When you feel like having beef that's not horumon, you'll remember "Renrakusen" restaurant. It's a high-end place so it's not easy to go often, but about a month ago, after making a reservation with two people for the first time in almost two years, we had a la carte dishes. Luckily, the price structure was the same as almost two years ago. Last time we ate too much, but this time, after reviewing the notes from last time, we were able to order the right amount while consulting with the kind madam who served us. - Tenderloin Karaage: 150g (9,000 yen). This is a must-have. Still delicious. - Sirloin Tataki: 150g (9,000 yen). The tasty fat really stood out. - Meat nigiri sushi: 3 pieces. Price unknown. I had one piece. Maybe you don't need to have this at Renrakusen. - Salad: Probably comes with the table like last time. - Baked Potato: 1 piece. It wasn't there last time, but they said, "If you were full last time, let's just have one this time," so maybe one per person is the norm. It was delicious and fluffy. - Red bottle wine: 10,000 yen. There were three types of red bottle wine, priced at either 5,000 yen or 10,000 yen, so we splurged. That's all we had and we were full. Tataki or grilled... grilled might be slightly preferred. The total came to 36,000 yen, breakdown unknown. It was around 19:30 on a weekday, with only one other group present, and the food was served promptly, allowing us to leave the restaurant in about an hour from entering. It was very much appreciated to efficiently enjoy delicious food. And as always, we had room for dessert, so we went to "Kyoto Hayashiya" on the same floor in Takase Building for dessert.
