Located about 3 minutes north of Minamitanabe Station in Abeno Ward, on Abiko Street in front of Abeno Ward Office, is Tempura Kozaki. This restaurant offers an exquisite tempura course (with kakiage) for a reasonable price of 4620 yen. The tempura has a crispy and light finish, with the flavors of the ingredients coming through beautifully. Particularly noteworthy is the refreshing aftertaste of the tempura dipping sauce and salt. The affordability of the menu, even for those who enjoy drinking alcohol, adds to the charm of this place. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a mix of local regulars and families. Overall, there is nothing to complain about here. Visited in April 2022: I received a message from a sake enthusiast recommending the tempura at this place, so I decided to check it out. The restaurant operates in two shifts, starting from 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. I arrived for the later shift and opted for the tempura course with kakiage. The menu consisted of 10 tempura dishes, rice, and kakiage, with the option to make substitutions if needed. I started with a highball and enjoyed the welcoming appetizer of simmered bamboo shoots. The tempura was light and crispy, with a delightful balance of flavors. The tempura sauce and salt complemented the dishes perfectly, making it easy to indulge in more tempura. The standout dishes included the shrimp, asparagus, and young ayu fish. The tempura of firefly squid and bamboo shoots were also excellent. I ended the meal with a satisfying shrimp kakiage and rice bowl, feeling content with the quality and value of the experience. The total bill came to just over 7500 yen, making it a worthwhile dining experience. The family-run atmosphere and the mix of regular customers added to the overall enjoyment. Despite the popularity of the place, I look forward to visiting again in the future.

I was eagerly looking forward to visiting again! Tempura is often associated with high-end dining, but this place offers delicious tempura at a reasonable price, with a relaxed atmosphere and jazz music playing in the background - I always enjoy coming here! The pike conger was delicious, and I also tried the ginkgo nuts. It goes well with beer, champagne, white wine, and sake! I'll have to remember to call on the 1st to make reservations for next time... there are too many popular restaurants to choose from on that day. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The head of the shrimp junsa soup, car shrimp, shrimp and shiso wrap, asparagus, sweet snapper, Manjūji, fresh lotus root, young ayu, anago, eggplant with skin, young corn. Additional: new sweet potatoes, new onions, cheese, hamo. The master always works hard. Thank you very much.

Last time, we had ingredients like butterbur sprouts that signal the arrival of spring, but this time we enjoyed ingredients like bamboo shoots, fava beans, asparagus, and young sweetfish. Asparagus has a strong sweetness and an impressive flavor. They were prepared as tempura in the best condition, and I am satisfied this month as well.

The thinly sliced clothes are crispy and bring out the flavor of the ingredients. At the end, tempura is served. You can choose to eat it with just salt, as a tempura bowl, or as tempura tea. I chose tempura tea and it was delicious! The cost performance is excellent. The course is 4500 yen and sake starts from 600 yen per cup, making it quite affordable. It's difficult to make a reservation, but it's a great restaurant. I'm looking forward to my next visit in 7 months!

It was quite difficult to make a reservation here, so I had someone else help me get in. It was my first visit! This is a counter-only restaurant. When I ordered a beer, a fried shrimp head appetizer was served first. After that, the dishes were as shown in the photos. The simmered burdock from Yao had a gentle flavor and a crunchy texture that spread in my mouth. The fried crab meat and the bitterness of spring vegetables were also delicious, and they went well with wine and sake (which I forgot to take a picture of). I also ordered additional young corn and onions to eat! Even though I ate and drank so much, the cost performance is good and reasonable, but it's hard to get a reservation... (T.T) Thank you for the meal.

Osaka Bunno Sato Tempura Kozaki is a place that specializes in tempura. It has a rating of 3.33 on Tabelog and is a bit of a walk from both Tennoji and Showacho. It is located near Abeno Ward Office. This is a counter-style restaurant where you can enjoy tempura dishes in a light and crispy manner at a reasonable price. The highball is recommended. The tempura course costs 4400 yen and includes 10 varieties of tempura along with kakiage. The tempura dishes are difficult to capture in photos. Thank you very much! It was a delicious meal!

I made a reservation starting at 5:30 PM on a weekday. I booked it half a month in advance because it's a popular restaurant. I chose a seat at the counter. For my course, I had tempura served on rice, topped with kakiage tempura, and then poured tea over it to make "tencha." Having tempura made by someone else is a great experience.

It's delicious. That's all I can say. The tempura was very delicious from start to finish. Today, I had the special grilled frost (reservation required). The shrimp, shrimp with shiso leaf, matsutake mushroom, conger eel, smelt, lotus root, eggplant, baby corn, conger eel, sweet potato, and the finishing tempura were all excellent. Thank you for the meal.

I was taken out to dinner on a regular evening. We met at the subway Minami-Morimachi Station in the evening and headed to Tempura Kozaki, which is located just a short walk from the subway Minami-Morimachi Station. It is a renowned restaurant known for its delicious tempura. The restaurant has only 8 counter seats and operates in two shifts from 17:30- and 19:30-. When we went, they were only open from 17:30 due to shortened hours. The menu offers an omakase course and a kakiage set course. The omakase course includes appetizers, 10 pieces of tempura, rice, and pickles, while the kakiage set course includes kakiage along with the omakase dishes. We opted for the kakiage set course that day. First, we ordered drinks. I started with a bottle of Ebisu beer in a tin tumbler, which was excellent. The menu displayed the ten tempura items for the day. If there are any items you don't like, they can be changed according to the menu below. The appetizer was a vinegar dish with jun-sai, which was refreshing and had a smooth texture. Next, I switched to white wine, a Koshu wine that I ordered by the bottle. The wine had a great mouthfeel and was very easy to drink. We also ordered grilled conger eel, which was delicious and went well with the drinks. Then, the tempura dishes started to arrive one by one. Each item was freshly fried and delicious. The tempura dishes included shrimp, shrimp-wrapped in shiso leaf, fresh lotus root, conger eel, sandfish, and more, all served with a flavorful dipping sauce. The tempura was crispy and perfectly cooked, enhancing the flavors of the ingredients. We also enjoyed a bottle of Japanese sake, followed by a glass of dry sake and then a bottle of Kuro Ryu Natsu Shibori. The tempura dishes continued with items like eggplant, eel, and a variety of vegetables, all of which were fried to perfection. The meal ended with a delicious kakiage and rice, which I enjoyed by sprinkling a little salt and turning it into a tempura tea. Overall, the restaurant provided a delightful dining experience with friendly service and expertly prepared tempura dishes at a reasonable price. It has become one of my favorite places, and I look forward to returning for another meal soon. Cheers!

There is a restaurant located about 5 minutes from Minoh Station on the Subway Tanimachi Line. The restaurant has only 8 counter seats, so we made a reservation and visited with two people. It was our first visit. The meal starts at 5:30 pm. We started with beer, as usual. The appetizer was bone senbei and fried shrimp legs, which were both delicious and crispy. Next, we had crab and broccoli with egg yolk vinegar dressing, which was also tasty. Then, we were served a variety of tempura, with 10 different kinds being brought out one by one. They were all delicious, but we especially enjoyed the crab meat and lotus root tempura. The drinks kept coming, from cold sake to highball. For the final dish, we had sakura shrimp tempura served with green tea. The sakura shrimp was fragrant and delicious. We would like to visit this restaurant again in the future.

It's been a while since I had tempura at Kozaki-san's place. The opportunity doesn't come often, but the cost performance is excellent. The cold winter melon, shrimp, matsutake mushroom, asparagus, shiitake mushroom, eggplant, lotus root, and sweet potato were all delicious. Thank you for the feast! Thank you as always.

Upon returning from America, my son requested to go to a tempura restaurant. I remembered a place I had wanted to try before and decided to give them a call. Luckily, they had a cancellation and were able to accommodate us. From the initial interaction to the subtle attentiveness, the behavior was impeccable. I used to think that such places had a high threshold, but I felt embarrassed for assuming so. We had a thoroughly satisfying experience from start to finish, and it was a wonderful restaurant where we felt glad to have visited. A new favorite spot has been born, and I am tempted to make it a regular haunt.

A tempura restaurant with only a counter. They serve freshly fried tempura at a relatively reasonable price. We started with a toast with beer, which was served in a bottle but tasted amazing in a glass. The tempura dishes were fried one after another and served piping hot and delicious. I had a sudden craving for tempura, so I asked around and ended up visiting this small restaurant. They have a total turnover at 5:30 pm and 7:40 pm, with a complete change of oil each time. The restaurant has a cozy counter with 8 seats. You can choose between a course with or without mixed tempura. After finishing the course, you can order additional items. The tempura is freshly fried with a crispy coating, the shrimp is plump, and the sweet potato is deliciously sweet. I am always satisfied whenever I visit. I need to add photos next time. Overall rating: 4.5 Taste: 5 They serve seasonal ingredients that are carefully prepared. Value for money: 5 You can leave with a full stomach at a great price. Atmosphere: 5 Whether you chat with the chef or quietly enjoy your meal, the atmosphere is great. The only downside is that it's hard to make a reservation. That's why I rated it 4.5 stars!
