Yamamoto's okonomiyaki restaurant was ranked 70th out of the top 100 restaurants in the Okonomiyaki Hyakumeiten 2022 ranking on Tabelog, with an overall rating of 3.54. I visited on Saturday, November 26th at 7:35 pm. Despite it being a Saturday night, I thought it wouldn't be too crowded, but I was surprised to see a huge line from a distance. I ended up being the 25th person waiting outside (with a few more waiting inside), and waited for about an hour before getting a seat. The system involved taking orders in advance while waiting outside, so once seated, the food was served quickly. The negiyaki and okonomiyaki here had a firm texture, unlike the fluffy ones I've had before. The signature negiyaki had a delicious combination of plenty of green onions and soy sauce. It had the same great taste as the main store in Juso that I had visited before. Yamamoto's negiyaki has a slightly stronger soy sauce flavor compared to other top 100 restaurants, which can be a divisive point depending on personal preference. The okonomiyaki was also well-balanced in terms of sauce and other condiments, showing Yamamoto's expertise. The taste was consistent with the main store, offering a reliable deliciousness. The only downside is the long wait time due to the large line at both the main store and this branch.

The stability of deliciousness❗ The staff's service is great, and watching the auntie handle the negiyaki rush is impressive (laughs). I've tried negiyaki from various places, but this is my favorite. The bottled beer was ice-cold and fantastic✨ The prices were a bit higher, but considering the current situation, it's understandable!! I will definitely visit again when I come to Osaka.

The chewy texture of the dough, combined with the flavor of dashi, the sweetness of green onions, and the savory taste of lemon and soy sauce, was delicious. The bonito flakes and beef tendons added a nice touch and paired well with alcohol - the fresh lemon sour and cucumber were also delicious. We arrived around 6pm on a weekday and the restaurant was starting to get full. Thank you for the meal.

In Osaka at night, we planned to go to a seafood restaurant but gave up due to a 1-1.5 hour wait. We found a negiyaki (green onion pancake) restaurant on the way back and waited 30-40 minutes. The negiyaki was 1330 yen and the omu soba (omelette over noodles) was 920 yen. The prices were high for a challenge, but the food was delicious even though the negiyaki didn't have as much green onion as expected. The suji (beef tendon) and omu soba were quite tasty.

This was my first time at Yamamoto! We were lucky to not have to wait in line when we arrived around 8pm, so we were seated right away. The negiyaki (green onion pancake) with lemon soy sauce was light and delicious, especially the beef tendons. The omusoba (omelette over noodles) was a bit bland for my taste. The butatama (pork and egg) was the most delicious dish we ordered! Finally getting to try the famous Yamamoto was satisfying. As we left, we noticed a few people lining up, confirming its popularity. I would love to visit the main store next time.
There is a negiyaki restaurant in Osaka called Umeda-ten. The main store has a traditional atmosphere, but this one is more modern. In addition to negiyaki, they also serve okonomiyaki and yakisoba, but the most popular items here are the sujiyaki and butayaki. They are incredibly delicious and go perfectly with beer. It's irresistible. The best.

I used it for dinner. When I arrived after 5 pm, there was already a line of one group and it was bustling. There were many foreigners as well. I waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. I ordered the grilled beef tendon with green onions. It was served in about 20 minutes. As for the taste, it had a strong dashi flavor, combined with the aroma of green onions, and was very delicious! The beef tendon also added a nice accent. The fact that green onions are generously used is a bit different from okonomiyaki. It goes well with beer and is a good place to use for a casual first stop.

I felt like having negiyaki for the first time in a while, so I visited this restaurant. Since it was hot, I ordered a draft beer while waiting for the negiyaki. I decided to order the Seafood Deluxe Negiyaki (1560 yen). I hesitated between the regular negiyaki and the seafood one, but as a seafood lover, I couldn't resist. I was able to enter the restaurant smoothly as it was not during lunchtime, so I relaxed while waiting. The negiyaki arrived after being cooked. It was already seasoned with soy sauce and lemon. The negiyaki was very tender, with shrimp, squid, and scallops inside the dough. The dough, which was kneaded with yam, had a very chewy texture and was delicious. I finished it in no time. It's a delicious restaurant.

I agreed to go out for a meal with a junior colleague from work and we decided to go to this restaurant. I have been to the main branch a few times before and the food is undeniably delicious. However, just like the main branch, the overall customer service is terrible. It seems like the staff have not been properly trained, as many of them have a bad attitude. They all seem to have a condescending attitude and atmosphere. It's a shame because the food is so good. Unless you really have a craving for their negiyaki, it's hard to feel motivated to go to this hit-or-miss restaurant.

- Ordered items: Deluxe negiyaki (green onion pancake), Deluxe seafood okonomiyaki (savory pancake), Deluxe yakisoba (stir-fried noodles)
- Cuisine: A mix of Osaka specialties. I've tried dishes like modanyaki before, but this was my first time having negiyaki. The batter didn't have much binding, giving it a crumbly texture, but I could still taste the deliciousness of the negiyaki. The okonomiyaki was also simple yet tasty! The yakisoba had thick noodles with a chewy texture that paired perfectly with the sauce. Overall, it was a lovely restaurant experience.

I arrived at around 3 o'clock. As expected, it was not crowded at this time. I ordered the negi (green onion) and omu soba (noodle with omelette). The omu soba had chewy noodles and a spicy sauce. The negi was light and refreshing, with a hint of lemon. The first bite of the negi was so crunchy, it was irresistible. These two dishes were too much for one person to finish. I managed to eat it all, but felt really full afterwards. Compared to the main branch, this branch has more spacious seating and a drier atmosphere, which might be a good thing.

As expected from a popular restaurant, the food was delicious. However, I felt a bit rushed, probably to increase turnover. They offer several craft beers on tap, but the service was not very good. Next time, I'll try the negiyaki and bottled beer.

On the second day in Osaka, for lunch we had okonomiyaki at a famous restaurant near Osaka Station called Negiyaki Yamamoto. Even though it was before noon, there was already a long line. After waiting for 40 minutes, we finally got our order of negiyaki, okonomiyaki, and bottled beer. The food was cooked on a large iron plate and brought to our table. The negiyaki, made with beef tendon, was topped with a soy-based sauce and was light and creamy inside with plenty of beef tendon, green onions, and konjac. The okonomiyaki, with pork, shrimp, and squid, was covered in a savory sauce and mayonnaise. Both dishes were delicious and paired well with the beer. Osaka truly knows how to make delicious flour-based dishes.

I went to Est Yamamoto because it was close to the station! It had been a while since I last visited. It was my first time at a restaurant in Est! There were a few groups waiting, but I was seated quickly! There were counter seats and table seats, and I chose the counter seat. In front of me was a teppanyaki plate, chopsticks, and a spatula. There were no wet towels. I ordered the popular No.1 dish, the suji negi for ¥1330. It came with soy sauce and lemon already on it, so I could eat it without adding anything. I also got some shichimi to add if I wanted. The konnyaku was firm and the suji was tender and delicious. It was nice to be able to eat it fresh and hot (*^^*).

Around 1:00 PM on holidays, they take orders from a line with a wait time of 20-30 minutes, so once you are seated, the food comes fairly quickly. The most popular dish is the suji negi yaki, which I tried for the first time. It had plenty of green onions and a nice lemon flavor that wasn't too heavy. It was delicious!

Umeda Station is a 5-minute walk away. When it comes to Osaka, you have to try their flour-based dishes! A local friend recommended a restaurant for me, so I decided to check it out for the first time. It was a Sunday lunchtime, so there was a long line... I think I waited for about 40 minutes. But it was worth the wait. When you place your order, they cook the food and bring it to you to heat up on the iron griddle right in front of you. I can't eat green onions, but this restaurant is known for their green onion okonomiyaki. It's mixed into the batter, so you can't take it out, and I was a bit worried about how it would taste. But when I tried it, the green onion flavor wasn't strong at all, and it was actually kind of sweet! I finished it all in no time. I can see why this place is so popular and always has a long line. I heard that you can't add more items to your order once you've placed it because it's such a busy place. Some people around me even ordered green onion okonomiyaki to take home as a souvenir. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I tried negiyaki for the first time, which was much lighter than I expected! When you think of Osaka, you usually think of takoyaki and okonomiyaki as the local specialties, but negiyaki was also delicious! I ordered the most popular dish, suji negiyaki, which is made with beef tendons and konjac with a soy sauce-based sauce that is not too heavy. It was really tasty!

When I went on a Saturday, there was a long line, so I came back on a weekday and was able to get in smoothly (maybe because it was raining). At Negiyaki Yamamoto, I had the Deluxe Yakisoba, which was cooked on a hot plate and topped with squid, beef, pork, and a sunny-side-up egg. It was perfectly done, with the sauce coating everything just right. Eating it while it's hot is great! It was delicious~

Arrived around 11:00 on Sunday. There was a long line of people waiting for the restaurant to open. Once the first group of customers went in, the staff handed out menus and took orders. We were seated about 30 minutes after the restaurant opened. The beef tendon and leek yakitori cost 1330 yen, while the squid and leek yakitori cost 1100 yen. The yakitori had a fluffy texture and a light seasoning, making it easy to eat a lot of them. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious, and since orders were taken in advance, the waiting time was minimal. Just make sure to let them know all the items you want to eat when you place your order, as additional orders (yakitori) cannot be made later.

I visited a popular restaurant known for its negi (green onion) dishes. There was already a line forming before opening time on a weekday, and it continued to grow as more people arrived. The staff seemed a bit like craftsmen, maybe a little bit intense, but it didn't bother me. The negiyaki (green onion pancake) had a lot of green onions and was very satisfying for someone who loves green onions! It was delicious, thank you for the meal!
