I dropped by for lunch. Although the sign was visible, it seemed impossible to enter from the Osaki Station side, so there was a notice posted to go around to the back. The distance to the back side was surprisingly far. There was a map there, and I accidentally entered from the side of the stairs and elevator of the apartment, but that was a guide to another office, and I was able to enter the restaurant directly from the stairs on the right side of the apartment. I tried the daily (?) special menu, which had several types of seafood and was delicious.

After revisiting the restaurant post-meeting, it had been renovated and looked beautiful, with wider aisles. However, there are still many foreign staff members, and some of them provide arrogant customer service, which is disappointing. The simmered duck was generous in portion size, but the highball had too much ice. It would be nice if they could use larger glasses.

I stopped by a izakaya in Osaki with my colleagues after work. It had been a while since we last visited. The sashimi was fresh and there was a wide variety of dishes to go with beer. It was a valuable dinner time where I could hear my colleagues' complaints after a long time.

This sushi izakaya is a casual place where you can easily walk in, yet the chef still skillfully prepares the sushi. The atmosphere is open and inviting, with friendly chefs at the counter who are happy to chat with you. Despite being located in the business and residential area of Osaki, where many chain izakayas can be found, this place stands out for its quality. The high-quality sushi may come at a price, but the taste is undeniably delicious. While I haven't tried many side dishes, I've heard that the grilled skewers are also delicious. I would love to visit this restaurant again when I have the chance.

On Sunday night, two of us visited the restaurant. The extra cold beer was too bad (it had a strange smell), but the sake was delicious. We enjoyed chilled tomato, silver salmon with Kyoto-style miso, nigiri sushi, medium-fatty salmon, dried pollack, cream cheese, and nori miso soup with the sake. There are few places open late on Sunday nights (after 8 pm), so we would like to visit again.

The recommended toppings like sardines and black soy sauce are fresh and delicious. However, the rice is too salty and the wasabi is overpowering, resulting in a strong and intense flavor in the mouth. The quality of the toppings is great, but it's a bit of a waste. The service and interior are very good.

After carrying the portable shrine in Osaki, we headed to the Sea of Japan. It had been a while since I last visited, and it seems like the interior has changed. It now has a private room feel, bright and clean. They were open for business all day on Sundays. They had recommended dishes of the day, and a wide variety of menu options. There were also healthy foods like seaweed vinegar, as well as sake and Hoppy available. [Second Visit] Weekday around 8:30 PM, 2 people, no reservation, seated at the counter. Last order at 9:30 PM, closing at 10:30 PM. Sardine, horse mackerel, red shrimp, squid, bigeye tuna, yellowtail, okra natto gunkan, himokyu roll, natto roll, ikura roll. 3 lime sours ordered.

Go down the stairs towards Gotanda from the west exit of Osaki Station, cross the road, and the store is right there at the back of a flagpole lot. The first floor used to be a conveyor belt sushi place, but it seems like they stopped the conveyor belt recently, as there was a wooden board covering it. However, I wonder if the first floor is still a sushi restaurant and the second floor is an izakaya. This time, I was guided to the second floor. I ordered sashimi and boiled whitebait salad, and changed my drink from beer to a watered-down shochu highball. I also added their homemade sweet potato tempura. Overall, it's just a regular izakaya.

During the corona period, I hadn't been there, so it was probably my first visit in 3-4 years. The lunch menu itself had not changed, but there was a price increase. Even with the price increase, I think the cost performance is quite good. This time, I ordered a set of soba and nigiri sushi. First, salad and miso soup are served. Then, soba and 6 pieces of nigiri sushi for 1000 yen is quite a good deal in terms of cost performance. The interior of the restaurant had been renovated and was very clean. They should also come for a patrol at night!

I love eating sushi and drinking from lunchtime! Casual sushi restaurants are great because you can have fun and drink without any pretense! It's always lively and fun with everyone. We always end up drinking too much! It's cost-effective too! It's convenient because it's close to the station!

Today is my day off, so I decided to try a highly-rated new restaurant. It's a sushi restaurant, and the pathway to the entrance is Japanese-style. I started with a draft beer, but it tasted different. Maybe they didn't clean the tap? (This is just my personal opinion) [Sashimi Platter] Tuna, squid, salmon, and bonito, but the tuna looked off. It was almost brown. The bonito was also slimy and lacked freshness. [Raw Oysters] They were mushy and lacked freshness, so I left over half of them uneaten. [Leaf Wasabi Roll] The bottled wasabi wasn't very spicy and lacked a crunchy texture. The eel and roe also weren't crunchy.

There are few places in the Osaki Station area where you can feel happy and relaxed while enjoying a drink, but this place is one of the few where you can. I was impressed to find such a fun and casual place in Osaki! The main menu is sushi, but they also offer items like fried chicken, burdock sticks, and potato salad. The selection of appetizers is also great. They have must-try items like eel, tuna, negitoro, horse mackerel, and sea bream. They also offer seasonal sashimi like shirako (milt) with ponzu sauce. The pricing is easy to understand based on the color of the plates, similar to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The sushi is delicious with generous portions of fish, and you can adjust the amount of rice. This place satisfies any sushi cravings you may have. Located on the west side of Osaki Station, away from the main gate of Osaki's GATE City, it has a quiet exit. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it a great place to unwind. I saw people in suits enjoying a drink alone after work, families with young children, and elderly friends having a good time together. The restaurant has plenty of seating, so you can usually find a spot easily. This kind of place is rare and valuable in Osaki. I will probably visit again.

In Osaki, there are few sophisticated places to drink, but surprisingly, there are some relaxed bars where people can gather. Today, my friend and I stumbled upon a large bar and decided to have a drink. The bottle of Takara shochu was only 1600 yen, a great deal! While I was a bit hesitant since I had stopped drinking, the carbonated set arrived. The taste was a bit dull, but the fried shrimp and sausages were delicious. The sensation of alcohol entering my body was a bit scary, but I couldn't resist the temptation. The delicious snacks seemed to numb the effects of the alcohol. I ended up drinking more than I intended, feeling a bit guilty towards the staff. However, I discovered that this bar, located in the midst of the bustling city of Osaki, had a warm and welcoming atmosphere that catered to people like us. Despite being a chain, it exuded the charm of a small, individually owned business. I couldn't help but enjoy the experience and left with a smile. Drinking can be quite enjoyable!

June 24, 2021 (Thursday) It's been a while since I visited the Sea of Japan. Headed to the 1st floor. The interior of the shop looked cleaner and the layout had changed. The lunch menu remained the same as before. This time, I had a single serving of sushi for 980 yen. The miso soup of the day was made with seaweed. The taste was okay.

For lunch, you can enjoy sushi rolls and changing rice bowl specials. I ordered a single serving of sushi with miso soup and salad. The miso soup and salad had a good amount of volume. The sushi rolls were satisfying with 10 pieces including thick rolls. The rice was just the right size, not too big. As the season changes, this light lunch with vinegared rice seems very convenient.

During lunchtime, I went to Osaki to have lunch at "Sushi Izakaya Nihonkai Osaki". On November 18, 2020, I visited this restaurant for the first time alone. It is located right in front of Osaki Station West Exit. I have visited the Meguro branch before. Nihonkai Co., Ltd. operates a popular sushi izakaya chain with several stores mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. This restaurant has sushi on the first floor and an izakaya on the second floor. I visited the second floor this time to try the daily set meal. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is typical of a chain izakaya, with the kitchen and serving counter in the back left. You place your order and pay first, then receive your dishes promptly. Rice, miso soup, pickles, etc. are self-service. The menu consists only of the daily special (700 yen), which on this day was the "Tuna Sashimi Set Meal" (700 yen) with unlimited rice, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish (cold tofu). The miso soup had tofu in it, and you could add as much green onion as you liked. The pickles included pickled Chinese cabbage, white cabbage, eggplant, pickled plum, and miso pickled cucumber, providing a variety of flavors. There was also salted squid included. The rice was slightly firm, which I liked. The tuna sashimi was very red and thickly sliced, providing a deliciously tender texture. After finishing the meal, I couldn't resist making ochazuke with the salted squid and pickled plum. It was delicious. For 700 yen, this lunch was excellent value for money. Although I didn't have any, there was also self-serve coffee available. The price shown includes tax. [What's great about it!] Excellent value for money. Visited in October 2020 for lunch at an izakaya. While chain izakayas are good, this one specializes in seafood so the quality of the ingredients is decent. The second floor offers set meals while the first floor focuses on sushi. Today I had the daily special five-color bowl for 900 yen, which included scallops, salmon, white fish, squid, and fish fin. The portion size was decent. They don't have conveyor belt sushi during lunch, but they offer affordable sets and the counter seating is comfortable. Overall, it's a convenient and cozy spot.

The location is convenient as it is close to the station. I went with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. I recommend the lunch special, which is 14 pieces of nigiri for 1230 yen. The tuna is especially good. They also have a variety of fresh fish, simmered dishes, fried dishes, and meat options.
