I visited the restaurant around 1:30 pm on Saturday. The place was about 90% full, so you might have to share a table if you go alone. You order verbally. I ordered the Uni Don, which was served in less than 10 minutes. The bowl had a generous amount of uni and ikura, with no rice in sight! The uni was delicious and the ikura was plump and flavorful. The meal also came with a side of tororo kombu miso soup, pickled daikon, and hijiki seaweed. Everything was so tasty that I finished it in no time. The menu also mentioned a two-tier Uni Don where the uni is layered between rice. I would love to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for the meal!

Had breakfast at Nosappu Misaki! Enjoyed a delicious Katoridono seafood bowl with plenty of toppings like sea urchin, salmon roe, salmon, flying fish roe, scallops, squid, and more. It was better than just having sea urchin alone. Many people were also enjoying sea urchin bowls, but I preferred this one. Thank you for the meal!

It was delicious! Definitely worth it to come all the way to Wakkanai and treat yourself here. I checked on Tabelog and found the top-rated Karafuto Shokudo. They are only open in the winter season, so be sure to visit during this time. They only accept cash for payment, so keep that in mind. I visited for breakfast, and they offer both large and small rice bowl options. The menu varies depending on the size. When you sit down, the owner will show you the actual size of the rice bowl, so if you have a small appetite, you can decide then. I opted for the large bowl with extra rice for free. I chose the three-color bowl with crab, fresh scallops, marinated scallops, sea urchin, and chopped seaweed on top. Each ingredient had a strong flavor and aroma. I definitely plan on coming back next year!

A famous seafood bowl restaurant near Nosappu Cape in Wakkanai. They open at 9 am, so I arrived around 8:45. There was only one group of customers ahead of me, but by 8:55, there was a line of about 10 people. They opened early, so I placed my order as soon as I sat down. I tried the Sakhalin bowl, which has 5 different toppings. The sea urchin was sweet and delicious, with no bitterness. The scallops were also tasty and thick. It's not often you get to eat fresh scallops like this in Tokyo. The salmon roe, crab, and salmon flakes were average. Honestly, they weren't necessary. The regular bowl size is quite large, so it's too much for breakfast. I recommend ordering the small size sea urchin bowl with just sea urchin and scallops if you want a great meal at this place.

I used my accumulated miles to get a discounted ticket to Wakkanai, Hokkaido. I made it just in time for the sea urchin season! I went to this restaurant where all I could see on the menu were sea urchin bowls. The more sea urchin, the better, so I ordered the sea urchin-only bowl for 4950 yen. It took a while for the dish to arrive, and it was filled with sea urchin from Wakkanai. The sea urchin grains were very large, which is not something you see often in Tokyo. They also added a bit of salmon roe as a bonus. The staff even asked if it was okay to add salmon roe, which was considerate. The sea urchin had a strong scent of the sea and was very sweet, and there was a generous amount served, so I was very satisfied. The salmon roe was also delicious! If I ever come back to Wakkanai, I would love to visit this place again! They also gave me a cute restaurant sticker, which was a nice touch. Thank you!

When you visit Hakodate, make sure to visit this restaurant. ・Uni Donburi 2,880 yen A small bowl filled with uni and four large scallops (two pickled). Despite being called a small bowl, the portion is generous enough that even men order this dish. They will inform you of the size of the bowl before you order. ・Uni Only Uni Donburi 4,950 yen A large bowl filled with uni and a little bit of salmon roe. The bowl is packed full, making you feel incredibly happy. *Payment is cash only, so make sure to check your wallet before going.

Recommended uni-don is the two-color bowl with scallops (raw and boiled) and sea urchin. The bowl is on the smaller side, but just the right amount for a hearty appetite. The price is about half of what you would pay in Rishiri or Rebun, so it's no wonder there are many regular customers, as seen from the comments posted in the restaurant. Of course, you can also choose a regular size or add ikura for an extra touch.

I went there on Sunday after 2 pm. It was just before the last order, so I was seated right away. I ordered the Sanmai-don, and even the regular size had a generous amount of rice. If you have a small appetite, you might want to go for the smaller size, which is also more affordable. The sea urchin was large, with firm flesh, and very delicious.

A restaurant that opens in the morning! I arrived at 8:30 and there was no line or need to write down my name. They opened around 8:50 and we went inside. They had options for large and small rice bowls to choose from. There were three of us and we chose the Kanto Don, Goshiki Don, and Okonomi Nishiki Don. The sea urchin was sweet! The salmon roe and flying fish roe were also delicious with a nice texture! The crab was sweet! The scallops were sweet too! The squid was also sweet! Everything was delicious (´,,•﹃•,,`) The portions were huge, haha. I would definitely like to visit this place again.

At the Noshappu Cape, I had the "undefeatable fresh sea urchin bowl" at the Karafuto Dining. This sea urchin is unbelievably delicious and sweet. Even though the bowl is small, it fills you up. Noshappu Cape is a must-visit for Hokkaido gourmet food lovers. The sea urchin is the real winner here, beating even the scallop sashimi and soy sauce-marinated scallops.

I came all the way to Wakkanai to eat here. I arrived a little before 9 o'clock and had to wait for 5 people ahead of me. There were many motorcycle riders. However, they were out of the "uni-only uni-don" that I wanted, so I chose the three-color donburi. The sea urchin here is delicious. I hope to come back next year for a rematch!

I stopped by after visiting Nosappu Misaki during my sightseeing in Wakkanai. The restaurant was bustling due to the Obon holiday. I was seated within 1 minute (there were many bikers). I ordered the Uni (sea urchin) three-color bowl. It was amazing! The fresh Uni melted in my mouth and was delicious! The scallops were also large and satisfying to eat! I want to eat it again!

I'm heading back to Tokyo today, but I can't forget the sea urchin at Nosappu Misaki, so I went sea urchin hunting again this morning. I went to the Karafuto Shokudo at the tip of Nosappu Misaki this morning. Despite it being 8 o'clock, the place was packed! I ordered a sea urchin bowl. The sea urchin had no fishy smell at all and was sweet! Sea urchin hunting season is now over! (^^)

Sea urchin bowl (small size) - Even though it's a small size, the portion is quite generous! It also comes with scallops, but it's definitely a sea urchin bowl. When eating sea urchin in Osaka, it often has a slightly bitter taste, but this sea urchin was surprisingly sweet. If you ever visit Nosyappu Cape, be sure to try it. I devoured it in no time. They only accept cash for payment, no electronic payments. But that's also part of the charm. They even gave me a sticker. Visiting Nosyappu Cape isn't too difficult (unless it's windy), so I'll definitely come back. Next time, I'll try the larger size.

The restaurant is as popular as ever and the food is delicious. I arrived at 1 pm and was able to get in easily, maybe because it was a weekday or because of the rain. However, I had to wait for 30 minutes for the food to be served starting at 1:30 pm. The staff kindly let me wait inside the restaurant since I arrived on a motorcycle. This time, I tried the most popular dish among riders, which is a uni-don (with scallops as a side).

I visited this place during my business trip, thinking it's a must-visit spot in summer Wakkanai. I arrived around 11:30 am and there was no waiting time. I ordered the fresh sea urchin rice bowl. It was served in a small bowl, but the portion was sufficient for me. The scallops were also very delicious!

On the 5th day of my Hokkaido trip, I had lunch at "Karafuto Shokudo" in Nosappu Misaki, following my visit there the other day. Remembering the huge portion of the "Karafuto Don" last time, I decided to order a "Small-sized Sea Urchin Bowl" this time. It came with refillable miso soup and two side dishes, all for 2,880 yen including tax. The bowl was not small at all, quite the opposite! The marinated scallops had a hint of smoked flavor, and were delicious. The scallop sashimi was sweet and tasty, and the main dish of fresh sea urchin was melt-in-your-mouth good. Definitely worth coming all the way to Nosappu Misaki for this meal!

The day before, I stayed at a hotel in Wakkanai. On this day, I went to "Karafuto Shokudo" near Nosappu Misaki for breakfast. I came to eat the "invincible fresh sea urchin bowl"! It took about 8 minutes by car from JR Wakkanai Station, and I arrived around 8:30 am on a weekday. I got a parking spot. There were about 4-5 groups of 10 people lining up before the opening. The shop opened a little earlier than the scheduled 9 am opening time. The seating area had table seats and tatami seats for a total of 38 seats (two 8-person tables, two 8-person tatami seats, one 6-person tatami seat). I sat at a table and looked at the menu. Everything looked delicious, but I decided to go with the "Uni-dake Uni Bowl" that uses twice the amount of fresh sea urchin. It seemed to be the most popular menu item! There were two sizes of bowls, and I ordered the larger one. Even though it's called "Uni-dake," they also added a small amount of salmon roe for free. You can also change the salmon roe to crab, fresh scallops, or marinated scallops, which was a nice option! In about 5 minutes, the "Uni Bowl" arrived! This was truly the "invincible fresh sea urchin bowl"! It looked great (laughs). They used purple sea urchin, which was sweet and delicious. The soy sauce-marinated salmon roe topping was also quite tasty. I finished it all and when the staff brought hair and a marker, I thought they were giving something, but it seemed like they were asking everyone for their feedback as a memory. I also wrote down my thoughts in hopes of coming back to Wakkanai again (laughs). Thank you for the meal! *Note: Photography inside the restaurant, other than the food, seems to be prohibited.

At the tip of Cape Noshappu in Wakkanai, I had a breakfast of sea urchin rice bowl at the Karafuto Shokudo! I arrived before 9 am and was the first in line to enter the restaurant. They opened just before 9 am that day. While they had rice bowls with scallops and crabs, my goal was to eat plenty of sea urchin, so I ordered the "sea urchin only rice bowl"! It was packed with sea urchin, with a little bit of salmon roe filling the gaps. The sight of the sea urchin piled high was truly impressive! It was my first time eating this much sea urchin at once! Not only was it visually appealing, but the taste was also amazing! It was sweet, creamy, and delicious. If you ever visit Wakkanai, be sure to try the sea urchin! #Wakkanai #NoshappuCape #KarafutoShokudo #SeaUrchin #HokkaidoTravel #HokkaidoGourmet

Wakkanai Lunch Uni Don for 2,880 yen at the famous shop Misaki. Despite being called a small bowl, it is filled with plenty of rice and enough uni and scallops, so the average person would be satisfied with this. The richness of the uni is intense and delicious. The scallops are also incredibly sweet. Both are truly unique to Hokkaido.
