I found a patisserie that offers natural and delicious baked goods without unnecessary ingredients, perfect for moms to give to their children. The charm lies in its kindness. "OHAYO Biscuit" is located in a quiet residential area, about a 20-minute walk from Imadegawa Station, which is not the most convenient location. Nearby, you'll find the "Raku Museum," which has been continuing pottery making for over four hundred years in connection with Rikyu. If you're tired of the bustling Gion and Arashiyama areas, a quiet stroll in Kyoto can be quite enjoyable. The cozy interior of the shop is filled with a sweet aroma, focusing more on baked goods than fresh cakes. They offer a variety of treats like galettes, sablés, financiers, shortbreads, raisin sandwiches, pandepis, scones, and carrot cake. Among them, the carrot cake stood out to me. It's baked in a canelé shape, with a cute form and a crispy texture infused with cinnamon and nutmeg. The smooth and rich cream cheese and the crunchy crumble make it delicious and satisfying. I also purchased some treats to take home due to their irresistible taste. The shop's atmosphere is lovely, and listening to the gentle chitchat of the staff while enjoying the treats makes you feel happy. The shop and café space may not be spacious, but this coziness is quite calming. I promised myself to come back for sure. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was lured by the name "Ohayo" and went in the morning, but they were closed. I returned for lunch. I tried the carrot cake and the duck waffle pistachio. The menu is not extensive, but it shows good taste. Both items had a strong homemade feel, with flavors that were of high quality like those found in top-tier establishments.

Located a little over a 15-minute walk from Imadegawa, this shop is nestled in a residential area and offers seating for dining in. Cakes and baked goods are neatly lined up. Carrot Cake 410 yen, Shine Muscat Tart 450 yen, Potiron 390 yen. The Carrot Cake has a well-balanced flavor of cinnamon and nutmeg in the dough. The cream cheese complements it, making it enjoyable even for those who don't like sweet things. The Shine Muscat is an almond tart with a green tea flavor. It comes with sour cream custard, yogurt cream, and muscat grapes on top. Potiron is a pumpkin pudding with soba flour crumble as an accent. It has a gentle taste that even children would enjoy. I would like to visit again if given the chance.

After helping my son move out following his college graduation and retirement from the club, we went on a trip to Kyoto. We heard that there is a famous sweets shop nearby in 2023, so we decided to buy a souvenir for my wife. We took a leisurely stroll through the Kyoto-like residential area to the shop with a chic appearance that blends in well with the surroundings. If you didn't know, you might pass by thinking it's just a regular cake shop. Unfortunately, they were sold out of Shine Muscat Tart. I wonder if it sells out in the morning? ☆Banana and Caramel Nut Tart 390 yen ☆Dacquoise Pistachio 450 yen ☆Souffle Fromage 410 yen ☆Potiron 390 yen The items are only available for takeaway for up to 2 hours.

I went. Good morning. It's Biscuit. I bought a roll cake, a cake with cinnamon, and a butter sandwich. I haven't eaten the butter sandwich because I gave it away. Well, I say I gave it away, but when I brought it to my parents' house, they took it. I can't really say no to my parents. The cake was delicious with the perfect combination of cheese and cinnamon flavors. Quite an interesting combination, isn't it? The roll cake was delicious with its gentle, fluffy texture and plenty of whipped cream. Thank you for the meal.

It was the best experience! It was my first fig of the summer! The food was so delicious when dining in, and I also got some baked goods to go. They were so fluffy that I was surprised. I accidentally overheard the staff chatting, and it was such a cozy conversation.

While strolling along Imadegawa, I found a cake shop that caught my eye, so I decided to visit. I bought a Forenoir and a raisin sandwich to take out. I opened them right after purchasing this time, so I didn't even remove the plastic, but I'm looking forward to enjoying them as a snack in the evening.

On Friday at 3:00 PM, we stopped by the café near Kissa Zou and found a bookmarked shop. We naturally decided to go in and bought three soufflé cheesecakes for our family's snack, each priced at 410 yen. It was a bit sold out with only three soufflé cheesecakes left. If you have something specific in mind, it's best to visit early. The cakes were very delicious, and the children enjoyed eating them. We are curious about the other baked goods as well. There is a bike parking lot next to the shop, so I made a mental note that I can come by motorcycle. We will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

A charming shop in Kyoto for sweets and cakes^_^ They have a wide variety of delicious baked goods and pastries! Carrot cake, sweet potato cheesecake, animal-shaped biscuits... The sweet potato cheesecake is moist and chewy with a delightful combination of cheese and gentle sweetness from the sweet potato^_^ The carrot cake has a fluffy texture, and the spices and frosting complement each other well, making it delicious too☆ The crispy crumble on top adds a nice touch! I also bought some adorable animal biscuits♩ I want to go back again to try other sweets because I enjoyed it so much〜!

I went to buy some snacks. The cakes with plenty of fruits were already sold out. The interior of the store was quite empty. I bought a chocolate pound cake with figs and two types of cookies. The rich chocolate cake was delicious with vanilla ice cream that clung to the fork. The cookies had flavors I liked. I will visit again at an earlier time.

A family visiting Kyoto requested for a place with fresh sweets (especially Forenoir) but without a cooler bag (for takeout to the Tokyo area), so they focused on baked goods. The Berry Chiffon Cake had a strong aroma of egg whites, a traditional chiffon cake with a hint of berries that lingers in the aftertaste. The Pineapple Cake, with its generous thickness and size, had a soft pineapple filling making it undoubtedly the best among those previously tried. Despite the crispy wheat base, it remained light and didn't crumble easily, providing a satisfying eating experience that justified its short shelf life. The Dofinoa had a moderate amount of nougat and adequate gaps between the walnuts, making it easy to eat despite its size. It lacked the greasiness and stickiness often found in similar treats, with a light and crispy shortbread base. The Weekend Citron Creme Double, made with butter, offered a rich flavor without being overwhelming, striking a delicate balance with a hint of lemon that wasn't overpowering. Unlike many shops that tend to overdo lemon-flavored treats, this place achieved a perfect balance where various elements could be savored, which personally appealed to the reviewer. Overall, the Chocola shop, known for its baked goods, delivered consistently delicious treats with deep flavors and light textures. Rather than relying heavily on butter for richness (which often results in similar-tasting products), they focused on creating genuinely decent pastries, leaving a very positive impression. Each item enjoyed was a delightful experience, and the reviewer looks forward to visiting again, hopefully with a cooler bag next time.

I happened to pass by this place during a stroll the day before. When I peeked through the window, I noticed there were more baked goods available than the last time I visited! I couldn't resist stopping by (laughs). I decided to buy some snacks to enjoy at the inn later. This time, I purchased a raisin sandwich cookie, a lemon cookie with cute icing and dried fruit toppings, a bite-sized cookie, and a baked good that was like a cross between a cookie and a sponge cake, totaling four items. I took the bite-sized snacks home for my daughter to enjoy before I could even try them myself (laughs). The other three treats were enjoyed as snacks at the inn. The raisin sandwich cookie was a slightly larger cookie filled with plenty of buttercream and studded with raisins. Yum, delicious! The lemon cookie had a lemon-shaped dough with lemon-flavored icing, which I loved for its sweet and sour taste. The icing and dried fruit cookie looked very cute, and although it made me happy to look at, it didn't leave a strong impression taste-wise. I bought it partly because I thought it would look good in photos (laughs). However, the icing cookie here was tasty! It wasn't too hard, and the acidity from the dried fruits was nice. As this shop is quite popular, I think it's best to visit right after they open to have the best selection. I truly enjoyed the treats. Thank you for the meal!

It is a small pastry shop located near Cafe Zou. I have always wanted to visit whenever I pass by, and I finally had the chance to go. I bought some baked goods and a carrot cake, and the baked goods were indeed very delicious.

After having lunch at the hotel, we decided to take a bus and visit a few shops to buy some sweets. The first shop we came to was Ohayo Biscuit. I had visited it a few years ago, but this time, when I arrived around 2 p.m., there were hardly any sweets left in the store... It was a bit sad to see the same situation as last time. However, since we were already there, I decided to try three items. I tried the Galette, Financier, and Weekend Citron. Both baked goods were delicious, but the Weekend Citron was particularly impressive and tasty. The fine-textured sponge cake with a refreshing lemon scent, tangy juice, and generous icing was delightful. It's a perfect snack for this season. I don't often get to try their sweets when there are few left, but I happened to stop by during a stroll on the May holidays. I will save my thoughts on the sweets from that visit for another time. Thank you for the meal!

♡ #ohayobiscuit @ #Imadegawa ♡ [Delicious baked goods that impress with simplicity and quality of ingredients] Received Ohayo Biscuit as a Kyoto souvenir from a dear friend! They knew I was curious about this place and brought it as a gift - so touching! ♡ ・Sablé Praliné: Crispy thin sablé with a perfect balance of buttery aroma, almond powder, and rich praliné paste baked firmly, topped with caramelized sugar for a subtle sweetness, nutty fragrance, and a hint of bitterness. Simply delicious! ・Macaron Macadamia: A rare find at a bakery - dense and moist with a strong almond powder flavor, reminiscent of a concentrated financiers. Mildly sweet with a gentle blend of egg and honey flavors. ・Palmier: A high-quality palmier resembling a home-style pie - light and crispy with a rich buttery taste, enhanced by maple sugar for a touch of crunchiness like a croissant. Just the right amount of sweetness with a hint of saltiness. ・Chocolate Coconut Cookie: A vegan cookie made without butter, eggs, or dairy. Crispy texture, light melting sensation, well-balanced chocolate, and a perfect level of sweetness with a distinct coconut flavor. Loved it! The Guimauve (Cassis Passion) also offered a delightful fruity experience. Each treat exuded meticulousness and a love for French pastries - absolutely loved them all! Can't wait to buy some when I visit Kyoto myself.

It was my first visit. It is a patisserie located in Horikawa Nakadachiuri, Kyoto. I visited a little after 2 p.m. on Saturday. Many sweets were already sold out. I purchased the following: Raisin Sandwich, Baba au Rhum, and Sweet Potato Cheese Tart. The Baba au Rhum is an adult dessert with rum and Grand Marnier soaked into brioche. The Sweet Potato Cheese Tart contains sweet potato paste in a cheese tart. When eaten, the sweet potato melts smoothly with a nice texture. The combination of cheese and sweet potato was quite good. Since there were few items available, I would like to try different sweets next time. Thank you very much.

(From a blog post) Today, I visited a French pastry shop located along Nakairi-dori on the west side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. ■OHAYO biscuit is the name of the shop, marked by a sign in the shape of a biscuit. Despite its name suggesting a biscuit specialty store, it seems they also sell other baked goods and cakes. The cozy shop had two groups of customers already, indicating its popularity. Inside, various baked goods were on display, making it hard to choose. You can also enjoy your sweets at a table by the window. I ended up purchasing mainly biscuits to take home. ●Sable Nantes was described as a traditional treat from Nantes in France, with a crispy texture. It was a simple yet enjoyable biscuit. ●Coffee and Walnut Meringue was a fluffy meringue with chocolate chips sprinkled on top. The meringue had a crisp and light texture, and the fruity freshness of the chocolate was delightful. ●Animal Biscuits were shaped like pigs, dogs, and elephants. They had a unique flavor from whole wheat and mustard seeds, which felt innovative. Baked goods truly have depth, as I encountered a variety of them.

Got a carrot cake at a sweets shop in Kyoto! The bitterness of the carrot and the sweetness of the cream were a great match. It was my first visit to this popular sweets shop in Kyoto! The carrot cake I bought had a nice balance of the cake's bitterness and the cream's sweetness. It was delicious!
