I saw this place multiple times on Instagram, so I decided to check it out. I went around 3 pm on a weekday and there weren't many customers, so I got in quickly, but there was a short line afterwards. The menu only offers three types of Basque cheesecake, and you have to order one drink and one cheesecake per person, so it costs around 1500 yen. They provide water, and I had to adjust the position for a good Instagram photo by putting my hand in the water and moving it around. I think one visit is enough to satisfy your curiosity.

The staff was kind and created a very comfortable atmosphere. The cheesecake was surprisingly light and not too heavy. The coffee was stronger than an Americano, but both the food and drinks were delicious.

It was actually my first time trying Basque-style chocolate cheesecake. The cheesecake was surprisingly soft and creamy! Thanks to that, it was easy to take videos. The sweetness is mild, so even if you don't like overly sweet desserts, you can still enjoy it. I also had a ring latte, which was also chocolate-flavored lol. It looks great and the chocolate flavor really stands out. It was delicious lol. I visited on a Saturday and it was quite crowded, with about a 1.5-hour wait. I heard that sometimes people have to wait for 3 hours, so be prepared when you go check it out ===========

I finally went to this cafe that I always see people lining up for. I arrived 45 minutes before opening on a weekday, but no one else arrived until 10 minutes before opening. I guess I was too eager? Or was it just a coincidence? Even after opening, the cafe didn't get full, so maybe I just had good timing that day! I was satisfied because I could take beautiful pictures. I tried the Basque Cheesecake in chocolate and matcha flavors, as well as the Ring Latte Chocolate and Cafe Latte. The cafe is known for its water tables, so I had to be careful while eating. The chocolate Basque Cheesecake was rich and more like a terrine than a cheesecake, but delicious. I always wanted to try the Ring Latte here, and it didn't disappoint. Despite the scorching heat outside, the cafe was nicely air-conditioned, making the hot drinks enjoyable. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to visit this place!

The water table that shines! I finally went to the cafe with a popular water table on SNS, even though I was late. I went on a weekday afternoon and luckily didn't have to wait in line, so I was able to get in smoothly! The water table, cheesecake, and drinks all look great, so it's good. It's delicious, but considering the wait and overall experience, I was satisfied after one visit. If you want to try Basque cheesecake in Shin-Okubo for its uniqueness, SNS appeal, and appearance, I recommend it. Inside the store, there is a long table with water in the middle, so if you go with multiple people, you'll be sitting next to each other. Since the table is covered with water, you'll be a bit nervous about dropping something. The menu includes Melting Basque Cheesecake for 690 yen and Ice Cafe Latte for 650 yen. The Basque cheesecake is very creamy and rich, more on the refreshing side than a heavy cheese flavor. It's surprisingly filling, and I got a bit tired of it halfway through, but it was delicious.

Cute, delicious, and very Instagrammable!! But why are there dogs in the shop? They don't let you touch them, just walk around with the staff. People might wonder about the hygiene in a food establishment with dogs around, so if that bothers you, it's better not to go! But it's not a big deal for most people.

However, I received information from my gourmet friends that it's not crowded on weekdays at lunchtime, so I visited at 1 pm on a weekday. Surprisingly, I was able to enter without waiting in line. I ordered the plain Basque cheesecake and a cafe latte (my companion ordered matcha Basque cheesecake and matcha latte). The Basque cheesecake was so soft and creamy, you can see it in the photos. I wonder how they cut it... I enjoyed the texture more than the cheese flavor. The coffee was not particularly delicious, and I felt uncomfortable because I accidentally put my hand in the water on the table. I think it's a place you only need to visit once. I was subtly troubled by the lack of a place to put my smartphone. I'm satisfied with the Instagram-worthy photos I took. I had plans in Shinjuku, so I decided to take a walk to Shin-Okubo. I went to try the Basque cheesecake at GUF that I had been curious about. The cheesecake is delicious and melts in your mouth, but it disappears quickly. The drink has a powdery ring on the surface that makes you cough, and it's not as amazing as the price suggests. It's light and has a large quantity, so I think I should have just ordered a regular latte. The Basque cheesecake is seriously delicious!

Gufu Cafe in Shin-Okubo, a stylish cafe with water tables. I went there on a Sunday afternoon and there was a long line! It seemed like all the shops were crowded that day because there were a lot of people near the station. We waited for about 1.5 hours before finally getting inside. You have to order and pay at the beginning here! My friends and I ordered two types of Basque cheesecake and two types of ring lattes. The tables in this cafe are filled with water! They are cute because the plates are placed on top of the water without any glass. It's a bit nerve-wracking though, haha. The cheesecake arrived in less than 5 minutes after ordering! The ring lattes took a bit longer, maybe another 5 minutes? The Basque cheesecake looked so creamy just by looking at it! The plain one was creamier and more smooth than the matcha one. The matcha had a strong matcha flavor, which was great. Both were delicious! The ring latte is a latte with cream in a ring shape on top. It's recommended to mix the cream before drinking. Order and pay first before getting a seat! Ordered plain Basque cheesecake and lemonade. A must-try for Basque cheesecake lovers (*´-`). It was so creamy and delicious! I just opened and became very popular on Instagram and TikTok. I was recommended by a friend and decided to visit. I arrived around 3 pm on Saturday and waited for about 40 minutes. JR Shin-Okubo Station is a 4-minute walk away. Located on the second floor along the handsome street, with a large banner featuring a photo of Basque cheesecake as a landmark. The eat-in area has tables with water in the middle that can seat 7 people on each side. The gravel-covered tables have transparent water in them, reflecting the lights and outside views beautifully. Be careful not to get your sleeves wet or your phone submerged in water while taking photos or eating. It's difficult to take photos without people in the front. The Matcha Basque Cheesecake (790 yen) and Hot Americano (600 yen) are recommended. The Melty G Basque Cheesecake is a new style eaten with a spoon, melting instantly and having a texture similar to raw chocolate. It uses matcha from the long-established Kyoto store "Morihan" founded in 1876. The matcha aroma can be sensed from the moment it is served. It has a milky sweetness with little bitterness. The Hot Americano comes in a large cup, with a lot of water and a mild coffee taste. When lifting the cup, the water ripples spread out, which is interesting. The store closes once the Basque cheesecake is sold out, which often happens around 2-3 pm due to its increasing popularity. On weekdays at 10:10 am, there were 4 customers in line, mostly women. By 11 am, there were over 10 groups waiting, with most being female customers. The waiting time can be at least 1 hour for the second round due to the limited seating capacity.
