I visited Bakuro-san, who offers meat from a whole Kagoshima black wagyu cow, after the state of emergency was lifted. Here is what I ate: - Raw heart sashimi: Fresh and chewy, it was a delightful experience to have raw meat after a long time. - Three types of tongue: From left to right, green onion salt, thick cut, and top tongue. The thick cut tongue had just the right texture and flavor. - Sirloin yakiniku: The staff grills it to perfection, and the sirloin melts in your mouth, making you want to exclaim how delicious it is. - Premium 5 types platter: This day's selection included camel hump, zabuton, meat hira, inside skirt, and kainomi. The zabuton was my favorite for its tender texture and just the right amount of marbling. - Mega loin 200g: A voluminous loin that was closer to kalbi due to its marbling, which might be too heavy for those who don't like fatty meat. - Frankfurter: A rare cut that can only be obtained in 5kg quantities from one cow. Juicy and flavorful, it resembled kalbi. - Creamy ude: A flavorful and tender cut that was a delight to eat. - Lamb core: A thick cut with a steak-like feel, it was meaty and satisfying. - Fillet: Despite being thick, it was surprisingly tender and full of flavor, making me wonder if it was actually fillet meat. I also enjoyed a rare fruit sake made from La France pears. All the meat was delicious, but the heart sashimi, sirloin yakiniku, zabuton, fillet, and top tongue were particularly outstanding. The atmosphere was great, so I would love to visit again when I have the chance!

I woke up craving yakiniku, so I decided to have it for lunch at "Yakiniku no Bakuro Hakata Store". I ordered the half & half option, which had gone up in price without me realizing, by 400 yen. I chose kalbi, salted tongue, and horumon. The meat was tender and delicious. You can get free refills of rice and soup. The rice was so good, I couldn't stop eating it! The kimchi was pickled, but I wish there was a bit more of it. The restaurant has a high-end feel but offers reasonable prices, making it popular. You can also make lunch reservations. The seating time was around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Thank you for the meal!

After a weekend of drinking too much, my stomach is finally starting to recover. I decided to visit Bakuro-san for the first time in a while. When you start feeling better, you start craving meat, right? We were able to enjoy beer again! My partner ordered the kalbi set, while I went for the lean meat set. We took our time grilling the meat and savoring each bite. The lean meat was all tender and delicious, especially the skirt steak! We made a reservation before going since this place is popular, and it turned out to be a good decision as there were a few people waiting. There were a lot of Korean customers too. The meat at Bakuro-san is really tasty and personally, it's one of my top choices for yakiniku restaurants. By the way, the lunch seating time is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant at its opening time of 5:00 PM! It seemed to be a popular place as there was already a line forming!!! I had made a reservation so I was able to enter smoothly. I think it's a matter of luck whether you can get in without a reservation. In fact, it may be quite difficult. The interior was beautiful and had a luxurious feel, making it very comfortable to eat! I met up with my friends after a long time and they requested to have delicious yakiniku near Hakata, so we went to Bakuro-san. The location is near Canal City Hakata. We ordered the Wagyu feast set for 2,300 yen. You can choose between grilled vegetables or horumon. We chose horumon. The set includes 6 rare cuts, 2 types of horumon, namul, kimchi, tofu, salad, rice, and wakame soup. You can have seconds of rice and soup. The marbled meat was tender and the sweetness of the fat spreads out. The lean meat was refreshing with wasabi. Everything was delicious. We made a reservation over the phone. It was full during lunchtime, and there seemed to be many tourists, so I recommend making a reservation. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at a popular yakiniku restaurant operated by Oozaki Farm in Kagoshima. They offer high-quality A4-A5 rank black wagyu beef and even allow you to taste the premium black wagyu beef raw, claiming to use only top-tier black wagyu beef. Despite the high-end image, they carefully select top-ranking black wagyu beef and offer it at a reasonable price. The restaurant is located a 9-minute walk from JR Hakata Station and a 2-minute walk from the Subway Nanakuma Line Kushida-Jinja Mae Station, close to Nakasu and Canal City Hakata. For lunch, they offer dishes like yakiniku teppanyaki set, stone-grilled bibimbap, and special beef tendon cold noodles for under 1,000 yen each. I tried the Kalbi set (1.5 times) for 2,000 yen and the black wagyu beef hamburger (double) for 1,870 yen. The Kalbi set comes with 150g of carefully selected Kalbi beef, which is tender and delicious with plenty of marbling. It also includes 2 pieces of horumon, kimchi (kakuteki), namul, and tofu. Salad, rice, and soup are included, and you can have free refills of rice and soup during lunch. The black wagyu beef hamburger (double) for 1,870 yen is unexpectedly generous in size, with each patty weighing 180g, totaling 360g. It is a firm and juicy hamburger that oozes meat juice when cut. Unlike the fluffy and soft Western-style hamburgers, this one has a satisfying texture. It comes with special Japanese-style sauce and homemade ponzu sauce for you to enjoy alternating flavors. It was a delicious meal.

The expiration date of my meal voucher was approaching, so I wanted to have yakiniku. I went to a very famous yakiniku restaurant nearby, but was told there was a 2.5 hour wait, so it was a second choice. I opted for a slightly luxurious lunch. Personally, I found the lamb tongue and onigiri cuts to be delicious.

We went for yakiniku in the afternoon. We ordered a healthy set with lean meat, top tongue, and skirt steak. As I find fatty meat heavier each year, I really enjoyed the lean meat. The wakame soup, white rice, and kimchi were delicious too, and I left feeling very satisfied. You need to make a reservation on weekends, or you'll have to wait in line.

I made a reservation in advance for lunch and it was the right decision. The restaurant was fully booked and those without reservations had to wait in line or give up. After struggling to decide what to order, I ended up choosing the "Wagyu Three Kinds" set and also ordered yakisuki and a highball, which were not on the lunch menu. The yakisuki, cooked right in front of me, was delicious with the egg yolk, and the highball I had in the middle of the day was exceptional! It was a great way to end my trip.

There were about 4 groups waiting in line inside the restaurant!! Waited for about 30 minutes to get inside! Ordered the recommended Bakuro Wagyu feast set (including Marukaku, Togarashi, Ichibo, Inside Skirt, Sirloin, Manju, Harami, Kainomi, and Tsurami) at 1.5 times the regular portion! Rice and wakame soup are free refills! The quality of the meat at this price is amazing! Especially the Manju and Sirloin are incredibly delicious! Juicy and tender, they melt in your mouth when you chew! The quality of the black wagyu beef is really impressive! Even the leaner cuts like Marukaku and Togarashi are tender and tasty! Ordered extra rice, couldn't resist the deliciousness and had another bowl! It's great to be able to enjoy this level of quality for lunch! It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the meal!

The marbled Yukke was a big hit for me with just the right amount of fat (a bit on the generous side). It felt like I was eating rich fatty tuna, but not too heavy, making me want to go for seconds. The beef tongue was cut to a perfect thickness, not too thin or too thick, and was very tender and delicious. The Harami was just average since I ordered the regular cut, and the Nakaochi Karubi had a bit of fat and tendon, which was expected. However, the Garlic Hormone Rice I had at the end was delicious! The seasoning was excellent. The atmosphere was great too, and I would love to visit again! Next time, I want to reserve a course meal!

"Cow meat is said to have less umami compared to chicken or pork." I have been saying this for almost 10 years. Reviewers may have thought, "What is this guy talking about?" But I finally found it! The Umami Information Center, an NPO, has released analysis data! The amount of inosinic acid, an umami component, is 80mg/100g for beef, 150-230mg/100g for chicken, and 130-230mg/100g for pork. In other words, beef has only about half to one-third of the umami compared to chicken or pork! I am confidently stating the validity of my theory, but I also like the taste of beef. I just hope those who blindly say "beef is the most delicious" will consider this analysis result and taste it properly. For reference, I will attach a screenshot of the data. Now, I visited "Bakuro," a famous yakiniku restaurant in the prefecture. The lunch kalbi set with 100g of meat costs 1200 yen. There was also a half & half set with kalbi 50g and marinated kalbi 60g for the same price, so I ordered that with hormone or vegetables, choosing the former. The kalbi had three different cuts. The meat with a lot of marbling was incredibly tender but lacked umami. The other two cuts with more lean meat were nicely flavorful and tender, quite good. But honestly, lean beef from foreign countries has more umami. I wrote a lot, but I can't criticize the restaurant for offering high-quality wagyu at a reasonable price. Rice and soup are free refills, and the inclusive pricing is also nice. The rice is fluffy and each grain stands out. The stylish interior gives a sense of luxury, making it suitable for dining with the opposite sex, don't you think?

A shop located next to Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka. They are said to have purchased a whole cow from Ozaki Ranch in Kagoshima. We enjoyed delicious food in a private room, but it was a bit awkward being alone in the private room (^^; It's a place to go with friends who get along well. I love this yakiniku restaurant. They have regular events. The Hakata branch is relatively easy to get into even with last-minute reservations. It had been a while since I last visited Fukuoka and Bakuro. I was really looking forward to it, but I was worried about being able to eat slowly. However, my child fell asleep before we got to the restaurant, so we ended up eating while waiting for them to wake up. Usually, one of us watches the child while the other eats quickly, but this time we were able to enjoy a leisurely meal. We ordered grilled sukiyaki, mixed hormone, a platter of three types of tongue, and peppers. The meat was delicious as always, and I especially enjoyed the grilled sukiyaki and peppers. The thick-cut tongue and salted green onion tongue were also very tasty. While the meat was delicious, I felt that the side dishes were lacking a bit. In particular, I have felt this way before, but I found the rice to be a bit lacking compared to the meat, which was disappointing.
