I ordered the Le Ba Pa Te Ba In Mi Ba Vietnam coffee with condensed milk. I bought a food ticket and was able to pay with PayPay. The bread dough is delicious! It's not too hard, more like soft French bread. There are plenty of fillings, with large cuts of parsley and a great texture of liver pate. The harmony of flavors is perfect and it's incredibly delicious! I'd like to try other flavors too. The condensed milk coffee was also delicious! It's best to eat it right away as it's most delicious when freshly baked! The interior of the shop is small, but there is seating available. You can also drink lotus tea for free there. The staff are also very friendly! Thank you for the meal!

I have tried several Banh Mi sandwiches before, but this one has a homemade baguette that is so delicious that nearby cafes or Banh Mi shops come to buy it. You can also request whether or not to have cilantro, making it suitable for those who don't like it. The Vietnamese iced coffee served with it was exceptional. It was delicious.

Recently, there has been a growing number of banh mi shops, and by chance, I happened to pass by this one while on my way to a different store. I decided to get a takeout for my partner, so it was my first visit to this place. I ordered their most popular banh mi baguette and paid with PayPay. When I asked if I could take a photo while waiting, the staff kindly allowed me to take photos inside the store as well. They even offered us complimentary tea while we waited. The customer service was truly fantastic! When we got home and tried the banh mi with my partner, we found it to have a mild and gentle flavor, with fillings of pate, cha lua, and pickled vegetables. Personally, I prefer banh mi with a bit more kick, but for beginners or women, this gentle flavor might be better. If you ever feel like having banh mi around Shimokitazawa, I recommend visiting this place. Thank you for the meal.

Located just a 2-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station, Bainmei Bar specializes in serving authentic Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches. They take great care to recreate the same flavors as in Vietnam, using authentic Vietnamese seasonings. I ordered a half-size banh mi sandwich and pho set with chicken, along with a Vietnamese beer. The banh mi sandwich, which offers a choice of char siu, jortu, or ga fillings, was delicious and filling. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place in between outings for a quick lunch. It was a holiday at 12:30, so everywhere was crowded, but I was able to get in right away as the previous customer left. It's a ticket system, but you can also use PayPay. Inside the counter, they were constantly making Banh Mi, as they seem to have a lot of Uber orders coming in. After waiting for about 5 minutes, my Banh Mi Bar and iced coffee set arrived. The Banh Mi Bar is the most popular, with chicken flakes, braised pork, and pate. The French bread was crispy with a thin crust. Vietnam was once a French territory, so I heard that the bread quality is high, and it was delicious even in Japan! The overall level of the meal goes up because the bread is so good. The ingredients are all on the healthier side, with the pickles and pepper keeping it refreshing until the last bite. I found a good restaurant. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Looking for delicious Banh Mi and found Banh Mi Ba Ba in Shimokitazawa. Their menu offers Banh Mi bread only, which is exciting! The key to a delicious Banh Mi lies in the unique Vietnamese bread, different from the baguette due to its fusion with French culture. I chose the most standard menu item, Banh Mi Ba Ba for 750 yen. It was packed with ingredients, unlike many Japanese Banh Mi which often lack filling. The bread was crispy and the thick slices of ham and char siu felt luxurious. The place was constantly busy with Uber orders and takeout customers, showing its popularity. Enjoying it in the atmospheric interior adds to the experience.

The Banh Mi sandwich is still not very well-known. Sometimes people ask, "What's that?" when I mention it. It seems like users on Tabelog might know about it, but in general, it's still not widely recognized. I can't remember when I first tried Banh Mi, but I've loved it ever since. Sometimes I find it at bakeries and always buy it when I do. Whoever came up with this combination is a genius. Some people might not like it if they don't like cilantro, though. This shop in Shimokitazawa allows for eating in. There are about four tables at most. You don't have to order a drink; they provide water. The menu starts at 600 yen, and this time I ordered the Banh Mi Barbeque, which seemed like an "everything" version. It was 750 yen. The bread was just the right firmness and packed with ingredients. It was delicious! The couple next to me was eating pho. Thank you for the meal!

The picture of the Banh Mi Ga on the storefront looked delicious, so I ordered it. I asked for no cilantro. I added a cappuccino as a set drink for an additional 200 yen, making the total 850 yen. It was served in a few minutes. The chicken flakes, which looked delicious in the picture, turned out to be unexpectedly salty, and I struggled with it. While waiting, I noticed the Banh Mi Ba Bar with all the toppings on the menu board in front of me, and I regretted not ordering it... I blame myself for not trying it. The name of the restaurant is on it, so it must be delicious. I'm such a fool. It's my own fault.

I went to the Banh Mi specialty shop Banh Mi Barber in Shimokitazawa, which was celebrating its 3rd anniversary. On this day, they were giving away eco bags with purchases, so I went to check it out! The shop is small but cute, with plastic chairs lined up outside. I ordered the most popular Banh Mi Barber, which is a mix of Tit Paté (liver paste) and Joto (Vietnamese-style prosciutto)! It goes perfectly with the crispy baguette! I also received a commemorative eco bag!

Just strolling around in Shimokitazawa is so much fun. One turn down a curious alley and you'll have no idea where you are in Shimokitazawa. Today is a half day off. The weather is nice, so I decided to take a walk in Shimokitazawa. First, I needed to fill my stomach. I had a Banh Mi sandwich. I had missed out on it in Takadanobaba last time, so I decided to get my revenge in Shimokitazawa, the underground scene. It's about a 3-minute walk from the station. A little more if you get caught at the railroad crossing. The shop had both indoor and outdoor seating. I bought a half Banh Mi with pate and a Lemongrass Tea ticket. I never really know what Vietnamese dishes are from just the menu names. I always just order the Banh Mi with pate. The shop was crowded with customers, a popular spot. The half Banh Mi was not made with a small baguette, but with a regular baguette cut in half. It's easier to take a bite with it cut. The bread was crispy on the outside and crumbly on the inside, the typical texture of a Banh Mi. The inside of the bread was soft and fluffy, giving that light eating sensation that is characteristic of a Banh Mi. The pork, similar to char siu, had a hint of five-spice flavor. Add in the coriander, fish sauce, and pickled vegetables for a sweet and sour taste, and then the liver pate. Delicious!!! The combination of unique flavors doesn't clash, but rather complements each other. The pickled vegetables were quite large and thick, adding a significant presence, but maybe this much punch is needed to match the bread and seasoning. If there was a Banh Mi shop near my house, I would definitely have it for one meal a day. It gave me a power boost.

Recommended by a senior, "Banh Mi Bar" located a 1-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station West Exit. The senior mentioned that they even have Banh Mi Bar delivered to Jiyugaoka via Uber Eats. Intrigued by this, I decided to try it for my 3 o'clock snack. [What I ordered] - Banh Mi Ga ($6.50): The most popular item, Banh Mi Bar (mix of Ga, Pate, and Ham), but I chose Ga as I'm not a fan of liver pate. The overall appearance was not very photogenic, but the French bread was crispy and had a light texture. The salty-sweet and slightly dry chicken flakes with fish sauce flavor paired well with the bread. A taste I've never had before, and it was delicious! Encouraged by the first dish, I added a side menu called "Colorful Che" to my order. The salad contained daikon, carrot, and cucumber, all fresh and crunchy, with a unique flavor. The falafel, kebab, hot dog, and other street foods are delicious, but I never knew street food could be this tasty. [Other] - Colorful Che ($4): A dessert with coconut milk, red bean, tapioca, jelly, white balls, and sweet potatoes. I was a bit embarrassed as I tried to drink it with a straw, but it turned out to be a dessert to be eaten with a spoon. The taste was as expected, but let me say, it was delicious! - There are about 8 chairs inside and outside the restaurant, so it's best to eat the crispy bread fresh. The bread tends to get soggy over time. - Although the taste is rated 3.7, I deducted some points due to my concern about the cleanliness of the restaurant.

I remembered the Banh Mi I ate in Vietnam and felt like eating it again, so I visited this place for the first time. I knew there was a Banh Mi shop in Shimokitazawa before, but I finally came to try it out. I arrived around 2 pm, so the shop was not crowded. The seating was limited and the atmosphere was simple with a bit of a street food vibe. You order by purchasing a food ticket and handing it to the staff. There are various types of Banh Mi on the menu, so I had a hard time deciding while looking at the menu board. The most popular item is the "Banh Mi Ba Ba," but I wanted something light, so I ordered the "Banh Mi Ga" and the "Strawberry Smoothie." They asked if I was okay with adding chili and cilantro. While waiting, they served warm lotus tea, which was a nice touch. The "Banh Mi Ga" had chicken flakes seasoned with fish sauce, pickled daikon and carrots, and a sprinkle of cilantro on top. The French bread was crispy, providing a great texture when eaten. The aroma of fish sauce was quite strong, so it might be challenging for those who are not used to it. It wasn't very spicy, but had a strong salty flavor. The cilantro was not overpowering. Due to the layout of the sandwich, with the chicken flakes on top of the pickles, it was a bit difficult to get a balanced taste in each bite. Personally, I found it better to mix the chicken flakes with the pickles to evenly distribute the flavors. The "Strawberry Smoothie" was a lightly sweet and refreshing strawberry smoothie. It was perfect for a hot summer day, and even those who don't like overly sweet drinks would find it enjoyable. For those with a sweet tooth, it might be a bit lacking in sweetness. With a wide variety of Banh Mi options and a rich drink menu, this is a place where you can choose according to your mood.

Ever since this place opened, every time I come to Shimokitazawa, I end up buying from here. It's my favorite Banh Mi shop. I quickly purchased a ticket from the small ticket machine at the storefront and handed it to the female staff. I ordered the Banh Mi Ga (600 yen). The special feature of this Banh Mi is that it uses blended rice flour, making the bread especially crispy. The filling is also delicious, and the spicy accent of the chili peppers may be a bit strong at first, but it becomes addictive. I love Banh Mi! Thank you for the meal.

I had never eaten Banh Mi before. I used to think it was just like making fresh spring rolls at home and putting the filling in a baguette. However, with the increasing number of Banh Mi shops in Tokyo, I realized that it must be a taste that is hard to replicate at home. So, I decided to try it out today. I had a Banh Mi at a Banh Mi bar. After taking a bite, I was shocked by the explosion of flavors. A hint of five-spice powder, the acidity of pickled vegetables, the saltiness of fish sauce, the richness and freshness of cilantro, and various other flavors that I couldn't quite identify all blended together perfectly. It was a complex and delicious taste that I had never experienced before. The bread was not too hard, but perfectly crispy. I will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I purchased this before training and took it out. You can order and have it made on the spot. It completely avoids the 3 Cs. It's fish-based with cilantro in it. However, it's not fishy at all, and you can taste the fish when you eat it. Everything is moist, so you can eat it even when you don't have an appetite because of the heat. It's a good dish for the summer, being a food from a hot country. It's satisfying and doesn't make you feel heavy during training. I really liked it and will go buy it again.

Bánh mì Ba Ba (バインミーバーバー) @ Shimokitazawa - Bánh mì Ba Ba 750 yen - Set drink (lotus tea) 200 yen Located a 2-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station West Exit, along Kamakura Street, Bánh mì Ba Ba is a take-out specialty store that opened in June 2018. There are a few seats for dining in the store, and the atmosphere is authentic with blue and red plastic chairs commonly seen in Vietnamese street stalls. Bánh mì is a Vietnamese-style sandwich made with soft French bread filled with various ingredients such as chicken, ham, and vegetables. It is a popular snack in Vietnam, commonly eaten for breakfast, lunch, and even as a late-night snack after drinking. At the counter in the store, there is a ticket machine. There are various types of Bánh mì available, but the most popular one, "Bánh mì Ba Ba" (750 yen), is chosen. There is also a half-size option available for 500 yen. This special version includes all the classic Bánh mì ingredients such as "gà" (chicken flakes), "chả lụa" (Saigon-style gelatinous ham), and "pâté" (Vietnamese-style char siu). When ordering, they confirm if it's okay to add cilantro. If you don't like cilantro, you can switch to green onions as a topping. On the other hand, if you love cilantro, you can add extra cilantro for an additional 100 yen. The French bread used for Bánh mì is softer than a typical baguette, allowing the ingredients to shine without the bread being too hard on the outside or overpowering with wheat flavor on the inside. The store collaborates with a bakery to source custom-made bread for their sandwiches. The lightly toasted French bread has a perfect crispy and fluffy texture. Inside the bread, homemade mayonnaise and pâté (liver pâté) are spread before adding the fillings. The mayonnaise is made in-house to achieve a rich and creamy flavor with a subtle egg taste. The vegetables include daikon and carrot pickles, cucumber, and cilantro. Vietnamese pickles are different from Japanese ones as they are not overly pickled and have a fresher taste. The chicken flakes seasoned with Vietnamese fish sauce (nước mắm) are well-seasoned with a perfect balance of saltiness, pairing perfectly with the vegetables. The Saigon-style ham (chả lụa) is made from pig ears sautéed to extract gelatin, giving it a chewy and crunchy double texture. The hint of black pepper adds a spicy kick. The homemade char siu is made by seasoning roast pork with Chinese five-spice powder, giving it an irresistible ethnic aroma.

I was wondering if there was anything I could take out. I've been into Banh Mi recently, so I visited this place in Shimokitazawa. The French bread was delicious! It had the perfect combination of crispy and fluffy. They have a variety of menu options, so it seems like a place where you can enjoy different things. They even served tea while I was waiting. I definitely want to come back. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to Banh Mi, I used to think of Takadanobaba, but I found a shop that rivals it! The bread and liver pate are authentic and delightful. This time, I tried the most popular item at Banh Mi Bar, which is named after the shop itself. I also recommend trying the Banh Mi Oubra with eggs or the Banh Mi Tojo with Saigon-style ham. Since I also love pho, I'm looking forward to trying it next time.

So, I went to try some Che at a place called "Bainmee Barber"! What? Are you still obsessed with tapioca? Seriously, how much tapioca can you eat? Don't you get tired of it? It all tastes the same, right? Are you so afraid of being different from everyone else? In that sense, Che is different at every place. Especially here at "Bainmee Barber," their Che is very affordable at 350 yen. It's a quick and easy snack when you're feeling a bit hungry. I chose the "Colorful Che" from the ticket machine outside the counter. I handed the food ticket to the guy at the counter and then entered the shop. The shop, where a few Vietnamese ingredients are sold, has a small counter with 4 seats and two 2-person tables. The exterior and interior, as well as the people making the food, all make you feel like you're really in Vietnam. I've never been there, though. The Colorful Che, at room temperature, comes with small pieces of ice on top, and as you mix it, it gets colder. Look, there's tapioca in it too. It has coconut milk, lightly sweetened red beans, the texture of green and orange agar, and a chewy texture, which is interesting. In Vietnam, there are street stalls everywhere where you can eat this Che. Along with the warm lotus tea we received as a service, I saw a poster for "Che Kahaimon," which is a warm Che. "I'll have that too!" The happy store manager (Japanese) said we could pay in cash, but since it was being prepared, I said, "I'll buy a food ticket for the same amount at the machine." The result was a Che with a gentle sweetness that warms your cold body. Taro and sticky rice with coconut milk make this amazing dessert! I understand why it's so popular. Can you believe taro can be a dessert? Amazing. Personally, I think Che showcases the uniqueness of a shop much better than tapioca drinks. I hope everyone notices soon!
