I saw some pictures on reviews and really wanted to go, so I decided to visit for lunch that day. I had been curious about this restaurant as I passed by it a few times. After taking off our shoes, we were guided to the second floor. The interior had a retro Showa era vibe. We ordered the following menu items:
- Set C: Chicken Green Curry with Gapaow Gai and Sunny-Side Up Egg for 1,180 yen. The set came with soup, salad, and dessert. The Green Curry had a rich coconut flavor that made me smile with satisfaction. My friend had praised the Green Curry from this restaurant before, and I could see why.
- Gapaow Gai with Sunny-Side Up Egg for 880 yen.
- Pho for 200 yen. The Pho in the set was not as mini-sized as I expected, and we shared it. The Gapaow Gai was consistently delicious, and the perfectly cooked sunny-side up egg was to my liking. Thank you for the meal.

I had a set meal of Gapao and curry for lunch. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We had our meal on the second floor in a tatami room where we had to take off our shoes, which was a bit disappointing. The soup was delicious. The Gapao and curry were also tasty. I'm curious about the other menu items, so I would like to go back again.

I ordered the C set, which included green curry and gapao with fried egg, for 1180 yen. The taste was delicious, but the portion was a bit small. Next time, I'll order the large size! The green curry was tasty with tender meat!

In January, my wife and I had dinner in the Otsuka area of Tokyo. For lunch, we decided to revisit that highly-rated Thai restaurant we enjoyed before. It's called Make My in the Otsuka area.
It had been a while since we last visited, but the second floor was still cramped and chaotic, so we chose a corner table by the window. We started with a toast, I had a Oolong Highball for 480 yen, while my wife had a Jasmine Highball for the same price. The drinks were served in jugs and had a good balance of flavors.
For starters, we ordered the Glass Noodle Salad for 880 yen. The unique Thai flavors were delicious. For the main course, we had Soft Shell Crab Curry Stir-Fry for 1,300 yen, which was flavorful and tasty. We also tried the Thai-style Fried Rice for 880 yen, which was simple yet delicious.
Lastly, we had the Make My Original Ramen for 990 yen. It had a Thai twist to it and was surprisingly delicious.
Overall, the food was simple yet rich in Thai flavors and very tasty. The restaurant was packed by the time we finished our meal, with a high number of female customers in the evening as well. It's a popular spot for both lunch and dinner. Thank you for the delicious meal!

We went around 12:30 with 2 people. The entrance gave the impression of "Is this really a restaurant?" It was so narrow. A staff member welcomed us in as we looked surprised. The interior of the restaurant was also narrow! Oh, there are stairs. The seating must be upstairs, right? We were guided upstairs with gestures. The seating area was about 4.5 tatami mats in size, with 4 tables for 2 people each. There were 2 groups of customers (3 people) already there. It felt like a completely different world by this point. The lunch set of Gapao was around 1,180 yen, I think... My companion chose this. Other customers also ordered this. So, I decided to order something different... I think the Green Curry was 880 yen, and I added a small Thai-style ramen for 200 yen. It was quite delicious! The Gapao seemed more fun though! The portion sizes were quite small, and my companion mentioned that it might have been better to order the Gapao with the small ramen. However, both female customers at the restaurant had left some of their Gapao, so it seems like it's better not to order too much on the first visit! For dessert, we were served a drink called "Seemy" (Coconut milk with tapioca pearls) at the beginning. It was like a surprise dessert in a Chinese restaurant. This was also good.

It's an old Japanese-style house, but the flavors are full of exotic charm. I visited for lunch on a weekday. Upon entering the shop, I was led to the second floor. There, it was a world of tatami mats, cushions, and low tables reminiscent of the Showa era. The only other customers were a foreign couple. They were fluent in Japanese though... Today, I had the basil stir-fried chicken = Gapao rice. My partner ordered the steamed chicken rice = Khao Man Gai. For an additional 200 yen, you can add Thai noodles = Pho, so we decided to try that too. While waiting for the food to arrive, the old lady at the shop made sure our tea was topped up and asked if the room temperature was comfortable. It was a very friendly service, without being intrusive. I really enjoy dining in a nice atmosphere like this. Today seems promising. When the Gapao rice was served, the first bite tasted a bit bland, but then the spiciness slowly kicked in. It was delicious. The rice was light and went perfectly with the Gapao. The Pho, which arrived later, was light in flavor but had a strong broth. They provide condiments like chili, fish sauce, chili-infused sweet vinegar, and sugar to customize the taste. Today, I tried adding fish sauce and chili. It added richness to the soup. Adding chili as an accent was also good. However, I recommend trying the original soup first before adding these condiments, about 1/3 of the way through. Finished it all. Thanks for the meal. On the way out, the old lady struck up a conversation, which was heartwarming. It was a great restaurant. I will definitely come back.

During lunchtime on my day off, I actually just had "tonkotsu ramen" in Takadanobaba, but my friend who went with me seemed unsatisfied and got off at Otsuka Station on the Yamanote Line. When I heard Otsuka, I couldn't resist getting green curry... and I ended up here. Even though my stomach was already full, I can still recommend the green curry here. It has a deep, stable flavor. Thank you for the meal.

I went to lunch with my colleagues. We ordered the Red Curry with Shrimp and Larb (I think) B set. It comes with salad, soup, and dessert. The flavors are not too spicy, but they have a nice saltiness typical of a hot country. The portion size is bigger than it looks, and I left feeling full. The display is unmistakably Thai, but it has a cozy feel like visiting a relative's house in the countryside. There's a high chance you'll be seated upstairs. You have to take off your shoes and climb up a steep, narrow staircase. You sit on the floor. Make sure to be prepared (difficult shoes to take off, dirty socks, back pain, etc.). Thank you for the meal.

Second visit. Recommended for being delicious, I dared to visit this place with a shady interior and steep stairs to the 2nd floor for a meal. It takes courage to enter. The lunch set with green curry, soup with cilantro, salad, and dessert costs 990 yen, and takeout curry is in the 500 yen range, which is very cheap. The dessert with corn mixed in is a unique touch. The steep stairs and heavy dishes served by elderly staff are a concern. The serving dishes are large wooden leaf plates and cool tin cups, making me worry about the difficulty of serving. Once again, I enjoyed the meal. Kopunka.

After leaving the hospital in Otsuka, I headed straight to Make My, thinking "I have to come here today!" I briefly hesitated when I saw the banner for Aotarou's summer special salt ramen on the hill nearby (laughs). Without hesitation, I ordered the Tom Yum Kung Ramen. Hmm, once again, the perfect sour and spicy flavor. First comes the sweetness, then the sourness and umami, and finally the spiciness hits you (laughs). But after taking a sip of the tea they served, the spiciness quickly fades away. The noodles were a bit too soft, which was a downside... I imagine it must have been tough to survive during the peak of the pandemic, but they managed to pull through. Finally, I had a coconut juice with tapioca, and it was truly refreshing (laughs).

The Thai restaurant always has a long line, with just one mom handling everything. I was able to get in without waiting during Golden Week. The seating on the second floor has steep stairs, making it a bit dangerous to go down. Going up, you definitely need the handrail. I was the only customer there. It was my first time, so I ordered the Yellow Curry. The taste was like it had medicinal herbs in it. The rice was probably shaped like Japanese rice and flipped onto the plate, so it didn't have a fluffy texture. There was a lot of ingredients in the curry. The decor on the second floor feels old and faded. Next time, I'll try something with meat.

I arrived a little after lunchtime and ordered the green curry, which most people seem to eat when they come here. It was delicious as always, a really good choice! I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal♪♪ TripAdvisor rating [3.48] Number of reviews [115] As of April 2022.

On a quiet afternoon in Otsuka, around 2 o'clock, I decided to go for lunch. I asked if it was okay, and was told it was fine. I climbed the steep stairs to the second floor, where there were about four tables and one customer already seated. I found out that the lunch menu was different from the dinner menu, with two options available but without detailed descriptions. As I could speak a little Thai, I chatted with the owner, who seemed pleased. I ordered the Khao Man Gai, a dish I had been wanting to try. The dish arrived quickly, served by the owner who also brought tea in a tin pot, creating a charming atmosphere. The Khao Man Gai was delicious, with a refreshing sauce and a sweet and savory garlic flavor that I enjoyed. Before I could finish, the owner kindly told me to take my time, but I couldn't help but devour it quickly. When I returned the empty plate, the owner seemed very happy and said, "Come back again." I nodded in agreement in simple Thai, promising to return for another delicious meal.

At the end of the year, I said goodbye to Ikebukuro and Otsuka, and during a lunch wander, I found Make My Day. When I entered the shop, the energetic mother instructed me to take off my shoes and go upstairs! I climbed the steep stairs to the second floor. It felt more like visiting someone's home than a shop.
What I had:
- Chicken and basil stir-fry ¥680
- Thai ramen ¥200
I was happy to try Thai cuisine as my companion liked it. Being a beginner in Thai food, I enjoyed it a lot. I really liked the energetic motherly staff ☺️ Thank you for the meal! ✨

I arrived after the lunch rush, and luckily there was one table available on the second floor. The familiar waiter greeted me warmly, and I ordered my usual Green Curry for ¥680 (tax included), which was as delicious as always. I will definitely come back again and order the Green Curry once more. Thank you for the meal♪

I went to a Thai restaurant in Otsuka with a friend. The entrance was small and the seating was on the second floor. Climbing the narrow and steep stairs, there were three tables in a Japanese-style room. The air conditioning was on, but because of ventilation, the wind from the open windows made it alternately warm and cold. Due to the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, alcohol was not being served, so I had jasmine tea instead. The fresh spring rolls had a lot of cabbage, similar to the salad served with it. The Thai-style deep-fried fish cakes were hot and crispy. The texture of the fish paste was a bit coarse but moist. For the main dishes, I had curry stir-fried with eggs and soft-shell crab. At first, the crispy flavor was strong, but the spiciness of the curry and the smoothness of the eggs blended well and tasted delicious. The additional rice was Japanese rice, perfectly cooked and complemented the curry stir-fry. As the tables filled up, it felt a bit cramped, but the aroma of the spices added to the atmosphere of enjoying home-cooked local dishes. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I decided to have some Thai food in Otsuka. I headed to a restaurant located near Otsuka Station North Exit. After crossing the road towards the side where Mizuho Bank is located, I continued towards the direction where Starbucks is, and noticed that there are some new sculptures and developments in this area. This is the bustling area known as "Otsuka Gin no Suzu Street", where various dining options are lined up. I walked along this street and turned right at the corner where Matsuya is located, and there are several small eateries lined up on the right side. The restaurant I visited is located in this area. I remember mistakenly entering the neighboring VIVO Otsuka instead of this place a while back, haha.
Ordered items:
- Chang Beer @680
- Thai fresh spring rolls (2 pieces) @680
- Yakitori @880
- Thai-style fried rice @780 (Khao Pad) *Choose from pork, chicken, or shrimp
Upon entering the restaurant, I took off my shoes and was guided to the second floor. There were a few tables in the tatami room on the first floor, but it seemed like they weren't seating customers there. The room had a mix of Thai and Japanese decorations, creating a unique atmosphere. I started with the Chang Beer, which was refreshing and easy to drink. For the food, I ordered the spring rolls and the intriguing "yakitori". The spring rolls had a nice crunchy texture from the vegetables, and the dipping sauce had a slightly spicy kick. The "yakitori" was not skewered like traditional yakitori but was grilled chicken with a spicy twist, which added to the Thai flavor experience. It was delicious. Feeling hungry, I decided to order one more dish - the Thai-style fried rice (Khao Pad). It had a subtle spiciness and a gentle flavor that made it very easy to eat. The food here was easygoing and enjoyable, and the friendly elderly lady added to the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

It had been a while since I visited for lunch. The restaurant was crowded, but we managed to secure a table. I ordered the set with Gapao and Seafood Curry Stir-fry. However, the food took a long time to come out, over 30 minutes of waiting. The taste was delicious and the portion was generous, but the long wait left me feeling tired.

The curry boom has arrived for me. I visited a place nearby on a weekday after 1:30 PM, climbing up a narrow staircase to the second floor for lunch. I ordered a set menu with Gapao and Green Curry for 990 yen, which came with soup, salad, and dessert. The Green Curry was quite spicy with tender chicken. It was quite a generous portion, and my stomach is now full. Thank you for the meal.

In December, I had lunch in the Otsuka area of Tokyo. I finally decided to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while, Make My @ Otsuka. The restaurant is located in a dining area near Otsuka Station. The exterior made me hesitate a bit, but I decided to go in. The interior has a small space on the first floor where some people were dining, but I preferred the second floor which had a cozy atmosphere with a few tables. There were mostly female customers, and it seemed like some were regulars. The menu had a wide variety of options for less than 1,000 yen. I chose the Gai Pad Krapow and Green Curry lunch set for 990 yen. It came with rice topped with a fried egg, Gai Pad Krapow, Green Curry, soup, mini salad, and dessert. The presentation was nice and the taste was satisfying without being too overpowering. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal and would like to try more dishes in the future. The unique atmosphere of the restaurant may be a bit intimidating, but the food and value make it worth a visit. I had a great dining experience at Make My @ Otsuka.
