I chose this Okinawan cuisine restaurant this time, which was next to the previous one. The menu is the same, but the atmosphere here is more calm. It may vary depending on personal preference. I enjoyed the squid pancake, bitter melon tempura, and the reliable pork soba at the end. It makes me want to visit Okinawa. Thank you for the meal.

I got off at Daiba Hashi Station for the first time and tried Okinawan cuisine after a long time. I had high expectations. I ordered both classic Okinawan dishes and some dishes with names I didn't recognize since I have never been to Okinawa. In conclusion, everything was delicious. The prices were reasonable, making it easy to order without breaking the bank. When I crave Okinawan cuisine again, I will definitely come back.

Located within walking distance from Daitabashi Station, at the back of the popular Mezzoare Daitoshi Market, is an Okinawan restaurant. It is recommended to make a reservation before visiting due to its popularity. The restaurant has a traditional old house-like appearance. To start, try the freshly squeezed Shikuwasa (Okinawan citrus) sour, perfect for the hot summer weather. The appetizer consists of colorful fresh vegetables with plenty of meat miso spread on top. For a drinking snack, try the crispy pork. Switch to Awamori, and enjoy the spring roll curry with crispy texture. Order various dishes like Mozuku tempura, Rafute (Okinawan braised pork belly), Tebichi (Okinawan pig's feet), and Duru tempura, and enjoy them with your drinks. Personally, I highly recommend the Duru tempura and Tebichi, they are delicious! Each dish has a substantial portion, so we ended up not being able to order the dessert we had planned. However, my companion ordered the sugarcane ice cream for dessert, which was crunchy and delicious. The atmosphere here makes you feel like you are in Okinawa, and it is a wonderful and affordable restaurant.

I love Okinawan cuisine so I have always wanted to visit Shin-Okubo Okinawa Town. Among them, I went to this restaurant that looked the most delicious. The steamed vegetables and meat miso for the appetizer were delicious, and dishes like dole tempura, yushi tofu, rafute, somin chanpuru, and tempura were all delicious. And, in my quest to conquer Japanese sake from all 47 prefectures, I finally got to try the only sake from Okinawa, "Reimei," which seemed like the most challenging.

I visited the restaurant around 6pm on a weekday. The second floor was not available for seating, so I sat on the first floor. The staff were friendly and explained the daily recommendations in detail. The Rafute was simmered to perfection and deliciously tender. Also, the purple sweet potato croquettes were rich and absolutely amazing.

This is Suginami. It's the Okinawa Town near Daitabashi. I was surprised by the lively atmosphere on a Saturday, as I had only visited on quiet weekdays before! Every shop was packed, and I enjoyed trying new dishes like mozuku seaweed and GURUKUN's fried chicken. It feels like you're at a Okinawan izakaya and you can really enjoy yourself. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited this Okinawan restaurant for the first time with my senior from college. While Okinawan cuisine may be available in urban areas, it feels somewhat rare in rural areas. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and the staff are kind and polite, making it easy to ask questions if needed. We tried various dishes such as mozuku seaweed, dōru ten (Okinawan tempura), rafute (braised pork belly), yakitori-style tebichi (pig trotters), and Okinawan soba, all of which were delicious and enjoyable. There was a wide selection of awamori (Okinawan distilled spirit) and Orion beer to choose from, and I personally really liked the Ukon (turmeric) tea mixed with awamori. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to those who want to try Okinawan cuisine in Tokyo. If I have the chance, I would love to visit again.

I deliberately chose not to go for the lunch set and instead ordered Goya Champuru with a side of Yushi Tofu Soba for my meal. It had been a while since I last had these dishes, and they were absolutely delicious. I appreciated being able to order from the regular menu during lunchtime as well. The timing was a bit off, but it allowed me to relax and enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace.

I visited Little Okinawa at Daitabashi for lunch and ordered the Soki soba set with a Shikuwasa sour. The Soki soba had a rich bonito broth with clear soup, topped with fish cake and seaweed. The curly noodles were well-coated in the broth, giving a smooth and chewy texture. The pork was tender and flavorful, satisfyingly large in size. The set menu also included miso soup, rice with pickled red radish, and silky tofu with a rich and firm texture. The restaurant played BEGIN's music in the background, along with the sound of a pressure cooker cooking the pork. I would love to try other menu items like the Do-ru tempura. I also bought some Sata Andagi and black sugar at the shopping street. Little Okinawa at Daitabashi is a place not to be underestimated.

After entering a small path near Dai Tabashi Bridge and walking further into a row of eateries, I ordered the Goya Champuru set meal (950 yen) at an Okinawan cuisine restaurant. The portion of bitter melon was generous, providing a satisfying meal. The slight bitterness was not bothersome. The miso served with rice complemented the dish very well. The jasmine tea served was also highly praised.

Located in a small arcade in Okinawa Town near Dai Tabashi, this restaurant offers a variety of lunch options for under 1000 yen. The lunch set includes a main dish, side dishes, rice, miso soup, and pickles. I decided to play it safe and ordered the Goya Champuru set, which was quite satisfying with its generous portion of rice and stir-fried squid and eggs. However, the main dish, thinly sliced Spam meat (or possibly corned beef), felt a bit lacking. The flavor was mild and not too strong. The restaurant interior was filled with cooking smoke, so it's not recommended to wear fancy clothes. There were rows of sake bottles inside, so I imagine the atmosphere would be even livelier in the evening.

I was walking around looking for a soba restaurant when I stumbled upon this Okinawa shopping street in Tokyo. The soba restaurant I was looking for was temporarily closed, so I decided to try some Okinawan dishes instead. The weather was warm and sunny, so I couldn't resist having an Orion beer with a sashimi platter. The platter included island octopus, cuttlefish, and tuna. The cuttlefish had a unique texture and the island octopus had a distinct flavor. The sashimi was of high quality and I was very satisfied. The recommended dipping sauce for the octopus and cuttlefish was a ponzu sauce with koregusu chili peppers, which made them even more delicious. I also ordered a glass of Matsufuji shochu, which was smooth with a pleasant sweetness. I added some deep-fried fish and pork spare ribs, and finished with a bowl of soki soba. The soki was made with pork belly instead of cartilage, and the noodles were fresh and chewy. The soup was clear and flavorful, with a strong bonito broth. The portion size was just right, and I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I even learned a new way to enjoy sashimi with dipping sauce.

On Friday night, I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. It was my first time having Orion draft beer in months since the state of emergency was lifted. The draft beer was as good as I remembered. We ordered a three appetizer platter, sweet and sour pork, and miso stew with local fish and island tofu from the limited menu. After two beers, I tried the recommended awamori on the rocks. Before I knew it, it was already 7 pm. I finished off with a sea grape rice bowl and headed home. It was a short visit, but thank you for a great time. I will definitely come back again!

On Saturday night, I made a last-minute reservation and visited the restaurant. It was almost full and bustling with people, mostly in their 20s and 30s. I was able to order a lunch menu just in time, so I chose the Ryukyu Nuchigusui set meal. It came with a variety of side dishes, multigrain rice, and mozuku seaweed soup. I enjoyed it. The goat soup had various parts like tripe and liver, which I liked for its unique flavor, but it may be a hit or miss for some people. Of course, I also enjoyed Orion beer and awamori. I ate a lot tonight too. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I often visit this shop and this time I went to celebrate their 10th anniversary. They had limited edition menu items, and I tried everything except for desserts. I really enjoyed the venison dish. I will continue to support this shop!

This year, I couldn't go to Okinawa, so I decided to visit a restaurant in Daiba Hashi's Okinawa Town to enjoy Okinawa cuisine and awamori. The restaurant located inside the market offers dishes such as Chikina Champuru (640 yen), which is made with Chikina (mustard greens), tuna, and island tofu stir-fried together. It has a bit of spiciness from the Chikina, but it's not overwhelmingly hot. Sprinkling island chili pepper on top adds just the right amount of heat. I also tried the fresh sea grapes (360 yen), which are hard to find in Tokyo in their plump state. They are a delightful treat to enjoy as they are. The fried baby scad (430 yen) was a surprise - I didn't know you could fry scad, which are young Aigo fish. They are small enough to be a perfect snack with awamori. I would love to try this dish when I visit Okinawa next year. The warm yushi tofu (450 yen) is another classic dish, cooked with bonito broth to enhance its flavor. Yushi tofu can be enjoyed on its own without any additional seasoning, making it a staple in Okinawan cuisine. I also tried the Akano Matsufu (Karaka) awamori (850 yen) from Sakizaki Sake Brewery in Kin Town. It has an alcohol content of 30 and is made using black sugar yeast, resulting in a pleasant sweetness. Pairing Okinawan dishes with awamori is a great way to experience the flavors of Okinawa.

After work with my husband. It's a tradition at this time of year to have a kotatsu at this restaurant. We enjoyed a warm pot at the kotatsu. Due to the pandemic, some regular menu items are not available. The taste is slightly different from before. There was a new staff member wearing only a mouth guard, which made me feel a little uneasy.

As I was wandering around the vicinity of Daitabashi, I stumbled upon a place called OKINAWA Town. I decided to try out one of the promising restaurants there. I ordered a bowl of Soki Soba for 730 yen. There was only one other customer at 12:30 PM. It took about 10 minutes for the dish to be served, but it was clear that they were taking their time to prepare it carefully. The noodles were made with Shurijo brand fresh noodles, as indicated on a sign. The soup was meticulously prepared, and the Soki was tender and delicious. It was really tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I hope OKINAWA Town continues to thrive.

Continuing from last week, I visited on Friday night by making a reservation. The daily white ae was served on a baguette. It had a flavor similar to a bar menu with olive oil, which I enjoyed. However, I was disappointed that the squid ink juicy dish that I used to enjoy had changed. It seemed like they started using pre-made squid ink paste, which lacked flavor and only looked shiny black. I preferred the previous version. Also, the fried dish today had too much oil and felt greasy, which was a bit of a letdown.

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. It's a dimly lit place located at the end of a narrow alley, where I had the world-famous Ryuchan Yoshiki-bo's tantanmen the other day. The restaurant is divided into two floors, with 2-person tables and 4-person tables on the first floor. There were quite a few customers, some having meals and some drinking from noon. The lunch menu includes Okinawan dishes such as pork belly bowl, goya champuru, sea grapes bowl, and taco rice. This time, I chose the "Pork Belly Soba Set for 820 yen." It said they use "Shuri-made noodles" on the menu. It took a little over 10 minutes to be served. The pork belly soba had a bonito broth flavor and was topped with tender simmered pork pieces, which was really good. The noodles were curly noodles, which I haven't had in a while and they were delicious. It also came with a side of rice, mozuku vinegar, and vegetable miso salad, which made me quite full. They accept payment via PayPay.
