⭐️Ryukishin LEO (Ryukishin) September 15, 2022 KUMA Survey (Daily Use) (80 Excellent: / 60 Outstanding / 50 Excellent / 50 Pass / 40 Pass Point) (Taste: 60%: Others 40%) ■ Overall rating 75/100 points (Taste: 90 points) A delicious salt ramen shop in Shin-Osaka Station, Rank A: A must-visit shop. ■ Overview The shop is located in the station building at Shin-Osaka Station (Arde). Since the ticket gate is on the 3rd floor, you will go down to the dining floor on the 1st floor. The shop has a stylish feel with black as the main color, and most of the customers are dining alone. There are also table seats, so it is suitable for families to visit. The system is to purchase at the ticket vending machine at the entrance. The menu consists of ramen specialty shop menus centered around salt ramen. Today, I had the main salt ramen, which was a wonderful salt ramen with a clear soup and various deep-flavored ingredients creating umami. Thank you for the meal. ■ Ordered Dish / Price / Taste / Cost Performance Salt Ramen ¥900 / Excellent / Pass Detailed Evaluation as Always ■ Usage Scene Family / Couple / Solo / Banquet / Business - ■ Atmosphere and Service of the Shop 65/100 points 13 points (4 points pass point, 5 points pass point) Basic points 4 points ◇ Shop Front 7/10 points Near the station, clean, orderly ◇ Inside the Shop 8/10 points Bright + Clean + Single seats + ◇ Service 4/10 points Normal ◇ Comfort 6/10 points Spacious space, waiting time ○: Set -: Drink ○ Water ○: Oshibori ○: Customer service ○: Appearance ○: Cleanliness ○: Air conditioning ○: Infection control ◯: Ticket vending machine ■ Detailed Evaluation of Food 90/100 points 54 points This excellent salt ramen is a perfect match with a strong umami light salt soup and smooth straight noodles. Soup: A clear soup with a light taste, strong umami, a slight sweetness, and a good balance of saltiness. As stated on the website, multiple ingredients are used, blending multiple umami flavors to create a well-balanced umami. You can feel the dashi of chicken, shiitake mushrooms, burdock, and kelp. Vegetables' clear deliciousness and dashi's umami Noodles: Straight medium-thick round noodles that are smooth and match well with the salt taste Toppings Chashu: Slightly rare, soft, and strong umami Nori: Normal Negi: Fresh and good feeling Vegetables?: I always think it's better to stop putting it because the smell is strong and it disrupts the soup's aroma. Negi alone is enough Soup: 1. Chicken, vegetables from Senshu, dried shiitake mushrooms, dried shrimp, and kelp are boiled for 8 hours 2. 25% potassium-containing rock salt from Jiangsu Province, China is used 3. Cook mussels in sake and water, mix with rehydrated dried scallops, and combine with Japanese-style dashi 4. Put dried burdock in the soup to remove odor and bitterness ■ Cost Evaluation 40/100 points 8 points The retail statistical average is ¥620, and a pass point of around +100 for a specialty store price of ¥720. I feel that the price range already includes a premium for good taste. When evaluated objectively, I think it is a passable cost performance.

Salt Ramen DX with extra noodles for 1300 yen plus 100 yen. This ramen is one of the best I've had in terms of salt ramen. If the portion was bigger, I would have rated it 4 stars or more. I think it would be better if they offered a larger size or extra noodles option for men.

I visited "Ryu Kisen LEO @ Shin-Osaka" at Shin-Osaka Station. It feels like I ate at a restaurant with the same name in Kyoto about 10 years ago, but I'm not entirely sure... oh well, never mind haha. It was a little before 6:00 PM and there were 2 customers already seated and 3 more came in after me. I checked out the ticket machine at the entrance, but it seemed like the card payment option was broken. They should fix that soon since it's a useful feature. I decided to go with the basic salt ramen priced at 1000 yen. While waiting, I looked around the restaurant. The atmosphere inside was quite calm. There was a box of noodles from "Teigaku" at the entrance, which is a brand commonly seen in Kyoto and Osaka. Recently, some restaurants in Tokyo have started using these noodles as well. (I think Nana-sai Hanten, which is the closest to Tokyo Station, also uses them). There was a sign inside saying "We boil the soup in the store," which is a common practice in ramen shops, but maybe they need to mention it here to avoid any misunderstandings about using factory-made soup. And then, the ramen arrived! The bowl had "KYOTO" written on the rim. I started with the soup, which was clear and tasty, but honestly, it didn't have that wow factor you would expect from a salt ramen specialty shop. Salt ramen is a tricky one, isn't it? The noodles were thin with a sharp edge, not exactly transparent but still had that typical texture. Personally, I'm not a fan of this type of noodles. The bamboo shoots were thick and normal, and the chashu was made from pork shoulder, which was nicely done. Overall, it was tasty but... just average. I've tried a lot of ramen in the past, and I think salt ramen is the most challenging. This place serves a well-made ramen, but it didn't stand out for me. I've been to several places that serve exceptional salt ramen, so this one felt a bit ordinary. Thank you for the meal. ★3.0 September 2023.

"Fish and seafood cold salt ramen" for 1,200 yen Located in the gourmet district of Shin-Osaka Station, this ramen shop boasts of cooking their soup in-house, a sign of their confidence in their flavors. While the sign indicates salt ramen, due to the lingering summer heat, I decided to try the "cold" version. Served in a chilled bowl, the clear soup, large slices of rare chashu, and overall presentation are elegant and beautiful. The soup itself is rich in umami from the seafood broth, with just the right amount of saltiness, making it truly delicious. However, the only disappointment was that the soup could have been colder. Cold ramen should ideally be crisp and refreshing. The thin noodles have a smooth texture that pairs well with the soup. The thinly sliced onions add a unique touch as a cold topping, blending well with the soup and providing an interesting contrast with the firm noodles. The rare chashu is tender, flavorful, and not greasy, showing careful preparation suitable for a cold dish. Overall, this ramen is of a very high quality, making it more than satisfying to enjoy while waiting for the Shinkansen. However, I must reiterate that for cold ramen, it should be even colder."

I ordered the Salt Ramen DX for 1,300 yen. I was excited because the name DX and the price of 1,300 yen, along with the luxurious photo, but when it arrived, it was smaller than expected, just a regular topping ramen. I briefly thought they got my order wrong, but the staff confirmed it was correct. The noodles were also a bit small, so maybe a size up is needed. Overall, it felt a bit pricey. However, the noodles and soup were delicious. The soup had a strong salt flavor but also a rich umami taste, and I ended up finishing it all. If the toppings were better priced, it would be a 3.7 rating. I would like to visit again.

I rushed into the station's restaurant area before catching the last Shinkansen. Each station now seems to have high-quality tenants. Intrigued by the claim of specializing in salt ramen, I ordered "Salt Ramen (1000 yen)" from the ticket machine. It's no longer surprising to pay 1000 yen for ramen. The soup is rich in flavor, with a strong taste of seafood broth. It's not just your average salt ramen; it's delicious. Although the bowl isn't large, it comes with two slices of chashu, and it's more filling than it looks. I usually don't finish my ramen due to the urban legend that "ramen is high in calories because you drink the soup," but I drank almost all of it. A perfect way to end my business trip to Kansai. Thank you for the meal!

When I stayed in Shin-Osaka, I found this restaurant nearby and decided to try it out. The restaurant is located in the food court of Arde Shin-Osaka, which is inside Shin-Osaka Station. I visited around 7 pm on a weekday and was able to enter without waiting in line. The system was to buy a food ticket first and then take a seat. I chose a lighter option since I just wanted a snack after dinner, so I ordered the following: ★Chashu Don (500 yen) ★6 pieces of Gyoza (400 yen) The gyoza arrived first, and they were crispy and delicious. I mixed the gyoza sauce with chili oil and enjoyed it. Then, the Chashu Don arrived in about 3 minutes. The portion size was just right, and it was tasty. I would have been even happier if it had some mayonnaise on top. The rice part was a bit more, so I added a bit of gyoza sauce and chili oil to make it slightly spicy, but still delicious until the end. Even though it was crowded, the turnover rate was good, so it seemed like you could eat without waiting. They only accepted cash for the food tickets. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

Today, I extended my trip to Osaka. It's been a while since I've been to Shin-Osaka Station, and a sense of nostalgia washes over me. The heat inside the station building after getting off the bullet train is intense, and I can't stop sweating. Since it's time for lunch, I decide to grab a meal before hopping on the local train for a bit of relief from the heat. I head to the ARDE dining area on the 2nd floor, with the goal of trying Ryu Ki Shin LEO. Looking at the menu on the ticket machine, I notice there are no soy sauce-based options, so I choose the salt pork bone ramen for 1030 yen. The restaurant is still hot since it's just opened, but it gradually improves. The order arrives promptly. Almost too fast. The salt pork bone ramen that comes out features large slices of flavorful roasted pork, which are quite impressive. The addition of wood ear mushrooms is a nice touch. The salt pork bone soup is a delicious mix of light and rich flavors. The noodles are served firm, possibly due to the quick service, and have a satisfying chewiness. The soup is not heavy, making it easy to enjoy even while sweating. Thanks to the air conditioning kicking in, I managed to eat without turning into a sweat-drenched mess. Thank you for the meal.

Visit date: Weekday, 9:30 PM Wait time: None Taste: The signature salt soup is combined with a mild tonkotsu broth, creating a perfect level of richness. The fried onion aroma is strong. The chashu has minimal fat but is tender and free of any unpleasant odor. The noodles are slightly thin and default to firm. Enjoy the fusion of salt and tonkotsu with extras like wood ear mushrooms. Other: Convenient for dining late as many shops in Shin-Osaka close early. Prices are a bit high, possibly due to the location.

Upon arriving in Osaka, my first meal was ramen! I wanted something refreshing, and I found a shop that served salt ramen. It was a big hit! Even though it was my first time at this place, I decided to go for the cold salt ramen right away. It was a great choice! The noodles and soup were just to my liking. It was like a slow, soothing sensation spreading through my body, which was on the verge of being overwhelmed by the heat. I'm not a fan of green onions, so I asked for them to be removed, which made the visual appearance a bit sad, I'm sorry.

Salt pork bone ramen and salt ramen. My personal preference is for the mild salt pork bone ramen, which is easy to eat and has a nice texture accentuated by the wood ear mushrooms. The salt ramen, on the other hand, had a slightly stronger salt flavor, so it paired well with beer.

I tried chilled fish ramen at a place I stumbled upon in Shin-Osaka amidst the scorching heat outside. I decided to challenge myself with this cold ramen dish. The flavorful broth paired perfectly with the cold noodles, and it was quite delicious. The large portion costs 1400 yen, which is an additional 200 yen.

Visited on a weekday at 7:00 PM. The restaurant was empty. Ordered the salt ramen for 1,000 yen. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. The noodles were chewy and smooth. The soup was light with a mild salt flavor. The menma had some hard parts, which was disappointing. The chashu was lean and light, which paired well with the soup. It was just the right amount for a light meal when feeling a bit hungry!

I had a cold ramen for 1,200 yen. It was Saturday afternoon but I didn't have to wait in line (unlike other places where there was a line). The interior of the restaurant was dimly lit but clean. When I took the first sip of the soup, it was a bit lukewarm. However, the cold noodles were delicious. The chashu tasted like roasted pork. Overall, the taste was good!

After seeing off the Twilight Express Mizukaze, I was persuaded by my child to revisit the restaurant. Last time, I ordered the tsukemen and caused an accident, so this time I went for the classic salt ramen. With the first bite, I thought, "Oh, this is delicious! The charred green onions are great!" As I continued eating, I decided to challenge myself with an extra serving of noodles. Around this point, things started to feel uneasy. Just as I finished half of my meal, the extra noodles arrived, so I added them to the soup and mixed thoroughly. However, the noodles didn't soak up the soup, and the broth had already cooled down and become too salty. All of this for 1000 yen... And the service is still poor as usual...

This is a salt ramen shop located inside the ARDE at Shin-Osaka Station. The shop originates from Sakai, Osaka, and is quite well-known in the city. They operate on a ticket vending machine system inside the store. The "Salt Ramen" costs 1000 yen and comes with toppings such as chashu, menma, negi, nori, and moyashi. The clear soup is very light and has an elegant saltiness to it. The medium-thin straight noodles have a chewy texture and a smooth finish due to their rounded shape without sharp edges. Personally, I found them slightly soft and lacking in firmness. Although I wasn't very hungry that day, the light salt soup was so refined that I ended up finishing every drop without feeling overwhelmed. It's a bit disappointing that there are no seasoning options on the table for flavor adjustment. The regular salt ramen without additional toppings costing 1000 yen may seem a bit pricey, likely due to the prime location at a major station where the shinkansen stops. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This is a shop located in Shin-Osaka Station of Ryukishin. I personally love Ryukishin's ramen the most, but it seems to have a slightly milder soup that is popular among young people nowadays. My wife and mother also agree that this place is the best, saying other shops' ramen doesn't compare (laughs). Although I have other favorite ramen shops, this one remains my top choice. I visit various Ryukishin group restaurants, but I am always amazed by the consistent delicate taste that never disappoints.

I visited LEO at the dining area inside Shin-Osaka Station. This restaurant specializes in salt ramen and has branches in France and Spain as well. The atmosphere is a bit dim, but the taste is light yet robust. The noodles are thin but have a firm texture. The chashu is made from pork shoulder, with a good balance of lean meat and fat. Thank you for the meal!

Salt tonkotsu ramen DX: The soup combines a salt base that is easy to eat with a Hakata pork bone base. The noodles give a slightly thinner impression than medium thickness. The soup and noodles are not bad, but not particularly special either, just decently tasty. The chashu and seasoned egg are delicious. With the upscale atmosphere at Shin-Osaka Station, the price of 1330 yen is a bit high, so it may not be worth going out of your way to eat here. Perhaps it would have been better to try the regular salt ramen instead of the salt tonkotsu.

This is the ramen I had as a finisher after drinking. I went day drinking and ended with ramen. Since it wasn't crowded, I decided to visit this place. I purchased a meal ticket before entering the restaurant. I ordered salt ramen and a lemon chu-hai. The service was very quick. The lemon sour was quite sweet and not really to my liking. The salt ramen was served in a stylish bowl. It had a slightly strong soup. It was delicious. If you eat a lot, the portion might be a bit small.

So, this unexpected stay in Osaka for my business trip turned out quite interesting. The morning came, but the Shinkansen trains were still stopped, with plans to resume service after noon. My reserved Shinkansen train with SmartEX was around 4:00 PM. Now, what should I do? I decided to head back to Shin-Osaka to figure things out. I checked out of my hotel in Esaka a little after 10:00 AM. Shin-Osaka was crowded with people when I returned, and I was getting hungry. I spotted this ramen shop called "Ryu Kisen" as my colleague wanted to eat ramen. Apparently, they specialize in salt ramen. It was still before 11:00 AM, and there were only a few customers. I checked the menu at the ticket machine by the entrance. Each item was over ¥1000. It was a station shop, after all. I decided to try the "Chicken Salt Ramen" with extra chashu and a flavored egg. It cost ¥1300. After a short wait, my ramen arrived. It was delicious. The price was a bit high for a station shop, but it was a good place for a quick ramen fix. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
