Stayed in Sapporo and returned to Asahikawa in the morning. Before heading back, I decided to eat in Sapporo...and when I looked it up, I found a popular tsukemen (dipping noodles) restaurant. It had a long line already...it opened at 11:00, and I arrived at 11:05 to find a line already formed. The first group went in, and those who couldn't get in were waiting. However...I had to wait for over 30 minutes from there...right in front of me was the super popular Ebi Soba Ichigen Main Store, where there was also a long line since the morning. I had been there a long time ago, and for some reason, I was approached when I first went...back when they weren't on TV in Hokkaido at all, so I must have been mistaken for someone else...haha. It's exciting...visiting a new restaurant is always exciting. I hope the taste is to my liking...so I checked out some information on food review websites beforehand. There were 7 types of dipping sauces to choose from. Some even come with two types of soup. Additionally, the lunch set comes with a choice of rice dish for 880 yen. I was quite torn. Should I get two types of soup and order rice separately, or should I go for the lunch set and add toppings? As I waited for over 25 minutes, I was finally shown to a table. There, I had to wait for another 5 minutes...but it was the moment of destiny...I decided on this: Lunch Set 880 yen + Large Size 100 yen + Chashu (sliced pork) 250 yen, totaling 1230 yen. I had decided on the recommended Lu Rou Fan (Taiwanese braised pork rice). It was a bit pricey, but since I ordered various items, it was within an acceptable range. By the way, if I had ordered items separately...Tsukemen (250g) 850 yen + Large Size 100 yen + Chashu 250 yen, Lu Rou Fan 350 yen = 1550 yen. The lunch set noodles are supposed to be 200g, but I mistakenly thought it was 300g. No wonder various things happened...I chose the rich and creamy dipping sauce. There were other options like Shrimp, Miso, and Classic that caught my attention, but I went with the rich one. By the way, if you order regular tsukemen, you can choose two types of soup. Opened in March 2017, it has been 5 and a half years. A rare tsukemen specialty restaurant in Hokkaido that emphasizes the soup and noodles. It was written that the soup for the dipping noodles had a rich and creamy taste. The toppings were quite extravagant...Tsukemen with large size 370g, Chashu topping, mini Lu Rou Fan. The dipping sauce was rich and creamy...did I order too much? I usually don't add Chashu toppings, and there was Lu Rou Fan available, so why did I get so much Chashu? Was I too excited to be in Sapporo? The seaweed was a free topping, and you could have as many pieces as you wanted. Of course, as it was written, no handpicking allowed. However, it was quite difficult to pick up just one piece with the small tongs. So...I started with three pieces. I placed them on top of the noodles. Many places charge 100 yen just for seaweed, so this service was really appreciated. Uh-oh, I might end up eating a few more pieces... Chashu...was one piece already on there? If so, did I add three more pieces? 250 yen for three pieces...well, that's about right. It was thick and had a lot of volume. But it was a bit dry. But I got it as a follow-up. You could get it by following them on Twitter or Instagram.
