We used a semi-private room for up to 4 people, but unfortunately there was no option for all-you-can-drink. The atmosphere was nice, with flowers arranged in the back. 15 years ago, I had a dinner with former colleagues from the company I used to work for. We bumped into each other near my current workplace, so we decided to meet up for drinks. We were all part of the team that built the email system together. The restaurant we chose was on the 6th floor of KITTE, overlooking Tokyo Station, Marunouchi Building, and Shin Marunouchi Building. We were soon joined by 3 people, and we toasted with draft beer. I thought the restaurant was mainly focused on skewered dishes, but it turned out to be a Hokkaido cuisine restaurant called "Kushiro". The food was delicious, with options like lamb, asparagus, hokke (Okhotsk atka mackerel), shishamo (smelt), and salmon. The shishamo was the real deal, not the imitation Alaska smelt, and it was incredibly tender and sweet. We enjoyed a variety of Hokkaido sake, including Menyam, Onikoroshi, Namara, Suigei, Yama no Kagayaki, Toko, and Kyuhachi. We had a great time chatting and drinking, but before we knew it, 3 hours had passed. We ended the night by going to the rooftop garden to enjoy the night view, shook hands, and said our goodbyes. It was a fantastic evening. The service was good, although there seemed to be some part-time staff working.

Many dishes using ingredients from Hokkaido are available, such as Tokachi pork miso-marinated rice bowl and seasonal seafood served in a flower basket. The view is fantastic, with Tokyo Station visible right in front. The private rooms with wooden sliding doors add a touch of luxury. We went for lunch and made a reservation the day before, and we were lucky to secure the last available table. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance.

I thought it would be a vinegar rice in an ojyu, but it turned out to be more like ochazuke style, which was a bit unexpected. It was a little hard to understand just by looking at the menu. But it was still delicious. It might be good for a business lunch.

This day was a rare visit to Tokyo Station. By chance, I received a message from a friend who happened to be nearby, so we decided to have dinner together hastily. Considering our plans afterwards, we searched for a restaurant near the station at KITTE. Since we were in the mood for Japanese cuisine, we came to this restaurant only to find it fully booked. However, we were guided to the counter seats within 5 minutes. They grill Hokkaido ingredients over charcoal, including fresh fish. We enjoyed a platter of 7 types of sashimi, grilled yellowtail collar, steamed oysters, grilled crab miso, charcoal-grilled black mushrooms, sushi rolls, miso soup, and a sake tasting set. The location was convenient, the service was excellent, and the counter seats were spacious, making it a great restaurant suitable for various occasions.

We used this restaurant for a meeting between both families that we couldn't have during the pandemic. The atmosphere was tense, but the food was luxurious and delicious, and the service was impeccable. We were glad we chose this restaurant for the meeting. It's located near Tokyo Station, and since one set of parents arrived by Shinkansen, we made the reservation 30-45 minutes after their arrival time, giving us plenty of time. The 6th floor of KITTE seems to mainly focus on sushi, but they also offer set meals and meat dishes. Among the more affordable options, I chose the seafood set meal. It came with chawanmushi, okra with sesame dressing, chicken with chestnuts and corn, and a unique combination of grilled salmon, hokke fish, tempura (shrimp, taro, shishito pepper), and sashimi (type of fish unknown). The highlight was the small scallop miso soup with wakame and green onions at the bottom, which enhanced the flavor when mixed. The view overlooking Tokyo Station is also stunning, making for a truly enriching experience.

I was immediately drawn in by the poster at the entrance and decided to enter! "Hokkai no Hassun" for ¥1960 including tax. It includes: Button shrimp and scallop sashimi, shrimp and winter melon jelly, grilled kamas with yuzu sauce, grilled conger eel with plum and shiso, corn tempura, and tuna and white fish sushi. Each dish is packed with delicious flavors. I also had a glass of "Mansaku no Hana Special Honjozo" for ¥860. The sake paired well with the tasty dishes. I also ordered "KinKi Salt Grilled" for ¥3300. We ordered various other dishes as well, which you can see in the photos. Everything was delicious and fresh, with no disappointments!

Sushi restaurants are better for sushi, but the prices are a bit high... On the other hand, the rice bowl dishes are good. I recommend the seafood bowl. Well, it still can't beat a sushi restaurant. We arrived around 11:30, and most of the private rooms were already full. It's indeed a popular spot. From the window, you can enjoy a view of Tokyo Station, adding to the urban atmosphere. We ordered: - Seafood assorted rice bowl set for 1,740 yen After a while, a set of chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was served first. The chawanmushi had a sweet and unique taste, with ingredients like corn and chestnuts that are not usually found in it. It's always fun to see what's inside chawanmushi. Then, the seafood bowl, soba noodles, and tempura were brought to us. The portion was quite generous. The soba noodles had a smooth and soft texture rather than being chewy, and the dipping sauce was not too strong. The tempura was crispy and delicious. The soup was clam miso soup, soothing our bodies after the indulgent New Year's feasting. The seafood bowl had a generous amount of sea urchin in the middle. It was delicious. The sweet egg omelet was also tasty. Considering the good view and the price, it's quite a deal. The private rooms are sunken kotatsu style, making it comfortable even for elderly customers, and it's also child-friendly, allowing you to have lunch while keeping your baby next to you after leaving the stroller.
