my destination. This gathering with food reviewers was the first of its kind in a long time, with nearly 30 people in a private setting. The crowded restaurant scene seemed unfamiliar after months of the pandemic, but we were divided into groups of four at separate tables. The menu included motsunabe, liver sashimi, fried cod with cartilage, potato fries, sautéed Hokkaido nanohana and mushrooms, and more. The finale was a ramen dish with a unique twist, featuring collagen-rich cartilage that added a delightful texture. The rich and flavorful sauce made me crave for more of this kind of ramen. As we enjoyed our drinks, including draft beer, bottled beer, lemon highball, and Dewar's highball, the party continued with a variety of dishes and desserts. The Hokkaido nanohana and mushroom stir-fry stood out for its savory taste, and I couldn't resist indulging in it. Although the motsunabe was tasty, the texture of the offal was slightly tough and lacked proper preparation, leaving room for improvement. Overall, the affordable price of the all-you-can-drink party package, including food and extras, for only 3000 yen, made the gathering truly enjoyable.
