I visited a restaurant that has been selected as one of the top 100 gyoza shops in Sangenjaya. The location is a 3-minute walk from Nishi-Taishido Station on the Tokyo Setagaya Line and a 4-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station on the Tokyo Setagaya Line and the Denentoshi Line. I arrived around 12:30 by myself and sat at the counter, which has 14 seats. I ordered a lemon sour (430 yen), garlic gyoza (319 yen), karaage (440 yen), and menchi katsu (440 yen). I waited for about 10 minutes. The gyoza, karaage, and menchi katsu arrived. The gyoza was okay, tasty but nothing special. I prefer gyoza with a crispy texture or more juicy filling. The karaage and menchi katsu were incredibly delicious. The karaage had a crispy coating and juicy meat, perfect with alcohol. The menchi katsu was large in size, with a lot of juicy meat inside. It made me crave rice. Overall, it was a delicious meal. If I have the chance, I will visit again.

I had a plate of pan-fried dumplings and a Jasmine High cocktail. The dipping sauce was a mix of chili oil and vinegar, without soy sauce. I wasn't very hungry, so I skipped the bean sprouts. The dumplings were usually crispy and firm, but today they were soft. The seasoning was still delicious as always. I used to always go for the pan-fried dumplings, but next time I want to try the spicy miso soup with boiled dumplings.

Today, I went to Tokyo Gyoza-rou in Sangenjaya. I had the lunch set C, which includes W Gyoza. You can choose to have them with leek and garlic, and they offer a free extra serving. I love gyoza, so I went for the double portion! The gyoza here is known for its balanced flavor. They are bite-sized and have a slightly sweet and thin skin. It was a delicious and well-balanced gyoza. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious!

I visited for lunch and entered the restaurant right away. I ordered pan-fried dumplings with garlic and shiso flavors, along with a side of small rice. It was nice that I could choose without garlic. The shiso dumplings came with miso sauce, so I could enjoy different flavors. The dumplings were classic and delicious.

Air conditioning, fan, and air cooler are all on full blast, but it's still a bit hot. That's when beer tastes even better. The bean sprouts are topped with seasoned minced meat, and adding vinegar and chili oil makes it a perfect side dish for beer. The thin yet meaty menchi-katsu also goes well with beer. The main dish, grilled dumplings, has a strong garlic flavor but with thin skin, so you can keep enjoying them. Beer. It's also cost-effective, so I highly recommend it.

Delicious dumplings beyond imagination. I focused on boiled dumplings and pan-fried dumplings, but the pan-fried dumplings were especially exquisite. Definitely recommend the ones with chives and garlic. Pan-fried dumplings go perfectly with beer. The homemade chili oil is also delicious. They are tasty on their own, but they go well with plenty of vinegar and chili oil, especially with beer.

It's been a long time since my last visit! I remember going there about 10 years ago when it had just opened and I happened to pass by. This time, I visited for a meal after finishing at the nearby public bath. I ordered water dumplings and miso soup with water dumplings. Simple is best! This phrase perfectly describes the dumplings here! They are cheap, fast, delicious, and highly recommended! The homemade chili oil is also amazing!! *It seems that this restaurant is not affiliated with Harajuku Gyoza Lou.

I visited the "Tokyo Gyoza-rou Sangenchaya" which was selected as one of the top 100 gyoza restaurants. The nearest station is Nishi Taishido. The restaurant is open every day, making it convenient for when you need a place to eat. When I arrived at 15:13 on a weekday, there were no other customers, so it felt like a private dining experience. From 11:30 to 15:00 on weekdays, they offer lunch sets with rice and soup included, and you can get a free large portion of rice, making it a good deal compared to ordering separately. I ordered the pan-fried gyoza with garlic and chives (330 yen x 2) with a large portion of rice (280 yen) ... if you order the lunch set, it would cost 750 yen for the same items. They use ground Iwachu pork for the filling, and the ingredients are simple with cabbage, Chinese cabbage, and garlic. The gyoza had a chewy and crispy texture on the outside, and was juicy and delicious inside.

I ate pan-fried gyoza with leek and garlic, gyoza with shiso, hot miso soup with boiled gyoza, deep-fried gyoza with shiso, fried chicken, menchi-katsu, and bean sprouts. The bean sprouts mixed with seasoned minced meat are cheap but quite delicious, so I recommend ordering them as a snack. The gyoza with shiso are dipped in spicy miso sauce, making them very easy to eat. If you're not bothered by the smell of garlic, you should definitely try the leek and garlic gyoza.

It's about a 5-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station. We went on the weekend and arrived around 12 o'clock, and were able to sit right away. There were two of us, and we were guided to a table at the back. If it had been crowded, we probably would have had to sit at the counter. The back tables can seat 4 people at 3 tables. We ordered boiled dumplings, fried dumplings, and pan-fried dumplings. They were all delicious. There were vinegar, soy sauce, chili oil, and pepper on the table. The dumplings went well with beer.

The lunch menu at this restaurant is very reasonable, starting from a 500 yen gyoza set. This time, I ordered the gyoza and karaage set for 690 yen, which comes with 6 gyoza and 2 pieces of karaage. The gyoza are a medium size with a good amount of chives, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They are flavorful enough that you don't even need to dip them in sauce. The karaage, on the other hand, is very flavorful, with the meat marinated thoroughly before frying. I personally found the flavor a bit strong, but I really enjoyed the juicy meat and crispy coating. Apart from gyoza, the menu mainly consists of items like menchi katsu and mixed noodles, showing the restaurant's dedication to gyoza. The restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog in 2021. The interior is long and narrow, with around 10 counter seats and some table seating. It has a casual Chinese restaurant vibe and is not particularly fancy. They also offer alcoholic drinks priced at 500 yen or less, making it a good spot for solo drinking. It's a delicious place, but it can get crowded at times. When you come here, I recommend ordering the bean sprouts. Enjoy the bean sprouts with minced meat miso while waiting for the dumplings. On the table, there are standard condiments like chili oil, vinegar, and soy sauce, so feel free to mix them to your liking. We had boiled dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, and deep-fried dumplings this time. The dumpling skins are thin but chewy. For the mixed noodles, I recommend adding chili oil. I think this place offers the best value for your money.

In addition to the main dish, it comes with soup and rice, and the portion size is large for this price! You can adjust the amount of rice. The fried chicken is especially crispy and delicious! The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow, so if you're in a hurry (due to the large portions), it can be a bit challenging!

When you walk east from Sangenjaya Station with Carrot Tower behind you on Route 3, you will see a line on your right for Tokyo Gyoza-rou. The line moves quickly, so after waiting for about 20 minutes, I was seated at the counter and ordered bean sprouts, cucumber, minced meat cutlet, garlic gyoza, garlic butter, spicy miso soup, boiled dumplings, bottled beer, and Shaoxing wine. I enjoyed a warm bean sprout and minced meat miso on top of cucumber with a gulp of beer. The dumplings arrived, especially the boiled dumplings in spicy miso soup, which were comforting. The dumplings had a nice chewiness, and the spicy miso soup was rich and smooth, leaving a warm feeling in my stomach. Next time, I want to try the shiso dumplings. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited Gyoza-rou. There are two stores on Chazawa Street in Sangenjaya, but this one seems older. I came for lunch this day. It was quite empty around 1 pm. A hidden gem? The menu starts from 500 yen for a set of 6 gyoza, and you can even get a free extra large rice serving - such a great deal! You can also see cabbage, cucumber, and bean sprouts outside for 150 yen. I decided to order bean sprouts and gyoza karaage for 690 yen. You can choose with or without garlic for the karaage. Since it was my day off, I chose with garlic. First, the bean sprouts arrived. Boiled bean sprouts covered in seasoned meat miso - perfect with beer at night. The gyoza were sizzling in the kitchen separated by glass. Rice and soup were served. Both the karaage and gyoza were freshly made. The karaage had a strong flavor that went well with the rice. The gyoza had a nice crispy exterior with 6 pieces. I usually eat gyoza with vinegar and chili oil, but they didn't have it here, so I used vinegar and chili oil instead. The gyoza, with plenty of vegetables, were light and easy to eat. Maybe getting the extra large rice was a good choice? I finished with the soup. The gyoza set meal is a great value for money. It's the best when you're full with the extra large rice.

It is a refreshing gyoza. It is not heavy, so you can eat it quickly. The sauce and meat miso flavors are very delicious. I ate all the gyoza, but I recommend the boiled and pan-fried ones. However, if you are someone who likes gyoza that are delicious on their own, you may find it a bit lacking in flavor. It doesn't really remind me of gyoza, more like the taste of the sauce.

They paired perfectly with beer. Our favorite was the leek and garlic flavor. It's not too overpowering, so even women can enjoy it without worries. The taste is classic and delicious, making it a dish you can eat forever. The shiso dumplings are served with a miso-based sauce. The fried chicken was also delicious and complemented the beer well. The menu is focused on dumplings, so if you plan on bar hopping, this place is a great choice!

There are branch stores in Shinjuku and Kyobashi as well. I felt like visiting the main store and ended up going to Sangenchaya. I visited on Tuesday at 9:25 PM. The restaurant was crowded but there were seats available at the counter, so I was seated right away. I ordered the dishes I had decided on during my commute: - Grilled dumplings (with leek and garlic) 320 yen - Boiled dumplings (with spicy miso soup, leek) 430 yen - Small rice (with soup) 230 yen Total: 980 yen The food arrived in about 15 minutes. The grilled dumplings were simple but delicious! They had leek and garlic inside, but it was not overpowering. I could keep eating these forever. The boiled dumplings came with a spicy miso soup, which was not too spicy but had a delicious flavor that I got hooked on. The rice was small but it was a regular portion at other restaurants. The Chinese soup had a simple and rustic taste with chopped ginger as an accent. Everything was delicious. I am satisfied because I could enjoy all of this for less than 1,000 yen. Thank you for the meal.
