I stayed overnight from Saturday to Sunday. After checking in, I first went to the hot springs. The water is clear and doesn't smell of sulfur, but it has a soothing sensation on the skin that makes you want to soak in it forever. There are steam baths, cypress baths, and open-air baths, making it a relaxing time. For dinner, we had a kaiseki meal instead of a buffet in a dining area, with many bite-sized dishes that were creatively prepared by the chef. The portion was just right, and I was satisfied. The next morning, after a walk, I revitalized my body in the morning bath and had breakfast. There was a wide variety of Japanese dishes, as well as a buffet with salad, fruits, drinks, yogurt, and soba. What's amazing about this inn is the abundance of free services in the lounge, where you can taste about 10 different types of honey, enjoy draft beer, coffee, orange juice, shaved ice, cakes, and various desserts. Some services are time-limited, so be careful. Since it's close to Sapporo, I had always put off visiting Jozankei Onsen, but now I wish I had gone sooner. I plan to visit several more times in the future.
