After visiting the Prefectural Botanical Garden and the Garden of Ceramic Plate Masterpieces, I stopped by this place. It's also nice to eat on the lawn at the Prefectural Botanical Garden before going. I purchased the following items: Sosisfisel for 240 yen - a long, thin sausage wrapped in bread. Lemon Cheese Tart for 270 yen - a baked treat, suitable for souvenirs. Small plastic bag for 3 yen, tea for 100 yen for 500ml. The receipt includes the names of the items. Thank you for the meal.

They have a wide variety of Danish pastries. They are all crispy and delicious! While sweet Danish pastries are common, this shop also offers a rare ham and cheese option that is very tasty, so I recommend it. Next, I plan to try their sandwich options.

Located in Kitayama, Kyoto, Panwest Hyakumeiten Marie France Kitayama is where I visited for a curry bread tour. Their curry bread is fried to a nice crispy texture, giving off a fragrant aroma from its appearance. Indeed, the crispy texture adds to its deliciousness. The curry sauce is of a standard taste, but it pairs well with the bread, creating a well-balanced curry bread. A wild curry bread that contrasts with the cute store. I was truly enchanted. Thank you for the meal.

It is located about a 4-minute walk from Kitayama Station. The "Baron Sweet Potato and Thick-cut Bacon Crispy Bread" costs 280 yen. It contains fluffy potatoes, bacon, and mozzarella cheese. The peppery seasoning and chewy mozzarella cheese are very delicious. The bread is firm on the outside but thin, making it easy to eat, and the bread itself is also delicious. The overall feeling is gentle and quite to my liking. The "Sosisson" costs 200 yen and is a bread with a pale sausage inside. (It feels like there are herbs inside...) The sausage skin is thin, making it easy to bite through. The bread dough is crispy on the outside, thin, yet chewy. The bread dough here is gentle and delicious.

I went to this restaurant the other day, which was closed on its regular holiday. It was around 11:55 am, but there were still plenty of bread left. When I asked for a recommendation, I was suggested to try the red bean paste bun and curry bun. I chose the unique mochi-style red bean paste bun and the curry bun out of the three types of red bean paste buns available. I paid 464 yen with my mobile payment app and left. I had them later at home for dinner, and the mochi-style red bean paste bun was mostly filled with red bean paste, so it was okay. The curry bun was just average.

I bought a heavy and substantial red bean paste bread that weighed 200 grams. It had so much red bean paste that you couldn't see the bread dough - it felt like eating just the red bean paste itself. I also bought a cream puff and a croissant with nuts inside, which had a subtly sweet taste.

Located in Kitayama, this bakery has a white facade with a red roof as a landmark. The interior is small, but there are many types of bread displayed. I purchased the following items: Frankfurter Mayo for 190 yen - A fluffy, soft bread wrapped around a frankfurter with mayo on top. It's a popular combination that is packed with the flavor of the sausage. Country Mozzarella Cheese for 175 yen - A round, white bread filled with Danish mozzarella. I had it reheated. The bread is slightly salty and chewy. When warmed up, the mozzarella inside melts and oozes out generously. As the cheese cools and solidifies, it changes to a chewy texture, which is interesting. Simple and delicious. With a variety of bread available in the store, you are likely to find your favorite. A bakery worth visiting if it's in the neighborhood.

【Selected as one of the Top 100 Bread Shops in Tabelog Pan WEST 2022】【Selected as one of the Top 100 Bread Shops in Tabelog Pan WEST 2020】Trip to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya. I visited a bakery located about a 3-minute walk from Kitayama Station along Kitayama Street in Kyoto. When I entered the shop with a red roof, I found a wide variety of reasonably priced bread displayed, giving off a down-to-earth vibe. Photography inside the shop is prohibited. The popular item here is the anpan, but based on my friend's recommendation, I also bought some pastries with coarse red bean paste and small bread. ◆Items received・Homemade coarse red bean paste pastry・Croissant・Croissant au Beurre・Petit bread・Puff pastry・Homemade coarse red bean paste pastryA pastry with a crushed feeling, made of Danish dough filled with homemade coarse red bean paste. The red bean paste was deliciously sweet, and the Danish dough was also deliciously sweet.・CroissantI bought both types of croissants available. They had a fluffy texture and were delicious, making them perfect to eat with a meal.・Croissant au BeurreMade with 100% Hokkaido fresh butter, this croissant had a crispy exterior and a moist interior, making it delicious. There were plenty of bread options that were down-to-earth and easy to enjoy. Thank you for the meal.

I visited near closing time, and it seems like there are quite a few items left today. They have baguettes and batards. It feels like a convenient everyday bakery. The bread is delicious as usual, especially the batard, donuts, and curry bread.

Popular bakery "Marie France" in Kitayama. The main store is located in Imadegawa. The interior of the store has a cozy atmosphere. There are many side dish breads, but there is not a particularly tempting bread. The ○ Yomogi An (¥210) is the signature product. This one really caught my eye. I can't forget the weight when I picked it up with tongs. And the cross-section! It's almost all red bean paste. Can this be called bread? Haha The red bean paste is moist with grainy texture. The sweetness is strong. The mugwort flavor of the dough is surprisingly fragrant despite its thinness. When combined with the red bean paste, it gives off a somewhat Japanese atmosphere. The ○ Croque-monsieur (¥180) has the acidity of tomatoes, and the crispiness of onions. What stood out the most was the strong and crispy texture of the bread crust. Anyway, the red bean paste bun was overwhelmingly good.

I visited this bakery when I went to the Kitayama area. I couldn't buy a lot because I had already been to other bakeries, but I wanted to try their anpan. Besides the one I bought this time, they had other varieties like yomogi and grilled mochi types. I also noticed delicious-looking sandwiches, pastries, savory bread, and slightly longer loaves of bread that caught my eye, but I chose a cheese-filled bread for another day. The anpan was quite heavy with a solid weight, especially the red bean paste filling! If I lived nearby, I would probably buy it occasionally since I love red bean paste. The walnut camembert bread had a soft bread texture despite its appearance. When I cut it, the camembert was generously filled inside! This was delightful. The flavor of walnut and camembert was good, and I think it's recommended for cheese lovers. It had a vibe of a slightly lovely bakery that could make everyday dining more enjoyable! If it were nearby, I would definitely want to visit as it's the type of place I'd like to use regularly.

Located on Kitayama Street, lined with numerous bakeries. The relatively small store gives off a strong local vibe. While the overall lineup wasn't particularly extensive, the balance of genres is good. Each bread has a simple and clean form, exuding elegance. The sandwich selection is also extensive, catering well to morning and lunch needs. Croissant au Beurre (237 yen) made with 100% fresh butter, has a strong salty flavor. The crispy yet moist texture was delightful. Pain au Chocolat (226 yen) features chocolate in a bar-shaped pastry, offering a subtly sweet and fragrant taste. Choco Cornet (205 yen) is generously filled with rich chocolate cream, with a satisfying, not overly sweet finish suitable for adults. Melon Pan (205 yen) has a distinctive striped appearance, with a thin biscuit crust that melts in the mouth. Apple and Cinnamon Bread (237 yen) wraps syrup-soaked apple, raisins, and cinnamon cream in Danish pastry, creating a satisfying taste and texture reminiscent of apple pie.

I went to Kitayama Station and bought bread at Marie France Kitayama store. Inside the shop with a bright atmosphere, there were various types of bread displayed. I purchased Bacon Brioche and Yaki Mochi Bread. The Bacon Brioche is made by wrapping finely chopped bacon in a semi-hard baguette and baking it. It seems like it could also be a tasty snack with the salty taste of bacon and the spiciness of black pepper. The Yaki Mochi Bread looks like a grilled rice cake on the outside, but inside it is filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. This bread is irresistible for those who love sweet red bean paste and the combination of sweet red bean paste and thin bread. There were many unique and tempting bread options that made me want to try them.

I ordered takeout for the first time in a while. I went early in the morning, so there were only a few items available, and I bought freshly made ones. I chose a chocolate croissant and a Camembert sandwich with French bread. Both had a nice balance of flavors, and I now want to try other breads as well.

Visited on Sunday, no wait at 16:00, left at 16:05. About a 10-minute walk from Kitayama Station. It's a spacious bakery with a sense of cleanliness. The highlight is the red bean paste in 95% of the anpan! The skin is firm yet thin. It's a mystery. The taste is not overly sweet at all. The coarse red bean paste adds a nice accent, making it easy to eat. It doesn't feel heavy at all. It was a bread with a strange sensation.

There is a popular restaurant located in a nice area from Kitayama Station in Kyoto! (^-^) They have a wide variety of bread with a sweet taste, which is to my liking. o(^o^)o I heard that they are very particular about the filling in their red bean paste buns. I tried several sweet items today, and they were really delicious! ("⌒∇⌒") If you visit early in the day, there might be more options available, so I would like to go again. Thank you for the meal.
