Ramura's brands are mostly on Tabelog, showing their active marketing efforts. The restaurant I visited specializes in grilled chicken, and I had some expectations based on my previous experiences with their casual brand restaurants. The restaurant is part of the Torimoto brand, which has 21 locations, but has faced challenges with 4 closures in 2020. I arrived at the restaurant around 11:50 AM and found a calm atmosphere with a few customers. The menu had a seasonal limited item not listed outside.

The chicken was quite moist and there were about 6 pieces, which was satisfying, but personally, I prefer a crispy fried texture. It was a bit challenging to balance the tartar sauce with the brown rice, especially since the portion wasn't large and there was a rice thief called chicken nanban tartar. I left a bite of rice at the end to enjoy with the tartar sauce. It's a matter of preference when it comes to nanban, so I decided that next time, I'll go back to having oyakodon at this place.

Near the A7 exit, there is a yakitori restaurant in front of Sabouru, where yakitori starts from around 200 yen, which is very reasonable. They are generally delicious, but the limited white liver was not so great. The motsu stew has grated onions in it, giving it a thick and delicious texture. I was seated at a 2-person table near the entrance. In the back, there was someone having a meal while drinking draft beer. I looked at the menu while sipping the cold tea served. I was tempted by the Yakitori bowl, but at 1,280 yen, it seemed a bit expensive so I gave up. I chose the specialty dish made with secret broth, the Oyako-don with Okukujiru eggs (900 yen). It arrived in 4 minutes. The appearance was just a normal Oyako-don. I immediately tried a piece of the meat. The meat had a firm texture and a good flavor. The egg was not as gooey as I expected. The secret broth tasted a bit light. The rice was a bit hard, and since there was not enough broth, I wished there was more to make the rice a bit moister. The portion size was decent. It was enough to satisfy my hunger. It didn't meet my expectations, but I felt satisfied for the price. They accept credit cards and PayPay for payment.

I went to Jimbocho to eat the Napolitan dish at Sabouru 2, but it was closed. So, I decided to go to Komoro Soba instead, but I found a restaurant right across the street that caught my eye! I entered without hesitation. I arrived at 11:40 and was the first customer. I ordered the deep-fried young chicken set meal with grated ponzu sauce on brown rice, which I had checked out beforehand. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes, and to my surprise, there were 6 pieces of not-so-small pieces of deep-fried chicken! They were freshly fried and piping hot. The miso soup and rice were also hot. All of this for only ¥750 - what a great deal! As for the taste, the deep-fried chicken was crispy and went well with the grated ponzu sauce. The miso soup was a bit salty but still good. The brown rice had a unique aroma and was mixed with black rice rich in anthocyanins. As a fan of multigrain rice, I found this rice to be satisfying. They also offer rice bowls and bento boxes with minced meat and teriyaki chicken. I will definitely try them next time.

Located just off Suzuran Street in Jinbocho, this yakitori restaurant is right in front of Zaboru 2. I was interested in trying their "Yakitori Ju" but unfortunately, they weren't serving it today. Instead, I ordered the "Hinata Chicken Chicken Nanban Tartare" for 750 yen. I noticed that many others were ordering dishes like "Yurin Chicken" and "Oku Kuji Egg Oyakodon." The crispy coating on the chicken nanban was surprisingly crunchy, and the Hinata chicken meat was light and refreshing. The tartare sauce had a tangy and rich flavor, which balanced well with the lightness of the chicken. The portion was generous, and the tartare sauce was generously drizzled, making it a satisfying dish.

The fried chicken is really tasty, each piece is delicious. There are many places that specialize in large fried chicken nowadays, but this one is really good. It seems like a izakaya at night, but I came for lunch during the day. The restaurant is located in front of the famous "Sabouru," about a 30-second walk from Jimbocho Station. I originally wanted to eat curry, but I had a polyp removed from my colon two days ago and just got discharged from the hospital yesterday, so I had to go for a gentle dish for my wound, which ended up being oyakodon. Oyakodon comes with miso soup and pickles. The chicken and seasoning were delicious, but unfortunately it had onions, which I don't like. The oyakodon I know usually uses leeks instead of onions, so for me, this one missed the mark (laughs). By the way, there was a moment when David Bowie's "Only You" played in the restaurant and I almost started humming along (laughs).

The prices are reasonable, making it a convenient choice for lunch.

I was craving oyakodon, and my boss found a place for us to have it for lunch. It was a bit far, but I was excited for the oyakodon. I quickly ordered the oyakodon, choosing half brown rice instead of white rice. After a short wait, the oyakodon arrived. The egg was cooked well and the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. It opened in May. So, I decided to check it out. It's located on the south side of the Jimbocho intersection, so it's a bit far. I arrived at 1:40 pm, a bit late for lunch due to work. There were a few customers already seated, but it wasn't crowded at this time. The restaurant isn't very spacious, so it might get busy during peak hours. As a solo diner, I was seated at the counter where I could see the kitchen well. There were a couple of customers sitting next to me, and they seemed to have a good rapport. I was interested in the oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl), but the yakitori and minced chicken two kinds of rice bowl for 750 yen caught my eye. The rice bowl was served in about 7 minutes. The bowl was a deep red color with about half a serving of rice. One side was covered with minced chicken and the other side had grilled chicken thigh! In the sample picture, the chicken thigh was sliced, but the yakitori and minced chicken rice bowl had a different presentation. On top, there was a half-flavored boiled egg, and on the side, there was a simmered dish of watercress and shimeji mushrooms, adding a nice touch of color. Now, let's dig in. The minced chicken was not too sweet or too soy sauce-heavy, with a gentle flavor. The sauce was a bit on the generous side, but it was fine until the middle of the meal! The minced chicken was so tasty and went well with the rice. As for the chicken, it was cut into large pieces with a delightful elasticity. This meat had a satisfying texture... delicious! This rice bowl had a good amount of food and is a must-try for chicken lovers! The remaining rice at the end was soaked in sauce, making it a bit difficult to pick up with chopsticks!
