I visited "Peanuts Cafe Nakameguro," which I had made a reservation for in advance. It is located on a quiet street just off the main road, and it has a lovely atmosphere. The first floor is a shop, with Peanuts comics and character illustrations adorning the white walls, creating a fun vibe. The cafe on the second floor is accessed via an outdoor staircase, giving it a hidden gem feel. On the day of my visit, about 80% of the customers were women, with some couples and older fans as well. We tried:
- "The Goose Eggs" Sliders: A dish named after the baseball team in the Peanuts comic strip, featuring four sliders with roast beef, walnut and carrot slaw, peppery ham and cheese, and blueberry & cheese cream. It came with fries, salad, and peanut butter, offering a satisfying meal.
- "Peanuts Girls' Love Carbonara": A cute dish inspired by Peppermint Patty, Lucy, Sally, and other characters. The carbonara pasta was topped with flowers and a half-cooked egg, creating a creamy texture. The portion size was small but surprisingly filling. We also had the soup & bread set, with bread stamped with a peanut mark and served with peanut butter.
All the menu items were creatively tied to the Peanuts series, making the dining experience enjoyable as we reminisced about various scenes. The restaurant's interior was decorated with Peanuts comics, illustrations, and merchandise, creating a fun and colorful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and showed a deep love for the Peanuts franchise. Highly recommended for Peanuts fans, couples, and anyone looking for a fun dining experience.
