Additionally, for hygiene reasons, bringing your own pet bird is not allowed due to concerns about avian influenza. While walking towards the azalea festival after seeing the peony garden at Ueno Toshogu Shrine, I stumbled upon a cafe and decided to go in because I thought the bird-themed sweets were cute. To my surprise, there were actual birds inside! They offered a 5-minute session of interacting with the birds for 500 yen, and you could touch them. Only two people were allowed to interact with the birds at a time, and my child was delighted to do so.

This day was a special event at the Fuchiri Art Festival. Fuchiri refers to the buttocks of birds (；∀；) Yes, a butt fetish festival (((^_^;) The limited menu includes Butt Curry. The classic menu includes the Cherry Hat Budgerigar Ice Soda. The colorful rice with cute white butts and curry is delicious... ( ;｀Д´) The soda is very cute. Inside the store, there are big windows where birds play freely, and during the fluffy time, you can interact with the birds (*^^*) It's fun, and I would like to go again ＼(^-^)／

I went to Kotori Cafe Ueno branch ♬ I ordered the Kotori Castella drink set ♡ Inside the cafe, you can hear the chirping and singing of small birds, creating a cozy atmosphere. You can also interact with the birds for 5 minutes for 540 yen, choose your favorite bird, and take photos. It seems like the Omotesando branch's main store has moved to Ueno. I definitely want to visit this cafe again ♡

I had been curious about the "Kotori Cafe" in Ueno for a long time! Since the collaboration with the Long-tailed Tit is ending soon, I decided to go check it out! I rushed in around 5 pm, and the staff welcomed me without any unpleasant looks. Inside, there were many real birds...! There were some incredibly colorful birds, and I was impressed by the variety. Also, since they were collaborating with the Long-tailed Tit, there were photos and goods of the bird here and there, which made me feel warm and fuzzy. On this day, I ordered the collaboration cake with the Long-tailed Tit. I decided to have a float as the set drink and they even added marshmallows. The cake was a cheesecake, and it had the perfect balance of cheese richness, lemon fragrance, and acidity, making it a not overly sweet, adult-like cheesecake. The marshmallows were not as sweet as I expected, with a fluffy and gentle taste. It looked like it would be delicious if eaten with a hot drink. The menu conveyed a focus on taste rather than just appearance. They also have donuts and pancakes on their regular menu, so I would like to visit again to try those. It seems that you can also play with the small birds if it's not close to closing time, so I highly recommend it to those who really love birds!!!

Finally, I visited my first bird cafe ever. Inside the cafe, there were lots of parakeets! It was my first time seeing so many birds outside of a pet shop! I made a reservation for 11:00 am and checked out the special "Nigikoroll" (where the parakeet rolls in the palm of your hand) available only on weekends and holidays. I also ordered the "Head Covered, Dust Revealed Float" and pancake set. The names were so fun and perfect for bird lovers. You can also pay extra for a "Fluffy Time" (500 yen for 5 minutes) where you can interact with the birds in a private room. The Nigikoroll came in a birdcage, which was a nice touch. The pancake even had a bird's tail flag. The food was pretty standard, but the coffee was delicious. During the Fluffy Time, you can interact with up to two birds. It was a unique experience to interact with birds different from the one I have at home. The shop also had a lot of cute bird-themed goods for sale. Even the restroom was bird-themed, with bird decorations everywhere. The quirky sense of humor in the cafe was really enjoyable. It felt like being at a bird-themed school festival. If I were to evaluate this cafe as a restaurant, even if you're not a bird lover, you can still have a good time enjoying the cafe like a theme park.

On Sunday, I called ahead around 4 pm before visiting the cafe. I ordered a cafe au lait and a 5-minute "fluffy time". I was so captivated by the parakeets that I forgot to take a picture of the cafe au lait, but it was a fairly large size like at Komeda's. It might have been a good deal considering the amount. First, I interacted with the Kakariki parakeet, who seemed the most used to people. Then, I met the lovebird named Ikura. Ikura is friends with the Scaley-headed parakeet, Uni, so the staff brought out Uni first before introducing Ikura. While I could pet the Kakariki parakeet, Ikura didn't let me touch him yet, but he did perch on my hand. It was my first time having a parakeet perch on my hand, so I was completely satisfied.

The birds at the restaurant were very cute and it was great that you could interact with them. The store had a lot of merchandise, so you could look around and buy souvenirs. It was nice to see many birds and they even sold bird feed. I wish they had more cockatoo merchandise. Hopefully, they will allow touching the birds again in the future.

I stopped by for tea. Once again, I was healed by the little birds.

I was completely charmed by the cuteness and soothing atmosphere. The inside of the shop was clean, and the female staff were kind and welcoming. The place was full of customers. I had the omurice for lunch, and the sweets were so cute that I want to come back for tea next time.

A shop where you can interact with birds. The main focus is on birds, so the food is decent but not bad. Compared to other bird cafes, you feel more surrounded by the birds and can enjoy just sitting there.

It would be nice if there were more fluffy time.
