Near Musubi Garden, which focuses on food safety, there is a shop called Tawaniko. They have recently opened a sweets shop called Nanahako as well, and their sweets are also a favorite of mine. Whenever I pass by the shop and see their cakes on display, I can't help but go in (although they are usually almost sold out). This time, I bought a Carrot Cake for 450 yen (tax included) and a Strawberry Brown Chocolate Tart for 790 yen (tax included). Although a bit pricey, the delicious taste and texture that show their commitment to quality make it worth it, and it leaves you feeling satisfied after eating. It's hard to simply describe it as "natural." Since the cafe has limited seating, I usually opt for takeout.
Carrot Cake:
The Carrot Cake had a white chocolate roof, giving it the appearance of a small house that you break down to eat. The walnuts were crispy and paired well with the cake. It was a very delicious cake.
Strawberry Brown Chocolate Tart:
Tawaniko's tart crust is very firm and delicious. The strawberries and chocolate on top look like they are happily enjoying themselves on the tart. It was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Food safety is crucial as it ultimately affects the environment through the food chain. When safe establishments are clustered together, it creates a positive environment for new safe businesses to open, leading to a cycle of safety. If this trend spreads globally, it could eliminate illnesses caused by unnatural chemicals, allowing people to live happily and healthily. This also connects to welfare and healthcare. I hope that many authentic and safe establishments will continue to thrive in the Tenma and Tanimachi areas.

Sister store Twanoa: After eating in, I wanted to get scones for takeout but the staff seemed busy and I couldn't find any scones, so I went to the main store, Tawaniko. There was a 2-group wait around 1 PM on Sunday. I mentioned that I had eaten in at Twanoa and asked about the tart's tangy cream, which was made with a syrup of red wine-poached figs and sour cream. I purchased a Baked Fig and Earl Grey Tart for 800 yen for my daughter and a Muscat Milk Chocolate Mille-Feuille for 680 yen for my husband. He ate it at night and said the pastry was crispy and the chocolate cream was delicious. The grape's sugar content was high, but it wasn't addictive, with a light and refreshing sweetness that felt a bit lacking. The Maple Walnut Scone for 290 yen didn't taste very maple-y but had plenty of walnuts and a moist, fluffy texture. It was a bit on the small side. The Carrot Cake for 460 yen looked cute and was something I had been curious about. The carrot cake frosting was flavorful and soft, just to my liking. The cake had a good amount of walnuts and a gentle spice flavor, but the texture was a bit too crumbly for me. It was difficult to eat with a fork as it kept falling apart. If I were to only get the Carrot Cake, I might buy it from Bonne's Bake.

I visited this shop because I had to stop by for work. It was around 2 PM and I hadn't had lunch yet, so I wanted to have some delicious sweets! It was raining with thunder when I arrived, but the staff greeted me with a smile, saying "Thank you for coming in the rain," which lifted my spirits as I was feeling a bit down because of the rain. When I arrived, there was no one else in the shop, but later on, there were customers coming in for takeout or to eat in despite the thunderstorm. I ordered the limited-time menu item, Peach Mille-feuille, and a hot cafe latte. The cafe latte had latte art on top, which was super cute! It was a nice surprise since I didn't know about it beforehand. I also secretly glanced at the latte art on the table next to me, and it was a completely different illustration. It made me think that it's fun to look forward to the art when visiting. The Peach Mille-feuille was not too sweet and delicious. Usually, mille-feuille can be messy to eat, but this one was not. I devoured it in no time. The Peach Mille-feuille and cafe latte cost around 1250 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I had been interested in Tawanico/Towanoa for a while, so I decided to stop by for a quick cake. It was a weekday around lunchtime, so it wasn't crowded. I ordered the following:
- Baked fig and Earl Grey tart ¥850
Although I was also tempted by the peach mille-feuille and roll cake, I wanted to try the tart from this shop, so I stuck to my original plan. The result was great, with the Earl Grey-infused tart base being delicious and the combination with figs being spot on. The tart base wasn't too hard, which I liked. I ended up having coffee as usual, but they also had a wide selection of drinks that looked delicious. The staff were very friendly, and it's clear why the cakes are popular. I'm curious about their cafe-exclusive French toast as well. Thank you for the meal!

I love mille-feuille, so I searched on Instagram and found a delicious-looking shop, so I went there. I visited around 2:30 pm on a weekday! There were seats available, so I ate in the store, and I was able to enjoy the peach mille-feuille that I had reserved before my visit.
[Ordered items]
- Peach mille-feuille
- Hot coffee (recommended by the staff)
The gentle sweetness of the peach, the light cream, custard cream, and crispy pastry were all delicious. I initially reserved a tart by mistake over the phone, but when I arrived, the mistake was corrected. The staff was very kind and helpful, so thank you very much. The peach mille-feuille will be ending in August, so I want to visit again before it's gone.

I went to try the peach mille-feuille that started on June 5th. The sweet and juicy peaches wrapped in plenty of cream matched perfectly with the crispy mille-feuille. I couldn't decide what to choose because there were still many options left around 4:30 pm. I enjoyed it with a hojicha latte.

I used it for the first time. The entrance is a bit hard to find, so please be careful when using it. I had a chocolate tart and coffee. There is a takeout-only shop about 10m away. I enjoyed the delicious food.

I had a cheesecake sandwiched between cookies. The refreshing lemon flavor combined with the cheese and cookies was delicious! I also tried a chocolate and cherry muffin and a chocolate scone to take home, and the muffin was incredibly tasty! It was a good purchase. I heard that the flavors change with the seasons, so I would like to visit again in a different season! The restaurant had a white and wooden theme, with lots of natural light coming in through large windows. They used various Nordic tableware, and my friend's dishes had a different cute pattern. The restaurant is located a bit away from the station.

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Temmabashi Station, Tower Nico is a popular dessert shop known for its small, cozy atmosphere. The place is always packed on weekends, with friendly service and a warm ambiance. In addition to beautiful desserts, their latte art is also a hit. Since reservations are not accepted, it's best to aim for their opening around 11 am. I tried their Sakura Tart and a hot tea this time. The Sakura Tart, which evokes the feeling of spring, was topped with plenty of cream, raspberries, strawberries, and sakura cream on a crispy tart crust, offering a delightful and satisfying sweetness. Tower Nico is highly rated for its delicious sweets and tea in the Temmabashi area, so be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal!

Osaka City Chuo-ku Otedori 2-2-9 San Mansion Otemae [Tawanico] @tawanico✎︎______________◎Strawberry Tart ¥805◎Cafe Latte ¥560When you think of Tawanico, you think of their square tart. The cute visuals are so appealing. The tart has custard cream and mascarpone cream on top of the crust, with fresh strawberries lined up densely. It looks delicious and even feels lovely. The crust is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, creating a perfect texture. The strawberries are incredibly sweet and delicious. They change the cream used for the seasonal fruit tart each time, adding various twists. I want to try other tarts as well. The small tables and cozy, warm interior make it a very comfortable and heartwarming cafe experience. #tawanico #TawanicoTart #Yonchome Tanimachi #Tenma Bridge #OsakaCafe #CafeHopping #CafeLife #KansaiGourmet #KansaiCafe #OsakaFood #OsakaLunch #CafeLovers #Tanimachi #Bakeshop #Sweets #StrawberrySweets #StrawberryTart #CakeShop #Cake #Tart #Osaka #CafeLife #CafeGram #InstaGourmetAward2023 #InstaGourmet #Cafe

I requested takeout and a reservation. It was just past 12 pm on a weekday, and there were 1-2 left of some items, but it seemed like they still had all varieties. The eat-in area was full, but someone was just leaving, so I decided to dine in and have the strawberry tart as well. Each item was carefully packaged, and it took a bit of time, so some people who were in a hurry ended up leaving even while waiting in line. The tart crust and the topping were fresh and delicious. The tart crust varies depending on the variety.

The famous café in Temmabashi has a limited number of seats and cannot be reserved, so there may be a wait on holidays. However, on this day, it happened to have an available table and we were able to get in right away. I was so happy because I had always wanted to go there. The cute tart and cute latte are Instagram-worthy. The taste is also great. A must-visit café in Temmabashi. Please give it a try.

My niece's exam is approaching, so I decided to bring her a strawberry tart as a treat! I called ahead to reserve it and picked it up in the evening. While picking up the tart, I noticed a roll cake in the showcase that caught my eye. It looked moist with strawberries inside, so I decided to buy it as well. When I tried it, the roll cake's texture was indeed moist, the sugar on the outside was nice, and the cream and strawberries inside were perfectly balanced in sweetness and sourness. The crepe-like layer around the strawberries was a nice touch. It was delicious and I definitely want to have it again. It cost around 600 yen. *My niece passed her exam successfully!

I went to a cafe in Temmabashi called Tawanico! They serve a delicious sweet potato tree parfait. The parfait has layers of cheese, sweet potato cream, sweet potato paste, and tart crust. It's a rich sweet potato cake that isn't too heavy. You can really taste the sweet potato, so sweet potato lovers will be delighted! The Tawanico coffee has a hint of acidity and a clean aftertaste. It's not too bitter, making it easy to drink. It paired well with the sweet potato parfait. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had been curious about Tawaniko for a while, and I finally got to go. I was able to easily get a seat for dine-in around 3pm on a weekday. The interior had about four two-seater tables. There were still plenty of cakes available for takeout customers. This time, I ordered the persimmon and roasted green tea tart, and the grape tart to share. The persimmon and roasted green tea tart had a gentle, Japanese flavor, while the grape tart had nuts in it. The tart bottoms were moist and crumbly, and very delicious. In addition to tarts, they also had carrot cake, shortcake, roll cake, and baked goods that all looked appealing. I'm interested in trying other pastries, so I definitely want to visit again.

Long time no see, Tawanico-san! Queen Nina's tart. It's incredibly delicious with the matcha cream...! The pear tart is also reliably delicious ♥ Tawanico-san's charm lies in being able to eat seasonal fruits the most deliciously. #Osaka #Temmabashi #TanimachiYonchome #Tawanico

At Tawanico in Temmabashi, Osaka, the pear tart (784 yen), fig and Earl Grey tart (815 yen), and iced latte (560 yen) are top favorites. The lineup of autumn flavors is still lingering in the midst of the summer remnants. The pear tart, a year-round favorite, features Aurora pears, which are sweet and juicy, paired with custard and sour cream on almond crust. The fig tart is brûléed and paired with Earl Grey almond crust and red wine sour cream. The combination of Earl Grey with fig is exquisite. Oh, the happiness!

I went to Tower Nico to try their seasonal peach tart, as I heard they have delicious tarts. However, I ended up choosing the mille-feuille after being torn between the two options upon seeing their visual presentation. The crispy mille-feuille with juicy peaches and light cream was a perfect match and incredibly delicious. I will definitely visit again!♡

During normal days, it's relatively easy to dine in at Tawanico. I love their cookie sandwich, but the blueberry tart looks so cute, I'll go with that. I sat at an empty table and after a while, they brought me the tart and drink. The tart is so cute! The lavender-colored cream on top is tangy sour cream, with fresh blueberries in between. Below that, there's blueberry compote and more sour cream. The tart crust tastes like chocolate and has chocolate chips scattered throughout. And what's this, red beans! They're in there too, how unique. The cookie crust at the bottom is crispy and delicious. It's a fun tart with a variety of flavors. The iced tea, served in a thin glass cup, looks like a plastic cup from afar. I think it was Darjeeling, with a refreshing hint of bitterness. I'll keep an eye out for another chance to dine in. Thank you for the meal.

Tawaniko-san, this was my first time eating in and it was amazing! I had tried their tart before and fell in love with the crispy crust, so I wanted to try it again. I found out they had a limited edition lemon cookie sandwich, so I had to go try it! The cookie crust was so crispy and the lemon cheesecake inside had a subtle lemon flavor. It was not too sweet and very refreshing. I also liked that it wasn't a one drink minimum requirement. I will definitely be coming back for their fig and peach seasons too!
